Braern is defeated, his rebels destroyed, yet treachery festers in the Fae realm of Lóna as Azran and Elanor are forced apart.
Compelled by fate's cruel hand, Azran crosses the Váyan Sea toward distant Zetrea, leaving General Calen in charge and Elanor trapped in a deathless trance. As he grapples with Elanor’s absence and faces old enemies, the fate of Lóna hangs in the balance.
When Elanor awakens from her encounter with Death, Azran hasn’t been heard from in weeks. Defying reason and authority, Elanor sets out on her own path to solve Azran’s mysterious disappearance, even if it means entangling herself in political games.
Meanwhile, old flames rekindle in Averion between a General and a red-haired captain.
As the weary heroes prepare to face their most nefarious adversary yet, will their unity withstand shifting alliances?
Time erodes all masks, revealing what lurks in shadowed hearts. Reunion and lasting peace seem like distant hopes as deceit lingers behind kind eyes, waiting to strike.

I was so fortunate to be an ARC reader and I am obsessed with this series! Book 1 immediately had me hooked and I needed book 2!
In "Prince of Bloodshed," By Allie Cole crafts a gripping tale of love, loss, and the relentless pursuit of destiny. Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous kingdom of Lóna, the novel plunges readers into a world where fate's hand guides the actions of its characters, weaving a complex web of intrigue and suspense. The narrative unfolds through the intertwined perspectives of Azran, Elanor, and a cast of compelling characters, each grappling with their own demons and desires. Azran's journey across the Váyan Sea towards Zetrea sets the stage for a gripping adventure, while Elanor's determined quest to unravel the mystery of his disappearance adds a layer of tension and urgency to the narrative. Allie Cole masterfully blends elements of fantasy and political intrigue, deftly navigating the intricacies of power dynamics and shifting alliances. The dynamics between characters are richly drawn, from the simmering tensions between General Calen and the red-haired captain in Averion to the poignant reunion between Azran and Elanor. At its core, "Prince of Bloodshed" is a story about the enduring power of love and loyalty in the face of adversity. As the characters confront their most nefarious adversary yet, Allie Cole keeps readers on the edge of their seats with twists and turns that challenge their perceptions of right and wrong.
So excited that this was my very first ARC read before release on the 31st!!! I loved Daughter of Darkness, and Prince of Bloodshed did not let me down! In my opinion, Daughter of Darkness was heavier on the relationships, banter, and friendships/community, whereas Prince of Bloodshed was more action and adventure based. Both books contain all elements, just some more highlighted in one versus the other.
I really loved that this book felt like it took me for a wild ride! I love books that make me really feel like I’ve been on a journey with the characters from start to finish, and Prince of Bloodshed did just that!
You’ll love this Duo-logy if you are a fan of ACOTAR, TOG, Blood & Ash, Daughter of Darkness, and even Harry Potter! It had elements that reminded me of them all, while still being uniquely its own (:
I highly highly recommend this book and this duo-logy! Giving Prince of Bloodshed a 4/5 just because I’m more of a fan of the relationships and friendships, and I felt there wasn’t quite as much in this one as the first.
A massive thank you to Allie for allowing me to be an ARC reader for this incredible duology. After finishing Wielder of Shadows, I was hanging by a thread she created with that cliffhanger.
The growth from Wielder of Shadows to Prince of Bloodshed was extraordinary. She really found her groove in this book and I was here for every second of it.
Az & Ela <3 Oh, the emotions this book filled me with on their final journey. Truly, a love like no other between these two. I’m such a fan of HEA, but honestly, the ending was beyond perfect. Quiet & serene peace after so much treachery and loss. War & Death together forever at last.
Cal & Vesta! Oh my heart at the first epilogue. “I love you” was said, but no words spoken. :,-) Another incredibly deserving love that the reader gets to root for.
Fantasy books can be incredibly overwhelming with the length of the series. I’m a big fan of this duology for many reasons, but mainly because of how approachable it is while containing all the best romantasy aspects. Two books full of love, pain, betrayal, growth, self-discovery, and more. While I will miss these characters, I will appreciate the story they told so well.
“If emerald is to be the last thing I see when I die, then let it be her eyes, looking back into my soul, with her guard down and her love within reach.”
