For years, Delia Delatou has been searching for a project to throw all of her restless energy into. When an opportunity arises in the form of a new business venture—a distillery on Old Mission Peninsula—Delia knows she’s found it. The only problem? She has to nail this meeting with her potential partner first. Owen Lawless is sexy and intelligent, a lethal combination, and Delia knows she’s far from his ideal candidate.
Owen Lawless has been a caretaker and leader all his life—both as the oldest of seven siblings and as a former star NFL quarterback. But as much as he hates to admit it, he needs help to make his next passion project a reality. What he doesn’t need is Delia Delatou, with her whiskey eyes and perfect everything, barging in and wrecking all of his plans.
Despite an unspoken hands-off rule, the more time they spend working together, the more they both start to realize their feelings for each other go far beyond the simple business partnership they agreed to.
Giving in and mixing business with pleasure might end up being the latest in a string of poor decisions…or the best one they’ve ever made.
Amanda Chaperon realized her passion for books and writing at a young age. Growing up, she was rarely found without a book in her hands, a hobby she carried into adulthood and which ultimately gave her the confidence to begin writing her own stories. She writes what she loves to read: heartfelt, passionate characters, lots of steam, and always a happily ever after.
Amanda lives in Michigan with her Golden Retriever, Gryffin. When she’s not writing or reading, she can be found hanging out with her niece and nephew or binge watching her favorite TV shows.
Small town, found family, slow burn & a retired NFL QB? Sign me up! I really enjoyed this book from the premise of opening a distillery to Owen & Delia partnering up to their evolving relationship from business partners to friends to lovers. These characters and their growth was written so well! From Owen’s grief to Delia finding her place. Together they were a great force. Everything about this book was so enjoyable to read!
🥃 Age gap (10 years) 🏈 Slow burn 🥃 Healing from past pain together 🏈 Business partners to friends to lovers 🥃 Sexy retired NFL QB 🏈 Small town 🥃 Found family
The Delatou sisters are back, this time with wildcard Delia and her inner chaos demons. Her sister Amara, who we met in book 1, puts baby sis directly into the path of one broody entrepreneur.
Owen Lawless who’s promising NFL career ended with a shoulder injury now spends his days successfully running three businesses and hoping to break ground on a fourth.
He can’t stand who he thinks Delia is but things are about to change…and in a big way.
This book was a testament to just how resilience humans can be in the right company…with the right one. The independence of Lia being the middle child, the pressure Owen put on himself as the oldest of 7, the growth of these two throughout the book together into something greater together than apart was perfect.
The Dicktionary was a nice touch too 😏
𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞: “Despite being someone who made a life and career out of being cautious, I welcomed the recklessness of this moment with open arms. With her, I wanted to be wild.”
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Dare I say this is my new favorite Amanda Chaperon book? Owen and Delia are everything to me.
Owen Lawless is a retired NFL quarterback who now has opened up his own business but is wanting to expand more and build a distillery on a piece of land that would require him to go into business with his ex’s sister, Delia Delatou. The younger, forbidden sister.
These two begin working together and it starts out a little rough but the tension starts to fly and it becomes too strong for them to ignore anymore. Owen is a little broken but somehow Delia starts to make his light shine a little brighter as they grow closer.
This series is so freaking good and this second book did not disappoint. Y’all absolutely need to read this one
Tropes -ex’s sister -retired NFL quarterback X marketing Queen -workplace romance -age gap
Thank you Luna Literary Management and Amanda Chaperon for providing the ARC.
I am a sucker for small town romances so I had to pick this one up. Overall it wasn't a completely bad book, I was entertained for most of it BUT it wasn't a really good book either. It started out good but it started dragging out in the second half. It would benefit from another round of editing mostly for repetitiveness of certain phrases. The amount of times I had to read "captured my mouth/lips" in the second half of this book is crazy. Can they just kiss like normal people?!
