And as this series of powerful reflections on the meaning of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ abundantly demonstrates, this focus on the death of our Lord is a biblical one.” —Michael A. G. Azad Haykin, professor of church history, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary “Trustworthy and tender, passionate and pleading, earnest and evangelical. . . takes hold of your mind and soul and draws you to the foot of the cross. This is evangelical pleading at its very best. Captivating and compelling, vintage Thomas. —Derek W. H. This is a fantastic little book. Easy to understand deep spiritual truths as it addresses topics like imputation, substitution, propitiation, etc. in concise chapters.
Decent little devotional book about the various aspects of the crucifixion.
The chapter on satisfaction could be especially helpful for a skeptic or new Christian making sense of the cross and God's love. The penultimate titled "Foundation" was a nice summary of covenant theology and might serve well as an introduction to Reformed hermeneutics and typology.
However, no believer (regardless of age or season) can possibly reflect enough on Christ's crucifixion and what it means to be a sinner saved by grace.
Excellent. Vintage Geoff Thomas, as Derek Thomas said in his endorsement. Simple and clear yet so profound. Similar writing style to Sproul and Ferguson. Compelling. Applied so well. Absolutely first class. Highly recommended to all!
