Keva's Dream

Rate this book
Keva

Life has a way of staying in the unfair lane while waving at you at the same time. Love and loss are connecting themselves to me and I’m over it. I wanted little outside the love of my life and a baby. First, my unconditional love departed, my conditional love followed, and soon after, my body turned on me. The way I view things, partaking in a one-night stand shouldn’t be a big deal. The smooth batter piece of chocolate approached me first. Why not? I’m owed something for carrying life’s baggage. My suitor for the night decided one encounter wasn’t enough to fulfill his need. Against my wishes, he inserted himself into my life, demanding things I swore off years ago.

Zahir

I wasn’t looking for anything, including a good time. Being at the wrong place at the right time paid off with a night of pleasure. Everything in me said leave her alone, but I couldn’t resist at least a small taste. I’ve had nothing so delicious and decided I needed to sample it again, but she ghosted me. Never being the one to take no for an answer, and with unlimited resources, I found her again.

This time around, she became more than a pleasurable moment. She became my anchor, someone to keep me grounded in my new identity. As I’m steadying myself to fully take on a life of legal means, my past comes calling. Before I could handle the interference, but now, I’ve got too much to lose. Resisting temptation is no easy feat, especially when things become deadly.

“I owe God an apology. You see, I was mad at him, not aware he was preparing me. He was shaping me through the heartache, loss, and disappointment for the safest arms I’ve ever known.”

Elle!!!!!! Not you setting the bar this high for yourself like this ma’am!! Not you smoking this debut novel like a perfectly rolled blunt 🍃😮‍💨!!! Not you leaving me with no edges after you snatched every 👏🏽single 👏🏽one! I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! An alpha, billionaire MMC that falls first?! 🗣️YES 👏🏽PLEASE👏🏽!!! This book was everything! And when the author gets it right on the first try……!!!!! Chefs kiss 👩🏽‍🍳 💋

Keva had one dream!! Just ☝🏽. She wasn’t greedy like some, she literally wanted one thing and it was something she was literally born to do. However, the likelihood of it coming true was looking more nightmarish than a dream. Her dream may come easy to some but for her it seemed as if she would never see it come to fruition. As a result, this left her struggling with feelings of self worth, depression, suicidal thoughts and some really dark moments in life. She’s doing well for herself as a leading advertising and digital designer but despite excelling in her career, life isn’t worth living if she can’t have the one thing she truly desires.

A botched date turned one night stand puts her in the crosshairs of Zahir, Kansas City’s most sought after extremely wealthy bachelor. Zahir had no idea that his future was sitting across from him at a bar that evening, but he was drawn to her like a bee to honey and was only missing a biscuit to sop her up! Not feeling worthy, Keva didn’t want to set herself up for yet another heartbreak and refused to take him seriously. At the very least, she was going to get her nut. Baby when she told that man “I’m not your girlfriend. Stop the love making and f*ck me like I requested.” I knew she was bout to bring this man to his knees! 🗣️AND DID!!! Mr. Harrison was not playing behind his woman.

Keva might’ve been the Casper equivalent to her friends and family because wasn’t nobody touching her when it came to ghosting but she was no match for Zahir and his resources! My guy said challenge accepted!!!

It was Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 for me 🏝️ 🍹 🛌 🛥️
It was Baus for me! 🥺💜🥺
It was “trust me?” for me because when she did 🥰😩🥰
It was the way Zahir’s family rallied behind Keva for me!
It was the vows for me 😭😭😭😭
It was the note 📝 left on Keva’s door because where tf did you think you were going 🤣
It was literally every single moment where Zahir put his money where his mouth was both literally and figuratively! 🐻 💐 🚘 ✈️ 🌃

Read the trigger warnings because there were some emotional parts to the story. The way this author put so many things into perspective and gave us the most beautiful, heartwarming story in the process was something I wish I could experience for the first time all over again. Add this one to your TBR today then read it right after! I cannot wait to see what’s next for this author!

Absolutely loved KEVA'S DREAM. Lots of surprising twists and turns in this captivating story.

At first I had a huge problem with Zahir's out of control possession. But Keva knew how to shut it down when she had enough,

Super interesting learning about the infertility challenges Keva faced. And how Zahir was willing to move heaven and earth, to give the woman he loved, the one thing that she wanted - a family.

However, this awesome story didn't stop there. That baby shower was super cray - cray as well as mind blowing!!!!!

This was really good! I love Keva! Zahir was something else! He knew exactly what he wanted and he went after it! Loved how he loved Keva!