This book was such an interesting read. The story was a little difficult to get in to (since I hadn't read the first book) but, once I got a grasp on it, I couldn't put it down! Elanor and Azran was incredibly interesting in how they always tried to fight for one another without dimming the other's light. While Elanor is unconscious Azran goes across the sea and disappears. Once Elanor awakes she eventually goes in search of Azran. From political games, imprisonment, and of course some magic they are reunited to face the coming evil together. This book does end with an HEA, though it may not be the way you expect! Overall I feel like this book was a great fantasy read with a little spice thrown in. This is the second book in the series and I would definitely recommend reading the first book. While you can read and enjoy this book without reading the first one, you may miss some plot points, relationship building, and nuances woven into the story. I would recommend reading any trigger warnings because there are some scenes that could be triggering/graphic.

First, I would like to say that this book is filled with an amazing story line and even better writing. The writing is MWAH 😘
I do not want to give any spoilers away… but if you like romance, fae, war/politics, enemies to lovers… this book is for you. I loved every second of it and read it in a day. ONE SITTING!
You can tell the author poured her heart and soul into this story and all of the characters within it. 10/10 recommend this for a fun, unforgettable read!
I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this AMAZING book! After reading Daughter of Darkness I needed answers of what the heck is gonna happen…this book DEFINITELY gave me all the answers I needed! I loved the fact that we got more than one POV. This book kept me on my toes and had my heart racing at so points (but I definitely dive way too deep into my book worlds lol)! Everyone get ready for May 31 st to dove back into the world of Lóna! 💗
Yeahhh I kinda put the book down at one point and had a hard time picking it back up. The book had some really good parts but the slow parts dragged on. I’m glad it ended how it did. Just wish there was a little more detail at the end. It was just like yup I’m done with this kind of vibes.
*ARC Review* Wowza what a journey, I literally cried reading chapter 3... This one picks shortly after the INSANE cliffhanger Wielder of Shadows leaves off on and I was once again taken by the easy flow and beautiful worded world Allie writes. If you love strong FMCs, Multiple POVS and spicy Romantasy, please, give this duology a go, it has easily become one of my favorite fantasy worlds. 🖤❤️🔥
“Torn apart by life, but finding peace in each other, I’m hers as she is mine—Death and her monster.“
Even though Ela and Azrans story has ended they will always be some of my favorites to read.
First, she start off with daughter of darkness-Weilder and Shadows and following a young woman trying to figure life out. To have multiple POV’s coming into herself and realizing there’s so much more out there in the world that was hidden from her. For sure, a cliffhanger.
Daughter of Darkness-Prince of Bloodshed was a crazy rid. From the multiple POV’s, to feelings, though I don’t know what’s happening, lies, and deception, the one that got away and having a second chance. The way this book concluded the duology was amazing.
I cried, I laughed, I got angry several times, but overall having characters that you can relate to, and feel for not just mentally, but emotionally was beautiful.
Prince of Bloodshed releases on May 31st. Paperback preorders are open now so make sure to get yourself a copy 🖤
ARC Review: LOVED 👏 THIS 👏 BOOK! If you are looking for a fantasy with ACOTAR and from blood and ash vibes this is the book for you. First book ends in cliffhanger but I promise the second book really sets the bar. It’s not often, I like the second book better but the more in depth you get with characters it’s hard not to be obsessed! Ela is my hero! Thank you Allie for making for characters come to life ❤️
Allie really stepped up her game with the sequel! The writing and character development was amazing in this book. The characters had so much more depth and the connections felt real.
The battle scenes were written extremely well and with so much amazing imagery. And there were a lot of great battle scenes to read in this one. A different vibe from the first book, but in the best way possible.
2 months after the defeat of Braern Eleanor finds her self stuck between the mortal realm and the realm of the dead. While struggling to come back to the mortal realm, Azran must leave her side and travel to see King Airdan of Zetrea to find out who aided Braern in the battle Adria. Unfortunately for Az he’s in over his head and hasn’t been seen or heard of in some weeks. Ela wakes to find her mate is missing and convinces Cal (the general and intern high lord) to send her to Zetrea to find him. Unfortunately Ela meets the same fate as Az. Cal is left in a position to make hard choices in order to find his brother (Az)and Eleanor.
“I’m sorry it took me so long to see you to see us” -Ela
“Little one you could’ve take an eternity and I would have waited” - Az
Let’s start with the negatives first because I love ending things on a positive note.
