A WEREWOLF IN MANHATTAN was cute and delightful. I totally stole this one off the tbr list of a buddy-read sort of game in one of my GR paranormal discussion groups. And it was such a great find!
A novelist writing about werewolves who attracts the attention of actual werewolves when she comes a little too close to the truth in her books. She’s assigned a bodyguard when a stalker takes an interest. Her bodyguard’s assignment is to determine how much she really knows. And to keep the werewolf from the rival pack from doing anything stupid. Too bad he’s falling for the human woman rather than the werewolf he’s betrothed to. This was super-cute! Lots of humor, lots of werewolf-funny, and no super-horrible baddies. Just a lot of fun. I will definitely be reading more. And good steamy scenes!

I started out really enjoying this book. It was light—both in terms of worldbuilding and tone—but sometimes I don’t want heavy or complex. Sometimes I just want to smile and giggle and enjoy a lighthearted romance. I think if I had to liken it to something I would probably pick the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. They’re not the same storyline or writing style, but the tone is similar.
The setup of this book really appealed to me. An author who writes about fictional werewolves hits a little too close to home for the real werewolves, so they have to send in someone to see how she knows so much. Sounds interesting, right? It was, at least in the beginning.
I really liked watching Aidan trip over his attraction to Emma while trying to investigate things for his pack. He amused me (in a good way) as he tried to insert himself into Emma’s life without getting too close to her personally. He was cute and determined to resist his attraction, but his unfortunate genetic flaw made it difficult for him—a little too conveniently at times. I also enjoyed watching his interactions with his brother as he tried to talk sense into Aidan. They had some pretty hilarious lines together.
Unfortunately, things went downhill for me when Emma found out the truth about the werewolves. Her personality took a sharp left turn into the land of delusion and I didn’t appreciate having to go along for the ride.
Some might consider the following SPOILERS, so I would turn away now if you don’t want to read them. I just can’t say why it got the grade it did without discussing it.
I was also a little irritated by Emma’s hypocritical green attitude throughout the book. She faulted Aidan for having the money to afford incredible luxuries and even when he called her on her crap and pointed out her designer outfits and her enjoyment of the luxuries she's allowing him to give her for "research" she never really changed. It’s a pet peeve of mine when characters harp on the evilness of wealth, so that was not a fun personality trait for me to read about.
I wouldn’t say this was a horrible book, but I definitely wouldn’t say it was good. The relationship ended up being too disappointing and Emma too irritating for me to really enjoy it.

Just very meh. Incredibly mediocre. I finished it, so it wasn't god awful, but so much about it left me cold- the characters, the settings, their reactions. It is basically every werewolf romance, nothing new, and the romance isn't even that engaging.
The worst part was the author's penchant for describing everything, including the characters thoughts, down to the last detail. She leaves nothing for you to figure out, and repeats things ad nauseum and with maximum redundancy - like how the hot rich hot guy REALLY wants the cute author chick but shouldn't. No, really, he shouldn't. But he wants to. And he's really rich and hot. And a genius. On and on it goes. And she really wants him. So maybe she'll just go for some casual sex. But she really wants him. But if he doesn't want her then she isn't interested! Yes she is. But he said no. Maybe if she begs just a little more pathetically he'll say yes... but she isn't desperate or anything!
To top it all off, he has this little problem where he turns into a wolf if he gets turned on. And if they do it doggie style, they are bonded for life. Not as doggies, just doggie style. I kid you not.
Meh meh meh.

I have had this novel for sometime and for some reason it got lost in my TBR list and what a shame. This is my first journey with Vicki Lewis Thompson and I have to say it will not be my last one.
I love shifter books! I especially love well written shifter books with fully rounded characters and a fresh story line. A Werewolf in Manhattan was that for me. It was wonderful that the heroine was a writer of Shifter paranormal romances. It was almost as if the heroine was VLT herself. Emma was everything I like in a heroine. She was sassy, strong willed but sensible, in touch with her feelings. She was not a crybaby or over the top emotional. I found her really relatable. Aiden was a wonderful alpha shifter but not over the top. I found that he was more relatable than most of the alpha heroes out there. I think he was more human than most, and it was great to see him not fighting himself too much over his attraction with Emma. He may not have been completely able to name his emotions but he sure showed her how he felt.
The story was fresh and I enjoyed the world VLT created. I listened to the book on audio and the narrator did a wonderful job. I'm looking forward to listening to the next in the series tonight.
A 4 gold twinkling stars for this new to me series. I'm off to the Northwoods now for the next werewolf adventure.

