The Guidal: Saving Light

Rate this book
Ever since that traumatic night, Aurora hasn’t been herself.

Her indifference and recklessness have left her friends bewildered, watching the girl they love slip away. Suddenly favouring the company of the once despised Boulderfells, Aurora is better at resolving conflicts with her bullies, but at what cost? The Guidal prophecy is at jeopardy, and unless they can bring Aurora back to her former self, Seioh Boulderfell’s relentless pursuit of a Puracordis-free world will dominate, solidifying his power over everyone she loves. The unwavering Kalmayans are convinced of their rightful claim and will stop at nothing in their secret plans to overthrow.

Betrayal from a friend ill-prepares Aurora to thwart the Kalmayans’ advances. Something dark sweeps in, something that has been dormant for millennia. Faced with choosing between love, duty, and the balance of Puracordis, can Aurora rise to be the Guidal so desperately needed? Who can she trust? Which path should she choose? The wrong choice will end with her life and establish dystopia once and for all. Friends, bullies, and a touch of something magical, Aurora is lost in a world of light and shadow.

I absolutely love this series. Roxy Eloise is a talented writer- each book so far has hooked me from the beginning. Even though I predicted some of the surprises, I was glad to be right! I can’t wait to read the next part of the story. The love triangle makes me feel emotions all over the place! I’m curious to see where everything ends up.

Brain dump: we have said this before and we are saying it again, If you don’t want a spoiler move on….

Chapter 1: Tayo seems to have changed personality overnight, I could get on board with this Tayo. Ohh wait… no he was just sleeping. Seioh Jennson is a machine - the flexon pro (I mean i would still smash him because I am a queen, but good effort sir).
Jennson is deffo looking out for Aurora, she doesn’t know how good she has it. I’ll sleep in Pax’s bed to get Tayos attention. Such an attention seeker, she needs to stop toying with everyone’s emotions. Pax not eating he sacrifices so much for Aurora 😭

Chapter 2: Roar thinking she’s been disrespected by the girl who wants a video with Pax and hangs on his neck, sorry but you’ve just shagged Tayo… she needs to get a grip. And she wants to be centre of everyone’s attention? The focus on the games is so similar to hunger games - distraction and reminder of how things are.
The spin the hairbrush scene a stark reminder that these people are CHILDREN!!

Chapter 3: the kalmayan queen and boulderfell?

Chapter 4: the necklace sounds stunning, this should be a piece of Roxy Eloise merch.
Seioh Jennson is deffo protecting Aurora and teaching her control -but why? I think he knows where her parents are (I think he’s hiding them, I don’t think they’re dead) I also wonder if Nanny K is like her aunt or something or her and Jennson are in love?

Chapter 5: SHE COULD BE RELATED TO THE KALMAYAN QUEEN?! I mean if she was my family I’d prob stab her too she was getting annoying. The necklace is gone - I’m suspecting Crystal. She can’t mind talk anymore - how did it take her so long to realise that?

Chapter 6:

Chapter 7: Auroras woe is me act is boring me now. Putting contacts in your eyes is intense, I had to stop wearing them because it was so traumatic 😂😂 I like this Aurora that tells Tayo as it is, just wish she would complain less. Nanny Kimlys brother saying Aurora doesn’t care about her anymore broke me cause she must really think that. What a little bitch Aurora is. I don’t even care that Tayo put them both in so much danger because they’d honestly deserve to get hurt, I just hope nothing would happen to Pax as a consequence.

Chapter 8: the woods? The queen? This is intense!!
She thinks she’s an astralist - i didn’t even think about the access to her room! This queen is SMART! Pressure plated roads are so clever! Tayo has a penthouse? Should I be impressed? She needs to pick someone she’s pissing me off.

Chapter 9: So Seioh boulderfells dad created the institute? It was just a “shell” when he was a young boy. Ohh now we are expanding the institute?

Chapter 10: no Yes to Tayo being locked up again. The centre of the table always being mentioned a does that have more significance? Kannon is right Aurora is a little shit. The cell bathroom scene is gross. I hate Tayo and I hate Aurora they are both so unlikeable right now.

