He was fire, and she was ice. He was the coffee shop barista, and she was the neonatal surgeon. He knew the moment he laid eyes on her she was the one he wanted to spend forever with. She, on the other hand, wasn’t so sure he was her forever.
Promise Price mapped out her entire life. She graduated high school at fifteen, graduated college at eighteen, and graduated medical school at twenty-two. She was an overachiever and wanted to be the best surgeon in the state of Texas. The only thing she cared about was her career… Until she met him.
Nathan Bowers was as cool as a cucumber. He was the middle child of three boys and always went with the flow. He didn’t expect anything from anyone because it saved him the disappointment of being let down.
When the two meet, coffee isn’t the only thing hot between them. Sparks fly and emotions run rampant as they navigate through life with seemingly nothing in common. Will their opposites attract to create a beautiful connection, or will their sweet romance run stale?

What a sweet story! Promise made a rookie mistake being young and inexperienced. That experience however, shaped the woman she became, and gave her the drive to be the best surgeon she could be. Her trust in men has faltered, and she has lasting effects of the tough decision she had to make. So, when she meets a confident, and handsome, coffee shop owner she is leery.
Nathan is always cool as a cucumber. Long as he has his weed, his family is good, and the coffee shop is doing well, he's gucci. When the beautiful Promise steps into his shop, he is mesmerized by her and can begin to see their future without even knowing her. I loved how Nathan was patient, yet persistent in his pursuit of Promise, as she had reservations about them getting together.
Nathan's charm and authenticity broke down Promise's barriers and she gave him a chance. Their love was adorable to watch unfold. Can't wait for the other Bower brothers to find their one. Nice read. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Mya tells a sweet, unproblematic story about Promise and Nathan. Promise is a doctor who has heart, lots of passion, and little unresolved trauma. She is also very innocent, and extremely sweet. Nathan was that niğģa. He was an entrepreneur, loyal to his family and he was romantic and super intentional. His pursuit and love for Promise was so healing and so refreshing. Loved them together. The story was super enjoyable, and super easy to follow, and filled with love. Nathan and his siblings left a lasting impression, so I can't wait for their stories.
I enjoyed this love interlude for Nathan and Promise. I was happy the early set back in her life did not hinder her lofty plans. I don't think the author mentioned whatever happened with Jerkwad Jamal. He was a total jerk the way he treated Promise. Those events dimmed her light. And a few times, I wanted the good doctor to let the hurt go. Maybe she didn't ask for forgiveness. The story was precisely what I needed at the end of the day. A happy ending.
Promise was such a genuine sweet woman. She was smart, beautiful and charismatic. All she cared about was her family and her job as a Neonatal Surgeon until Nathan Bowers stepped on the scene. Nathan was ambitious, determined, handsome and funny. He was the middle son of three. He was part owner of a coffee shop called Bowers Brews. When the sexy barista laid eyes on Promise he knew she was the one. Promise not so much lol. She been hurt in her college days and it made her think the worse and protect her heart. Nathan broke her down with his patience, persistence and charm. These two was super cute. They were opposites but also alike in ways. I love how they organically fell for one another. They meshed so well. I also loved how both of their families was super supportive. Nothing but positive and genuine vibes. I can’t wait to read about the other brothers especially Nahmir. He’s quite interesting. Allure was such a good friend. I wanna see more of her also. I loved her personality and her daughter lol. Malika was too adorable with the way she spoke. I melted everytime 🥰. I would’ve loved to see how cornball Jamal turned out. Overall this was a good quick cute read. This book will pull different emotions out of you.
This instalove romance is perfect. When you are looking for this trope, you’re hoping to get A Promising Remedy. The FMC overcomes significant challenges but her vulnerability leads to a perfect love with the most amazing MMC. The MMC’s brothers are well written and they make you want to read the next book in the Love’s Infusion series. A Promising Remedy is funny, thought provoking and engaging.

