What do you do when you have to choose between true love and the love of money?
Blu thinks she knows all there is to know about the dope game. She's watched her momma serve out of the same place they lay their heads since she was a little girl. Then her brother's best friend, Budz, steps up and shows her that there is more to the game than just selling drugs.
With love, loyalty, and wealth on her side, what more could she want? Blu quickly finds out when she is introduced to Black, a mysterious, sexy Trinidadian who is every girl's dream. Blu is determined to make him her reality. Torn between two men who have secrets and motives of their own, Blu has no idea what she's gotten herself into, but she knows there is only one way out.

Brandi Johnson the first time author who rose up on the scene by accident. Brandi picked up on her love for writing at a young age, but never in a million years dreamed that any of her work would ever get published. With an imagination so strong and vivid as hers, she decided to put it to the test. She became serious about her passion for writing and that's when her first novel "Spoiled Rotten" was born.

Brandi had almost given up on her dream but her heart and God wouldn't let her. She was introduced to her Editor/Agent Joylynn Jossel, to whom she is grateful to have in her corner. God took her by one hand and Joylynn Jossel by the other hand and they walked Brandi down a road that ended with a book deal.

Brandi has since written the novel "In My Girls I Trust" and a short story named "Hayden's Song" that can be found in the collaboration "Even Sinners Still Have Souls."

Brandi resides in Mansfield, Ohio where she is the busy mother of three boys and is currently working on another novel.

This book really displayed the grimy side of the drug game. What I do know is sometimes it’s your own family plotting against you and your downfall. This book is about a girl named Blu that had to grow up fast and learned hard lessons young. I listened to this on audiobook and I do love the actor. If you want a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat this is the book for you.

Interesting story line and style of writing. I really enjoyed it although the twists and turns were more or less predictable.

I enjoyed Powder Blu. I downloaded on Audible and it was included in my membership. I enjoyed all the drama. This book reminds you that you don't need friends like them (whoever them may be to you).

This was written in first person but u didn't know who was speaking until u got a few sentences into the paragraph. It was kind of predictable but my issue was a 16 yr old kingpin taking over a whole city. Other than that, I was entertained

This was an interesting rollercoaster of events for Blu. She became just as grimy as the people before her and to live and die in the drug game was the destiny for many that came across her path. This book was well written, tragic and believable for the most part. I enjoyed it.

I like the story but it was very predictable. Looking forward too a part 2. The betrayal in this story is sad from the cracked Rape, homosexual lover , prison underdog and the Jamaican lover.