Chapter 11: she’s making me sick going back and forth it’s fucking discussing. Not even an hour passes between her kissing both boys. Fucking mink. Yes Brindan the only one with balls to banish that twerp Tayo! Brindan is my my new favourite 🙌🏼

Chapter 12: get a fucking grip you drama queen.

Chapter 13: wow the length of that chapter was perfection 🤣

Chapter 14: again perfection. Aurora deserves everything that’s happening to her right now.

Chapter 15: pax needs to stop being so kind to her she doesn’t deserve it, it’s just the kind of man he is. Normal, kind, perfect.

Chapter 16: why are they apologising to Aurora? Why! Brindan hold your ground

Chapter 17: she’s fucking unhinged. I want to put this book down and be done with it. I don’t want to read anymore. Everyone’s pissing me off. GROW THE FUCK UP YOU SPOILT BRAT

chapter 18: team work I like it

Chapter 19: I actually like Beingnley is that weird?

Chapter 20: she has no right being jealous!! None at all. I hope Lilliam is important to pax. And I hope he’s happy!

Chapter 21: Jessigail has the necklace!! Is she actually bothered it was her family’s or is she bothered because her little convict gave it to her? Nanny Kimly you tell her - she was only interested in the boys, you go girl! Pre-cognitions can change?!!! I really hoped that during movie night they’d find the reel of Tayo and Aurora and all hell would break loose, disappointed

Chapter 22: pax knows all of her favourite things and she doesn’t know a thing about him 😭she doesn’t like people looking at pax but will ask her to look after Tayos pillow she is so fucking disrespectful. Hilly? The underdog is the one to have her back! It’s always the ones you least expect and she doesn’t deserve that level of support from Hilly!

Chapter 23: She keeps being sick in the mornings - is she pregnant? Jennsons betrothed passed away😭😭😭😭 he’s confiscated the necklace!!
She’s getting feelings for Ryker I can sense it!

Chapter 24: I had to read the beginning of this twice I was so confused 😂
HER PERIOD IS LATE!!!

Chapter 25: pax is incredible

Chapter 26: the kalmayan is brave in the canteen no less. It’s funny that 2004 is being used as so long ago 🤣 Ryker should have truth serumed A!

Chapter 27: Pax 😭😭😭😫😫 my heart WHO IS HEIR NOALA?

Chapter 28: right so, the shadow guidal and the Kalmayan prince - is Noala the Kalmayan queen?

Chapter 29: the Kalmayans have the symbol stopping their magic!!!! What is under the fountain? Pax arranging a first date has my whole heart 💜 PAXTON PROPOSED??? the ring - utter perfection and so thoughtful

Chapter 30: Silliah getting her moment - just absolutely perfect.

Chapter 31: The stress i felt when she was inside the fountain. Ok so Noala killed the kalmayan. Prince..

Chapter 32: A thirteenth year and a first year being matched is a little bit sick to be honest. KANNON giving her a nickname? Rah is cute 🥰

Chapter 33: I am so enjoying the lack of Tayo in scenes but my god Aurora stop bringing him up!! Astralists can slow down time??? That’s so cool

Chapter 34: a life without swimming would be an awful life. Theo is the primary? Dark wee horse there

Chapter 35: Kannon can’t kiss Lilliam he’s right she’s far too young. I would have pizza what sort of freak chooses casserole over pizza???

Chapter 36: a civilian in the institute? Why did I think it would be locked and people couldn’t get in? I can’t help but think Kannon would be a great match for Rah she would finally have someone that would stand up to her.

Chapter 37: ohh with their high profile - this made me giggle 🤭 why should pax hate Brindan, Brindan did them all a favour. Aurora is a moaning little bitch. I think I like her again then she says stupid Tayos name and I’m like nope not today. Theo is taking all of this in his stride bless him!

Chapter 38: this remilliar is giving them what for and I love it 🤣.

