* mafia read, still free on Amazon (if anyone is interested), cliffhanger (part 1 of 3)
* sweet, innocent h, thrown into a very difficult and dangerous situation because of her idiotic father; with only her underage sister's safety in her mind, she does everything possible to achieve what her uncle demanded of her - to spy on the 3 cartel brothers

**** I'll stop here for a moment and mention that I'm not sure what their ages were. Either I wasn't paying attention and missed the info, either wasn't clearly stated 😅. She's 20 years old by my calculations, but I'm not sure about the 3 MMCs. The older one takes some classes with her so they might be the same age!? But he definitely behaves like he's older? While his two brothers are younger, but all different ages, since there's no triplets / twins in the mix. What I'm trying to say is that their behavior sounds disconnected with their age 😅. They definitely seem older and not college age.

I liked her overall. She definitely did her best, considering the situation she was dealing with. I had a moment when I wanted to DNF and specifically when she had her jealousy crisis. She should have listened to her mother's saying more often 😂 especially in that moment. Such a cringe scene.

The second time I wanted to DNF was when Marco called her "baby girl". I'm glad I pushed through, though, because I really liked Gus (the youngest brother), and I'm curious about how the story will continue. I loved that he was the only one who suspected she might not be doing the "spying" because she wants to and that it might be something more complicated.

I wasn't a fan of the last 10% of the book because I understand she panicked, etc., but ma'am, don't run dressed like that into a freaking snow storm!!! And of course, she was caught by the bad guys. 😬🫣 but I loved how the guys panicked and then worked together to save her 🥰.

What to expect
- future RH, definitely: one h, three brothers (no sharing scenes though, just yet, probably in the next books)
- mafia set-up, violence TW, etc. etc.
- V h, experienced Hs
- 🌶🌶🌶 spicy, coercion, spanking, praising, degradation, and others, etc. etc.
- not a lot of relationship development, especially between the h and Gus, the youngest brother, but by the end of the book, it was clear that all of them catched feelings 👀

I will continue the series when the next books are published. Because I want to see how they get revenge on her POS uncle!! I hope Gus will teach her some t0rtur3 techniques 👀🤭💪🤷‍♀️😁 and then help her get rid of her "dear" uncle💅.

Also, I'm curious if she will be pregnant maybe!?? Because they never use condoms and no other type of BC is mentioned in the book. Surprise, surprise!!!?? 🤭😂👀

.

Her mother's saying that actually anchored her in reality a few times and calmed her: “Stay calm. Panicking makes you stupid, and stupid gets you dead.”

So this books fmc Elle is given a choice when her father makes a mistake. Her uncle who is head of the Italian mafia is no longer giving her and her sister protection. So she and her sister must do the unspeakable and work in her uncles brothel or infiltrate the cartel through the Romero brothers the sons of the head of the cartel. With lies, secrets and tasks for each who will destroy who?

If you love a dark enemies to lovers mafia/cartel bully romance then this is for you! The book slows enough for you to see the depth and development of each character. I love how they are so different and unique in their own ways.

Ends of a cliffhanger leaving you anticipating the next book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️

ELLE has been taken from the street by a cousin and it isn't good. He is taking her somewhere but won't tell her. He does threaten her little sister. She's locked in the trunk of the car. When she's taken out she's at the warehouse her father runs. There her uncle is waiting for her with her father hanging from a hook all bloody. She learns he's the book keeper who's suppose to launder the money but he embezzled over 3 million. Now her uncle wants it back. He wants someone to repay that money and that be her and her sister. He tells her that it will be an easy way or a hard way. When she hears what the easy way is she goes for the hard way. And that is how she finds herself Silver Hills University in Silver Hills, Vermont. She is to bed one of them, get information he wants as to why the cartel is here and then destroy them.
ANDRES is the eldest brother and is to take over the family business when he turns 30. Marco is the enforcer and Gus is psychopath who made murder an art. Their father is riding them because of Gus's little fun project in Mexico. So they were sent to Silver Hills University. Andres wants to learn how the Leotta crime family works and runs. He has ideas of going global and he might learn something from them. He is in one of Elle's class and has taken an interest in her. Now all three brothers are at a frat party and she walks in as he's talking to another woman who he is so not interested in. But she gives him a lot of information that he can use. She's related to Leotta. He is going to make sure he claims her before any one else. He manages to catch up with her and they start to learn about each other.
Her uncle is not a patient man and is constantly messaging her and threatening her with what he can do to her sister and father. She gets caught snapping pictures of his paperwork. So he decides to keep her around and arrange for information that will let his young brother Gus have some fun.
But the fun is in playing with Elle. Elle is so tired and when it really hits the fan she hopes her uncle will let her little sister go like he promised if she died.
Will the brothers help her when they find out why she's doing what she is? Will they actually care?
A dark story with dark characters but an angel that could help them.

