I’ve spent my life chasing stories and mysteries, as well as running from love. I’ve also come face-to-face with evil before. Felt its breath on my skin and survived.
But nothing could prepare me for that one day when my life changed. Impossible choices and unbearable sacrifices were made, and evil still won.
The darkness we’d been hunting stole the only man I’d ever run to instead of from, and I’ll do everything in my power to bring Oliver back to our team. To me.
When I finally track him down—and fall quite literally into his arms—the tension, the passion, and the desire are still there and stronger than ever. And so is our stubbornness.
No matter how much he tries to resist his feelings . . . our connection is undeniable. I won’t give up on him, just like he never gave up on me.
And as secrets are revealed and suppressed memories are unearthed, we’re brought full circle and thrown into the biggest fight of our lives.
This is our story—one of love, survival, and never giving up. —Mya Vanzetti
From Wall Street Journal and Amazon Charts bestselling author Brittney Sahin comes the conclusion to the Falcon Falls Security Series. This second-chance romantic suspense features a protective hero and the determined woman who brings him back to life.
Although The Wrecked One is a standalone with a happily-ever-after, it is highly recommended it be read after The Fallen One, as it completes an overarching story arc.
Brittney Sahin began writing at an early age, with the dream to be a published author before the age of 18. Although academic pursuits (and, later, a teaching career) interrupted her aspirations, she never stopped writing—never stopped imagining.
It wasn’t until her students encouraged her to follow her dreams that Brittney said goodbye to Upstate New York in order to start a new adventure in the place she was raised: Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she decided to take her students’ advice and begin to write again.
In 2015, she published her first novel, The Safe Bet. When she is not working on upcoming novels, she spends time with her family. She is a proud mother of two boys and a lover of suspense novels, coffee, and the outdoors.
Holy cow Brittney! This is one of the best books you have written!!! It might even be my new favorite, (lol) despite the fact that you broke my heart into a millions pieces in this book a couple times and beautifully put it back together all while having ALL my favs together again. Mya and Oliver’s story is a MUST read and it’s the best way to end the Falcon Falls series! Such a bittersweet moment to close this book and say goodbye for now to all these characters that I have grown to love so much. It may take me awhile to get over this heartbreak and book hangover from this book!
A more formal review to come....
The Wrecked One is the last book in the Falcon Falls Security series written by Brittney Sahin. It’s the second chance romantic suspense love story of Oliver Lucas and Mya Vanzetti. Falcons Falls Security started when Gray and Carter were “fighting” on who gets to hire Oliver on their team and it’s only fitting that the series ends with Oliver. And Mya has made cameos in multiple books in Brittney’s backlist and it’s only fitting that she finally gets her happily ever after and gets to do what she loves while fighting and saving the ones she loves. Everything in TWO comes full circle in the most gratifying and an emotional roller coaster ride kind of way while some twists and surprises along the way. While it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend you reading The Fallen One first since the overarching story is completed in this book. If you have the time, I recommend you read the whole series in order starting with The Hunted One. This will ensure that you are able to appreciate the series, be familiar with all the characters, and understand what the team has been faced with over the years.
Oliver and Mya’s relationship has always been sarcastically playful with charged tension between them- causing a slow and steamy burn that they never acted upon until recently. Now that they have, there is no turning back for these two until the unthinkable happens to them both- facing things they buried in the past. While their relationship is tried and pushed to the test in the book, you see them for who they are individually and together as team and partners. Both feel broken and absolutely wrecked after what they experienced and it’s only through love and their determination to end all things evil that allows them to break down their walls so they can move forward in healing together.
There is so much that I want to say about this book, but it would ultimately spoil the book so let me just say that this is probably one of the BEST books Brittney Sahin has written and it’s my new favorite. It’s always a bittersweet moment when you turn the last page of the last book in the series and I can’t believe that we have to say goodbye to this crew that I have grown to love so much. The extra chapter in the end of the book makes me so excited for what’s to come in the future!! Brittney really is the queen of epic teasers!
If you were on the fence about buying and reading this book, this is your sign to take the plunge and do it! I promise you won’t regret it! The Wrecked One is available on Amazon, KU, and at Barnes and Noble so go out and buy all the copies today!
I found myself slowing down as I came into the later chapters; I did not want this book or the series to end. I have come to love this team, and I believe this is Ms. Sahin’s best book to date. While this book stands alone, the author recommends reading The Fallen One first. After reading, I agree with the author.