First off this book starts SLOW. So if you’re expecting things to pop off from the start that’s not what happens. While I enjoyed MULTIPLE point of views for me it got a little confusing to remember whose POV you were reading. I really wanted to enjoy the beginning chapters of Calen’s POV but for me he constantly sounded like a fussy baby. While we are aware from the previous book his feelings for Vesta he kept saying he didn’t wanna tie her down but at the same time he gave off marry me vibes for most of it. I didn’t quite understand the whole them hooking up together at the beginning because it didn’t provide anything . I love smut in my books but their hookups felt out of place. It wasn’t until the battle Daenia when they have to split to different areas of the battle that it made sense. However much it did start to make sense I still found it unnecessary.
Now on to the positives The first chapter is Az POV and then you dont see him again until chapter 17. We’re introduced to Prince Nylren who I personally thought was gonna be some big wimp but turned out was one scary Prince! Not to mention his father Airdan my goodness their whole demeanor was intense! Once you get past the slow things and we get to El’s captivity the book starts to get violent! From lashing to fingernail removals! It was intense but perfectly written! Let’s not even begin to talk about how I almost cried when Eleanor was confessing her love for Azran to him and he started to reject her! I had to put it down for a moment because my heart couldn’t take it! Watching Eleanor’s power grow and the realization of what her powers mean was awesome!
I can’t say there was a tremendous amount of character development but the small things that El feared when it came to opening up to someone are explored and they are in a way resolved. I loved that both her and Az both regardless of loving each other and having a mating bond still need that reassurance regardless. You do find out the torture Az endured as a young child at the hands of his father which Nylren also endured even as an adult with his own father, but there was growth with Az vs Hate in Nylren.
I thought because of this Nyl was probably going to have Az kill his father for him then take over but boy was I wrong Allie Cole said nope I’m not THAT predictable. The last battle in this book was so much fun and intense! By the end of the book I found myself sobbing boogers and all!
While I wasn’t sure at the beginning of this book if I would like it I sure as hell am I glad I stuck it through!
Recovering from this book hangover is going to be so hard
Allie Cole girl you did that !!!!

ARC review Prince of Bloodshed by Allie Cole Daughter of Darkness Book 2
I want to thank Allie Cole for choosing me to be on her ARC team in exchange for an honest review. It means the world to be picked for my very first ARC read. I am giving this 3.5 stars and there are a few reasons for that. First, the beginning of the book is very slow. Yet, you can see the growth in Allie’s writing from the first book to this one. It is not easy to write a book let alone one as complex as this one. There is a lot going on. To me it felt like the pacing was slow in sections then it picked up and it was so fast I felt like I missed something. The multiple POVs also slowed down my process into reading because it was hard to keep up with certain characters and their story in the book. There was a lot packed in to not a big book. I understood the concept and the idea for this is fantastic. I just think this could have been a longer series than a duology. The ideas like Vesta & Cal could have been fleshed out more. Their random chapters threw me off and felt unnecessary until the end. Then it conveyed to me as the reader because it was important to have at least Cal’s chapter POV. Yet, we also don’t get Vesta’s POV. If she was a key part like Cal was then as the reader, we should have gotten her perspective. The character development was better and has significantly improved since the first book. As well as the battle scenes were a lot better. I was absolutely hooked. The details for the battle scenes were at the level they needed to be for a great fantasy. It was easy to follow the conflict and what was happening. The ending I was not a fan of. It felt rushed and put together with a bow to wrap it up nicely. Overall, it was a very good book. Could there have been parts that could have been better…. yes. It was interesting to see the growth from book one to book two. Yet, I did enjoy the overall experience reading this.

“Love was a mere synonym of suffering and despair for as long as I could recall, until I met her.”
I’ve been a fan of Daughter of Darkness for a while now. Wielder of Shadows was great, but y’all, Prince of Bloodshed definitely hit it out of the park. This duology is absolutely fantastic. I really REALLY recommend it to my fantasy romance friends. This story definitely leans dark, but it hits all the important plot themes and tropes so well. While this story is both emotionally-charged and action-packed, we get the swoon but also boatloads of heartbreak as well.
Allie has a talent with imagery. With some books I may have difficulty visualizing certain scenes or settings. But not this book, the last battle for instance, was written so well and I felt like I could see it perfectly. The world building is truly great here but y’all the character development is what shines in this series. Elanor, our BA shadow wielding fmc grows so much in the span of these two books. Like, fans of SJM’s Nesta WILL appreciate this character. You will also fall in love with our mmc, Azran, he’s the embodiment of the misunderstood-morally grey-kind of an ass-but low key cinnamon roll-hero. And his love for Ela is this ish they write songs about y’all. Their romance is sooo piney and goes through so much growth in these books.