Apart from the cliffhanger ending, this book was an incredible read! It has college, bully elements, mafia, hints of BDSM, lots of 'good girl' (I'm a praise kink kind of girl), semi dark elements and I loved it all.

Elle - I am looking forward to seeing how she develops throughout the rest of the series. She has spitfire in her and I know she's holding back because of her predicatment but I really do hope she unleashes it, especially towards Marco and Andres. But what she endures, she puts up with just to keep her sister safe? Girl, the reprieve better come for her because I was ready to snap for her.

Andres - Liked him at first, then when he found out about Elle snooping and began treating her like he did, wasn't a fan. But I feel his redemption coming. He was beginning to be redeemed at the end. I need to know how things play out though :(

Marco - the man is a freak in the bedroom

Gus - honestly, I am loving Gus! He's unhinged and definitely a psychopath but I was loving him. I'm not sure why I kept getting Beast Boy vibes from him but that's who I kept hearing in my head when he talked. I loved that Gus was the one to notice Elle may not be a threat that his brothers think she is and trying to get his brothers to see that she may actually be in trouble.

Overall, I loved this story. It had all the elements I enjoy and I cannot wait to read the rest of the triology to find out how things get played out!

Please check TW/CW before reading as this has some dark elements.

I really don’t know if Ruthless Liars should be called a romance, at this point. The trigger warnings that it’s a very dark novel, are not exaggerated. It includes just about every trope on that spectrum, resulting in a fast-paced, suspense filled, introduction to the Bullies of Silver Hills University series. If dark is to your taste, you won’t be disappointed.
Betrayed by Elle’s father, her Uncle Vitale, the head of the Italian mafia, gives her a choice in repaying his debt. Either she and her younger sister can work it off in one of his brothels or Elle can spy on the head of the cartel by getting close to his three sons. Choosing the latter, she enrolls at Silver Hills University where the three boys attend classes and discovers that infiltrating the cartel isn’t going to be an easy task.

“Stay calm. Panicking makes you stupid, and stupid gets you dead.”

Elle consistently falls back on her deceased mother’s words of advice when dealing with her Uncle Vitale, the head of the Italian Mafia, and the Romero Brothers, three sons of the head of the Romero Cartel.

Vitale goes back on his word to Elle’s mom and is no longer offering protection to Elle or her teenage sister, Anna, due to an infraction committed by their father. An infraction of missing millions.

Elle has two choices: prostitute herself and her teenage sister out at a brothel owned by her uncle OR infiltrate the Romero brothers at Silver Hills University, collect intel on the cartel, and eventually, kill the brothers: Andres, Marco, and Gus. Easy choice, right?

How bad can it be when three dark, tall and dangerous men want her? How dangerous can it be when they discover her ulterior motives? How sexy can it get when Elle doesn’t have to choose between the three? Will each Romero brother fall under her spell? Will they be able to follow through on destroying Elle to prove to their father that they’re capable of running the family business?

What else could possibly happen? Italians. Russians. Mexicans. Lust, love, and murder.

The first book in the Silver Hills University series is just the beginning of a very spicy why choose, reverse harem where Elle, our virginal good girl, is corrupted by the three Romero brothers. Elle may be spying to save the lives of her sister and deadbeat father, but her feelings for these dangerous men are real.

The Romero brothers may be laying trap after trap for Vitale through Elle, treating Elle like their personal wh*re, and pursuing their own futures in the Romero cartel, but there is no denying that Andres, Marco, and Gus have given their hearts to Elle without even realizing it’s happened.