That plane conversation when he asked her “why are you so mean to yourself?” 😩

4 stars because I felt like the ending was a bit rushed!

Keva x Baus

This was really good, especially for a debut novel. Character development was well done. I love the PCOS representation in this book. Keva was extremely loveable. She had a strong head on her shoulders, she was free. She does what she wants and keeps it moving, even through the hurt she harbors.
Baus is wealthy and his money spoke volume. After meeting Keva and had some fun with her, she left a lasting impression. So he had to have her. He relentlessly pursued her until he had her. I will say Keva was stubborn. But Baus was made for her.
Things took a big turn towards the end I wasn't expecting. But overall all a great read.

Sooooo Good!!

Wow! Bravo to the author 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 this is how you debut a novel! Baus was one of a kind! The way he was so calm with his unhinged antics was everything The man bought the girls apartment building just to move her out, and left her a note on the door that reminded her that home was with him 😂😂 he was literally the definition of " I will do whatever it takes to make you mine!" Keva had my heart breaking! I felt so sad for what she was going through. I loved the familial aspect of this book so much! The way that Baus loved on his family was just so beautiful to read, I loved everything minute of it!! His vows 😥❤❤ so beautifully written!!

New author alert..... I enjoyed this one. The story was a little sad, a lot uplifting, and the always present in a romance novel unscruptiables who can't read the room were in there too.

big Baus action😮‍💨

4.5⭐️ I’m a sucker for a billionaire who falls in love quickly! Brownie points when he is about that action for his woman, too! Whew the way Zahi Baus Harrison loved Keva out loud was so refreshing! I knew early on that I would love Baus and by the end he proved how far he would go to make all of Keva’s dreams come true. And baby they were nasty!🫢🥰This book has a lot of moving parts, and I will say, I think the pacing was a little off because things would happen and there wasn’t much detail prior to (ex: when Zuri was adopted), I truly thought Keva was having a dream. It wasn’t until later on when the details actually came out. So I would say I was a little confused at times and I think a few things could have been fleshed out more. But, I still really enjoyed the story! I knew something was off with BreNae, she was truly certifiable and deserved what happened to her! I kept thinking “what in the fatal attraction and delusion is going on here?!” 🤣🌚

I loved the awareness it brought towards women dealing with infertility and PCOS issues.

If you want an instalove, billionaire romance, with a twist, add this one to your tbr. Oh and our girl is a plus size baddie!😏

Cheers to a great debut release!

I liked that this book tackled PCOS. I found that the writer really delivered on this topic well. What was lackluster was the romance. I never connected to the couple. I struggled to see why they loved each other beyond lust. I really wanted to love their love. I also hated the use of the word ghosted; it was used so many times to express why the main female character faced her issues. I found it to be redundant and honestly unnecessary. Overall this was good but needed just a little more.

I picked this book up at the BRAE event and I am happy it was moved up the list thanks to being a bookclub read.

First I appreciate the way the author brought more awareness to PCOS because alot of women have this condition but it’s not spoken about especially not in books.

Now, Keva thought she was only getting a one night stand from Zahir but once he got one taste he knew it couldn’t end with just one night. Once he got to her again he was not letting her go. Was his methods an unorthodox? Yes, but for a good cause. I thought once Keva finally gave in, the connection between these two was undeniable and I liked how they were so in tune with each other and how he always wanted to protect her. I also liked how he did for her and she didn’t try to take advantage of anything he was offering.

The drama with Demise I felt was a little unnecessary and I don’t know how BriNae was ever considered her friend but glad she got what she deserved. Overall I enjoyed the book and I thought it was a nice debut novel.

MUST READ!!!! Do not hesitate on this book. I was sucked in deeply from chapter 1 and it was such a beautiful story to read. If I’m going to show you better than I can tell you was a person it was Baus. Baby his name speaks for itself. Baby Keva thought she was gonna blow that kind with one night of amazing sex and then disappear. TUH! She had another thing coming Baus wasn’t letting up off sis. I mean he stood besides her through everything her fears, PCOS, her doubts, all the barriers and even her ghosting. That man loved her with everything in him and it warmed my heart. They had incredible sex and I loved that for them both. I love how his family embraced her. That man stepped big for Keva and didn’t let anyone try her. Demise was not the person you wanted to meet you should just stick to Baus. When I say this book shows you so much and wraps you in. I started rhis book at 9am and finished it when I got home from work. This is a page turner. I’m glad BreNae got exactly what she deserved cause baby you have Baus f’d up. Thank God Harper was a true friend to Keva. Baus really came in and shitting everything down and brought her the type of love, joy, happiness and healing she never thought she’d experience. YES!!!!!!!! Miss MaMas you write the hell out of this book and I can’t see all the universe has in store for you.