Chapter 39: get over it Aurora, god im complaining as much as she is, but fucking hell she is frustrating

Chapter 40: my heart is breaking for pax 😭😭😭

Chapter 41: why is pax being so nice to her when all she does is talk about Tayo honestly fuck her, you can do better pax!!
OMG IM ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT

Chapter 42: “I’m not calling you seioh anymore”

Chapter 43: I KNEW JENNSON KNEW SOMETHING NOT ONLY DOES HE KNOW SOMETHING HES A PRIMARY. PAX IS NOW THE PRIMARY OMG HE SO DESERVES THIS MY LITTLE ANGEL MAN

Major questions:
Was Tayo caught as a kid and working with Boulderfell? I still don’t trust this man
Who is Tayos mum and why did she call? How did she know he would be in his penthouse that night when he was always at the institute?
Where is maximum security? Why does she think it’s like Juvie? Surely not surely it’s like 23 hours a day in your cell. Are pax’s parents held together and what branches are they - do they know they have magic?
Why is Aurora such a reckless idiot?
Who did Jennson win the games with i need more about his betrothed
Where was Nanny K when Aurora was being bullied
Did Jennson swap out the truth serum for something else?
When will we go to Auroras parents home?
Seioh J has amazing control hiding from Seioh B
How did Ryker not constantly notice his friends missing where has he been and what’s he been up to during their sessions
So we agree Jennson knows about Tayo?

I liked the world building, adding more to the previous magic.
I felt some key conversations and character building moments could have happened.

Overall, i enjoyed it and I would recommend for anyone interested in dystopian fantasy/sci-fi stories, young adult.

I'm excited for future books, to see more magic and learn how some things fit together.

This series gets better and better every book that releases. It still baffles me how this could possibly be a debut series because it reads like it was written by a well practiced author. The world is entirely unique, with a lot of continuous building but it never starts to feel overwhelming or exhausting. New characters are added all the time but you grow to love (or hate🫠) each one of them. My feelings on the characters change chapter by chapter because this author does such a great job highlighting the good and bad in each one. Nobody is perfect and (mostly) everybody is just doing the best they can. Aurora inability to focus on anything is so relatable and endearing.
Now, I'm keeping this spoiler free but honestly ... why did she have to do me like that at the end! I loved .. but they .. and it's not cool that .. they didn't deserve ... but HE ...
Okay I kinda saw HIM coming but not the rest! Also all the new info re: Puracordis vs Puramensa was really interesting and I hope book 4 dives right into that. What do we think the trinket is/was? Side note, in my imagination Kannon is the hottest in the bunch and I low key wish I was our girl Lil. That is all.

Oh wait ... what's the deal with the memory wisp? Are we EVER going to see it or is it going to die at the bottom of the Seioh's drawer. Smh.

10 out of 10, definitely recommend. KEEP THEM COMING PLEASE 🙏

Amazing continuation of the story! I’ve been dying for this book since I finished the last one a while ago. This was a true emotional rollercoaster for me. Still loving the love triangle!! I still have to say Pax is my favorite of the two. My heart broke for Aurora with that went on with Tayo. The three of them been through so much. And her not having the emotions for so long. It definitely took a toll of her love interests and friends.

Seriously that ending??? I need to know what’s going to happen next. Does she get back the wisps necklace too??

I still have to say that the world building and magical elements just continues to get more and more amazing through this series.

As always Queen Roxy keeps us on the edge of our seats. This is the third book in the series so I shall not say too much about it.

Aurora my god! Is she a tab annoying in this one? You can't have both of them!
Pax please stop being nice to her all the time, I feel she will stamp all over your heart and you deserve so much more! (Please don't hurt Pax)

What is the Queen's game plan?!

So much action and drama as always, we uncover some more truths about some major characters.

My god the plot twist at the end!! When does book four come out?! Please be soon!

(Leave Tayo where he is... we don't need him... thanks)

Since losing her magic, Aurora has become an emotionless and uncaring shadow of her former self. Distancing herself from most of her friends, she continues to skirt with catastrophe in her dealings with Seoih Jennson.