“You’ve been a very, very bad girl, angel.”

SPOILER ALERT!!!! This was such a great book I loved watching as Elle became more and more comfortable in her situation with the brothers in different capacities. It was funny seeing both into everyone's mind as they each tried to fight the growing feelings they were having while maintaining the belief they weren't growing attached and it was "just a job". I absolutely cannot wait for book 2 where they all have to face their feelings and grovel as Elle's feet and help to save her and her sister from her uncle (hopefully not her dad because I can't stand him). Also I can't decide who I love the most but I'm definitely leaning towards Gus, I'm hoping he's let loose on the uncle ;).

I can’t even begin to explain all the feelings this made me feel.

I will start by saying that reading disclaimers or trigger warning for a book is ALWAYS a must.

THAT BEING SAID. In so many situations I felt very connected to the FMC. I have lived some of her feeling and it helped to pull me even deeper into the story. I am not, and I also know that the author is also not romanticizing anything in particular in this book. But I personally enjoy reading these books knowing there will in one way or another be a positive ending. EVENTUALLY!!!

Not only did I get dragged head first into the depths of this world, but i managed to accidently finish it in um… 4 ish hours?? Ha! When I reached the end the inly thing that disappointed me was that I needed more, and immediately!!

It’s been literal minutes and I am itching for the next one.

Everything, especially the characters, was written extremely well! I cannot wait until I can get my hands on the next one. This one already has me thinking there are some new nicknames my fiance needs to start using like, yesterday. And I also may need to go out and buy me a stuffed unicorn, just because ❤️❤️

This is definitely something I will be recommending to friends!!

awesome book

This was one of the better dark romance books I have read in a while! I loved it! While it may be a lot for some readers trigger-wise, I didn’t have any issues and have read much darker. I even found myself laughing at quite a few parts (in a good way) because even though these people were mafia, they still had a good sense of humor. I enjoyed the characters, even the FMC - who I usually detest. She was way naive and made some questionable choices but I can’t fault her so much since that’s how she was raised. I can’t wait for the next book!

Mafia Dark Romance Why Chose Collegiate Story - - Really Enjoyed!!

Always make sure to read all the trigger warnings beforehand!

Elle was born into an Italian mafia family and as a female you have very little choice in life, but she never expected it to go the way it was going. Her mother died when she was younger, so she stepped in to take care of her younger sister Anna however her father was a greedy lying cheat of a man who stole from the leader of the family her uncle. Her Uncle gave her 2 choices, an easy way where Elle and her 16-year-old sister Anna could work the father’s debt off in one of the brothels as they are highly desired virgins or the hard way where Elle could get close to 3 Cartel men, get their secrets, and then kill them. Elle would do anything to protect her sister’s innocence, so she chose the hard way even at risk of losing her own virginity. Unfortunately for her Elle is not a good spy and definitely won’t be a good assassin.

The Romero Brothers are all part of the Mexican Cartel but dangerous in their own ways and sent to the US to finish out college. Andres is the leader; Marco is the muscle and Gus is the pyscho but they all have to keep their heads down and keep their business on the downlow. Andres plans to use the area as a jumping point for them taking over the dealings in the US and is attracted to Elle immediately and thinks she would be a perfect submissive Cartel wife however when he catches her right off the bat snooping in his room, he realizes that she is a spy but he doesn’t know for who or care why just that she is a spy. Andres values loyalty and has massive control issues especially since he is the leader of his group. He concocts a “game” with his brother Marco and Gus, and they are going to ruin her for all other men especially when he finds out that she is a virgin.

Unbeknownst to Elle, all 3 guys are in on her being a spy, so she doesn’t realize as the story progresses that she is completely in the dark. I love that even though Elle is willing to do whatever she needs to do she isn’t a complete pushover and does show some grit and determination as well as her own personality. And I loved seeing all the different personalities between the guys and how they are each starting to fall for Elle in their own way. And the chemistry between them all is explosive and spicy to read.

But this is only the beginning as the Russians are now involved and the story ends on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to see what happens next so now we must sit back and wait for the journey to continue – but who will win in this war?

