The Quest for the scroll opens where the Bible begins and follows the life of St. Martin, who continued Jesus’ healing mission in France around 397 A.D. The main character, the courageous young man, Marcus, finds himself at odds with the church because of his focus on how Jesus healed and performed his miracles, and he starts teaching these beliefs to the monks. This makes an enemy of the self-serving Bishop, who jails him and his friend as heretics. Managing to escape the brutal prison, Marcus meets and falls in love with Cynde, an inn-keeper’s daughter, who chooses to accompany him on his dangerous mission. During the many exciting scenes and brushes with death, Marcus attempts to save the original scroll of St. Martin, and the book ends with a furious battle. This is much more than a fast-paced novel, it is a must-read for those who want an in-depth study of the Bible. Highly Recommended.

Full if scripture and swear words

First off, I love novels with scripture, but from the start, this one felt pushy, as if the author (honestly wondering if this was AI written) had a big agenda. Then, characters are swearing at one another. My teens and I were listening to the audio book, and immediately shut it off. If your looking for a clean Christian read, this is not it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Spiritual Fantasy
⭐️ | Christian Fiction

Quest for the Scroll works far better as spiritual fantasy than as Christian fiction. The medieval setting and sense of mystical faith are engaging, but the theology leans Gnostic, with Scripture often applied out of context. Clean, atmospheric, and thoughtfully written—just not theologically sound. Read with genre clarity.
