Willow lives on Florida's Space Coast. When she is not writing or reading, you will find her surfing and watch the dolphins play in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Whoa…Willow Rose sure knows how to grab me by the throat, leaving me gasping, hoping…will they get to her in time?
No one thinks it will happen to them…a school shooting…
Eva had found her long lost sister, and now she has found that she has a long lost brother and her estranged father. And they need her help. She can’t say no.
Her characters are unique, fascinating and complicated.
Willow Rose has so much going on in Say You Love me that my head is spinning. She has an ability to spin a complicated web, making me wonder how it will all come together.
Why…what…who…
The villain is having a great time and sharing it, streaming it live online, the viewers scream for blood. Disgusting, frightening, and it unfolds like a Criminal Minds episode.
Eva Rae also has a full plate when it comes to her personal life. It is complicated, but she brings some of it on herself, unable to make the commitment to her cop boyfriend, Matt. I love him. He has the patience of a saint, but everyone has their breaking point. Her ex wants her back. Sure, they had good times and the kids would love it, but….
I don;t like what happens at 70%, but I’m not telling.
Willow Rose wrote Say You Love Me while hurricane Dorian was threatening the coast. I love that she worked that into the story and created more nail biting and danger. Never too much suspense for me and she gives me a steady supply in all her books.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Say You Love Me by Willow Rose.
WOW! I never saw that one coming! Eva Rae get your shit together! Matt does not deserve some of this foolishness. He IS the one for you! Fantastic series!
*slight spoilers* Based on a true story, SAY YOU LOVE ME is Book 4 in the fantastic Willow Rose's Eva Rae Thomas Mystery series. A clever docudrama whose facts reveal up-to-date events, (high-school shootings in the US) mixed with the problems and the complex issues of a dysfunctional family in a strange, yet wonderful manner. As an expert ex-FBI criminal profiler she's called in on a 4th case, that hits close to home in an unforeseeable way that hits her for six emotionally. Already experiencing conflicting emotions in her life, Eva Rae is divorced, has three children and is supposedly now a full-time Mom. Out of the blue, her estranged father contacts her asking for help to clear her half-brother, (whose existence she was completely unaware of) Adam, who lies in a coma having been shot by police, called to his school after a frantic 911 call saying that a student had fired an assault rifle in the canteen...oh and by the way, Hurricane Damien is fast approaching Florida, which may very well necessitate total evacuation for Eva Mae, her family and friends.
Why would Adam take a rifle to his school? Where did he get such a gun from? Who actually fired the rifle and caused such misery? When will the serial-killer strike next? Should Eva Mae leave her home - and her brother, who may die before she can save him - and get to know him properly? How can she tell if Adam's innocent when he can't defend himself? Why did the police act in such a way? Will Adam survive? Only getting your copy of Willow Rose's excellent psychological thriller SAY YOU LOVE ME today and buckle up for a wild emotional ride that will haunt you for sure - it's a winner!
I gave the book three stars because readers have been dealing with Eva Rae's ambivalence regarding important life changes for at least three books, and she has not reached a conclusion yet. It is time to get the mind made up! The mystery/thriller of the book caught me by surprise, completely. How did she make up that chain of events and the people in the chain?
When Eva Rae Thomas received word that her young brother, one she never knew existed, had been shot during a mass shooting at Amelia Island High-school, Eva Rae wasn’t prepared when the shooter was revealed.
As evidence began piling up, Eva Rae knew things were not as they appeared. A serial killer was on the prowl and the school shooting was just the inaugural act. What transpired next was beyond shocking and horrific !!
Willow Rose is a phenomenal author!! Every book of hers I’ve read, I have been hooked until the very end. Say You Love Me is her best, yet. She had me guessing and then second guessing myself as to whom the killer actually could be. If you love murder mystery, solving crime, and trying to figure out the killer’s next move... this is a book not to be missed. Absolutely nail-biting drama.