Aside from that problem but continuing with the language used we seriously don't need every look shared between main characters to be described and especially not in metaphors. "ocean depths", "ocean in the throes of a hurricane", "his ocean eyes twinkling", "I held those whiskey depths with my ocean ones" WE GET IT HIS EYES ARE FREAKING BLUE. 🙄
My main gripe with this is the lack of depth in main characters. They had traumatic experiences that had a big influence on them and even though they were brought up a few times I still felt like it wasn't emotional enough or significant enough. We were more so told about their feelings then shown. There wasn't actually any character growth. With Owen especially, his dad died when he was a teenager and now he is 37 year old that has never been to his fathers grave, has therapy that does not happen on page and he talks about his brothers, sisters and mom and how he misses them but we never witness him call, text, visit or have any sort of interaction with them. He actually lies toward the end about inviting them to the opening of his business and the reader is never given a reason why as he seemingly does not have a reason for doing that. When on topic of brothers and sisters both main characters regularly called them big bro, little sis and let me tell you as someone with a brother never in my life have I referred to him as little bro.
Owen also has really cringe tattoos including but not limited to his last name across his whole forearm in big ass letters. 💀
When it comes to the romantic relationship I wouldn't call it a slow burn per say, yes they do get together at around 60% in but they were kind of confessing their feelings for each other way before that. I liked that they became friends first and then lovers but the way that they became lovers and how their relationship progressed wasn't believable and it was completely contradictory. Owen was waiting for her to come to terms with the possibility of their relationship because "he didn't want just a fling he wanted her body, mind and soul" and then their relationship starts with sex, sex that lasts from chapter 25 to chapter 30 might I add. They went on one date in which they ended up having sex in the middle of it. They would say we should go slow and two pages later the I love yous were exchanged.
In conclusion the book ultimately fell short. The potential for a heartfelt, slow-burn romance was overshadowed by a rushed relationship development that felt unconvincing. While the initial premise and setting were promising, the execution left much to be desired. If the book undergoes more thorough editing and a deeper exploration of character emotions and growth, it could become the charming story it aspires to be.
I will immediately be going back to read book one because I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Delia and Owen hooked me from the beginning. And let’s face it, a retired NFL player in a small town was always going to be a yes for me.

I loved the chemistry and tension coming from Delia and Own from the moment they agreed to work together to make Owen’s new distillery a success. What started as a grudging partnership turned into so much more, and watching Owen break down a few of Delia’s walls was so worth the wait of this slow burn.
Because when it burns… whew child 🥵
I couldn’t put this one down, and I really love how Amanda writes these characters that have so much depth and spark! The way she wrote Owen’s grief and his journey, well it hit me in all the feels. I absolutely cannot wait for more!
I really enjoyed this! I loved Wine or Lose & I was so excited to get back into this world and revisit these characters.
Amanda truly writes the best characters. Their emotions and feelings are always jumping off the page and just so connectable to the reader.
Owen’s grief was handled so well. He was truly the ultimate book boyfriend - he adored Delia and was so respectful and open about his emotions and feelings.
Delia wasn’t my favorite character the first 20% of the book but it was almost like you could feel her walls break down with Owen and that made her more likable.
Slowburn, business partner/workplace romance 🔥
my only issue is the build up for the slow burn felt a bit awkward in parts - certain scenes felt like they abruptly ended. Sometimes they built that tension but sometimes they felt a bit just awkward and unnecessary because no tension was built / no action was made!
Overall i really enjoyed it and can’t wait to revisit the world again for Amanda’s next book!
Once again I love this universe that Amanda’s created! The Delatou sisters are absolutely wonderful! This was such a good slow burn with so much banter and chemistry to keep us holding on!
Owen and Delia were MAGIC. They were SO SOFT for each other?? And they were GOOD together!! Once the tension broke and they were IN IT?? They were never looking back and it was so good?? I loved how much Owen respected Delia and trusted her. I loved how Delia was trying so hard to find her place, especially she was feeling lost in the shuffle of her sisters.