Emma Gavin is the bestselling author of a series of werewolf books, but as far as she's concerned she's just created an entertaining fantasy - after all werewolves don't exist, right? Wrong! Aidan Wallace is in charge of the Wallace pack's security, and when he realised Emma's books were closer to fact than fiction he was sent to investigate. Now Aidan must figure out if Emma has a rogue werewolf informant, or if she's just very creative as well as why he is so attracted to her.
I've read a couple of the author's books before (Over Hexed which I loved, and Nerd in Shining Armor which I didn't) so I approached this book with some trepidation. I was drawn in by the cover, as well as the 'author discovers her made up world is real' storyline which I've enjoyed in other books. I did enjoy the book, but it was definitely a lighter read than I was expecting.
I like Emma and Aidan as lead characters, and they were both well developed but I felt a little let down that the villan of the book wasn't particularly threatening and was pretty cliched. I know the book isn't about the bad guy, but he could have been a bit more menacing. The book is, however, well focused on Emma's innocence of the werewolf world around her and it was amusing to see Aidan trying to cover up his wolfy reactions.
One thing that could have been improved more was the ending which seemed rushed. The book builds up to a worlds-colliding type confrontation and it is all dealt with very quickly. It seemed like the author set up a big drama and then wasn't sure what to do with it so she went for the easiest option.
All in all, it was a fun light read and I'll probably pick up a copy of the next book Werewolf in the North Woods: A Wild About You Novel when it comes out in October 2011.

'A Werewolf in Manhattan' is the first instalment in the Wild About You series by Vicki Lewis Thompson. I've only read one novel from VLT before, which was a cute, fast read. This novel turned out the same.
The characters were fun and easy to like. Emma, was smart and funny. Aiden, was the real package. Handsome, smart, wealthy and loyal. I loved his character. Oh, I almost forgot... He's a werewolf. The heir of the pack leader.
The only thing that got a bit annoying was towards the end, when Emma fought for her ability to keep writing werewolf novels. I agree with her, to a point. I just think she stood her ground maybe...too much. *shrugs* It got repetitive.
That being said, it was a fun, light, steamy read. I finished it in under a few hours and went on to the next in the series. I felt as if I was in a reading rut, but this book helped me get back without thinking too much. *laughs*
I recommend this novel if you want a past paced, light romance. You won't be disappointed.

An Ok romance with potential not realized.
The Good: So I really liked Aidan. He really had the making of great Alpha hero. Tall, gorgeous, genius IQ, and very wealthy. I mean, what else could you want? I also loved the idea our heroine was a paranormal romance writer who writes werewolf heroes. It does get her in trouble with the local Were Pack because her imagination is too close to the truth. I liked the secondary characters as well, especially, Nadia and Aidan's younger brother Roarke. The chemistry between Aidan and Emma was so good and for the most part the super sexy parts were pretty darn exciting as well.
The Bad: While I did like Emma's choice of careers and her and Aidan's smexy times, I just couldn't get a good grasp of who she was. She flipped from a MarySue who was just kind of boring to someone with a backbone only to become a sexed up vixen and back again. During her backbone times she tried fighting for her "right" to continue writing her fictional novels of werewolves. This of course was after she found out werewolves were real and accepted it in the blink of an eye. As the existence of werewolves has to be kept a secret and the pack community were going so far as to investigate an author's fictional book writing. There were talks of even killing her should she know too much. With that in mind she continued to say things like she'd rather be DEAD than lose her career of writing her novels. I have rights! You can't stop my First Amendment rights! How about stay alive Emma? How about that? Why not change direction just a bit and write about vampires or witches. Oh and lets not get into Emma's snobby "I'm so green" attitude. Looking down on Aidan for his wealth and the lifestyle he has but then justifies letting Aidan pamper her with luxuries and it comes out she has a bunch of designer clothes and designer shoes. Hello kettle. Meet pot.
In a Nutshell: An easy breezy read without a lot of substance but a decent enough read to spend a few hours with. As far as recommending this book I'd only suggest someone looking for some pure paranormal fluff pick this one up.