Oliver is no stranger to us; we have known him through many of the Stealth Ops and now Falcon Falls Security. His character is written with intensity in all that he does in his job and life. Mya has gotten under his skin and into his heart. While these two mix like oil and water, the line between love and hate begins to blur. As Mya becomes a target, can he protect her?
This review is a bit bittersweet, as I am sorry to see the Falcon series end. I am now anxious to see where Ms. Sahin will take us next. I do know that this is not the last of these characters, as they will visit us in future books.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
This is probably my favorite of all of Sahin's books. I felt like I was waiting for Oliver's story forever and it did not disappoint. This was action packed and emotional. It brought all the feels and all the characters together! Fantastic!
This book was everything I wanted and so much more than I expected. I had HIGH expectations for the final book in the Falcon Falls Series and was still overwhelmed by how much I loved it.
It wrecked me in the first few chapters and slowly put me back together with small actions and smiles throughout the rest of the story. Mya Vanzetti and Oliver Lucas belong together. It took a while to get here, especially if you've been waiting for Mya since My Every Breath, but their HEA is solidified in a big way. The walls finally come down, down, down...
I won't talk too much about the plot because of spoilers, but Brittney Sahin has outdone herself with this one. It is action-packed and the cameos from other characters added an additional appreciation for how masterfully this story is written.
I can tell you that my heart hasn't ached this much from a book since I read The Broken One. If you know me, you know that The Broken One and Chasing the Knight are two of my favorite reads of all time. No one was more surprised than me when The Wrecked One became my new favorite. I was on vacation when I got this ARC and kept sneaking away to read it. I could not put it down and I am still floored days later by the wealth of emotion that I am feeling for these characters. Oliver & Mya will live in my heart forever.
This book is endlessly quotable and there is not enough available space for me to gush about it like I want to without writing a novel.
I am so sad to see Falcon Falls come to an end, but I am beyond excited for what is next. The possible setups in this book for multiple new series have me all aflutter. In the meantime, I am going to get ready for the next book in the Costa Family (Hello, Alessandro!)
Side note: Mason, Mason, Mason! I NEED IT...
I highly recommend The Falcon Falls Series and all of Brittney's other books.
This story has been building for so long and the wait is finally over for Oliver & Mya!
**HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ THE SERIES FIRST OR AT LEAST, Carter's story**
Brittney S. absolutely outdid herself yet again with this one. The Wrecked One is her best book to date. She has filled the pages with mystery, impossible situations, a stunning show of emotion, strong characters that grow through them, sassy women, dream worthy alpha men, and holy hotness the steam! I never wanted this book to end. Oliver and Mya find themselves dealing with some pretty heavy issues in the midst of being in hiding and on the run while The Falcon Falls team go head to head against "The Collective". Sahine takes you on a roller-coaster of laughter, squeals of excitement, hugging the edge of your seat excitement, and maybe a few tears. What a beautiful way to end a stellar series.
I’ve been holding off to read this book since I didn’t like the MMC of the previous book in the series. Well! I’ve made a lot of good decisions in my life, but this was not one of them 🤦🏻♀️
I absolutely adored this book 😍😍😍 Mya, was not an MFC that I genuinely liked when mentioned in previous books because she was always toying with Oliver’s (MMC) feelings since she had a “friends-with-benefits” fuck buddy in those. And Oliver was a golden retriever MMC who made it his mission to make her life hell when actually everybody knew that he was head over heels for her.
Their hookup was so sudden because in previous books they were always fighting, yet the last book ended with these two hooking up in a laundry room, and this book started when their relationship is a given 🤔 Guess Brittany Sahin didn’t want to waste time in the specifics but to be honest in this case I couldn’t care less because what came after was 🤯
This book is my second favourite of the series (after The Broken One - Ella and Jesse’s story).
If there is something that you don’t miss in Brittany Sahin’s books is lots and lots of action. To the extent that I was constantly gripping the edge of my seat and thinking 💭 I am only 30% through? What else is still to happen 😦💭 Nothing brings two broken souls together than drama, misfortunes and danger. This book has that and then some.
Brittany Sahin never seizes to amaze me with her intricate elaborate and devious scheming plots. Her books are so rich that I literally feel I am watching an action movie.