I thought Owen’s grief was written really well. He was still struggling so much, and being able to actually talk to Delia about it was so helpful for him.
I also love all the connections!! Berk and Brent! And LEXIE AND MITCH! They are my favorites. Amanda is rereleasing Berk and Brent’s book SOON! And I can’t wait to read their new story and go back to the beginning of the Amanda-verse!!
Thanks so much to Amanda Chaperon and Luna Literary Management for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
"I've made some pour decisions in my life. But letting you into it was not one of them." Always a huge fan of Amanda's books, and I was really pumped to receive this ARC, and go back to Apple Bloossm Bay! Pour Decisions is book two in the Love on the Vine series. Owen Lawless is a retired pro football player turned business man, who reluctantly partners with Delia Delatou, a marketing powerhouse, who was looking for her next big project. Together they bring Owen's dream distillery to life. I love me a good slow burn small town romance - especially when it takes place in my favourite state! Oh and it's very spicy, if you don't like the spice, the author included an index so you can skip it if you'd like. Ps I thoroughly enjoy that characters from her other series are tied in with this series as well! I'm looking forward to reading Perfect Pairing, the next book in the series. Pour Decisions is currently available on KU, go get your copy!
Review time! I want to first of thank Amanda and her management team for allowing me to read the ARC of Pour Decisions!

This book was nothing short of amazing. The small town, slow burn romance had me itching to keep reading!! The banter between Owen and Delia was a 12/10, and her sisters are just the BEST!!
Owen and Delia find ways to heal their pasts together and it really brings the whole story together, we also get to see a lot of their business journey which was super exciting!
This book releases on July 18 and you’re not gonna wanna skip over this read! 📚

Owen Lawless is a retired QB and Delia Delatou is a business woman who is a boss woman. I really like the way her character was written.❤️❤️❤️
I loved how each of the characters were given equal space and how their inner turmoil was written in the book.✅✅
Owen is an imperfectly perfect man. Delia's urge to take things slow with him was completely, utterly realistic. 🫶🏻🫶🏻
I love slow burn as it's like you are hanging on a thread and waiting for it to snap.
This book was engaging and the way the emotional aspect was poured, it was amazing. Every now and then a step was taken to the destination of a strong love and relationship. It was an incredible read.
Go and dive into the world of Owen and Delia. Their romance is a slow burn but trust me you guys will feel it to be realistic. You can connect with it easily..
First and foremost, the dicktionary had me LOLing. I really loved Delia and her chaos demon. 🤭 This is a very slow burn - the first kiss isn't until 70% - but it's worth it! The pressure Owen put on himself had me wanting to shake him, but Lia peeled back his layers, and I loved reading about them falling.
I am dying for Ella's story, and I'm kind of hoping one of the Lawless boys helps her ditch that idiot bf. 🤞🤞

Absolutely loved this book! It was a slow burn with age gap and 2 wildly successful main characters. The family dynamic and growth encouragement and collaboration flowed so well! Loved the family banter.
Being a slow burn almost felt necessary but when the fire sparks …. 6 wonderful chapters and a bonus one of course…. I was definitely cheering for them! Loved their HEA!
Amazing setting on a distillery in a small town! Great read!!
(Note… I didn’t read the 1st book and loved this one all the same… I am curious though!)
Owen and Delia’s story is so incredibly sweet! The slow burn was really well written, and I enjoyed their playful banter and somewhat forbidden romance. Bonus points to Owen for being a retired NFL quarterback and attending my alma mater. Here’s to hoping one day I’ll be so casually rich that I can open my own distillery. Love on the Vine is such a cute, romantic series and I can’t wait to continue it! Highly, highly recommend!