Since the moment I saw this cover and read the synopsis, I wanted to read this book.
Emma is a best-seller writer. Her book? Paranormal romance, including werewolves. She's funny and sweet, but her life is very different from the heroines in her books. She just has a boring boyfriend and spends her days in her house, writing and drinking coffee.
The werewolves exists, and Aiden Wallace is determined to find out how Emma knows so much about them. So he starts to investigate her and just when he's about to leave her alone, a rouge wolf starts to contact her.
A Werewolf in Manhattan is one of those books that starts so good but in the end I wanted more. I was really enjoying the story and the relationship between Emma and Aiden. They were very hot and both had strong personalities...Emma being intelligent and free spirited, and Aiden being the alpha male. Their world was very described and the plot good until Emma discovers the truth about the wolves. She turns to be very stubborn and Aiden turns out to do whatever his father said.
After everything is discovered, I felt like the plot was too fast and the conflict wasn't really resolved. They couldn't be together and suddenly then they were madly in love and thinking about binding. She was in danger and practically kidnapped, but her only worry was her laptop.
Still, I enjoyed the werewolves and Emma being a writer. I think it's the first time I read about a protagonist being a writer. Also, I liked that Aiden was more than the hot alpha male in the story. He sometimes was the narrator and it was great to understand what he was feeling.
Overall, it was a sweet story with hot scenes and a cute couple. Even when I wished more of the plot, I still enjoyed it and I recommend it if you want a fast and light reading.

It started strong, but overall was just a so-so read. I was drawn to it as a light & funny read, and it definitely had it's moments.
Unfortunately the author chose to avoid any real plot development or satisfying conflict resolution. When things that are "impossible" are solved with a shrug, when the villain of the piece disappears and never gets what he deserves... It just disappoints. I'd have liked to see more plot, less "oh we find each other sooooo sexy" time.
I'd recommend to someone stuck inside on a rainy day with sick kids looking for a fast and light read. (as I was today)

I completely understand that sometimes you have to write your beloved characters with a flaw that drives the story forward, but Emma's illogical "Devotion" to writing was so much so that

Pack Alpha Aidan Wallace needs to find out if paranormal romance writer Emma Gavin knows something about creatures that go bump in the night. Emma's stories land a little too close to home and it is Aidan's job to determine if she is a threat to his pack or not. Aidan doesn't expect to be attracted to Emma and he takes her out for a drink, he doesn't expect the attraction to have him thinking about crossing a line. He is alpha after all, he needs a shifter as his mate or does he?
This was great, its one of those books you pick up and savor every moment. Loved the characters in this one and it opens the book up to future books. Great read.

This was a cute paranormal romance with some nice humor and mostly likable characters (Emma goes a little goofy for one scene toward that end but). Nothing earth shattering but exactly what I was in the mood for and sometimes that counts more.

It started off good, and around the halfway point it went downhill. There isn't resolution with the villian, and the epilogue just feels like "ta-da! Jazz hands" to the other concerns.

What fun I’m having with Vicki Lewis Thompson’s paranormal books lately. I recently read and reviewed Chick with a Charm and enjoyed it a lot. Now she’s started a new series, Wild About You, and this first book is a terrific start with a delicious hero and a feisty heroine, who gets herself into trouble with her werewolf stories she writes. She has no idea how accurate her imagination is!
My favorite part of this book is Aidan. I love him. Though he starts out enjoying Emma’s books, they - and she - a’re on his and his pack’s radar because her descriptions of pack life are spot on in most instances. Because of that and because their kind have kept their existence a secret for centuries, it’s Aidan’s job to check Emma out to see how she’s getting her information. They suspect a werewolf, of course. It’s finding out who, if it’s a rogue wolf and just what the circumstances are. Thus, Aidan has learned about Emma quite intimately over the last three months and it’s time to move his investigation to the next level. His plan is to travel with her on her book tour to check out his suspicions. It’s getting the lady herself to agree that might be the difficult part of his plan.
I also like Emma a lot too. She’s very independent, strong-willed, and quite passionate when the right man comes along. Her current boyfriend is an accountant, so you can imagine how boring the sex is. So while Emma is, of course, attracted to Aidan, especially because he reads her book, besides being so good looking, she’s a woman who believes and lives doing what is right. She can’t give in to Aidan while still with the numbers man. I admire her sense of right and wrong and I love her curiosity. Once she’s “in custody” of the pack, she can’t help but ask questions about their way of life and the animals inside them and that won’t help her case with them at all. But before all of that, the time with Aidan and Emma is just plain old fun.
Aidan has a genetic flaw in that when he becomes aroused, his body goes through an involuntary shift. I had to chuckle a couple of times when this happened and the man still tells himself he feels nothing but lust for Emma, his life is mapped out for him as heir, he has no choice, and other excuses. He’s fooling only himself, though he is trying to do the right thing too, but going in that direction will bring unhappiness. I enjoy the hell out of Emma goading Aidan about his wealth and his response she shouldn’t knock it till she tries it. Their banter keeps things moving along at a nice pace.
What I want more of is the shifting. It happens only a few times, though I have to say when Aidan breaks down a door to get to Emma when she’s in danger is a terrific scene. As is the scene between Aidan and his family later in the book. He stands his ground as the heir and I love him all the more for it. I just wish there’d been more scenes in that vein, though there is a good job of his growling and other characteristics of the wolf in him in between it all. The whole wolf would have been nice, however.
All in all, I know I’m going to really like this series. I’m looking forward to Roarke’s book, Aidan’s brother. It will be enjoyable to watch him fall when his time comes.