Coming Out Swinging

Ms. Elle Madearis didn’t hold back with her debut release. It was everything I needed a man who wasn’t afraid to get want he wanted and love his woman loudly no matter how much she ran.

This was a beautiful book about trust, redemption, undeniable love, and having faith that your past doesn’t represent your future. I can’t wait to read what you have in store for us.

Keva is a woman battling PCOS and wanting a baby more than anything else. When another door closes, she goes to dinner with friends and it turns into a one night stand with an intriguing man at the bar. She thinks it's a one and done, but Zahir doesn't let go easily. Can she believe he really wants her, even with her body's limits?

I will be honest and say this book started off shaky for me. As a woman with PCOS, I was triggered in a way by the beginning--the medical piece giving Keva the impression pregnancy was a complete impossibility (which most of the time is not true. It's exponentially harder, but not completely impossible) and Keva's lack of a therapist, which pushed into the hopelessness of the first pages of the story. It felt off, and over dramatized. But it was Keva's experience and I pulled back so as not to project my own. Then my mind was in the right place. I do love that it explored so many of the things women with PCOS just don't talk about--the hair growth, the depression, the insomnia, the feelings of unattractiveness. It touched me to see it written so well and treated so delicately.

As far as the love story, Zahir was unhinged in the best of ways, lol. I was wary at first because his internal monologue spoke something about Keva not looking like women he usually dated. I was scared the language and his attitude would fall into the degrading, fetishizing, "my first fat girl" rhetoric, but it balanced after that. His goal was having Keva and he didn't waver. He started out calling her his wife, and showed up to prove it. He dressed for the job he wanted, lol. And even though she wasn't all the way on board, he didn't give up because he knew. Charming her mother was smart and also diabolical. I loved that part, lol. He made way for all of her misgivings and pulled them apart one by one. He paid attention to her, in every way that mattered. He respected her body's changes, and her need for patience while she adjusted. Having someone want you wholly and completely when you consider yourself broken is a whole new world and Keva had to ease into it. She was a runner, but he knew how to chase and how to push away her evasive nature. And they were very very sexy. Great job. I enjoyed it. And this author was new to me so I would absolutely read her again.

(4.5⭐️) First, 👏🏾👏🏾for a plus sized FMC! Keva put it on him so good had him ready to marry her after the first night lol. Zahir said “one night stand where? Not here, ma’am. You’re my wife.” He was top tier delusional/unhinged🤣But honestly I loved it and she needed it. She had a habit of shrinking, running from others, and hyper independence. He was gonna force a soft girl life on her no matter what. I know he was a lot to take at first, but GIRL LET THIS MAN TAKE CARE OF YOU! Once she relented they had such a beautiful love story. He DID NOT PLAY about her at all. The way he anticipated her needs, showed up for her & loved on her. And the way she finally leaned into him & trusted him to be what she needed. I loved it so much.

In addition to a great romance story there were some surprising twists and turns. Some deranged individuals and some other nefarious business. Also, I absolutely loved the in depth look at how PCOS & infertility doesn’t just affect the body, but the mind as well. Sometimes I feel like it’s skated over in books!

Love’s Healing Touch

Miss Elle, you came right on out swinging and you definitely hit a home run with this one!!!…Can’t wait to see what you bring next, because you set the bar high with this one!!!…
This was a very relatable book and love how Keva was showered with the love, admiration and respect that she deserved!!!…Broke my heart to see how her friend truly felt about her and she took it on the chin, bottled it up and let it rest in her soul!!!…
Brenae definitely wanted to keep Keva around so she can be the center of attn, not knowing there was a man close by that would appreciate a woman of Keva’s caliber!!!…
I love how the topics of PCOS, depression, friendships, love and family bridged this whole book!!!…
I hope there is more to come from this family and friends!!!…

Zahir the “Baus” man 👏🏽 who stood on BUSINESS about his woman, Keva !!! Im happy we got to see Keva be a mother to her babies and be a wife to her MAN. I loved the support she received from family & friends during her time of need . Now BreNae was very much delusional like Heather Headley when she was singing In my mind 😭. I truly enjoyed this story, its going in my reread pile .
I would love a Christmas story of her, Baus, and their little ones 🤎

Worth the wait!