A betrayal by a friend pushes Aurora further away. Can she overcome her situation and get the Guidal prophesy back on track.

Aurora is a complex character. I'm rooting for her to succeed but she can be sooooo annoying. Her attitude gets her in trouble time after time. The supporting characters of Pax and Tayo provide a counter balance which prevents Aurora's personality from spoiling the narrative.

The Boulderfells give something for the reader to hiss at, which also helps negate the unappealing parts of Aurora. But even these are not your typical antagonists and add yet a further level of nuance to the whole.

There are things I'd love to say about this book (all good) but not without revealing spoilers so I'll leave the reader to discover these bits for themselves. Suffice it to say that there are reveals within the final third that bring sense to the rest of the series.

I was expecting the series to end as a trilogy but by the end I was delighted to find that there will, at least, be a book 4

A thoroughly enjoyable series

Book three of the Guidal series - YA, New Adult

The Guidal: Saving Light by Roxy Eloise is an exciting continuation of Aurora’s education as well as the trials and tribulations within her school. As the characters in Aurora’s extended circle navigate the dangers of knowledge, friendships with the powerful and those without, following rules and pushing boundaries, they are expected to settle into life as dictated by their age and level of responsibility. As Aurora’s desire to find the truth hidden within her dystopian world, she must make difficult choices that can change everything she holds dear for not only herself but many others.

Can it all be saved with so much at stake?

Since that one night, Aurora isn’t herself any more, in more than just one way. That night literally and figuratively scarred her, making her friends worry if the Aurora they all love will ever return. Because of that night, Aurora went into self – protection modus, and hasn’t allowed to just feel anymore. Not only that, but she has also become reckless, at the risk of losing everything and jeopardizing everyone. However, also the Guidal – prophecy is in jeopardy, and a Puracordis – free world is more and more becoming reality. So will Aurora find the strength, the courage and the force together with her friends to find the balance of Puracordis and become the Guidal she is?

You may know that I am not a big fan of magical stories. Yet there is, at least in my mind, a difference between the magic of makes cakes appear from nothing or creating a whole dress for a ball and the magic in a dystopian world, where such powers are chased and ‘taken care off’…

Yet I was very curious to return to visit this dystopian world, and see what would happen next to Aurora, especially after how Book Number 2 ended.

My heart broke to read how the attack Aurora survived previously changed her. And I have to admit, I didn’t really like this new Aurora. Of course it makes complete sense that such an attack changes a person. But how Aurora behaves afterwards, is so out of character for her, she truly made it difficult for me to keep sympathizing with her…

Living in a dystopian world is not easy, especially in the world Aurora is living in. So many rules, so many laws to follow, without much freedom at all. Even the partner you will marry is chosen for you.
And calling Aurora a rebel wouldn’t explain her complete character, but she is different from everyone else, and she has a strong mind of her own.

Yet also in this book, we see her rather young age. She is torn apart, not only between her love interests, but also between what the right thing to do is, or just be the young woman she is, following the rules, without having to pay for the consequences of her actions (and as a follower, there wouldn’t be any surprising actions of course…)

While Aurora’s world is falling apart, she can always count on the support of the people that love her, no matter how difficult she makes it for them. For me, that meant that no matter what world you are living in, no matter how out of character you may act, love will always be around, one way or another.

In this book, there is so much threat going on, and this time, from several sides. Not only is there Seioh Boulderfell’s mission to have a world where there is no Puracordis, but also the threat coming from unexpected corners, from the  Kalmayans, ready to take Aurora just out of the picture.

Through flashbacks, or rather Aurora’s ‘out of mind’ experiences, we get to understand how her dystopian world came to fruition. And I think that is an important aspect of the book too, because we read how one event can change the whole course of the world, and how it can change everything we knew.

In this book we see how young people are growing up very fast, while still learning more about themselves, their feelings while trying to understand the world they are living in. Meanwhile they have to literally fight to save themselves and those around them. Yet this isn’t a story where there are no consequences to be paid for actions. And prices need to be paid, in even terrible, devastating ways…
But even those terrible moments never managed to make me turn away from the book, because I just had the urgence to know what would happen next…

Hold on. I need a minute.