I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet and passionate, but what set it apart was its main character, Emma. She wasn't your typical MC damsel. In nearly every contemporary/paranormal romance books I've read, when the MC is confronted with the paranormal she freaks out to an unbelievable degree. It's become one of my pet peeves. You'll have supposedly strong independent women who aren't afraid of anything, then they meet guys that they really like and eventually fall for, but when they find out that the guys are vampires or werewolves, suddenly they start screaming their heads off and looking for brooms and pitchforks. An initial scream of shock and disbelief, I understand, but when it persists and the MC is suddenly terrified of someone they've known for a while, when that person hasn't given them a reason to be afraid, bugs the hell out of me just like any mindless prejudice would. Sometimes, these books will have multiple chapters where the MC is afraid and spouting cliches that are simply old and outdated, especially, in this day and age where most movies that feature werewolves and vampires as misunderstood heroes. I usually ask myself how I'd react if I found that werewolves and vampires were real and that someone I knew, and knew to be a good person, was one of them; honestly, I'm not sure but it would be somewhere along the line of AWEEEESSOOOOOME. It is rare that I find an author who handles, what I call, THE BIG REVEAL very well. This author did, the MC had a totally rational, understandable, and frankly cool reaction. Her reaction was much more realistic in my mind of how a modern woman would react to something so unexpected. I upgraded the book an entire star for that alone. I also liked the lack of overblown drama in this book and that people weren't making mountains out of molehills and complicating things for no good reason, like a lot of books are doing these days. I felt like this book was written for and by a mature adult that understands how rational adults would behave. There was a problem, various solutions were presented to fix that problem, and the most acceptable solution was agreed on and applied, with everyone acting like adults. Now, there are authors that try to do the same thing but forget about the romance along the way. This author didn't; she made me believe that these two people were falling for each other despite all the problems that would create for them. You couldn't help but like Aidan and Emma as separate people and as a couple.

My thoughts:
Aww, the book was really sweet and cute, and with some hot passion too.
Emma spends most of her time writing, and having sex sometimes with her boring boyfriend. She is sure not living the passionate life of her heroines. And I did start to think that she needed that. Aiden Wallace is the big wolf of the story, he takes care of security for the pack and he is wealthy as sin. His future does not involve a human, but oh how attracted he is to her. Sparks are flying and he can't almost not control himself.
The book has this sweet vibe that I really enjoyed. Then there is some drama because of a stalker, and of course the whole "how do you know about weres" situation. Top that with some mind-blowing passion, because it becomes evident that these two are meant to be.
One problem, that wasn't really a problem, but still annoyed me a tad was that when she found out that everything was true (no spoiler there cos come on), she wanted to know more and to write..right, when your life could possible be in danger? I would kind of have said, ok, and then started to write about vamps ;) But then that was also good of her. Emma was strong and she did not back down.
Final thoughts and recommendation:
I do think this one becomes a 3,75 cos it was just so darn cute, and I would recommend it to paranormal romance lovers. The book is more light and humour mixed with passion, and this concept sure worked well for me. I enjoyed this tale and I would like to read more.

I was very excited about this book. I love Vicki Lewis Thompson since i read "Babe on a Broomstick" and couldn't wait to start this one. If only i had the same enthusiasm to finish it. To put it blankly i know Vicki tends to walk a fine line between sex and erotic sex. The thing is that in the books i've read is that the sex was secondary to the bigger storyline. A storyline that is often so witty and funny i can't put it down. This book seemed to have the word "sex,good looking", or similar adverbs/adjectives every other page. I get it. Both Emma and Aiden just seem very very oversexed. I felt the need to yell at them to go get a room and get it over with so i can get back with the story. Needless to say i never finish the book. I just couldn't take it anymore. So i'm putting it on my bookshelf to try it perhaps some other time.