I went into this book with low expectations, I got it for free from someone on Facebook and I'll be honest, most of the time those books are mediocre at best. Combine that with the fact I'm not a big RH fan and I thought I'd struggle through it. However, once it got started, the set-up was unique enough that I found myself super intrigued and excited for the next page! The sex scenes were hot and just what I wanted and all the H's were delightfully evil in their own way and they definitely each brought something unique to the story. Something about it reminded me of "Lord's of Forsyth" I think it's the way they are all playing her and making her life hell and she just endures it all. I was dumb and didn't realize this was the first book of a series and so now I'm stuck on a cliffhanger, biting my nails waiting for the next book! 4.5 Stars. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was there were a few details that were just glossed over that should have been a bigger deal. The h OBVIOUSLY should have realized when Anders caught her snooping the first time that he was aware of who she was and was setting her up. She never even questioned it, which the more she knew him, she really should have known better. I was however able to overlook it as her being oblivious set up the plot and it didn't detract from my overall experience! Definitely give this a read if you don't mind being left on a cliffy or add it to your TBR for when the whole series comes out.

Mafia, academy, bully, and why choose!
This book pulled me in right away! With twists, secrets, lies, and danger!
There was drama, spice, lots of feels and more!!

Elle was a great FMC. She is resilient and will do what she has to, to protect her sister. I have a feeling her growth is only just beginning.
Andres, Gus, and Marco were the brothers. I have mixed feelings on them so far. I do like how different they were. Elle, definitely has her hands full.

I think this was a fantastic start to the series!! I can't wait to see what happens, especially after that ending!!

Whew man. This one is not for the faint of heart. Please please read the triggers and take care of your mental health!

However, if you're like me and have to triggers (idk what that says about me lol), definitely give this book a read. Enemies/rivals to lovers, alpha-hole, RH, brothers, man this has it all and I love it. It's dark, it's gritty, and at times it's hard to read in the best way.

I will definitely be waiting for book two to come out, cuz how book one ended? I need to know what happens next!

This is really a good book. Haven't read this author before but I will now. Ellie is from a mafia family but doesn't really like them, she has a younger sister that they are blackmailling her with to spy on the three cartel brothers. Little does she know that they figure it out pretty soon and use her to there liken. would recommend. there will be another book just so you know.

Game over, sweetheart!
Oofta, what a wild ride! This is the first book in the Bullies of Silver Hills University Series, and let me tell you—it’s dark. I mean dark—a college bully mafia romance that will push your boundaries and leave you breathless. Let's into it!

FULL REVIEW & POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD:
The story follows Elle & the 3 Romero brothers—Andres, Marco, & Gus. Elle starts off innocent & vulnerable, but she quickly transforms into a spitfire with a sharp, witty tongue. From the start, she’s thrust into an impossible situation: her father got caught stealing from her Uncle Vitale, who's the head of the family. 🙄 To pay off the debt, Elle is given an ultimatum—either get pimped out along with her younger sister Anna OR attend Silver Hills University & spy on the Romero brothers without getting caught. 😫 Well shit, choices choices...

Now, let’s meet the brothers:
▪︎ Andres, the oldest, is sophisticated, calculating, & a control freak who becomes vicious when crossed. Doesn't sound too bad, right? 🤷‍♀️
▪︎ Marco, the enforcer, is devilishly handsome, a charming playboy, & a master manipulator. Could he be my ex? 🤔
▪︎ Gus, the baby, is a complete wild card. Childlike, unhinged, & bff's with a stuffed unicorn named Mr. Stabby 😂 He’s a psychopath with a reputation for flaying his victims alive. Ummm 😳

So ya...other than being ruthless, deranged monsters, these guys have real potential—and I love them! Oh Lord I think I need therapy, is there an option C?🙏🤦‍♀️

Elle (who is a virgin btw) will do anything to keep Anna safe,  so she dives head first into seducing the brothers to gather intel for her uncle. You can do it Elle, I've got faith in you...kinda 😬 Well, by pure luck she grabs the attention of Andres. Tryin her best to woo the man, her impatient uncle continues to breath down her neck, threatening what he will do to Anna & her father if she doesn't hurry up & get him info. She panicks & franticly starts snooping around Andres's room, but gets caught red-handed snapping pictures of papers. Holy hell! Andres is pissed, and I mean furious, but instead of punishing her, he decides to keep her around for a twisted game of manipulation & some gaslighting—with the help of his brothers, of course😭