I LOVE when a book gives me the chest squeezes and y’all. This. Ending. Jesus. This ending made me feel so many things. And let me tell you, my inner emotional masochist reveled in it. This ending was so emotional and shocking and simply perfect *chefs kiss 🤌🏻 Ela and Az’s story is wrapped up just so well.
While I’m sad this series is over, I’m definitely🤞🏻 for future stories in this world! I just really need yall to go check out this one out, it’s just so so worth it you guys ✌🏻
ARC review Prince of bloodshed by Allie Cole Daughter of darkness Book 2
“I’ve never cared much for divinity, but you made me a believer,” I whisper against her lips. “Let this be the hour when we dance with each other, in war and bloodshed.”
This story is about Elanor that finds her true self in a world she thought was her enemy. A world she found her heritage and true past. She found love in her enemy, Azran, the person responsible for her mother's death. Her mate, a bond and love so deep that hate could never stay. A power so great that she's on the edge between dark and light. A power that is going stronger and stronger...
In the first book Elanor starts a new life in this whole new world, Averion. Where she finds friendship with Vesta and the twins Wyn and Varan. In the second book we are taking overseas and discover a new world and enemies.
And we get an extra lovestory in Prince of bloodshed. The tension between Vesta and Azran's right hand and general, Calen was already there in book 1. But we get a lot more of them in Book 2.
“Tsk, tsk. That won’t do, dove.” I kiss under her ear. “I’m going to make you sing, and discover each sound you make until your throat is raw.”
Review This story is amazing and beautiful! And I'm amazed that this is Allie Cole's debut story.
After the epic cliffhanger in Wielder of shadows, I loved how the story continued in the second book. You learn what Elanor's true power is and what happened with Azran.
From book 1 I appreciated the backstory of Calen and Vesta and I was happy we got more of them in Book 2. I thought it was an extra lovestory in the book, but the end made me understand how important their story was!
Savage🥰
What I loved most was Elanor's journey towards her true strength and to that final decision. Which was an ending I did not see coming and was not hoping for while reading! It was bittersweet but so right, which made me even appreciate the story more.
I am so lucky to have been an ARC reader for Allie's second book in the duology, Prince of Bloodshed. I loved the first book and was so excited to continue Elanor's and Az's story. Allie has definitely raised the bar since her first book. I could tell a lot of thought went into the design and layout of the book and that was very much appreciated throughout. The map, the playlist, it was all just added detail that really makes you enjoy the book that little bit more.
The story did not disappoint in the slightest! I was highlighting quotes from literally the first few pages. The writing was swoon worthy. From a personal point of view, I wish I had re read Wielder of Shadows as there were a few details I couldn't quite remember but that is all on me and not the book itself. It was so refreshing to read about a strong female character who is not influenced by anyone else but her own thoughts. Often they can get lost behind the love interest but I feel Allie did really well to keep Elanor's judgements her own. It was completely action packed and the battle at the end had me not wanting to put the book down. I won't give too much away about the ending as I don't intend to spoil it for anyone waiting to read it but I thought the way the story ended for the characters was perfect. It's not often I feel that way but it was romantic and completely unpredictable. Overall it was a very enjoyable read, filled with romance, action and a fantastic side character story.
Well done Allie on yet another great book! I can't wait to see what else you have in store.
“Fuck this world that’s always wanted us dead. I got to share a love with you that transcended all the horrors they threw at us.”
crying, screaming, throwing up
the end to an amazing duology and debut novels by allie mother f-ing cole 🥹
I cannot believe that this duology is over. I can remember reading book one a little under a year ago thinking how amazing this author is and not believing that this was her first book
this book picks up right where book one leaves off (thank god, that cliffhanger was PAINFUL). which there was a warning that book one leaves off on a cliffhanger (which I didn’t read) but now you’ll be able to read both books at once on May 31st
the characters, the world building, & the connection that the reader gets is out of this world. I felt intertwined with the characters and the war that I felt like I was apart of it. I even forgot I was reading for a period of time, that’s how invested I was in this book
there is a warning at the beginning of this book that pretty much says that this is a different type of hea so you are warned. allie you will be receiving my therapy bills for the ending. I don’t cry over books pretty much ever, but this one got me and I couldn’t even explain why I crying without crying more
allie - you are freaking amazing and I cannot wait to read more from you in the future! I’m so grateful being on your arc team and thank you for letting me rant to you 🫶🏼
As much as I enjoyed this book, I don't think I loved it as much as the first one.