Oliver and Mya’s relationship was everything! There’s a First Act breakup rather than a Third one. Their colleagues (found family) are a dream. Their character development and overcoming their fears and their twisted pasts were a plot on their own. And then that bomb at the end of the book like WTF!! But I was so happy that Mya finally found her missing puzzle piece that she’s been looking for her entire life.
But then Brittany had to ruin it with her loosely liberal choices of hookups! 🙄 if not for this last mic drop 🎤 then I would have gladly given this book a 5 star rating.

• Thoughts: I can't believe this series is coming to an end! This book catches you right in the feels!! We see sides to Oliver and Mya that I was not prepared for, but also reflecting back, I am not surprised either. I know so cryptic. Hahaha. Brittney, girl!!! I am seriously in aww after what 30 books you storylines and your twist and turns and ability to tell. This epic stories are just incredible. I have always been sucked into her books. The Wrecked One was no different. I had to adult, and I was not happy, or otherwise I probably would have had it finished in a day... easily! I really enjoyed Oliver and Mya's story! I am not gonna lie. I was a smidge nervous mainly because of the back and forth between these two since we knew them. I wanted the absolute best for Oliver, and he got that in Mya!!! What a way to wrap up this series!
Oh, my heart - the best was saved for last! Utter perfection
This book had everything: angst, heartache, suspense, twists, but most importantly, love and romance.
Mya-Freaking-Van... I've been waiting for Mya's HEA for a long time and loved her story arc. The surprises for her in the story, wow! Oliver, our golden retriever hero, well, you will just need to read and find out.
This was the last book in the series and should probably be read as such.
I’m struggling to write this review. I think I’m in denial the series is over. Some of my favorite stories and characters come from Falcon Falls Security.
I believe the previous books in the series are labeled as interconnected standalones, but I think they need to be read in order to get the complete experience. That said, The Wrecked One is NOT a standalone. You need to read The Fallen One. I think it’d be beneficial to read these final two back-to-back. Don’t wait between books.
Okay. Here we go.
The Wrecked One jumps right into the thick of things. There is no build up here because we went through it in the last book. The groundwork between Mya and Oliver as well as with The Collective has already been laid.
We’ve experienced the interactions between the couple for five books at this point. While I wouldn’t call them enemies, they definitely had a distaste for each other. At least outwardly. So we know the characters. We’ve gotten pretty significant glimpses of their backstories.
I’ve read this series before. Twice, in fact. And I still wish I’d done another reread before The Wrecked One. I should’ve reacquainted myself with them so I could feel more attached. Took a minute for me to get there. But I did get there.
I didn’t believe Oliver was quite as wrecked as he was supposed to be. Or I just didn’t feel it quite like I wanted to. I wanted to feel gutted (like I did with The Broken One), but mostly I wasn’t. To me, it was almost like he was just trying to be miserable because he thought he was supposed to be. This is the reason it wasn’t a 5-star read for me.
This book was more about the mission and less about the romance. Definitely not as spicy as many of her others. I didn’t mind that. Although they are together in the beginning, circumstances separate them. Then it almost turns into a slow burn as they work through their traumas together.
I love Mya and Oliver together. Their flirtatious jabs are so fun. I might’ve done some giggling aloud.
I loved the ending. Tying up the stories of Falcon Falls, but clearly leaving it open for future books. I loved all the full circle moments and hat tips to earlier books/characters. The team came together because of Oliver, and his story wrapped up the series. The bonus scene at the end…BRING IT ON!!!
***Spoiler*** I wish the scene in Thailand when they’re both being held captive would’ve been grittier. I wish Brittney would’ve toed that line a bit more. I totally understand that many authors don’t write that way, and many readers don’t like reading such graphic and triggering content. But for me, it would’ve made their grief and trauma more believable. I realize that’s a me problem.
“Mya’s kisses used to wreck me in the best possible way. Nothing had ever been able to match how skydiving made me feel until her. Until Mya and I kissed, and the feeling being with her gave me became incomparable to anything in my past.”
BRITTNEY ANOTHER SERIES DOWN AND WHAT AN AMAZING WAY TO END IT 🥹Page one we hit the ground running and it didn’t let up! The entire book from start to finish was brilliant. The way you wrapped up the entire series by weaving in every single series you’ve written before that?!? BRILLIANT! I can’t say enough about how brilliantly written Mya and Oliver were. Their journey was so different and I loved every single interaction they had. Also starting the book with some smutty chapters never fails to make me happy 🥰
THE TEASERS FOR NEW SERIES TO COME 😍 Savannah’s pen name ☠️ the update on Carter and Dianna that you dropped 🤭 NAMING OUR FIRST CHARLIE CHARACTER 😍 seriously so excited for all the amazing things you’re going to do next, and I can’t wait to be there for every single book!!