This was a ride! Zahir was so crazy but in the best possible way! Keva’s struggles with fertility were so visceral and I really empathized with her. For that I really loved the representation and information regarding PCOS in this book. The love that Zahir displayed in this was so sweet and I’m so happy Keva got everything she deserved.

This gave me alll the feels. Idk why, but when Zahir is shown to have two different personas I was shocked. Idk why, don’t ask me. But I was truly expecting a regular schmegular billionaire, only for Mr Man to be very unhinged. & I loved it 🤦🏾‍♀️🤭

Anyway it was a nice surprise. As for Ms Keva, I’m glad she got her happy ending.

I like Ms Elle’s style of writing. Although, there were some areas I wish were smoother. Like, sometimes she’d transition into a whole other topic or conversation and I’d be wondering if I missed something. Anyway, all that to say, I’m already looking forward to that book she has coming out mid October

As soon as I saw the playlist, I knew this book was going to be a vibe. Lowkey, “Marry Me” by Rasheeda should be added to the playlist. That song perfectly sums up the first act of the book. “Keva’s Dream” is well-written and I really liked the set up of it. Each chapter was dual perspective instead of alternating POVs with each chapter.

I usually don’t care to read books where the FMC is insecure and self-deprecating so it took me a little while to find my groove with “Keva’s Dream”. Like I said, I knew this book would be a vibe because of the playlist so I wanted to stick it out.

Keva’s journey to self-love and self-acceptance was beautiful to read. And Shawn stepping in to help her and then reading about Keva achieving her dream made me want to shed a tear. The Keva we’re reading about halfway through the book is a great improvement to the Keva in the beginning.

In the beginning when Zahir told Keva they were getting married, I was like oh he crazy-crazy. Zahir won me over though. He went from crazy-crazy to passionate in my eyes lol. I grew to love the way he loved Keva and how he was able to break down her walls…literally and figuratively 😂 Listen. Zahir and Keva stayed getting it in. Didn’t matter the time or place. If one wanted the other, it was happening. I love that for them.

Another thing I really liked about “Keva’s Dream” was the friendships. Keva and Harper were so solid as well as Zahir, Pace and Alton. I liked Sharae and Tisha, too, but their friendship with Keva and Harper was newly established. They seem like good friends and a good time though.

Speaking of “friends”, BreNae putting Keva down and not believing her surprised the hell out of me. Witnessing BreNae’s decline surprised me even more. I wasn’t expecting that at all. When she got a POV chapter at the end of the book, initially I was like “wtf” but I came to appreciate it. Actually reading her thoughts allowed me to see just how out of touch with reality she was. I do want to know what happened with Stanley though.

Also, I was wondering how Keva wasn’t clocking what was going on with Zahir and his secret dealings because in the beginning of the book, she comes off as *very* observant. Towards the end when Keva revealed she actually knew more than she let on, I was impressed. She fooled me and Zahir lol.

I really enjoyed reading “Keva’s Dream” and will be checking out more of Elle Madearis’ catalog.

Keva's Dream

Keva's life has been marked by profound unfairness, as she faced challenges with infertility that deeply affected her emotional well-being. The pain of not being able to grant her ex the one thing he desired left her feeling shattered. However, when a charming man unexpectedly enters her life, she initially assumes it will be a fleeting encounter. To her surprise, this moment catalyzes a transformation she never anticipated, ultimately leading her towards the realization of her dreams.

I find this narrative incredibly compelling. It resonates with me on a personal level, prompting me to explore more of the author’s work. I dedicated an entire day and a half to delving into the author's catalog, discovering a story that reflects the struggles many women face, including those my mother experienced. It echoes the painful reality of being told that motherhood may not be in the cards, a sentiment that strikes at the heart of one’s deepest desires.

Zahir refuses to accept the word "no." He is determined to embrace the love of his life, create a family, and achieve everything he desires. This story is filled with unexpected twists and turns, featuring surprising conclusions and elements that keep readers on their toes. I found it thoroughly engaging; I read late into the night, unable to set the book aside. The narrative draws from a genuine place of struggle that many women endure, often in silence, as they shield their vulnerabilities from the world.