Part 4 has been my favorite of the series thus far. Fast paced as Eva Rae raced against the clock as a sociopath went ballistic with live video feeds of his crimes. The background narrative mixed in with the present situation gave good insight of the culprit's thought process and his unbalanced reasoning. Introduction of long lost family members were a good addition and suspenseful twists had me completing this part rather quickly. Looking forward to next part
Fabulous page-turning story about former FBI profiler Eva Rae who hears from her father for the first time in decades asking her help with a brother she never knew existed. Eva Rae's half brother, Adam, is accused in a school shooting incident and Eva Rae decides to get to the bottom of what happened and what inspired Adam to participate (or what gave him no choice BUT to commit this act). This book is Book 4 in the Eva Rae series and interestingly enough I'd finished Book 5 last week and then started this one. Didn't matter. Both books were fabulous and I didn't care that I already knew how a few things would play out in the future having read the next book first. This is what happens when you get a lot of books from BookBub and Chirp - I get what I get, and have discovered some magnificent authors as a result. What I really appreciated about this author in both this book and the next in the series (Let Me Go) is that the author took the time to explain her inspiration for the stories. After completing both books, I enjoyed learning more. In this case, I learned about awful, hateful people, who find each other and follow the activities of people committing crimes (e.g. on YouTube or other platforms). Hard for me to fathom anyone getting pleasure in watching - live - as someone is murdered but I know it is real because in my generation, we heard of "snuff films" many decades ago. Didn't get it then, don't get it now. Just really enjoy a wonderful, suspenseful tale with great characters and great dialogue. An added bonus is that the stories are set in my home state of Florida. I just downloaded another Willow Rose book I'd gotten from BookBub and also ordered the 6th book in the Eva Rae series from Amazon. I'm hooked.
Another will written Florida murder mystery adventure thriller novel by Willow Rose 🌹 Eva Ray Thomas Mystery book four. Eva Ray travels to Amelia island to help her father's family. A serial killer is killing people on the island and Eva Ray ends up in the middle. Then a hurricane shows up ☝ and Eva Ray solves the serial killer mystery as it strikes the island. Eva Ray and Matt with the kids become a family. I would recommend this series and author to readers of mysteries. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening to novellas, novels 👍🔰, and books 📚. 2022 👒😉🏡
This is the 4th book in this series I have really liked them all. They sometimes get a bit confusing but the best part is they keep me reading. I have really enjoyed every Willow Rose book I have read. I like reading a series, but I love that they can also stand alone when I need a change. Great book....
Say You Love Me is great. Willow Rose is at the top of her game with the Eva Rae series. This book does not let the reader down. Well thought out characters and edge of your seat suspense. I did not see the end coming. Great read. Totally rollercoaster ride from start to finish.
This is the fourth book in the Eva Rae Thomas mystery series by Willow Rose.
Eva Rae connected with her super star sister a few books back but now she is getting to know her real biological father. She also discovers she has a young brother, Adam, who recently went into a school and shot up the place. Apparently, Adam was not the normal type of child who would do such a thing. Soon, Eva Rae realize that there is a madman out to prove something to her and plans ever more horrific killings.
Wow, these books are sort of stressful to read. You wonder if she is ever going to find out what is going on and then wonder if she will actually catch the guy behind it all. Such an amazing read.
Wow! This was one I could not figure it out. There were two stories going at the same time! I couldn’t figure it out. Then the twist pulled it all together! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
It was pretty good. Kinda Seven esk. I’m really getting used to the layout of these books but I’m still enjoying them. I think this is the fourth one I’ve read? Always has a crazy twist!!!!
I have enjoyed this series very much and this one was one of my favorites. It had several twists and turns. The end of this book left me craving for more of the Eva Rae series.
Willow does it again. Thrills and chills that are so real. You never know what will happen next. Finding a long lost brother and reuniting her family among the terrors of a vicious hurricane and multiple murders is such a terrific plot. It keeps you guessing and turning pages. A definite don’t put down mystery.
This is the best in the series so far; Eva’s life and loves are spinning in so many directions…reunion with father and brother she never knew…throw in a sadistic murderer and this book will keep your attention till the end!