“You brought me back to life in Canada when you showed up in the woods that day. And no matter how much I’ve tried to fight it . . . I’ve been awake ever since.” He captured my cheeks between his palms. “I fell for you a long time ago, and I’ve been falling ever since.” He went quiet for a beat before saying those three words I craved. “I love you.” He brushed his smile against my lips, urging one to light up my face as well. “You didn’t give up on me, and I promise to never again give up on us.”
What a thrill ride. Mya and Oliver's story is the last book in the Falcon Falls Series and it does not disappoint. You will feel every emotion in this book. Theirs is a story of love, forgiveness and healing. One decision almost breaks them. Only the strength of their love can heal them. Fall in love all over again with characters from past books. Grab your tissues, drink of choice and buckle up for a thrill ride of emotions, angst, and plot twists that will have your head spinning. This is my favorite book of the series and Brittney Sahin knocked it out of the park with this one, I highly recommend this book and the whole series. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars
I'm so sad to see this series end, but what a way to go. I have been looking forward to Oliver & Mya's story for such a long time & it did not disappoint at all. This book has everything: lots of romance, tons of danger, plenty of action, emotional turmoil, mystery, and suspense. Poor Oliver & Mya really had to work for their HEA, but what a journey it was.
Just when I think Brittney can't possibly get any better, she goes & proves me wrong. Be prepared to want to read this book over & over it is that good. It was great having all of the character crossovers in this book & I loved the Easter egg hints regarding future books, hopefully.
Oliver and Mya!!! These 2 have my heart now. The book is so well written and is a must read!!! I love all of the Falcon Fall series and trust if you read any you will be hooked on Brittney Sahin.
**Some great bits peppered into the same ol' formula**
What can I say? When you've read one entry in a Brittney Sahin series, you've essentially read them all. Everyone's ridiculously hot and obsessed with objectifying one another as sources of sexual pleasure and equating that to love. The men are all growly, overprotective alphas. The women are needlessly stubborn and endanger themselves to be saved, be it purposeful or accidental. Everyone always lives happily ever after. Everyone gets married and has babies. If there's one thing Sahin consistently does, it's sticking to the formula.
I'm not saying this like it's a bad thing. Not really. After all, if a formula works, best to stick with it. I mean look at even me. I'm the one who keeps coming back for more, even when I KNOW most of these stories end up reading the same way more often than not. There's always that part of me that loves stories like these. But there's that dang other part of me that has been too much exposed to and spoiled by other authors who dare to touch on more difficult subject matter that more pluck, strum, or downright mangle my heart strings.
This particularly entry most definitely had its several emotional, dark, and disturbing moments, many of them potentially triggering. I give it props for that, strange as that may be to admit. I just like gritty, raw, and real. But those moments were essentially few and far between all the OTHER moments that were just more of the same stuff that I've already been heavily exposed to in past entries and even from other authors. It's lots of same ol' same ol'. However, I do think this entry had some fanTASTIC revelations in the latter third of the book that no doubt will suck me back in.
At any rate, as is my typical stance for Brittney Sahin, I love her ability to tell stories and create characters (despite stuffing way too many in each entry); I just wish she'd break the mold a bit more and try something wildly different. Spread her wings. But alas, that's just my own issue, something I can rectify (and have rectified) by exploring works of other authors, I guess. Brittney will continue to just be the author I'll revisit for nostalgia's sake, but not for the sake of blowing me away with the deep, thought-provoking storytelling I've come to prefer and love.
The Wrecked One is the last book in The Falcon Falls Series. Talk about going out with a BANG! Every book in this series just keeps getting better and better. You should read The Fallen One as it sets the stage for this book. Mya and Oliver are the perfect love to hate you duo. He’s wrecked, a man struggling with the choice he had to make and she the strong, stubborn woman who refuses to give up on him. My emotions ran the gamut from wanting to cry for Oliver, wanting to smack him then cheering him on. In Brittney style expect lots of action, suspense and plot twists, with a conclusion I never saw coming. And talk about some hot chemistry between the 2MCs. Wow just Wow!! This is a MUST READ
This story ... this story ... THIS STORY!!!! Brittney Sahin did a fabulous job of fully developing the MMC and FMC of this book (Imma say it: of all her books). Oliver was brought to us in other works, as was Mya, and the cliffhanger that we were left with after The Fallen One left me with over-the-top desire for this story despite not wanting to read it because it would mean that Falcon Falls Series was at an end.