This girl is up shit creek without a paddle y'all! ☠️ Things start to spiral out of control quickly. And what happens when all 3 master bullies fall for their favorite toy? Pure chaos & a whole lot of spice, that's what! 🤯🔥 Their story gets intense & crazy dark, so check your triggers ⚠️

Omg, I have alot of mixed feelings & emotions at this point. Strap in—if you're looking for a sweet, Hallmark romance, this isn't it. It's messy, chaotic, spicy, & utterly addictive. And these brothers 🥴 They are absolutely insane, unbalanced to say the least, & delightfully sinful—my kind of men! 🙌 This crazy train stops abruptly in a 'fuck me sideways' cliffhanger too 😲

My dark college bully mafia romance lovers who crave morally grey men & a fierce, witty heroine—you’ll devour this one whole! Solid 4 ⭐️'s. Ms York, please hurry up with book two — I need to know what happens next.

FAV QUOTES/SCENES:
“If you trust me enough to let me lead, I think you’ll find a lot of new favorites.”

“But what if I wanted to make you my good girl and turn you into my fallen angel? What if I decide that I want you, and only you?”

We were going to absolutely ruin her.

What is it they always say? There’s a thin line between love and hate?

“Mr. Stabby, you’re lucky all your family is imaginary. Brothers are the worst.”

Every brain cell I had screamed at me to run. To run as fast and as far as I could. This kind of intensity in a man was a clear sign of problems down the line. This was the kind of man who required restraining orders, and I had a feeling that not even that would keep him from the woman he wanted. Yet my body craved it, told me he would protect me and make me feel things I could only ever imagine.

I’d been told multiple times I was not fit for human interaction before being properly caffeinated. Of course, I had no idea what was wrong with those people. No matter the time of day, I was a fucking delight.

“You forgot your place, little girl. I’m going to enjoy reminding you exactly where you belong.”

“This is mine. Only mine. I will kill any other man who touches what is mine.”

What were they feeding these Romero men?

"You are so beautiful like this. Tear tracks running down your face, lips shiny and bruised, makeup smeared."

"That’s right, kitten. I want to hear all the sounds you make.”

But if Marco was the cleansing fire, then Andres was the soothing balm that helped me heal.

"Giddyup, pretty girl. Show me how you ride.”

"They have her,” Andres said. “And they will die for it.”

"You have been a very, very bad girl, angel.”

Review:
Ruthless Liars is a dark story with dark characters, but an angel that could help them. The first book in the Silver Hills University series is just the beginning of a very spicy why choose, reverse harem where Elle, our virginal good girl, is corrupted by the three Romero brothers. Elle may be spying to save the lives of her sister and deadbeat father, but her feelings for these dangerous men are quite real. The Romero brothers may be laying a trap for Vitale through Elle, treating Elle like their personal w*ore, and pursuing their own futures in the Romero Cartel, but there is no denying that Andres, Marco, and Gus have given their hearts to Elle without even realizing it's happened. I would highly recommend Ruthless Liars to anyone who is looking for reverse harem, dark mafia romance story. I'm looking forward to seeing what will becoming next in this series.

Wow! So good.

This book starts off with blast and doesn't stop until the end. Romantic suspense at an excellent pace with distinct characterization of three hate-to-love antiheroes. The spice was spicing in delicious dom-sub, complementary tastes variety — and chaos (more on that later).

Blackmailed by her devious and evil Mafia uncle, Elle is compelled to infiltrate the Cartel, get on the guys’ good side, and gather intel to save her sister. What happens when they develop feelings for each other within this subterfuge? Revenge, control, and an unbidden touch of mercy because, well, they really are attracted to each other with jealous possessiveness against anyone who looks at one in the group.

Elle was strong, pushed to feisty at times, though sweet with her mother’s mantra ever in the background “Stay calm. Panicking makes you stupid, and stupid gets you dead.” She was at the mercy of her evil uncle and three young Cartel princes, Andres, Marco, Gus, all equally dark in their own ways.

