Meeting Glenn wasn't exactly on my to do list when I went to visit my best friend in Texas, but that's the funny thing about life. Everything happens when you least expect it. Our love was fast and hard, but it was everything I could've asked for.
Life was picture perfect as I started college and my new married life with Glenn, but sometimes all good things have to come to an end, or so they say. I wasn't willing to let our marriage short out and fizzle the way my parents' had. I was willing to fight every obstacle that came our way, and there were plenty. But was he?
Sometimes you have to find the courage to stand and fight, but what if you're left fighting alone?

We LOVE the Raine Series and couldn't wait to get our hands on Cami and Glenn's story. The Raine Series is an emotional gut wrenching series with delicious male leads and strong independent heroines. Amanda Bennett always hooks you within the first few chapters of a book, leaving you to question where she is going; just when you have your theories she throws you off course. We don't want to say too much about this book as we want to avoid spoilers. We will say that if you have loved the first three books in this series you won't be disappointed...
This Courage of mine takes place 12months after This Heart of Mine.Cami has graduated, moved back to Texas and married Glenn. A year has now gone by and it's Cami and Glenn's one year anniversary. Married life hasn't been the easiest with Glenn always away. His band has taken off, life on the road isn't easy. Arriving back home and acting strange is leaving Cami to wonder what is he hiding?
Having two weeks together with the band on a break before the second leg of their tour starts they talk about their future and kids. Being part of Mia's life has changed their opinions on wanting to be parents. When Glenn is called on tour early Cami is pissed that the band is ruling their lives, so much that she doesn't know what she wants anymore. Not just about work or the possibility of going back to school but she is left questioning her marriage. Bridges have been burnt with her mother and brother, feeling lost at the moment she can't talk to her family. Trying to extend the olive branch with her brother and get some advice, she is surprised and hurt that no effort was put in on his behalf. After talking to her mum, Cami learns shes coming for a visit. "The devil", as Kayla calls her is on her way.
"She can barely stand me, why on earth would she want to see the spawn of me? I swear Cam, I have tried to like your mom, I really have, but why does she have to be such a bitch"
Glenn's time home is cut short, heading back on tour is never easy knowing he is leaving Cami behind is hard, with her mixed emotions it leaves him questioning life on the road.
Glenn and Cami have a lot of decisions to make, they love each other fierce and together they are a strong unit. With so many life changes decisions to make it will either make or break them?
Kristy - I LOVED the cockiness and banter between the boys, Glenn, Madison and Joey had me laughing out loud at times. But the comments made between Kayla and Olivia (Cami's Mum) were classic. I loved every minute if this gut wrenchingly beautiful story of two young people in love adjusting to life as a married couple.
Kayla- Kristy took the words out of my mouth! The banter in this book is priceless! One minute I was laughing the next I was crying. Every emotion in this book is relatable to every day people. One thing Amanda does well is deliver a book that keeps you captivated. Bring on the next book in this series I cannot wait.
That ending :-0 ... We can't wait for the next instalment!
I was gutted when the book 3 of the raine series ended as I thought we were done with Kayla and Maddison. So imagine how I felt when I saw book 4, now this isnt about Kayla and Maddison but about Cami and Glenn, when we left them they had just got married, its now 1 year on. The band is making it big and there is a new baby ( kayla's and Maddison). Life is not all sunshine and roses for Cami and Glenn, they want a baby but how is that possible when you husband is always on tour. Cami feels like she is always arguing and Glenn can never do anything right. All that is put into perspective when tragedy strikes. What is the definition of true love.
I loved this book from start to finish and even happier knowing this is not the end.