Owen a retired NFL player turned business owner, and Delia a DIY queen and social media marketing whiz work together as business partners in opening a distillery. At first these two bump heads and don’t really see eye to eye. Of course things take a turn and they start to appreciate one another and really work together in this process. Owen becomes obsessed with Delia even tho he feels he a shouldn’t be, he quickly realizes she’s the girl for him and even though Delia does develop feelings for him as well, she’s a little more cautious when it comes to a relationship. Once these two on are the same level, the heat and love between them kicks into high gear and they never come down. I fell in love with these characters so deeply and I loved every bit of their story. This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to read more!
Great read! I loved Owen and Delia. Their banter was so good and they were just so good together. I loved his nickname for her. All of the characters in this story were great. This is a slow burn and it is so well done. Definitely a good read.
It was literally the cutest romance I’ve ever read. Not to mention smexy, the smut was absolutely insane. I loved Owen and Delia so much and they fit eachother perfectly, this was my first Amanda Chaperon book and I am absolutely hooked, such a fun fun read
ARC review. Pour Decisions This is my honest to goodness review on this book, despite being an ARC reviewer. 🩵 This book. 🥹 I loved every minute of it. Owen and Delia are perfect together. I couldn't get enough. Owen's grief had me crying. I lost a parent on Christmas Eve. So that hit me hard. I cried like a big baby. I love all of the Delatou sisters. The banter in this book was perfect. I literally have no downfall on this book. Nothing. The epilogue was most definitely my favorite chapter. Go read this book. It comes out July 18th.
3.5⭐️ This is a cute small town/slow burn romance! Owen wants to expand his business by building a distillery on a piece of land that requires him to work work with Delia, his ex girlfriend’s sister. The tension between the two was definitely on point and the slow burn was definitely burning once we got to it! With that said, I had a hard time connecting with the characters and this wasn’t my favorite and found myself wanting to skip a lot of the inner dialogue. Overall it was cute, just wasn’t my cup of tea!

WOW, I rated another book by Amanda 5 stars? Honestly, no one should be shocked at this point.
I’m going to start this off by saying that I DESPISE slow burns. But, leave it to Amanda to make me obsess over one. Her writing and attention to detail always draw me in. And of course her relatable and phenomenal characters. If you’ve read any of her books, you know that she POURS (pun definitely intended) her heart into her stories. She has a way of making you want to root for her characters and wishing you were their best friend. In my opinion, the slow burn was done realistically. AND ONCE THE SPICE HITS…IT F*CKING HITS 🥵.
Now let’s talk about the stunning and very talented, Delia. She’s the middle Delatou sister. Not only is she absolutely brilliant, she is also not afraid to go after what she wants. Her level of confidence is something that I wish I had. She’s extremely driven and determined to reach her goals and dreams. And the girl knows her worth. We love a strong FMC. I truly believe that a lot of people will easily relate to her.
OWEN LAWLESS ENTERS THE CHAT. 🥵 He’s dreamy, sexy, smart, and protective. C’mon! Who doesn’t love a protective MMC? Oh and did I mention that he always wears his hat backwards? Oh yeah, I know I have your attention now. My favorite thing about him is that he opens up to Delia more than he ever has with anyone. He’s perfect in every single way.
These two were without a doubt meant for each other. Their chemistry and who they are both individually and together make this slow burn entirely worth the wait.
Characters from her other books pop up too! As always, I loved seeing them again! 😭
Lastly, as someone who has lost a parent, the depiction of Owen’s grief was done extremely well.
Pour Decisions will be available on kindle unlimited on pub day! You can also find all of her published books on KU as well!
As a fellow Michigander, I absolutely love reading books set in my home state. Amanda does such a fantastic job describing the different regions of our state. In Pour Decisions, we are in beautiful Old Mission Peninsula. I also want to give credit to the author for the hilarious and super thoughtful Dicktionary for those who prefer a more closed door type of story. It was so clever and made me laugh out loud big time!