Willow Rose books just seem to get better and better. She is my favorite new to me author of 2019 and ranks at the top of my mystery/suspense authors list. She has a way of drawing me into the very first chapter and keeping my attention until the final twist at the end of the book. I love trying to figure out who the killer is and then there is a twist or revalation that has me second guessing my thoughts. Her big finale always throws me a huge curve ball and low and behold I didn't see that coming at all. If there really were detectives in the real world that were as good as Eva Rae Thomas the world would be a better place. I do hope that there aren't many killers like the sadistic killers Willow Rose writes about but I do love reading her books! Let's just pray for more fiction books like these and not true crime books on this level of evil. If you've never read a Willow Rose book and love this genre you need her in your life!
Say You Love Me #4 The author has once again pulled you in, a sick boy, to find he was your brother, the nightmare he had caused at a school. By admitting you had a father, a brother, and this nightmare you didn’t know about. Gives one to ponder, could you do it. Then for her father to ask Eva Rae for help. We meet Matt, a son who hates his guts, blaming him for his mother’s death living with him. Eva Rae tells him, by overworking, and avoiding the issue was not good. Her ex was around again, was good for the kids they shared, but still he loathed the guy. Felt it wasn’t the best for Eva Rae, but her belief in second chances. A gripping plot, of families, rather you want them or not, their choices brings a nightmare of a case for her. A Plot that keeps you to the end.
I enjoyed this book but why does she have to make the bad guys to evil? It's enough to make you never want to leave your house. The story jumps around in time and character so you have to make sure you concentrate on the story but it all does come to gather into one terrifying nightmare. The characters (well the good guys) are likeable and it is a good mix between the investigation and a complicated home life. This is book four and I would say you probably need to start with book to keep up with everything that is going on in the series but it isn't totally necessary. Off to start the next book and see what other twist the author has in store for the character, one thing for sure if want be what I am expecting. Eva Rae gets a phone call from her estranged father to say the brother she never knew she had, was lying in a hospital bed after carrying out a school shooting and as a former FBI agent he needs her to prove they have got the wrong boy. Reluctant to go at first Eva Rae leaves her family behind to meet the boy before he spends the rest of his life in prison. When she gets there things don't add up and she soon finds herself looking into other case and deaths, cases the police believe she is making up. Can she convince the police to take her seriously before another life is lost. With the storm of the century on it way and a complicated home life to deal with Dan she prove the boy she doesn't know is innocent? I liked the narrator and thought she did a good job of building up the tension and suspense this story needs. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Somewhat rant, somewhat review: while I still believe she can see patterns when most ignore, I still think she's a terrible mother, and I'm starting to think she may have mental issues. Cause damn, girl! Give Matt some TLC. Put your kids in their place, they walk all over you. At least, you won't have your ex-husband bothering you anymore. But for the love of all, sit with your heart, and figure out what it is that you want! And communicate. Express yourself. This ain't no paranormal story, no one can read minds!! And then, there's the whole thing, Eva Rae is a damn former FBI agent, and she still goes around and about pretending she still has a badge. Now, with that out of the way, review: Our bad guy is a teen with a rare disease; but fret not, he has friends. Friends who don't care he has it. He sold a nice bargain for us readers, while we were unaware of things, which made the whole, "why would you kill or threaten your best friend?", and folks – it might have been because of a girl. But also his grandmother. His father. His dear mother too. Just one tragedy after the other. If you like plot twists, and wow moments, this book will provide you that, as long as you can block Eva Rae issues. Familial and romantic. Turn a blind eye to that, and focus how she gets the puzzle in place. Oh, last book she found her sister. This book, she finds her dad, grandmother, and brother. One major death, that will leave you a bit stunned, more for the kids – but he was difficult to like. I'm stunned and indifferent, is that possible? Poor kids, poor bunny.
You would think that Eva Rae Thomas has had enough surprises in her life, but Rose adds another and it is a whopper. David, Eva Rae’s birth father, calls to let her know that her brother Adam is in a coma. Brother? Oh...and he was shot in the chest. Why? He was shot in the middle of a school shooting. OMG. Did they catch the shooter? It’s your brother Adam, I need you to prove his innocence. Oh yeah, Rose gives us a humdinger this time.
