I really enjoyed this literary mystery that moves between a rainswept near-future London, Wiltshire and eastern Europe. EJ Pepper has the knack of creating characters the reader cares about, from struggling journalist Ollie to grieving philanthropist Greg - and devious peer of the realm, Hamish Rosser. When Ollie's and Rosser's paths cross, Ollie hopes Rosser's information will be the scoop that rescues his flagging newspaper career. Instead, Ollie is dragged into a web of blackmail and murder that threatens everything he values. A well written, twisty page turner that had me hooked.