While the story concludes on a hopeful note, the main characters face numerous obstacles that they refuse to let deter them. Love, family, and friendship ultimately unite them, although Caela grapples with her own emotions and sacrifices for the sake of her best friend. Both characters discover love, albeit in forms they did not foresee. The storytelling is exceptionally well-crafted and detailed, weaving a beautiful and complex tale filled with unexpected developments, including elements of organized crime. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to reading more from this author, who I discovered through Tessa Stone, one of my favorites. I highly recommend exploring both of their works.

⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️

BreNae was very weird. Like the way the she just switched up on Keva so quick was frightening. It’s like she was obsessed with Keva and Zahir even though she never had a chance with him. Scratch that. The bitch was straight up crazy.

Zahir was my kind of delusional. He said “my wife, my wife, my wife”. 😂😂 He was literally EVERYTHING. He catered to Keva and made sure she had everything she ever needed and wanted. He quite literally made her dreams come true.

Keva was self sabotaging. She was ready to leave Zahir and never speak to him again because her EX best friend said that she and Zahir used to sleep together. The same EX best friend that didn’t even believe that she was with Zahir in the first place. She didn’t try to get any explanations. She didn’t try to get any evidence. She was just gonna walk out the door because somebody told her that.

Harper and Shawn 🥹🤭

Jasmine was just delusional and was trying to be on her “if I can’t have you no one can” tip. That backfired to say the least 😂

I liked that Keva’s journey with PCOS wasn’t romanticized. It showcased all the physical and emotional turmoil that millions of women have to face every single day. I think that is important representation to showcase.

Although I understood Keva’s reluctance to get close with her baby, it felt selfish of her to deny that privilege to Zahir, when it was his first child. Imagine if the pregnancy were to go full term; he would’ve spent that whole nine months, not being able to connect with the baby. It also felt selfish of her to not want to see the doctor especially if she was worried the baby wasn’t gonna make it; because if there was something really wrong, she would’ve had to hear that from the doctor.

A Dream Come True 💙

Who knew a one night stand could turn into a dream come true?

Keva is a 33 year old who wants true love and a baby. The problem is, she is battling PCOS and it leaves her believing that God will never grant her the desires of her heart. That’s until she meets billionaire Zahir Harrison who was smitten with her the first night he laid eyes on her. Though resistant to his unconventional advances, Keva and Zahir’s love story blossoms and he showers her with the love and affection, patience and care that she deserves.

I like how the author approached this sensitive topic concerning Black women and their fertility. She painted a realistic picture of the messy feelings of navigating what it’s like to watch everyone have something that you want yet feel like you won’t receive. Zahir’s character was very bossy lol but he handled Keva and her mood swings the best way he knew how with patience and grace.

The only thing I wished could have been done better was expounding on certain parts of the plot, like Chapter 14. It jumped way too fast and left some holes. I also wish we would have gotten more insight on Zahir’s “other side” and how he got involved in that life.

All in all, this read was entertaining and I encourage y’all to read it.

This was so good in the beginning! While I hate insta-love Romance books, it was juicy and it worked. I was on my toes as I didn’t know if Zhair would be a “you” (the series) type guy or if he indeed genuinely loved her. The controlling aspect was off-putting but in a good way to keep the reader going. I refused to read the synopsis of the book; therefore, I was not aware for reason.

Now - at 60% it totally plummeted. It’s like the writer went whacky. It was choppy and hard to keep up with. It seemed as if a different write composed the second half. Zhair’s alter ego was silly and added no real value to the book. It wasn’t necessary at all and honestly went nowhere. There were also lots of characters introduced that help no value. At points, I was completely confused. It seemed rushed near the end, but if the author stayed focus on the initial theme, she could have taken her time to develop the story or leave room for a part two. I was quite disappointed in the second half because the first was a page turner and was sooo good.

I read that this was the authors first book! I gave it another star for that reason. I can imagine it being a bit tough to gain your footing as a writer. I would definitely read another book if she writes one! I think she’ll get better with time!

Kevas Dream- Elle Madearis

Rating:

Thoughts: I loved that this touched basis on two things that can plague a woman- PCOS and depression. I have not read a book where it addresses PCOS and all of the things that can result from it. Weight gain, insomnia, unruly hair growth, and infertility. The key points that are written in this story shed so much light and awareness to these things. I loved this. Educate people with a story so that all who may not understand can have some kind of insight as to how one person may live with this type of issue.

I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but my guy Zahir bought the apartment building Keva lived in, changed the locks, and left a note saying your home is in the penthouse with him. Yep you read it. That’s the kind of connection they had.