4⭐️🌶️🌶️ I liked that this book showed what unconditional love could be. I feel like the author did a great job in giving life to a love story about two adults that were a little bit jaded in the love department, but healed enough to be open to finding love. I liked that it promised the FMC was educated, wealthy, and kind-hearted, and Nathan, the MMC, was optimistic, thoughtful, and communicative. I like that there wasn’t any drama in this book, and the instance where there was some miscommunication, they talked through it like adults.
I have been waiting to read this book ever since I read the synopsis. And it was worth the wait. The Bowers Brothers Nathan, Nicholas, and Nahmir are the owners of a unique coffee establishment. Promise Price is a neonatal surgeon who visits Bowers Brew after her friend Allure suggested it. That's where Nathan and Promise's meet-cute takes place. No spoiler!! But.....
First, let me say how this book had me at Nathan calling Promise "Miss Surgeon". The chemistry, the passion, the camaraderie between Nathan and Promise as they navigate through their pasts to see the potential of a future was beautiful and amazing. The one thing I loved about this book was that Nathan never deviated from his feelings toward Promise. He knew what he wanted and needed. And Promise was his in every sense of the word. What a beautiful, heartfelt, and engaging story.
This author continues to amaze me with outstanding writing and her ability to draw the reader into the story as if you're right there watching it unfold. I look forward to reading Nicholas and Nahmir's stories. I highly recommend this book. A definite must-read!
This was such an amazing story. Nathan and Promise had me locked in on their connection from their first meeting and had me rooting for them to find love. Nathan was very intentional and showed Promise so much love and care and helped her heal from her past situation. Nathan is the definition of my man, my man, my man. He was everything! The chemistry and connection between these two felt so real and genuine and they kept me smiling throughout this book. I’m excited to see what will come from the other Bowers brothers and see if they will offer their lady the same care, love and compassion as Nate did with Promise.
Nathan!! This man is all about putting action behind his words!! Nathan and his brothers are young, successful, and fine black men. Nathan is ready for love. When he sees Promise for the first time, he knows she is the one. Promise was betrayed and still carries the hurt from it. She busies herself with her work with saving babies to keep the pain and loneliness at bay. This is such a sweet love story and an amazing start to the Bowers Brothers series!
This was a very fun read. I enjoyed how Promise and Nathan genuinely got to know each other. Nathan knew exactly what he wanted and went after it hard. Promise was a little skeptical but she quickly got out of her head. I love how this story flowed together so nicely. I love it!! Can’t wait to read about the other brothers now.
Nathan was waiting on his forever and who steps into their coffee shop..... Promise, she had been hurt by someone that she trusted and was afraid to let love come into her heart but Nathan broke her down and showed her what true love was all about I loved the vibe between these two can't wait until the next book
I love Nate & Promise. I’m glad she’s trying to heal from the abortion. Nate is so patient & open! I love his ability to communicate & I’m glad Promise started to not be so negative all the time. I would love to work under a physician like her she seems to take care of her staff. I’m wondering which brother is next!!?!
This book was so good and it made me feel so giddy. Every woman deserves a Nathan Bowers. Nathan’s emotional intelligence was so sexy! Promise as a character was super empowering and I’m so glad that she let her guard down to let love in. I’m looking forward to the rest of the Bowers’ brother’s stories.

That damn Nathan was not playing about Promise! This book gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings! I love the way Nathan did not let up and went for what he wanted. I would love to read books for the brothers and Allure & Pride.
A sweet story with a book title that definitely describes the story within. I loved these characters and their journey to love. From the first date, I enjoyed the interaction between the two. A very sweet love story. I can't wait for book two.
I felt incomplete. Promise told Jamal he wouldn’t know peace but we never saw him get his pay back. Promise seemed to be the only one that dealt with the blow back. It was kinda disappointing.
Promise and Nathan’s relationship was kind of…. I don’t wanna say forced but I couldn’t make the connection. There was love there but it didn’t feel fully developed for me. Mya has always been great at bridging the connection (I mean look at Sincerely, Your Gangsta). This one just didn’t hit like it could have. That isn’t to say the story wasn’t good because it absolutely was. I just wanted more..