Cons: -There were too many pov and honestly I would've preferred just reading Ela's and Azran's pov. Especially because we don't really get stolen happy moments from them, mostly anger/war scenes/smut. Which is all good(they are still very passionate and literally fated mates) but I think I was eager for more light moments. -There was a lot on the kings son Nylren. I don't think he actually played that big of a role, I'm not sure he deserved a pov in the story. He didn't really make a big difference in the outcome of things, like anyone else could've done what he did and not needed pov chapters. Idk. -This book just felt slower to me, I think it lacked a certain element to make it read smoother but I can't put my finger on what it was. -What the heck is that ending !!!!!!! AHHHH good grief. It's the saddest happily ever after I've ever read. It makes sense but it also is gut wrenching.
Pros: - I did enjoy cal and vesta, despite not necessarily wanting their pov. I think they deserved their own book but I'm still happy for them. -This book is great for dark epic fantasy romance lovers. There was politics, torture, war, death, betrayal, fighting, spice. Very dark read. -Duology's are great in my opinion. I don't need a 5 book series all the time. -Loved the romance and spice! Azran and Ela are cut from the same cloth and meant to be together for sure. Death and war!
WOOOOOW! What a story and honestly cannot wait to see what else Allie Cole has in store for in the future . I read book 1 [Wielder of Shadows] and it takes you on an adventure that is neither slow pace nor fast pace.
If you like a badass fmc, dark fantasy romance, multiple POV’s (not just from the main characters), fae, sword fighting, warriors, fantasy, and magic then this is the book for you!
This book is book 2/2 to the Daughter of Darkness series. It will leave you feelings so many emotions throughout the story and even make you feel like you lived it alongside the characters.
The love that Azran has for Elanor will make you crave a love so deep and soul crushing like theirs. The plot is *chefs kiss*! In book 2 we get to cross the ocean into Zetrea land and come across another kingdom.
Elanor characters matures throughout these two books. After going through so much and discovering her heritage she is determined to fight for her destiny and her loved ones. Azran is a morally grey asshole but I fell in love with him since we get to see his POV throughout the story and come to understand his decisions.

I'm so sad that the duology was just that a duology! I absolutely loved these books and ATE them up!!!
This book was definitely more action based than book 1. There was so much development that happened as well. The emotions were a lot stronger as well. The ending was absolutely PERFECT!! There was so much more that was put into this book from Allie, and you can tell!
I enjoyed how this starts off not too long after the cliffhanger from book 1. It all flowed easily together that picking up right where we left off we so easy. We got multiple POV, which i always love reading! I love Az and Ela and the relationship they have. But I also enjoyed that the relationship wasn't at the front and hid the rest of the book, showing how strong Ela is and the sacrifices she makes, it was amazing to read.
This was such an amazing duology, and I absolutely loved both books! I was honored to beta read this duology for Allie, and I am so honored for it! I highly suggest getting these books and giving them a chance!
Allie Cole is a savage writer and I love it! This is the conclusion of the Daughter of Darkness series, Prince of Bloodshed.
If I could describe how I felt when reading the series, I would have to compare it to how I felt when I watched Game of Thrones and by that I mean, you can’t trust anyone you can’t get attached to characters and just when you think you figured things out here comes the plot twist. And that is what I mean when I say that Allie Cole is a savage writer.
Book two is told to us in multi point of view, and I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it, but it actually worked, it does not take the attention away from the main characters because all the characters are linked to them. I think since it’s told in multi POV you get invested to certain character’s storylines.
In this conclusion after book one and defeating Braeden, you would think that Elanor and Azran faced the worst because he was awful, but no, they have more obstacles to face to try to save the realm of Lona.
Allie really takes us on a wild ride with all the twist and turns you just never know how this is going to end and just when you think you figured it out I can promise you you haven’t.
You definitely see the character growth for Ela. Azran and Ela were put through so much but they had a goal they had a destiny to fulfill. Do they make it? You have to read it to find out because this is not your ordinary fantasy romance.
I can honestly tell you that I was not expecting that ending so bravo to you, Allie l, you got me!
I really enjoyed this duology. There was a repetitive phrase that drove me insane, but the storyline definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. It had me on a roller coaster of emotions.
