Spirit witch Sadie Lewis has never been a powerful witch. Her only talent is being able to feel other peoples’ emotions while she sings. It’s what has kept her from pursuing a musical career. The idea of turning into an empath while in the middle of a crowded concert venue is terrifying. But when the perfect deal comes around, she can’t refuse. Only now she’s been teamed up with King McGrath, a boy from her past who she hurt badly and it appears there’s nothing she can do to make it right.

Rocker King McGrath hasn’t had the easiest life. After being kicked out of his home as a teen for his unusual abilities and then being scammed by his first business manager, trust is hard to come by. He’s worked mostly on his own for every bit of success he’d managed. When he finally lands a fair contract that has him on the cusp of making it big, the only problem is he’s being forced to work with the one person whose betrayal hurt him more than anyone else. Now he’s moments from walking away from it all.

But when King and Sadie accidentally cast a spell over the town of Keating Hollow, they’ll both need to find a way to work together to undo it and restore the magical order to the special town they’ve both come to love. And just maybe they’ll find a way to heal past wounds and get the happily-ever-after they both deserve.

Dealing With a Curse . . .

Sadie Lewis, a spirit witch working a waitress job, has always wanted to be a singer. What holds her back is the fact that she is an empath with a beautiful voice who feels emotions most strongly when singing. Her voice touches the audience but their reaction overwhelms her. However, when she gets an offer she can’t refuse, she ends up working with singer King McGrath once again after several years of being apart. She had hurt him and he does not welcome her back in his world. He no longer trusts her. He is also dealing with his money-grabbing mother who won’t leave him in peace. When he doesn’t hand over the latest money demand, she threatens him that Sadie will continue to suffer with an unfortunate malady until she gets the money. Did he really curse her, or is she hoping the threat will get her what she wants?

Can King working together with Sadie begin to heal them from their own past and give them another chance to be together doing what they love most through music? Already the current popularity and success of their music seems to be turning things around for King. But can they help deal with a curse on the town of Keating Hollow that Sadie thinks she may have caused as the change in the collective energy in the room seemed like everyone was possessed under a magic spell? Somehow as they were singing that night, Sadie feared her empathic skills may have caused everyone to go a little crazy. King thought she could be partially right since the audience acted that way once when he sang. And he suspects his mother had cursed Sadie as a form of blackmail to have it happen this time. Can they restore order once again with a healer if they confirm his mother’s curse was the cause? Is it their turn now to finally find a HEA this time around?

"Song of the Witch," the 16th book in the Witches of Keating Hollow series, is a magical and heartwarming read. Deanna Chase continues to captivate readers with her enchanting storytelling. The protagonist, Sadie Lewis, is a spirit witch with a unique gift. She can feel other people's emotions, especially when she sings.

Sadie's empathic abilities add depth to her character. Her journey is both relatable and inspiring. She faces the challenge of balancing her powers with her dreams. The idea of performing in crowded concert venues is daunting. Yet, Sadie finds herself accepting a deal she cannot refuse.

Her story takes an interesting turn when she teams up with King McGrath. He is someone from her past whom she hurt badly. Their past relationship adds emotional tension to the narrative. Sadie and King must navigate their past wounds. The journey towards forgiveness and understanding is compelling. However, things get complicated when King’s mother puts a curse on Sadie.

Chase excels at character development. Sadie's growth throughout the book is noteworthy. The supporting characters also add richness to the story. Each has their unique quirks and backstories, enhancing the plot.

The setting of Keating Hollow is vividly portrayed. Chase's descriptive writing brings the magical town to life. The blend of romance, magic, and personal growth is well-balanced. The pacing is just right, keeping readers engaged from start to finish.

Themes of forgiveness, self-acceptance, and the power of empathy are central to the story. "Song of the Witch" delves into these themes with sensitivity and insight. The book's emotional depth resonates with readers.

Overall, "Song of the Witch" is a delightful addition to the series and a must-read for fans of paranormal romance. Deanna Chase has once again delivered an enchanting and heartwarming story.

Wow! Amazing story! I absolutely loved it. And I'm amazed that the author can write book number 16 in the series and it was possibly the best book of the series. But then again with the Witches of Keating Hollow series I say this every time! This author is one of my favourites and I read everything she publishes.

Sadie and King's story was heartfelt and emotional. They knew each other in the past when they were younger but Sadie's disappearance did a number on Kevin (King). Excellent story and characters. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

The author brings us to Keating Hollow and the town residents are of a magical nature. The author does an excellent job of bringing the town to life. So much so that I want to live in the town of Keating Hollow. Trust me when I say this, you won't be disappointed picking up this series if you like witches and magical towns.