Andres was lead, next in line, needing control, demanding subservience. How hot was it when he even chose Elle’s attire, a dom requiring his angel to call to him sir. Then, Marco, big muscles, popular and prolific among the women (until Elle). He demanded control within unpleasant alternatives, favored daddy as a moniker, giving sweet pain with pleasure to his baby girl. Finally, youngest brother, Gus, unhinged, chaotic, with a thirst for killing was unexpectedly, amazingly, sweet on Elle within mind games of chaos. He wanted to keep her. He also had conversations with his stuffed animals.

I enjoyed this storyline so much seeming an almost traditional love affair to deliciously depraved in a flash, and, yes, this book contained dark humor, too.

I loved the difference in personalities, even their subtleties, how each orchestrated control or chaos, the artifice and counter measures they enacted on Elle while secretly attracted to her, wanting her.

Five, spicy stars for the why-choose, college, crime bosses and power dominance romance. Not dark to me (though what is really?), full consent was always given. Unpalatable alternatives, sure, but Elle enjoyed it all. I suspect the next book will be lighter (unfortunately) with less strife between the heroine and antiheroes, but I absolutely want to read it.

Good girl meets bad boys in a revenge, blackmail, mafia / cartel love story with all the spice, and I was here for every minute. Great read.

The premise is that Elle’s uncle, the mafioso, tells her that she needs to spy on the 3 Romero brothers or she and her sister will end up working in a brothel to pay back the money her father stole from him. She enrolls in the same university as the Romero brothers to seduce them and get info about the Cartel to the Mafia. Once she catches their attention the fun begins.

This book starts with a monogamous relationship and turns into a reverse harem romance. Elle falls into the traps of trickery and manipulation the brothers set up to gain intimacy. She is hurt, degraded, and humiliated in the games they play with her. This is not like the typical book where you can say, oh, well the heroine lets them do these things to her so it is her choice to be treated this way. This book is harder to swallow because Elle really has no choice. There are real consequences if she decides not to go along with the wishes of the Romero brothers. And though she seems to like a bit of what they want, their wishes can be psychologically brutal. There is Andres, who is controlling, insensitive, and sexually degrading. Marco, the playboy, wants her pain. And Gus, with his unicorn stuffy, is just unhinged and likes humiliation. Gus is one of the most original anti-heroes I have read and his character is a lot of fun if you can handle his extracurricular activities.

This book was a lot of fun if you can swallow the worst of Elle’s treatment by the brothers. The characters are fresh and original. There is a whole lot of suspense, there is action and there are some very spicy intimate scenes. But watch out for the trigger warnings, there are a lot of them. This book, sadly, ends on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read the next book.

NEED. NEED. NEED MORE! Finishing this without being able to immediately dive into the next book has me feeling like I’ve been denied access to a crucial piece of my survival, like needing water but the only source is from bottle that you can’t open.

I did the work to get the bottle, I’m ready to savour every drop, but now I need to be patient while I figure out how to open it. Trouble is, I’m thirsty now 😩

Ruthless Liars by Blakely York

Forward notes prior to the start of the novel was very informative and appreciated, as I know there would be readers who would not read a book with certain triggers and would be upset an author did not disclose the information before hand. With that being said, now we move to the novel itself.

I am floored. This was a solid 5 star rating for me. The author did an excellent job with the storyline. The FMC was such a strong loyal person. I don't know if I would have been able to go through everything she did without taking a pound of flesh myself. She may be young and naive but her loyalty definitely knows no boundaries. The MMCs, the brothers, are each unique in their own way. It's always the crazy one that is the sweetest of all, it seems. I found I liked them and hated then at the same time.

I'm sorry and guilty to say I was glued to this novel instead of working. I just couldn't put it down and before I knew it, it was the last page. I had a moment of 'what the heck' going on. Like for reals, this is the ending of this first book? So, yay author, you did a great job keeping me from working.

I am so excited for the next book and to see how the author is going to spin the next plots to the storyline. I'm most anxious to see how the relationship between Elle and the brothers go, with that ending.

If you have not read this, I would say it is a must.