When I first started reading this book, I was so excited. I had loved how much thought went into building Aidan’s world and Emma’s world but then the started to lose its excitement once they confronted Theo which was highly anticlimactic and too easy. And when Aidan tries to advise Emma what could happen since she now knows werewolves are real, the supposed climax of his family against her was brushed off and resolved way too easily. All conflicts in this had so much potential but then just loses its excitement. And when Aidan and Emma finally complete the mating bond, it’s a mere few paragraphs with barely any detail meanwhile it’s advised constantly that completing the mating bond is huge and life altering, but when done, lacked all passion. I was so excited to read this based off the plot and I was so heavily disappointed.

Ok- ea doarme, el se transformă în lup și nu rezistă să nu se ducă în camera ei 'să se asigure că e bine'. Total previzibil, ea se trezește și are reacția normală a cuiva care vede un lup în dormitor: urlă!
Cum l-a ajutat asta să păstreze secretul???
Altă dată se arde la degete și se grăbește în bucătărie după muștar... Purta un ceas foarte scump(800000 $?), dar nu știa că există cicatrizante eficiente?
Multe interacțiuni cam scoase din burtă și nu numai între ei doi, diverse idei ecologiste amestecate cu opulenta deschisă cu lux de amănunte.
Ea mergea inițial cu metroul, pentru economia resurselor planetei și s-a arătat scandalizata de prețul ceasului lui(și nu numai), dar în același timp purta haine și pantofi de firmă.. adică na, mie imi cam sună a ipocrizie...
Chiar am vrut să-mi placă. :(

This was a random audio pick from my library. I was in the mood for a cheesy supernatural romance. Boy, did this deliver. It was a cheesy, cute, and fast paced love story involving a writer and a rich, excuse me, "wealthy" werewolf. The characters were fun and engaging. Even though it wasn't the best written story I've ever read, I was still entertained. I enoyed it enough to try out the next in the series.

A Werewolf in Manhattan – by Vicki Lewis Thompson
This book is a very light and frothy sexcapade with a major flaw or two. Most of this book is based on the premise that a human fiction writer that writes Romances about werewolves is going to “out” real werewolves once she knows they are for real. She writes FICTION. So what human in their right mind is going to believe anything she writes is fact?
The second problem I had with this novel is that the first 65 percent was boring. The rest of the novel is filled with perfect conveniences that push what little there is of real story, to the final and inevitable conclusion.
The last 35% was a slight bit more entertaining and I wish that Ms Thompson had developed Emma’ and Aiden’s relationship with his parents and that of Nadia and her brother Theo, a bit more fully
The idea is that werewolf romance novelist Emma Gavin seems to have insider knowledge that werewolves are real and this piques the curiosity of Aiden Wallace, the someday pack leader of the ultra rich Wallace werewolf clan with tight ties to the Henderson Clan of Chicago and who conveniently enough, just happens to be a security specialist. While starting her book tour, Emma seems to have picked up a stalker; (well at least if you consider a couple of e-mails stalkerish behavior) which then give Aiden the excuse to accompany Emma on the first leg of her book tour. In where else; Chicago. I’m loathe to give away what little fun is to be found so I will just say that of course they are hugely attracted to each other, sex inevitably happens, then a very,very bad thing for Emma happens and for all intents and purposes she is sort of held hostage to the Wallace family while things get sorted out.
I cannot for the life of me, really suspend this much of my disbelief, even for this style of light romantic speculative fiction. I spent a goodly amount of time rolling my eyes so much that I darn near gave myself a migraine. In addition, if it were not for the fact that I was reading this on my Kindle I might have thrown the book against the wall.

