As someone very connected to SIUE- and thus to Mr Kendall- I can’t help but love this book! He is known for his work with Suzuki but he had such an interesting and worthwhile to hear about life before he even met Suzuki. After Suzuki- we can definitely say the string teaching world of the US was forever changed by Mr Kendall. We Suzuki teachers, students, and families owe so much to him, and those of us related to SIUE still appreciate his legacy there.

Interesting...especially when he mentions the early days of Suzuki teaching in the US and the music department at SIUE.