The characters are so lovable. Calan and Vesta are fantastic supporting characters. The twins with their humorous banter add a much needed relief to the drama intertwined within the storyline.
I was so excited to know that Ella and Azran were going to be back together only to be almost destroyed. I don’t understand why the author never let Ella tell Azran the truth about who they were and what their connection truly meant.
It’s been a long time since the ending of a book made me this mad. You killed BOTH the main characters off?? It was all for nothing. Their deaths crushed me.
Thank goodness for epilogues! I know they’re back together forever, but WHY??? Why did they have to die? 😭😭😭

I want to thank Allie Cole for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a duology and I wish I had time to reread the first book before this but alas I did not have time. I loved Az & Ela’s story along with the additive of the side characters growing importance and romance. I think this world has a lot of potential and could be developed into more side stories. I also think the bits about gods in the fae is an interesting theory to explore in the series.
The only reason this isn’t a 5 star is I feel that it should’ve been a trilogy. I felt that everything was rushed and the world building in book 2 was lacking. Using this book as a stepping stone would’ve been better for the reader to understand everyone. I felt confused on the timeline along with the powers of everyone were severely under developed.

If you like fantasy book, enemies to lovers and strong feminine characters, this book is a must! It transported me in another universe, putting us in the skin of the heroes. The emotions will take you by surprise many times, making you feel fear, hope, sadness, anger as the characters are feeling it. We are going from smile to tears, stress and relief. Once I started the book, it was so hard to put it down! I couldn't recommend it enough, I would read it again and again! The writing and development of the characters are incredible and it makes us get such an insight on multiple characters that it makes the reading even more interesting. A big BRAVO to you Allie!! My favorite quote from the book: “Destined to be one, we fought our way to each other.”
4.5 ⭐ This was a very enjoyable read, and maybe if I wasn't in a bit of a reading slump right now I would have enjoyed it a bit more. But I was still in disbelief that Azran and Elanor died in the end because they deserved a lot better, but even if their lives got cut short at least they found themselves in the afterlife and now they will truly be at peace without any chaos that will torn them apart from each other. And I also I took pity for Nylren because all he wanted was his father's love and approval, but since his mother died from giving birth to him his father blamed him, and throughout his life he just wanted his father's love and to be truly seen, but until his last breath all his father ever did to him was make him feel worthless of his love.
I had the pleasure of reading this as an arc read and it was by far one of my most favorite books of the year. The finishing of this book was such a bittersweet moment for me. While I loved the book I can’t help but want more 🫣😅 The book picks up where the first one left us hanging. Continuing the story of Az and Elanor and the battle to protect their home. Throughout the story we got to see a couple more POVs to tell the story and it had me guessing who I could trust. With its unique unconventional ending Prince of Bloodshed was a hit and I can’t wait to read more of what Allie Cole gives us cause she really hits all the marks!
I definitely enjoyed reading the second book more so than the first. This book had more of a flow to it while reading than compared to the first. The plot was more intriguing this time around and had me wanting to read more the further along I got. But by three quarters of the way in part 2, it started to lose my interest. I liked getting to see more of Calen and Vesta’s story and actually liked them a little more than Az and Ela. Some parts of the story were a little predictable but I did get a little teary eyed during Chapter 52. Overall it was a nice way to end the duology.
Daughter of Darkness walked so this book could RUN! I read it in one day and could not wait to see what would happen next.
Read for: - multiple POV done SO well - fated mates - political intrigue - the fate of the world is in the balance - some spice 🔥 - shifting alliances - so much tension - two great love stories - THE ENDING 😭
I really enjoyed this book! Daughter of Darkness built up the relationships and established the world and Prince of Bloodshed brought the action. It had the same dark fantasy vibes of book one and completed the duology so well.
Check this out if you like dark fantasy with strong female characters and series like Throne of Glass!
Thank you so much to Allie for having me on her arc team for Prince of Bloodshed!!
First off let me say the growth Allie showed as a writer from book 1 to book 2 is phenomenal! Following Azran and Ela as they fight to be together and eliminate the evil in their world was such a fun adventure. The plot twist had me saying “girllll I know you didn’t do that to us!” And the physical relief I felt when I realized what had happened. The ending will have you in tears for more than one reason. Some of my favorite lines from the book: “I’m hers as she is mine — Death and her monster.” “My life was black and white until she brought the color to it, and there’s no going back.”