Ich fand das Buch gut, daher 3 Sterne.
An und für sich ist die Geschichte interessant geschrieben, wenn auch absehbar.
Nichts desto trotz sind die Charaktere sympathisch und auch wenn einige Emmas Charakter kritisieren, weil sie sich über Aidans Luxusleben aufregt, gleichzeitig aber selbst Gucci Schuhe trägt, mag ich sie. Sie macht zudem eine Veränderung im Laufe des Buches durch, hört auf Aidan ständig zu kritisieren und wird toleranter.
Meine Kritikpunkte sind eher, dass manche Dinge fast ins Lächerliche gezogen werden - Aidan hat einen genetischen Defekt und verwandelt sich bei Erregung, die keine Aussicht auf Befriedigung hat. Ähm ja. Mehr muss man dazu sicher nicht sagen. Dieses Element fand ich, wie bereits gesagt, fast etwas lächerlich, wobei es natürlich auch viel Schwung in die Geschichte gebracht hat.
Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt ist, dass die Probleme, die auf 300 Seiten so immens dargestellt werden, sich auf den letzten 12 Seiten allesamt auflösen. Meines Erachtens ist das doch etwas zu schnell gegangen.
Manche Dialoge fand ich auch nicht ganz nachvollziehbar, Emma hat mir oft zu ruhig reagiert, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache, ich bin da wohl etwas "tempramentvoller" ;)
Alles in allem war es wie gesagt ein gutes Buch und ich werde mir auch den nächsten Band angucken, da mir das Konzept an sich gut gefällt und es sich locker leicht weglesen lässt.

This book had a lot of things I like. I thought the female lead was interesting and compelling, and although the male lead was an ass, he was the kind of ass that’s good looking and has everything else you could want and makes you think “I can fix him :)” — a perfectly fine fantasy for a romance novel! We’ve all been there with a guy.
Unfortunately, I just found it really repetitive. It feels like there’s not enough time spent on making the characters interesting, and too much on re-establishing things explained in previous scenes. I know that Werewolf Man thinks Writer Woman is sexy, but he can’t be with her: he’s said it five billion times! I want to see more of their emotional connection, not just a physical one. It’s totally believable that they want to bang, but less that he wants to have a family and settle down and live a peaceful life with her at his side.
This is a more minor complaint, but it’s also something that really annoyed me. There’s also a scene where the woman protagonist has a cake smashed into her chest and everyone thinks it’s super sexy. This is a dumb complaint, but it totally ruined my immersion. I have never been cutting it close on making it to an important meeting and thought “damn, it’s so hot that I spilled breakfast on myself!”
Unfortunately, I just found it really repetitive. Just finished this lovely read. I switched back and forth between listening to the audiobook and reading on my kindle. Clearly I wanted to finish the story.

Aidan was a fan of her books before he was assigned to tail her. In all the were romances i have read the alpha males are drawn to their scent. no difference here. They travel to chicago where he acts as a bodyguard b/c she is getting unwanted attention from a real life were.
A common plot element is put the H/h on a journey together and make them share lodging. So they have that going for them.
A bump in the night and a the unwanted attention seeker (theo) emerges causing Aidan to appear to defend her and the wolf is out of the bag. Were's exsist. Super problem for the family secrecy issues. the last 15% of the book is Aidan debating to mate with Emma and the consequences there in.

Emma Gavin is a successful writer who happens to have a very active imagination. That imagination has made her writing career a huge success however it is also about to land her in a bit of trouble. Aiden Wallace is heir apparent to his family's pack and has been assigned to keeping tags on Emma as her 'works of fiction' seem to bear a almost to strong a resemblance to real Werewolves and his family. Aiden's job is to find out if Emma has a informant or if she really is coming up with the guidelines for her stories on her own. All of this might go easier if 1) Emma wasn't quite so smart 2) she wasn't getting e-mails from another werewolf who is ready to blow there cover and show Emma that they really exist and 3) if Aiden could just keep his hands to himself and concentrate on his mission instead of Emma's body and scent.
Wonderful book! My only complaint it that Emma can be a little to single minded at point but other than that it was wonderful! 5 stars in all!

DNF @ 69%
It took me a long long time to decide to DNF this, even when I had been sure for a while that I didn't really like it.
There's way too much insta-love, and I didn't really like any of the characters. The MC is all "I am eco-conscious and I hate wealthy people" but then goes ahead and happily accepts everything the very rich werewolf gives her.
And the guy... I'll say one thing: I was happy to see a different (and maybe a more accurate?) representation of what wealth looks like. We keep getting all these uber-rich guys in books and they ALL act like the guy next door. This one acts like a jerk, not because he's actually a jerk but because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he has always taken money for granted. It's great! And at the same time it's not because I disliked his attitude so much.
Anyway I think this is one of the few chit lit/PNR I've ever DNF but you know how it is: Life is too short to keep reading stuff you don't really like.

DNR at 31%. There are some major flaws to this book. 1- I'm sorry, but constantly prattling on about how attracted they are to each other does not equate to sexual tension. At 31% this book has gotten nowhere because most of the book this far is inner dialogue about how hot the other person is. 2- every hunky guy you meet has read your werewolf romance novels? I think not. 3- Aiden's "unique" condition is ridiculous.