The main characters in this installment are Delia Delatou and Owen Lawless. The chemistry between them is off the charts from the very beginning (although their technical first meeting is not in this book 😉). One thing I really liked here was the age gap - and I do not normally go for that. But as a person who can …relate… to Owen’s age, I resonated with his mindset of knowing what he wanted out of a relationship and his life - and not messing around once he found that. Delia is successful but at the same time a little aimless. She has so many amazing ideas and does just fine on her own, but with the respect and backing of Owen, she really comes into her own and thrives! Of course, these two have individual growth in spades, but their partnership is a whole journey. They compliment each other so well! And did I mention the chemistry? The tension? This is a slow burn, but it is not slow going; it builds and builds with perfect alchemy. When we do get to the 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️, prepare yourself with a fan, because it is HOT! 🥵
Another element to the story is the grief that Owen feels over an incredible loss in his life and how he deals with it (having not really yet at the time of this book). I know grief all too well and I was incredibly grateful for how she described and handled everything related to his loss. It’s always interesting to get another perspective and in this case, it was incredibly helpful (for me) to read someone else’s feelings on this specific topic.
Lastly, I want to mention if you’ve read previous books of Amanda’s, you will be very pleasantly surprised by the many connections in Pour Decisions! These were some of my favorite moments.
Thank you to the author, Amanda Chaperon, and Luna Literary Management for the opportunity to read and review the eARC of Pour Decisions. ♥️ These opinions are my own.
For years, Delia Delatou has been searching for something meaningful to pour her restless energy into. When the chance to open a distillery on Old Mission Peninsula arises, she knows she’s finally found her project. The only catch? She needs to impress her potential business partner first. Enter Owen Lawless—sexy, intelligent, and disciplined to a fault. From their very first meeting, it’s clear Delia isn’t exactly the kind of partner he had in mind.
Owen has spent his life being the caretaker and leader—first as the oldest of seven siblings, then as a former NFL quarterback whose career was cut short after an injury. Now he’s determined to make his next venture a success, but the last thing he expects is for Delia Delatou, with her whiskey eyes and stubborn spark, to upend his plans. Despite their attempts to stay professional, the tension between them builds with every page, before it turns personal
Having already read Owen’s brother’s stories in the Dusk Valley series and the previous books in the Wine or Lose universe, I was so excited to finally dive into Owen’s story—and this book did not disappoint. I’m a sucker for a good slow burn romance, and this one was deliciously paced. The tension, the longing, the unspoken chemistry—it all built up perfectly until those final ten chapters when they finally gave in to their feelings. I was practically screaming for them to just do something already!
Owen completely stole my heart. He’s patient, kind, and never rushes Delia into anything, giving her space and confidence to start their relationship on her own terms. I also loved seeing the depth of his character—how he stepped into the parental role for his younger siblings after his father’s death, and how he quietly struggled to find purpose after his football career ended.
And Delia—what a powerhouse. She’s strong, opinionated, and never afraid to voice her ideas, even when people doubt her. I admired how she stood her ground and refused to be defined by anyone’s expectations.
Tropes: 💕Slow Burn 💕Small Town 💕Open Door Spice 💕He Falls First 💕Age Gap 💕No Third Act Breakup
Owen Lawless is a retired QB who has started a few businesses after retiring. His next project — a distillery. After contacting friends, Owen meets with Delia Delatou, the last person he thought he’d partner with. After realizing he can’t make this dream a reality without Delia, Owen signs on and they work together to make build a distillery from the group up.
Delia has made a name for herself by creating content on social media doing DIY projects, especially with her home renovations. She also helps the local business by creating content for their accounts as well. Along with her family owning a winery, Delia has also been looking for a project and a distillery sounds like a great idea!
Owen realizes quickly that Delia isn’t the person he thought she was and he starts to realize being professional around her may be harder than he thought. Delia realizes she can trust Owen and he may not be the jerk she thought he was during a meeting that went terribly wrong.