There is so much to say about this book, but if I say what I truly want to then I would be giving you spoiler after spoiler after spoiler. For now, I'll state that Brittney did a fantastic job at bringing the steamy hot sensual/sexual tension between the MMC and FMC. In fact, it was built into their story from a few books back. That said, Brittney also did a brilliant (did I say brilliant? I meant BRILLIANT!) job of developing Oliver's emotional his/story. The trauma that he and Mya experienced was a tool that Brittney used to push Oliver over the emotional edge of wreckedness while equally creating a way back from the abyss. Some beautiful freaking writing!
One approach that I super duper appreciated in this story was the emotional awareness and vulnerability that not only Oliver but all of Brittney's male characters were written with. While strong military alphaholes, each male character suspended toxic masculinity for the opportunity to grow and love their partners (and ultimately children (for other characters)). Specifically, Oliver and the other men's ability to cry and share that intimacy with one another, with their partners, with their colleagues, I'm here for it all day and all night. And the emotional break that Oliver experienced that helped him move the needle (or lower his limo window thingy) (Chapter 37) had me sobbing ... I was literally sobbing!!!
And I'm here to say that this book was not only a culmination of the Falcon Falls Security story (booooo!), but Brittney brought us back to her origins with a litany of her amazing characters built throughout her military/rom/nov world. Again ... HERE FOR IT!!! The Easter Eggs she planted throughout ... Brittney, you had me at "Holy shit, Mya..." And also, that pen name, yes please!!! Gurl~
The Wrecked One is book 8 and the final book in Brittney Sahin’s Falcon Falls Security series about an elite security team that undertake operations that no one else would want or be qualified to do. The Fallen One, Sahin’s previous book gives you an introduction into the storyline of The Wrecked One so you would have a more comprehensive understanding of the background of The Wrecked One (TWO) if you read that first and I would recommend you do so but Sahin covers all salient points thoroughly in TWO so I have no hesitation in saying TWO can be read as a stand alone.
In an attempt to track down a group known only as ‘The Collective’, Oliver Lucas and Mya Vanzetti, members of Falcon Falls Security, work under cover as a reporting team. Hoping to discover members of this elusive group, the pair (assisted by an anonymous hacker) follow leads wherever they steer them. Though Lucas and Vanzetti have been involved in a relationship of sorts prior to the mission, due to insecurities they both harbour they have been keeping it on the down low and agree for the sake of the mission to pause their affair.
Drawn to Thailand on the strength of an anonymous tip the pair are captured leading Lucas to take action that weighs so heavily on him that he decides to isolate himself from his fellow operatives and from the one woman that could save his soul.
The operatives of Falcon Falls face the fight of their lives to defeat The Collective and save the integrity of humanity. Heart wrenching secrets and painful memories need to be faced but will they lead to the truth or tear the group apart?

**There is a content warning for sexual assault and I would advise you that chapters 4+5 are a very difficult read however I didn’t find it gratuitous. It is a fundamental part of the story and Ms Sahin writes these scenes in a sympathetic manner **
THIS BOOK!! I loved everything about it. Ms Sahin’s ability to keep the story running at pace whilst keeping all her ducks in a row is outstanding. Every event/action/ comment is explained and concluded by the end of the book (apart from a couple of teasers where identities/ explanations are left purposefully vague for future books). There’s not a redundant page in there. Sahin has an uncanny ability to write relatable, flawed, yet rounded characters with real life issues - doubt, jealousy, anger. The relationships aren’t saccharine sweet and the characters butt heads whilst being drawn together in a believable manner. She also manages to write ‘baddies’ expertly, making them detestable without going over the top. Sometimes it’s more what she insinuates rather than what she writes.
There is of course sexual content in this book but it is respectfully related and not gratuitous. There is a large part of the book where the main characters aren’t being physically active together and Ms Sahin concentrates on the overarching story. It makes it more realistic as in the book they are both going through emotional turmoil so it would have been strange if they were connecting like that whilst struggling with their own issues. She keeps the emotional tension between them burning however so none of it feels like she was just adding sex just for titivation.