First of all, thank you so much for the author, Roxy Eloise to sending the eARC of this book. ✨

This book, no, this series is just amazing. It really gets better and better with every book. I loved the first one, and the second one too, and I loved even more the third one, tho I wasn't sure that this was possible.
Like in the previous books, loving the character developments, that we slowly but surely figuring out why Ryker were so close to match with Aurora. I didn't think this guy will sneak into my heart, but he can be so sweet, oh, he is the morally grey villain guy, we readers are so in love with and believe we can change them. So yeah, Roxy creates really amazing side characters too, and I just mentioned one, I could list them all, but if I'd do that we'd be here for a while, so I won't do that. But Brindan, I could so punch him in the face.
They're still stupid teenagers with their stupid decisions, sometimes I was so mad at them because of it, but it's fine, because I still love them. Despite they have to learn to communicate with each other straight forward, especially Aurora. We could've avoided so much trouble if they've just opened their mouth.
Still loving this magic system and that we slowly puting the pieces together and every bit we learn more and more about it. But we still need some information to see the full picture.
The tension and twists and turnes are so on point in this book too. I just wanted to read faster, because I had to know what's going to happen next. Also almost sreamed when I reached the end, because I have to know what's next. I. JUST. NEED. TO. KNOW. I'm addicted.

So, in my previous reviews I just poletily recommended the books, but now... Just what are you doing if you're still not reading The Guidal series?!

Aurora and the Boulderfell Institute crew are back in Saving Light. The book, the third in Roxy Eloise’s dystopian fantasy series, The Guidal, opens with our lead character, Aurora, not acting like herself. In addition to a changed appearance, our typically tempestuous heroine has become emotionally distant and more erratic than usual.

The love triangle between Aurora, Tayo and Pax is reignited and more intense than before. There are also new characters who help mix things up a bit.

While I'm still a fan of this series, Saving Light wasn’t my favorite of the three books. Although there are storyline reasons for it, Aurora comes across as more annoying and immature in this book, which affected my reading enjoyment. It led to me feeling like the book could have been shorter.

One constant I have loved about this series is how well developed the fictional society is. Eloise continues to prove she’s an expert world-builder as we see enhancements and intricacies added to daily life at Boulderfell Institute. She also again excels at a cliffhanger ending, leaving you wanting — ok, absolutely needing — to know what will happen next.

Despite feeling like Saving Light was longer than it needed to be, I was intrigued by the ending and am interested to see what Eloise has in store for us in book 4. I hope we get to see more of Nanny Kimly and find out who Roar chooses.

Thank you to Roxy Eloise and Entrada Publishing for providing a free e-review copy in exchange for an honest review.

I still, at the end of each chapter, stop and think to myself what an amazing movie series this could be.

And I personally want to cast Pax, and take him home 🤣🤣

I remain, true and loyal, 100% team Pax. But I have to say that in this 3rd book, Tayo’s situation firmly tugged at my heartstrings.

There’s a lot of tension going on, a lot of magical discoveries, but also a lot of self awareness and realisation. It’s fantastic to look back and see how the characters have grown since book one - but don’t worry, Aurora still has plenty of her sometimes immature, but generally warranted, outbursts.

As with the other books, there is friendship, romance, suspense and intrigue, plus of course, action. The bullying theme in this was dealt with so well, and I found the guilt Aurora feels when her bullies are punished quite revealing.

She genuinely does have a heart of gold, but she finds herself in impossible positions.

I need more, and I’d implore you all to give these books a go. Any fans of the hunger games, maze runner, divergent etc are just going to adore The Guidal series. And for romance lovers, it doesn’t get more enchanting than the steamy little triangle that is Aurora, Pax, and Tayo

This series!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!

Couldn’t wait to get my hands on book 3 and get back into the world of the institute/Puracordis life. This book world has been on my mind 24/7 and I feel like I know the characters in real life.