💭My Thoughts💭
This was a great read. I really enjoyed reading the backstory of both main characters and how it has shaped who they are. Owen shares why he takes on the responsibility of caring for others. Delia shares her past experiences early on in the book and it gives a better insight as to why she is so hesitant with Owen. I loved that Owen fell for her first and that he was willing to admit that he needed her. Although we do get to see their strong sides, we also get to see that each MC is vulnerable. This was definitely a slow burn and I enjoyed reading how each felt and I could feel the tension between Delia and Owen. There is quite a bit of spice in this book, so if you enjoy open door spice, you’ll enjoy this book! I would definitely recommend!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Thank you Luna Literary Management and Amanda Chaperon for the arc.
“I think I was just coasting before you showed up. And then you came in with your chaos and your demands and all that energy and…it was impossible not to bask in your light, Whiskey. To look at you, to be near you, and not want to be more than just a shell of a man. This thing between us…I think it brought me back to life.” — Rating: ✨✨✨✨ Smut: 🌶️🌶️ — This is the first book I read by Amanda Chaperon and I found it had the perfect balance of slow burn and plot intrigue!
Delia Delatou is a business woman who is unapologetically herself and trying to find where/how she fits into the world. Owen is a retired football player turned business man who people pleases & takes care of the people around him without thinking of himself. These two could not have been more perfect for each other 🥹
Amanda’s dual pov writing is a great example of why I ADORE having both POVs in a romance read. Where you might think the love interest is aloof at the beginning, getting to read their POV shows you all of their inner workings and the turmoil they’re actually feeling. I ate that right up with Owen’s point of views. I loved that his chapters were quite evenly spaced out with Delia’s. He also goes to therapy & likes being called daddy so, he’s literally perfect 🤷♀️
This story also had a good amount of emotional depth to it. It was interesting to see the way Delia’s trauma manifested in her relationship with Owen. Her wanting to take things slow felt realistic and was so well explained.
Lastly, I’m not sure if it was a me problem since I didn’t read book 1 yet but I sometimes had trouble keeping up with all the side characters😅
Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing which Delatou sister gets a book next👀 I’m so ready for Ella to have her moment!
If you like: 🍷 Business partners to lovers 🍷 Slow burn 🍷 He falls first & harder 🍷 He gives her cute nicknames 🍷 Small town vibes
Then this one is for you♥️
Thank you for trusting me with your work, Amanda Chaperon!
ARC Book Review: "Pour Decisions" by Amanda Chaperon
Amanda Chaperon's "Pour Decisions" is a captivating romance that blends heartfelt emotions with sizzling chemistry, wrapped in the world of entrepreneurial ambition and personal growth.
Delia Delatou is a woman searching for her place in the world, brimming with ideas but feeling adrift amidst her sisters' successes. When she encounters Owen Lawless, a former NFL star grappling with profound grief, sparks fly despite their initial business-focused meeting. Owen, older and more settled in his desires, finds himself drawn to Delia's vitality and ideas, igniting a partnership that goes beyond business.
Chaperon masterfully crafts a tale where Delia and Owen's connection deepens as they navigate their joint venture and confront personal demons. Their relationship evolves from professional respect to a passionate partnership, each bringing out the best in the other. Delia thrives under Owen's support and validation, while Owen finds solace and healing in Delia's understanding of his grief.
The novel's strength lies in its portrayal of nuanced characters and their journey towards love and self-discovery. Delia's ambition and Owen's emotional depth complement each other beautifully, creating a slow-burn romance that simmers with tension and eventual fiery passion. Chaperon's exploration of grief adds depth, resonating with readers through Owen's honest portrayal of loss and his journey towards acceptance.
"Pour Decisions" is not just a romance; it's a testament to resilience, growth, and the trans-formative power of love. Chaperon's prose is engaging, her characters vibrant, and the chemistry between Delia and Owen palpable. For fans of emotional depth, steamy romance, and a story that celebrates the beauty of healing hearts, "Pour Decisions" is a must-read.
