Rescuing his black-sheep younger brother from yet another mess is nothing new for former SEAL and current Redemption Creek operative Mason Ortiz. Being forced to team up with a brilliant––and seriously controlling––FBI agent absolutely is, though. Mason will do anything to get his brother out of danger, but Special Agent Avery Ellis is only going to compromise this mission, in every way possible. Just when Mason thinks his brother and Avery are safe, the game changes. A new enemy emerge, an entity powerful enough to make them all disappear, Mason’s Redemption Creek team included.
Redemption Where ranches run forever, granite peaks touch the sky, and wounded hearts seek home. Betrayed by their superiors, the former soldiers of Black-out Squadron are determined to carve out new lives. Their plan? Seek justice for folks who can’t fight their own battles.

Great read that will keep your attention. Mason keeps rescuing his younger brother Paul who has a penchant for getting into trouble. Mason and Avery, a FBI agent, meet and clash when Paul's new job for a company she's investigating turns out to be not so squeaky clean. There is resentment between Mason and Paul due to Paul getting into trouble while they grew up, yet the tension between them starts thawing out. Silent Sins is a fast-paced suspense with twists and turns, betrayal, and a lot of action. You will be riveted to this story.
A great book of danger and suspense with a bit of romance on the side. Mason Ortiz has a brother that tends to stay in trouble more often than not so when he receives a call that Paul is in trouble once again there is only one thing to do. Paul Ortiz has a decent job for a change. He has even been promoted but then he discovers there is more to the job than he counted on when he started work. Meanwhile, FBI Special Agent Avery Ellis has discovered a string of deaths related to an informant that she has discovered recently died. When her boss tells her about the informant and closes her case, she is instructed to take a vacation. When she meets up with the Ortiz brothers, Mason and Avery have no trust of each other. They clash immediately but reluctantly agree to work with each other. Be sure to read this exciting episode of the Redemption Creek series.
Silent Sins is another strong Christian Romance/Suspense story in Edie James’s Redemption Creek Romantic Suspense series. Former SEAL Mason Ortiz has been his younger brother Paul’s keeper for most of their lives. When Mason gets a message from Paul, he grits his teeth and once again moves in to help the seeming hapless black sheep. But what Mason stumbles into is a massive black market pharmaceutical operation and a dangerous foe. He also comes nose to nose with Special Agent Avery Ellis who will stop at nothing to bring the operation down. Including putting Paul at risk.
The blend of suspense, action, and romance in this clean, Christian Contemporary Fiction book is well done with believable characters and a solid plot.
I recommend Silent Sins. It is a quick page turner.
Brothers Mason and Paul have a relationship that needs to be closer and mended. Special FBI Agent Avery is way in over her head on a mission that her boss at The FBI has told her to back off. Instead of taking the vacation time her boss Ryan told her too take, Avery goes solo to try to "crack" the case. Paul, Mason's younger brother works at the company Avery is investigating. When Mason receives a call from his younger brother for help, he immediately goes to help with Special Agent Avery at his side. This is an intriguing and interesting novel with family dynamics that only Divine Help can resolve. Read this fourth standalone novel in The Redemption Creek Series and see the progress of the team!
This book left me with so much hope at the end! In today's struggles and negativity we need more stories filled with the promise of hope! Edie James achieved that in spades! Mason and Avery had to fight the darkness of their pasts but also that which they face in their everyday lives! But together with blood and choice family their is always hope! The suspense in this action-packed book will keep you riveted! This is a must-read-cannot-afford-to-miss-story!
5 stars I purchased a copy of the Christian Romantic Suspense Silent Sins by Edie James, and this review was given freely. Drama, suspense, attraction, some violence, and happy endings. The joy of Kellen’s adoption is merged with the story of Mason’s younger brother getting caught in a drug trafficking scheme where FBI Agents go rogue and the stoic former military sniper/chef Mason, and his team join with the loner, Special Agent Avery Ellis to stop the ring.
This great story is full of suspense and sizzle. “By the book” Avery and “do whatever it takes” Mason send sparks flying as soon s they meet but it’s anything but smooth sailing. Grab your popcorn and settle in for a terrific read.
I love this team. It’s not always great the way something’s turn out, but they really root for each other if it is meant to be. If it is not meant to be, you better get your back side out fast. Need to start reading now.
I really enjoyed getting to know the character, Mason. He is another intriguing member of the Redemption Creek team. The banter between him and his younger brother is fun but the banter between him and Avery is even more entertaining.
I love Edie James’s books! This has been a great series and I have enjoyed each and every one of these books. I find that as I finish one, I am more than ready to dive into the next, so bring it on!!