Ruthless Liars is book 1 of 3 in the Bullies of Silver Hills University series.
It is a dark, dark, dark bully mafia romance.
Right from the first chapter, there's an instantly intense scene that had gripped me and had me on the edge of my seat. This book was full of unhinged situations and a twisted plot that had me flying through the pages eager to find out what happened next. I enjoyed the writing and this mafia world as well as these interesting characters and their tangled web of lies and deceit.

What to expect:
Mafia
Bullies
Why Choose
BDSM
DUBCON
Cliffhanger
Multiple POV
And more

Elle has grown up in the mafia world. She's responsible, loyal, and resilient. After her father gets her into a bad situation she has to step up and make things right with her uncle and pay off a debt. Her options are not easy but she's determined to save her younger sister from a horrible fate so she must be brave. She has to spy on the Romero brothers at Silver Hills University and eliminate them after getting information out of them.

Andres is vicious, calculating, and ruthless. Bored with getting what comes easily he's eager for a challenge and to prove himself to his father. He's the oldest brother and the next heir of the Romero cartel.

Marco is the enforcer of the brothers. He's a playboy and is never without women surrounding him.

Gus is the youngest brother and is the bloodthirsty psychopath of the three.

I couldn't get enough of Elle and these unhinged brothers. I'm absolutely invested in their story and cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Going in I knew this book would have serious dark elements. I appreciated how strong Elle was, however why was she written so stupid at the same time? Knowing she was dealing with cartel who brutally murdered FBI agents why was she so careless in her “spying”? The three brothers were interesting. Gus clearly has antisocial personality disorder and he was creepily portrayed as a childlike man…i.e. wore a onesie to sleep, had a room full of toys, etc. Yet a bit later he was busy killing and disassembling mafia men. Well written on the nuances of APD. Marco is a sex addict and Andres is a control freak. The brothers clearly have more going on with them than Elle and her need to protect her sister.

Here’s were it lost a star…Andres takes her as his girlfriend and really likes her despite the spying. So he allows his brothers to have sex with her to break her in different ways?! I just didn’t buy it with his uber controlling nature and desire to keep her. Second I dislike when the FMC does blatantly stupid things, such as run out in a blizzard in barely any clothing only to be caught by the Russian mafia. It was too contrived. It went so well until their mountain trip when the climax could’ve been better as a showdown at the penthouse between the 4 of them. It was a good read and I’d read the second book. Hopefully since Elle is now outed on who and what she was doing maybe the stupid stuff she did will go away and she will be written like the badass she was meant to be. I got this book for free via booksprout and left the review voluntarily.

This was a really good book. The characters are very different and I would say different than most characters in a why chose/reverse harem novel. I struggled with whether or not I would simply give it a 4 star or a 5 star review, because one of the characters seemed very childlike, and it was really hard for me to overcome at first. Ultimately I chose 5 stars because the entire book still held my interest and I will be reading the next one. I was absorbed and I finished it rather quick. I also have to mention that the character I struggled with also had some very good portions towards the end that helped me gain a love of his character. With that being said the book starts with the FMC being put in a position to spy on members/future leaders of the cartel. She is a part of a mafia family with a rather complicated familial situation. She has a job to do to take care of her younger sister even if it means compromising her virtue. She doesn't expect to actually fall for the men she has to spy on and she can't afford for them to find out that she is. There are plot twists and a good storyline. I think my favorite thing about this book is that it's not the same story that we read over and over small changes. It is it's own story and a great one. I would definitely reccomend reading it. Let talk Tropes and Triggers.

You definitely need to check your triggers before picking up this book as it deals with dark and heavy themes in detail. SO please be sure you know what you are getting into.

This is truly a heavy loaded suspenseful dark why choose romance. Elle is the niece of the italian mafia don, unfortunately her father was stolen money, so it is up to her to save her sister and dad. The choices, work in one of his brothels or infiltrate Silver HIlls university and the three Romero cartel boys: Andres, Marco & Gus.

She takes her good girl persona and decides to start getting as much information as she can on the brothers, and they are each interested in her, that is until they discover her intentions, and they will bring her to the darkest depravation levels in order to break her. She will silently take tha abuse/pleasure/kink/possession as in part she enjoys it, too. But the pressure from both sides is starting to crack her spirit,

This is a truly charged read, though Elle is strong and resilient, she also starts to feel like she belongs to the boys and his ways, and though they treat her like their personal sex slave, they do not realize that they also are so into her body mind and soul. Be ready to experience grit, rawness, pain, pleasure and so much more. And the best part it does not have a HEA but a cliffhanger..