There are also SEVERAL typos and missing words that bothered me throughout my reading. It made it very hard to read efficiently.
This book started off pretty good then it fell off somewhere along the way. The MCs didn't really do it for me. Nathan was corny and talked too damn much. 🙄 Even Promise picked up on it and she was ready to ditch his behind after that first date. I side-eyed TF out of him for putting in all of that effort to ask her to be his girlfriend, only to create that lackluster marriage proposal. It was the equivalent of being asked to the prom. 🫤 I was expecting dinner on a yacht, a fireworks display, anything but that lil piece of yang yang yang he threw together. That was so disappointing.
I didn't understand the Allure and Pride situation. That was so out of the blue. I was hoping she and Nick would link up since he seemed to be ready to find his forever.
I did enjoy reading about Promise being a neonatal surgeon. That was quite impressive. The Bowers Brothers owning the coffee shop and giving to those who were locked down was awesome in its own right.
If part two is Nick's story, I might just read it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Nathan and Promise. Promise was hurt at a young age but Nathan knew how to get her to trust him by showing her what type of man he is. I simply adored reading about the development of their love story. Nathan was definitely the right man for Promise and she came to realize that. She did get on my nerves when she was about to let her past make her miss out on a good man. I loved the relationship the brothers had and as well as the relationships between them and the rest of their families, especially Allure. Allure's daughter, Malika, was soooo cute. Great book and I can't wait to read Nicholas and Nahmir's books.
Nathan My Nathan 😩 I think I’m in love 😮💨 ! I’m headed to Bowers Brews!” I need a cup of Nathan Bower 🤤! Promise, poor baby she compare everyone to Jamal young trifling ahh 🙄 he is not worth living rent free in her head for 10 plus years. I totally understand her trauma and she is in her right to take as much time she needs to grieve but it’s not fair to take that out on My husband Nathan 😑 you know she had the nerve to block my husband 🧐 Giiiiiiiiiirrrrrrllllll 👉🏾 stop playing with my 🗣HUSBAND Heffa 😌 ! Thank God My husband is a patient man 😌 ! He showed tf out hunny 🥰 this was such a beautiful love story ❤️❤️
this was a sweet story. promise x nathan. promise is a surgeon and Nathan co-owns a coffee shop. they meet at the coffee shop and begin flirting, dating, a relationship. promise was dealing with trauma from a previous sexual experience. Nathan helped her heal.
I listened to the audiobook and I was not a fan. the book was narrated by Tony Roberts and Charlie Wood. Tony and Charlie sounded like an old southern white woman and man instead of the 28 year old blacks they were portraying. this error in casting kept taking me out of the story.
love is so beautiful. i love this book. the male main character has so much love for the female main character. throughout the book you can see how hard he tries to make sure she feels loved and seen. he is the perfect book boyfriend. the main character is sweet and loving. you can see how much she cares about people. but this book is really so good. it is a bit of a quick read but it’s one you won’t regret. i would definitely recommend for someone to read.
I have to accept that this was a story of redemption and finding one’s self and love. However, I wanted so bad to know what happened with those two characters that did wrong to the main characters. I wanted to know how the main characters were able to heal from that trauma. Nonetheless this was a very good story of finding the light at the end of a tunnel and getting that ending that everyone can adore.
I’ve been sitting on this book for a minute now and my goodness was I missing out. Sometimes you just need a good love story without all of the drama. One where you see the characters love grow but also see them evolve as individuals. Promise and Nate were such a beautifully written couple and I’m hoping that I will get their closure in the following books.
Usually insta-love stories have me side eyeing cuz I’m firm on them not happening…but Nathan and Promise have me trying to figure out where I can find my own Nathan. This story was short but amazing to read. The way Nathan spoke life into Promise every chance he had…I was over her swooning. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the other brothers