Mya and Oliver (main character’s) have appeared in previous books and Sahin has slowly but expertly woven their slow burn through previous books, leading them gently but perfectly towards their own HEA. I loved that Brittney was able to bring character cameos from all her previous series into this book bringing it full circle and it was lovely to see old favourites. Some of the cameos come from books early on in her writing career and it’s interesting to find out more about their stories. I particularly loved the character of ‘Sam’ in this book. A character we hadn’t met in previous books but one that is fundamental to Oliver’s back story. It’s a shame he already has his own HEA as it would have been nice to see a more mature character getting a story. There are also references to amusing scenes in previous books e.g. forks & leaves…IYKYK but it doesn’t matter if you haven’t read them, it doesn’t detract from this story at all. This book is a tale of secrets, deceit, redemption, forgiveness and acceptance & of course ultimately defeating the utterly vile baddies!
Ms Sahin has written in excess of 30 books yet her stories are never stale and she relentlessly comes up with novel, interesting ideas for each new release. If you enjoy real, gritty military romance or romantic suspense then Sahin’s the author for you! She always includes a playlist at the end of the books which adds another interesting dimension. There is also a cast list included at the end of the book so if you think you recognise a character, you can find the previous books they’ve appeared in and their relationship to other characters. All these things add up to make a really thorough and immersive reading experience. I genuinely cannot comprehend where she gets her ideas and am constantly in awe of her ability to write such sophisticated, complex yet comprehensive stories that are so utterly compelling. I cannot recommend this book or this author enough. Get your tissues ready, take a deep breath and dive in!
An incredible story of love, overcoming adversity and loyalty
Britney Sahin's The Wrecked One is an incredible conclusion to a series filled with mysteries, intrigue, love, friendship, and loyalty. The climax was spectacular, tying together various plot threads and character arcs in a way that left me thoroughly satisfied and emotionally moved.
I loved how Sahin connected the characters and portrayed their vulnerability and resilience in the face of adversity. These characters are not just figures in a story; they are deeply relatable and memorable, and I found myself deeply invested in their journeys.
One of the most commendable aspects of The Wrecked One is Sahin's ability to subtly weave real-life social and political issues into the narrative. These elements added depth to the story without overshadowing the characters or the primary plot. The integration was subtle yet powerful, enriching the reading experience and providing thought-provoking commentary on contemporary issues.
As the series concludes, I feel a bittersweet sadness in saying goodbye to these characters whose journeys have been inspiring and entertaining. Despite each book ending with a happily ever after, the depth and authenticity of the characters make me yearn for more.
Britney Sahin has crafted a series that is not only entertaining but also profoundly moving and thought-provoking. The Wrecked One is a fitting finale that left me both satisfied and longing for more.
Whenever I read a new Brittney release I fly through the book because they are always so good I don’t even notice the sleep I lose reading late into the night. And then when I’m done I have to take a day or two to recover. Because the book hangover is very very real. This book was no different with a little extra sadness thrown in there since this one was the last book in the Falcon Falls series.
I want to give this book an infinity of stars or thumbs ups or whatever rating system is out there. We all knew that Oliver and Mya would eventually get over themselves and then under each other. But we didn’t know the very treacherous road it would take them to get there.
This book had me sobbing, the ugly kind. The pain Oliver and Mya have gone through in their lives is heartbreaking but the way they have both kept fighting was amazing. Their HEA was definitely hard won.
This book has everything we love from a Brittney Sahin book. The edge-of-your-seat suspense, action, banter, laughter and tears. And of course the spice be spicing! There was a few plot twists I didn’t see coming and of course the way Brittney has the amazing ability to intertwine characters from other books and their connections to current books once again blew my mind.
This book was incredible and the perfect ending to this series. With just enough hints at more to come.
The Wrecked One is the final book to the Falcon Falls Series and is the perfect ending! This series is fantastic with each book building the story plot of who the characters are and their relationship to each other. I recommend reading them in order. Throughout the series you see Oliver and Mya begin to build a love/hate complicated work relationship/friendship. At the start of the series you aren’t sure if they will end up together. The Wrecked One begins with a bang and Oliver and Mya are forced to face a trauma that has the reader on an emotional roller coaster (wrecked). Suddenly dynamics are changed between the two, forever changing them. Mya suddenly realizes what matters to her and takes a hard look at what she has been running from. She has to become the fighter for their relationship helping Oliver to realize she isn’t giving him up and they are worth fighter for. Wonderful new characters are introduced as well as the beloved members of the Falcon Falls Security Team. Together they face the battle of The Collective. This story is so well written you are able to feel every emotion along with the characters. As a fan of Brittney’s work this story delivers the expected suspense, humor, details, action, romance and spice. What I loved about this story were the unexpected twists and turns, the reunion of past characters, the hard earned HEA and vulnerability exposed. Although the story is a romance, it is such a fresh story line. Oliver and Mya’s characters grow from superficial to such depth and take you the reader along for the ride. What a perfect ending to the Falcon Falls World! If you are not a fan you will be by the end of this series and especially this book. Enjoy!