Eva Rae not only meets a comatose Adam, but a grandmother that she does not remember. Oh...and I forgot to also mention that Adam is suspected of killing his girlfriend. Eva Rae has her hands full.
Rose has this ability to create multiple mysteries in one book and have it all make sense by the end of it. I will admit that I did guess the killer (Yay me!). Rose puts us through our paces though as I think this is the most people she has killed in separate incidents in one book. I will warn you though that some underage humans die in this story.
Like Rose’s other books, there is a grain of truth in this story and I actually remember and know about this activity. You have to read it and you will probably shake your head and say that people suck.
I could not put this story down. Rose has constant action, stress, and crime. Plus there is the family and romantic drama. Your heart races as you read this story. Say You Love Me is a made-for-tv movie, you will want to read again to see what you missed when everything is revealed.
...or continue. Although you can read each of the Eva Rae Thomas Mystery books as a standalone, it's extremely exciting to read them in order. Willow Rose has developed a character that gets under your skin, in a good way, and the crimes she investigates keep you on the edge of your seat.
As Eva Rae races to solve the most outrageous crimes, you'll be cheering for her as you grumble at the obstacles - mostly from close-minded naysayers - she encounters from criminals and fellow law enforcement officers. And, just when you think you're all caught up on the facts of the case she's pursuing a new detail or crime is thrown in to take you off course.
So far, this is the only Willow Rose series I've read and I like her easy-to-follow style that makes each book a fast read. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is there is a bit too much repetition for me. It's not just in repeating facts, but there are so many times when something like "and I looked into his crystal blue eyes" mentioned three times in just as many pages. A bit annoying.
If you can ignore that then you'll enjoy this book and others in the series. Of particular interest is how she takes real life events and weaves them into the books. Then, at the end, she provides links or details where you can read more information if you're interested.
Has Ema Rae Finally Met Her Match and will She Survive the Hurricane?
Retired FBI Profiler Eva Rae Thomas finds out that she has a half-brother after she receives a call from her estranged Father to help clear the 15 year old from shooting up his school and the earlier murder of his girlfriend. Eva Rae and her sister Sydney head to Amelia Island in Northern Florida to try to clear their half-brother. After several other attacks on other targets, Eva Rae is convinced that a serial killer is behind these attacks and not the the various hapless suspected perpetrators. Will she not only survive her encounter with this Serial Killer but also a Category 5 Hurricane that hits Amelia Island Head On?
Once again, Willow Rose gets us looking at one suspect and only near the end does she reveal the real perpetrator to us. Also built into this thriller is Eva Rae’s struggle to decide if she wants to be with her boyfriend or reunite with her ex-husband which the children want.
Eva Rae Thomas is the kind of person you love sometimes and yet you want to shake her other times.
Chat hurt her so much when he cheated on her after 15 years of marriage and yet her she was thinking of taking him back, even going so far as to kiss him and allow him to visit her when she should have been thinking of Matt, the man she had loved her entire life!
When Eva Dad's sister begs her to go with her to help clear the name of her half brother she never knew she had, it meant spending time with the man she hated and refused to call Dad. After all, much of the problems in her life was his fault.
But Eva Rae couldn't refuse to help catch a murderer, especially one so determined to kill so many people. Can she find him and put a stop to the mayhem before anyone else dies?
I never guessed who the murder was! Don't miss this Eva Rae murder mystery.
This one was interesting and yet almost confusing because it felt as if there was so much between Eva and her long lost dad that you got back in bits and pieces. Why he left, why he did what he did, why he didn’t try to contact her. Which, after being explained little by little, I now have questions about her mother.
The murder/thriller part of this novel was so incredibly thought out. The stories were sooo twisted together in this one. I definitely had the wrong person pegged as the killer... TWICE !
If you don’t know already, Willow Rose changes the character view each chapter, and also the timeframe in which the story is being told. So one chapter you are in present day and the next you are 15 years in the past. And the pieces never fit together until she wants them to. It keeps you hooked.