Thank you to the author, Amanda Chaperon, and Luna Literary Management for the opportunity to read and review the ARC of Pour Decisions. ♥️
Amanda Chaperon is another new author I've discovered this year. I need to thank her for offering me the chance to have this e-copy.
Everything begings with the suggestion Amanda Delatou gives to Owen Lawless, who is searching for a way to open a distillery. Amanda suggested her little sister, Delia, to be the one who willl be right person to help in this situation of Owen. Even though Delia is not pleased at all with her sister's decision and neither Owen, they will eventually reach to a compromise and start with this plan.
Working together is not the easiest thing for neither of them because with each day the attraction is growing bigger. Delia has a trauma from the past and needs to overcome this in order to start another journey with someone else. But Owen is not the person to give up and uses all his charms to get through Delia's high walls.
Owen had to overcome the passing of his father and his early end of his football career - he had a really bad injury, from which he couldn't recover at his best form and, therefore, he decided to exit this sport.
They had a really good, really long banter and I liked their interactions throughout the story. It had funny moments, tensioned, sad and happy ones. I liked how supportive Owen was of Delia and how patient he was with her.
Overall, this book was pretty nice to read, but maybe I needed a bit more consistency in the second part, to see more of other sides of the bond Owen and Delia built, beside the physical one.
This book was such a great read—I was hooked from the start. I loved diving into the backstories of Owen and Delia; it really added depth to their characters and made me understand why they are the way they are. Owen's sense of responsibility for others and Delia's hesitation around him both made perfect sense once you got their histories.
One of the standout things for me was that Owen fell for Delia first, and he wasn’t afraid to admit he needed her in his life. The vulnerability of both characters added so much dimension; they were strong, but also very human. It’s a slow burn, and you can really feel the tension between them as the story unfolds. The chemistry? Off the charts! Even though their first meeting technically isn’t in this book, you can sense that spark right from the beginning.
I also want to mention that I usually don’t go for age-gap romances, but this one worked for me. Owen’s maturity and clear sense of what he wanted out of life resonated with me. And Delia—she’s so successful but also a bit aimless. Watching her thrive with Owen’s support was really satisfying. Their individual growth was great, but their partnership? A whole journey. They compliment each other so well.
Oh, and if you enjoy some open-door spice, get ready because this book delivers! When the slow burn finally pays off, it’s 🔥
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The small-town, slow-burn romance kept me flipping pages, and the banter between Owen and Delia was top-notch. Delia’s sisters were a blast, and seeing Owen and Delia heal their pasts tied everything together beautifully. Plus, their business journey added an exciting twist to the story.
Another book, another author who has found their way onto my TBR because they drew me in, didn’t let me go, and captured by heart by the end of this book! Amanda wrote an excellent book that I couldn’t put down.
Delia is the definition of boss babe! She is strong, independent, knows what she wants, and knows her worth. She has a following on social media, mainly home renovations, but also content creation for businesses to help them drive customer engagement. Her family is in the wine business, owning a winery, so when the opportunity to build a distillery from the ground up presents itself, she knows she wants in.
Owen is a retired quarterback who has started a few businesses. He wants to start a distillery, but knows he needs help. He doesn’t expect Delia to be the person she is, but quickly realizes he needs her to make this business a success. As their professional relationship grows, so do his feelings for her.
Amanda character writing is incredible. I loved the back story she gives both of them, their development throughout the book, and the way their relationship begins to evolve. Each strong in their own way, but understand the importance of being vulnerable with each other to make the business and them a success. And when she says slow burn, she means a slow burn, but one you can’t turn away from. When the slow finally ignited, I kicked my feet, because I was ready for it! It happened perfectly and it made the read all that more enjoyable.
As always review trigger warnings before reading.

I LOVE a small-town setting with a sprinkle of romance. Pour Decisions delivers that perfectly.