All of Brittney’s book series are fantastic but with the Falcon Falls Series I really think she has surpassed even herself with the depth of these characters, the cinematic scenes so beautifully described in the prose and the intrigue and adventure in the plot lines.
This book had me laughing and crying; broke my heart in some chapters and had it racing in others. It had me on the edge of my seat, with literal chills, my mind reeling and utterly riveted with the surprising plot twists and turns - before cleverly bringing everything full circle, tying everything up so beautifully for the end of this series, leaving me both with the warm fuzzies and clapping my hands with excitement for what might be coming next.
Both Oliver & Mya’s stories - in the present as the story unfolds, and their pasts that we learn about throughout the book - are at times gut-wrenching but their relationship and the banter between them is adorable. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Oliver, broken hero that he is and to respect Mya’s strength, determination and resilience.
Brittney’s storytelling, as always, is thrilling, compelling and heart-wrenching but laced with comfort humour, winning cameos from her other beloved characters and entertaining little nods to the previous books that never fail to raise a smile.
I can’t wait to re-read in audio when it’s released in August!
All good things must come to an end and this series has wrapped in the most intense and perfect way. “The Wrecked One” is a thrilling, action packed and emotional second chance romance that gave me all the emotions as Oliver and Mya found their way back to each other.
Oliver and Mya have been working together with Falcon Falls and have fallen hard for each other. Their job is dangerous but they can’t stay away from each other until one mission changes everything. It brings back memories for OIiver that he can’t shake and deems himself not worthy enough for Mya and disappears. But Mya is not ready to give up on him and their relationship. Even with some of the worst of the worst coming after them, Mya refuses to let the darkness take down Oliver and their future.
The way this book started pulled me in and never let me go. I wanted to rush through it and savor it all at the same time. Oliver and Mya have an undeniable chemistry from the beginning and it only grew as everything happened. Oliver’s past and what he went through broke my heart and I totally sympathized with him when he had fallen into his darkness. And despite it all, Mya never quit on him even if he wanted to quit on himself. Mya has so much strength and it only grew stronger as she discovered some family secrets that were shocking and had my jaw dropping. As I read, I kept thinking how these two were two puzzle pieces that had been missing from each other’s lives and when they were together, they fit together perfectly. Brittney Sahin’s attention to detail is unmatched when it comes to writing. You can tell she researches everything to make sure everything is as accurate as possible. The ending was perfect and I’m going to be counting down the days until Brittney Sahin’s next series.
The Wrecked one is the final book in the Falcon Falls series and brings us Oliver and Mya’s story.
Brittney’s ability to craft a story so full of intrigue, action, humor, and emotion is unparalleled. Just when I think she can’t top herself, she does. From the day we met Carter, he had been my favorite character. I truly never thought any other character would outrank him, and then she gives us Oliver. I also truly appreciate that every female main character in her books is a strong, independent bad ass. Mya is no exception.
This book grabs you from the start and never lets you go. It is jam packed with action and adventure. It is intense. It is probably the most intense book Brittney has written, and that’s saying something because all of her books are intense. The attention to detail in the conflicts she crafts and the world she builds is unmatched. Reading this had my heart rate elevated more than once, and not just from the spicy scenes.
This book is bittersweet. I hate to see the series end, but I can’t wait for what comes next. I truly enjoyed and appreciated all the Easter eggs in this book as well. Being able to revisit so many past characters was a treat. I can’t wait to see where Brittney takes us next.