There were erotic scenes, betrayal of friends and foes, some laughter with tears. This story evoked quite a bit of emotions out of me. I felt it all. This story surprised me. It was nothing of what I expected. I thought it would be kind of fluffy but I was educated and entertained. This was an excellent combination. I’m looking forward to more from this author.

Debut Author!

This was a REALLY GOOD story. The storyline flowed very well together and it had a little bit of everything in it. It was about a topic I knew nothing about PCOS and it affects women all over the world. Poor Keva, so much had happened to her over the years that she no longer had confidence, faith and her self esteem was very much non existing. That was until she met Mr Zahir Harrison. He had all of the BDE, confidence, respect, intelligence and more BDE. Lawd have mercy, this man here made me wish I was in Keva’s position. A one night stand made this man want to risk it all. He just knew that one night was not enough for him and he did EVERYTHING to make Keva see that. The way Zahir was loving on Keva was special, he wanted to protect her from everyone and their nasty judgment and he didn’t mind putting ppl in their place about it either. Keva’s condition PCOS was very difficult for her to conceive a child and that weighed in her a lot, but Zahir did not care he was going to stand by her because he genuinely loves her. I don’t want to say anymore just read it and rate it. Loved it!

Dreams Really Do Come True!!

Zahir put the full court press on Keva. I'm talking about all gas no breaks. He can't seem to get her off his mind. Keva is thinking she wasn't going to ever see him again, they both got what they wanted from each other. Shawn told him about her condition. Shawn told him she's going to need a special man to understand and over look. So Zahir spoiled her in every way and said that she's going to be his wife. Their mama was disappointed with them. BreNae is a hater and a delusional jealous friend. Mrs.Samuels even told her. Zahir even spoiled her mama. BreNae is so jealous of her she destroyed what mattered to her the most and the other women. She called Harper stupid. Keva knew who she was going to marry, she said every time he comes back he seems like a different person. Shawn was going to strangle BreNae to death. Zahir told Shawn thank you because she was going to kill his wife. I like India because she goes hard for her family. Demise, Pace and Alton are something else when they get together. Keva didn't want to believe she was pregnant. Shawn and Zahir got their families

Kinda Slow But Good Story

Ok so for a debut novel it was good and the love displayed between the couple was beautiful. I wish some things would’ve been explained more like BreNae and Demise. I don’t know the struggles of conceiving but Lawd Keva not enjoying the moment irk my nerves bad like just be thankful right now. Unpopular opinion I don’t feel like Harper was a best friend but more of an associate cause sis had times where I side eye her frfr 😒. I’m glad Shawn redeemed himself cause nobody asked him or Harper to tiptoe around Keva feelings 🙄. Baus was the definition of love 🥰 that man was EVERYTHING and more. My gosh I loved him so much and clearly everyone else cause he had women he never slept with delusional asf. Pace and Alton were cool as well as their wives. I wanna know more about India and in her book I can do without Shawn or Harper. I guess God just be showing out cause them last few sentences had me wanting to know Baus response 🤗. This book did great in teaching me some things about PCOS and overall it was a good book.

The Book Was EVERYTHING!

After reading one of the authors newer books recently, I started at the beginning of her catalog and let me tell you, this book was EVERYTHING! I can't believe this is her debut. Seriously, this PCOS storyline was so important, speaking as someone who this subject matter hits closely. And although I didn't know how seriously to take Zahir at first, as the chapters progressed, I learned to love his sometimes kinda crazy self. Don't get me wrong, some of his antics were certifiable, but in the book world those antics earn him a Book Bae title. Keva was my type of FMC. She was dealt a tough hand, and although it bruised her quite a bit, it didn't break her, and ultimately, God gave her triple for her trouble. I liked so much about these characters and this story, and again, I am so shocked that this is the authors first book! There were several editing and grammatical errors, but I am still giving it 5 stars because she covered every base in this story, and I really enjoyed it!

Loved This Book

This was a really good story. Did not know anything about PCOS prior to this book. I love when authors educate you to real life situations that affect our lives. This will make me more careful when in conversations with women about pregnancy and what appears to be barren situations. I love that Zahir knew immediately that Keva was his soulmate and he perused her with everything. Keva’s trauma did get a little exhausting but was understandable in a real life scenario. It would be wonderful if all women who have endured Keva’s trauma had a man like Zahir. Now my only negative for this book was there were times this author made statements that didn’t connect with the conversation at the time. Also, finding out who India was to Zahir at the end was weird. None of this took away from me enjoying this book.