After her father is caught laundering money from her mafia don uncle Elle is given 2 choices, damn herself and her little sister to the sex slave trade to pay the debt or enrol in an elite Mafia college, seduce 3 brothers from the cartel and end their lives eventually.
“Stay calm. Panicking makes you stupid and stupid gets you dead.” The mantra her mother instilled in her makes her choose what she thinks is the lesser evil but are Andres, Marco and Gus any less dangerous.
Andres demands absolute submission from his good girl, her subservience to him even down to what she wore for her “sir”
Marco, or daddy as he demands Elle call him, the ladies man. His blackmail coming with pleasure and pain for his kitten.
Gus may seem child like, I mean who else has a unicorn stuffie called Mr Stabby, who likes to play games but there is a lethally smart psychopathic killer just under the surface.
Our FMC may be innocent but as the story progresses we can see her feisty inner strength clawing its way out and the love for her sister as she fights to protect her. The three brothers may be brutal but they unwittingly fall in love even if they don’t realise it yet.
That cliff hanger had me on the edge of my seat and I cannot wait for the next book in the series to see how Elle and her men move forward.

Spice, Cartel, and Chaos

I’ll be honest—the beginning dragged a little and I almost DNF’d. I’m glad I didn’t, though, because once it picked up I was hooked and now I’m anxiously waiting for book two!

The spice? Absolutely worth it. A young virgin mafia heroine being claimed by three cartel men in the name of spying had me glued to the page. I understood her reasoning—doing it all to save her sister (and even her father, though honestly I don’t think he’s worth her concern) under her uncle’s pressure. That said, she did feel a bit too oblivious at times. When a man shifts from determined to evil and sadistic, girl… you know he knows.

Gus didn’t work for me. He read more like a boy than a man, which gave me the ick. He could’ve been the softer brother while still showing maturity, but instead came across too immature for a mafia romance.

And then there’s the snowstorm escape. Running out half-naked? Stupid af. Grab some clothes first, then run.

Still, I enjoyed this one overall. Elle has so much potential as a character and I really hope book two lets her step into her strength—admitting her reasons, rescuing her sister (seriously, forget the father), and maybe even helping the brothers rule the cartel. That would be chef’s kiss.

Great star to what I am sure will be a great series! Elle will do anything to protect her sister – even spy on a cartel for her Uncle. Elle is the typical mafia woman – kept out of everything, kept away from all men, yet her uncle wants her to seduce the 3 brothers (Andres, Marco and Gus) to get information on them so he can take them out.

It doesn’t take long for Elle to get to each of the brothers – she doesn’t realize they are playing a game with her and know she is a spy. Andres is hurt, because he really like Elle and thought he could make her the perfect submissive! But when he catches her snooping, he knows that he will eventually have to tell Diablo about her and she will be “taken” care of. Each brother is taken in by Elle and want to keep her! And Elle, even though she is catching feelings for these men, must move forward with the plan to protect her sister.

Left with a cliffhanger at the end – looking forward to seeing how this plan plays out! Each of the men are different in their own ways and you get to see that throughout the story. Each one has something Elle needs in her life and she provides what each of them need.

OMG! This book was seriously fantastic it gave you everything and more, for this Mafia story. I absolutely loved reading this book it had me captivated I couldn't put the book down. There were plenty of Trigger points: Dark Romance, degradation and humiliation, violence, Stockholm syndrome, fetishes, dark fantasies, human-trafficking, bdsm, dubcon. Elle was born into the Italian Mafia, Iwas given a choice for her and her young under age sister to work in a strip club or she is to get close to three men find out a few things and then kill them she is trying to protect her sister so off to University she went. Andres and his brothers Marco and Gus they were born into the Cartel, Andres noticed Elle she was smart, pretty and sufisticated. Andres is seducing Elle he is training her to what he likes the hard core bdsm even sharing with his brothers. Elle and Andres they both have secrets and they have plans too. They he took her V-card and showed her everything pleasure and pain, who will win this war.