What a fitting finale to the Falcon Falls series that delivers everything. Hang on to your baseball caps for this one as Brittney Sahin delivers a mighty punch with The Wrecked One. It will emotionally wreck you before building you back up piece up piece, it’s complex, gripping and addictive and Mya and Oliver are meant to be together but of course nothing is that simple and straightforward! Action packed, raw, funny in parts and oh so many cameo’s - be still my beating heart. It’s hard to pick a favourite quote but I think “…you just never know when a plot twist might happen. Maybe their story will change. And if it doesn’t, then it wasn’t meant to be” sums up everything nicely. I loved this much like I love all the others but this was special. Sad Falcon Falls is over yes but when you think about it new things are coming so it’s really just the end of another chapter rather than a finale. Thank you for writing just a brilliant book and I am definitely ready for what comes next…please!
Let me tell you that I just finished. Took me almost 20oddish hours to finish and now I want to cry.
Holy fucking hell IT WAS AWESOME!!!
That beginning although tough was JUST what I wanted!!!
I thought Oliver was gonna be fucked up over Dubai, and that Mya was gonna run away at every turn but holy shit you really tool them in a whole other direction and 🫠 Words alude me.
They are not expressive enough to accurately describe how happy certain scenes made me, having the all our previous boys make cameos, this new hacker, the way the series ended but it was only the beginning for characters like Gwen, Easton, Mason!! Hell, Jude’s hot and I don’t even know him yet 😂😂😂
Honestly, I loved Carter’s book, and my all time favorite book husband/lover/and-everything-inbetween is AJ, but damn if Oliver isn’t just THAT special.
I love books that make me feel and make me think and this was one of those books. This book was perfect and I need moreeeee!!! 🤍
What can I say? Brittney never misses. The Wrecked One perfectly concludes the Falcon Falls series. I still can’t believe the end is here.
Oliver and Mya were a long time coming. What I love about Brittney’s writing is she keeps you guessing. We actually weren’t 100% sure these two would end up together until maybe a couple books ago. It was always obvious they felt something for each other with all of their banter though.
This book absolutely wrecked me. It was definitely one of Brittney’s more emotional stories (if not the most). Watch out for chapter 5….I’ve still not recovered from it. Oliver and Mya went through an unimaginable trauma together and each dealt with it in different ways.
Their journey back to each other was so beautiful. I was a sobbing mess through the entire book. I loved seeing old characters return. This wouldn’t be a true Brittney Sahin book without some plot twists though. I definitely didn’t see that coming. That epilogue was everything I ever wanted for this series. Now, I wait to what she has up her sleeve next!
I have started this review several times and deleted it . I don’t have the gift of words like Brittney does , but I can be honest and speak from my heart.
This book is a readers dream come true ! I mean so many book boyfriends in one place I just can’t! Brittney always writes books that move you and cause a riot of feelings but this one absolutely gutted me . So many raw emotions that I had to physically stop and put the book down to catch my breath and get my $hit together.
Oliver and Mya are perfectly imperfect together. They are both runners and both get entirely up in their heads to much. Their story had so many twists and turns and ups and downs it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time .
So if you like alpha males that are vulnerable and not afraid to eventually show it this is your book this is your series. I will put a warning here get a huge box of Kleenex a bottle of wine and a big glass and sit down and read . I would suggest you at least read all the Falcon Falls Security before you read The Wrecked One but it’s not necessary just helpful.
I am so excited to read all the spinoffs coming from this series and I am dying to know who Gwen’s man is .
Amazing!!! I'm not sure my review will do this book justice. I had the privilege again to be an ARC, and despite my late review, this book and series just keeps getting better.
My heart ached so badly for Oliver and Mya, and I'm pretty sure I openly cried just a few chapters in.
The mental torment and self-sacrificing these two go through have me in awe. They are not just characters to me, but they feel like I'm living in their world and I can physically feel their pain.
This book keeps your mind active in trying to help them solve the mystery that will save them all.
I'm so glad that Mya finally got to finish her puzzle. Oliver was always written in her story as hers.
To incorporate characters from every series and still feel pain when things happen to them proves this author takes you to another world.
Brittney is such a talented author, and I am grateful to have found her series many years ago and look forward to reading many more in the future
Mya and Oliver what a perfect combo of lust and slow burn and intrigue and hurt and a little bit of spice as well. the trauma that oliver goes through were he feels he hast to be away from Mya because he can't stand to see her in the face and not feel the guilt of what happened and that what his mom went through almost happened to his girl.. how does he handle that trauma.. He loves Mya but can he forgive himself and get rid of the demons to be able to be worthy of the stubborn girl that won't let go of him and the love they share no matter the danger. loved this read and sad its the last in the series but can't wait to see what comes next....