An emotional rollercoaster of a book! Lots of questions and theories I had from book 2 were answered which was veeeery exciting but they’ve now been replaced with one million new questions. How I’ll cope waiting for book 4 I’ll never know.

As always, the ending was phenomenal. Roxy certainly loves a dramatic end and I am HERE for it. Moments of heartbreak, joy and hope throughout.
I’m feeling positive about some of my favourite characters and their stories going forwards. I’m hoping that certain people are more interwoven into the story too.

Just so magical to find a world that’s really hooked me. I feel so engrossed and part of the world (as much as I would lovely a fluffy little familiar of my own and meal dispenser access, I’m very much glad that I’m not living in the institute). Can’t wait to see where this goes! I’m sure the girls and I will end up having a reading party when book 4 comes out - we’re too excited!

Thank you so much Roxy for sending me an ARC copy ✨

The Guidal Saving Light was an amazing third book in this young adult dystopian fantasy series.

I really enjoyed how dynamic Aurora's character is in the book. I loved seeing her grow and adapt as she is faced with difficult and emotional decisions, mysterious visions, and heartbreaking premonitions.

I was so hooked on the story. The parkour games continue to be a favourite part of this series for me. There were unexpected allies, heartbreaking betrayal, and tons twists and turns. This story me all over the place emotionally; laugher, anger, and even crying a couple times.

I love that with each book in the series, readers get to learn more about the unique magic system. I love how complex and intricate it has become. I loved that we also get to explore the history of magic in this story too. The history loving part of me really enjoyed these parts.

The ending to this book was both surprising and heartbreaking. I have so many questions and cannot wait to continue this series.

Thank you, Roxy, for the ARC copy of The Guidal: Saving Light. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

If you want to spend 150 pages reading about a girl who wants to have sex with every guy she sees and constantly breaking rules after being told it is her last chance, then have I got the book for you.

I have never particularly enjoyed the character of Aurora, but once she loses her emotions, she went from bad to worse. There were many times I wanted to put this book down, but I felt like I couldn’t give it a fair review without completing it and I hate to DNF something. 500 pages is a loooong time to wait for a character to turn it around and I’d say only the last 30 pages or so were somewhat redeeming. Otherwise it would have been a one star for me. I can only read so many pages on how sexy a guy helping put in contacts is before you’ve lost me.

I see the premise and am intrigued by the ideas within this society, but I just don’t know that even that is worth the investment this size book requires when I spend so much time begging for it to get on with it already.

**Book Review**
The Guidal - Saving light

Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Ever since that traumatic night, Aurora hasn’t been herself.
Her indifference and recklessness have left her friends bewildered, watching the girl they love slip away."

I didn't love the start of the book, purely because of the change in Aurora character. I understand it's a key part of the story, but I struggled to get on board.

The second half of the book I enjoyed much more.

Writing style ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Similar to the other 2 books of the series, the book is well written.
I like that there is minimal fuss and straight into story. All killer, no filler!

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️
My least favourite of the trilogy, but I still enjoyed it.
The ending was brutal and sad and I'm looking forward to the next book.
Kinda of glad Tayo ended up out of the story for a while. I liked seeing Pax and Aurora relationship develop, as Pax is clearly the better choice!

Roxy has done it again, the third instalment in The Guidal series did not disappoint. This book was *chefs kiss* - honestly, perfection.

I love Roxy’s writing, I say it every time but the depth to the world, the characters, the story. It’s all put together with such care and attention. You are fully immersed in it all, it’s so easy to visualise.

The plot of this entire book had me going through every emotion possible and the ending like all of them has left me speechless. I will be processing this book for days and weeks to come. I cannot wait to see where this goes from here.

If you haven’t read this series, do it. I can promise you, you’ll love it. It’s available on kindle unlimited.

Thank you to Roxy for the ARC.

Thank you Roxy Eloise for this early review copy of your book!

I absolutely love the world and magic in this series. I have to admit that the romance, hooking up, and Aurora's attraction to every man with muscles is not my cup of tea, but that's also not normally the type of books I read. If you're like me with this and here for the magic and fantasy, just hold tight until the second half of the book. I started to really get into it once the story started focusing more on the magic and diving into its history. The twist at the end (no spoilers) I sort of predicted or at least had some similar thoughts before it happened, but I cannot wait to see how it will affect the fourth book and what is to come!

First, I want to express my gratitude to Roxy Eloise, for giving me the opportunity to read "Saving Light." Ahead of time, now onto the review :
More of the same, it might seem weird to use that expression in a positive review, and yet here we are, what I am saying is that, Aurora's interactions with her friends and non-friends, it's not too different as to what we see in previous books, don't get me wrong, the characters grow, but within themselves they remain, I hope I'm making sense, sorry I can't go into details without spoilers, all that aside I like Pax better now than before, also Aurora needs lots of cold showers. 🤭

I read this as an early beta reader and an arc reader.

Saving Light is the third book in this series.

The ending was satisfying but also made me want to know more. I think that’s one of Roxy’s greatest strengths as an author. I could feel pummelled like I was in a round of the games but reading the next chapter, the next part of the story pulled earlier moments together into an understanding that still left questions.

The characters are realistically done, even if this world isn’t our time. You are going to have a favourite team, a favourite to cheer on, a favourite to hate. The world inside the world is well-developed and the pacing, fantastic.

Omg this was a rollercoaster! More world building, new characters and so many secrets. Emotionless Aurora is playing around too much, I definitely support her but she can get annoying. Oh Pax, my heart goes out for him. Puramensa vs Puracordis is very interesting and I definitely need more of it. And the memory wisp??? It's either something crucial or sentimental, it just can't remain in Seioh's drawer.
Thanks again Roxy for the ARC!!! I am absolutely in love with this series and I really can't wait for what happens next!!!

Roxy Eloise does it again, The Guidal: Saving Light is the third offering from this series and sees Aurora struggling with things more than ever thanks to bullies, too many loves in her life and the continued battle to understand her abilities.
The writing of this book is once again amazing and the story has a great flow that works well and enables the reader to be drawn in and turning page after page without realising the time that has passed until they reach the end of this and sit waiting for the next in the series.

I definitely enjoyed The Guidal: Saving Light. These books, they just keep geting better! This futuristic, magical series is a very enjoyable read and while I had a hard time getting through the change in the main characters personality at the beginning of the book, I absolutely loved the book as a whole. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series to find out what will happen to all of the characters.

This is the third book in the series, and I have to say my favourite. It took me way longer to finish this book than it should have, but that's my fault. I hope there's going to be another book as I am not ready to leave this world behind yet. Although I did miss Tayo I did like seeing her relationship with Pax grow and see more of the other character.

Spoiler below!!!!

Spoiler I'd love to read about Tayos point of view in max security. Please!

Aurora’s character was a struggle for me in this book, I hadn’t struggled with her previously, always making myself remember how young she is, however this one she was just a bitch, I get why but I hated seeing that side of her!

Jennson is a star I don’t care what you say, I will fight to Serve, Honour, Protect and Defend him

Ryker - page 395, my heart BROKE

I would like a Tilly of my own, please and thanks

The ending was *chefs kiss* perfection!

Another great addition to this series which is coming out next month, still love Aurora's cheeky character and her friendships make the series really wholesome and enjoyable to read. The world building in this series is impressive. Can't wait for book 4!

Roxy has done it again! I am absolutely in love with this universe, and I need more! It was so nice to be introduced to more puracordis members in this book, and my love for Pax and Auroras relationship is growing rapidly!

I put off reading this book for the longest time after finishing book 2 because I just didn’t want the series to come to a end🥺

This book was so thought out, well written, interesting, attention holding, moreish and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
What a beautiful book this was! Roxy used this book to continue with book two and did an incredible job!!
We got to see more of the characters from the previous books, we got twists and turns and now perspectives thrown our way. The entirety of this book I was guessing the story line and I was enjoying playing the game of ‘will I be right?’

Not a bad word to say about this. The chapter legnths were perfect, the story line was perfect, the character building was perfect. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the fact it’s ended and I have to wait for book 4!!