Run to your nearest library, bookstore or computer and get this series. You won't be disappointed.
Highly recommend

I always enjoy my return to Keating Hollow and this was no exception. I love how, with a few paragraphs, Ms. Chase creates both the friends you wish your had in your life AND the parents you are happy you did NOT have in your life.

Sadie is a hard-working waitress who is burning the candle at both ends trying to repair her house, so when she gets the opportunity to fix her porch (literally) by singing a song, she jumps at the opportunity. Too bad she is paired in a duet with a man she ghosted years ago when she was a teenager. Can she right the wrongs from almost a decade ago or will fate tear them apart once again.

This book was pure joy and I can't wait to read the next installment. I love how Ms. Chase has continued to build this series past the original family, while continuing to give us updates as they flit in and out of the stories.

When Sadie discovers she will be singing alongside with her long lost love, King McGrath things are a bit rocky. But things quickly turn into a sort of friendship as the duo get to know one another and confess what truly happened between them and their family secrets. Unfortunately for King, his mother is up to no good and Cin curses Sadie. I thought the story was interesting and found how the curse took root was very interesting and hilarious. I laughed a few times in some scenes. The narrator, Gabra Zachman does a wonderful job portraying all of the characters in the series. I don’t have any trouble following along and can tell who is speaking a few chapters in. This series is perfect for fans of family drama, romance, and a bit of hocus pocus. I can’t wait for the next one!

A very special thanks to the author for the gifted copy.

Song of The Witch by Deanna Chase 10/28/24 Pub (11/3/)
Sadie & King

They have a history and not a good one. Their present could be so much more if they can get past their problem. His music career needs a boost. The opportunity is there IF he sings with Sadie. Little does he know their issues aren't all that makes her hesitate. She's an empath. A huge audience could be more than she can handle.

The situation changes when a town-wide curse interferes. Can they team up to help the town and their careers? What about their feelings for each other?

We get to visit old friends and see how their lives are progressing. Don't worry if you are new to the series, this can stand alone.

Enjoy. I did.

Awesome story to add to the Keating Hollow series. This story about King and Sadie was sweet and also a bit exciting. Paired together to record a song, they literally make magic when they sing together. Unfortunately, King's mother has ideas of her own and when King refuses to give her 50K, she curses Sadie causing all kinds of problems.

The love story between Sadie and King was sweet and I really loved them together. Their witchy adventures were a lot of fun to read as well. The writing is good as always and the story flowed very well.

Sadie's bestie, Melissa and King's bestie Briggs are causing sparks of their own and seem to be the subjects of the next book. I'm looking forward to that one next summer.

This was an awesome story, which really is nothing new for Deanna Chase all of her books are awesome but this story was totally un-put-downable.
Sadie and King absolutely beautiful together and not just when they sing. These two have a truly beautiful relationship that may have started in their teens but it solidified as adults and has become unbreakable especially once Kings mother was dealt with.
What did I enjoy the most!!! The cheesecake 😂😂😂 which I’m now craving and always being back in Keating Hollow.
Was there anything I didn’t enjoy? Nope unless it was watching Kings mum be cursed for a change but hey we can’t have it all.

Sometimes books in this series really hit the spot, and this is one such book. I just absolutely loved the romance between King and Sadie, and I loved how the book progressed to the curse. Including that was the glimpse of past characters that I was very happy to see. I was rooting for both characters from the beginning to the ATV end. LOL! I always know that I’ll get a sweet romance and great writing from this author, and this definitely has that and more. Fans of this series will love this latest addition. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Song of the Witch is such a great book!! I read it in less than 24 hours and only stopped reading down when I had no choice. Because I did not want to stop reading it until I was finished with it. King & Sadie didn't have an easy time of it from when they me when they were teenagers until they finally got together. Even then they had forces working against them, mainly King's mother. But love always wins in the end. Or does it? This is a book that I know I'll be happily reading again! Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Sadie & King ❤️

This was a very emotional story. Both Sadie and King carry baggage from their past. They knew each other when they were younger but were torn apart. Their first meeting was an explosion of anger on King’s side because he didn’t know why Sadie had left all those years ago. Between their music, raw emotions and a curse, they had a lot to work through to get to their happy ending.

Keating Hollow is one of my favorite fictional places. I would love to live there. The author never disappoints with her story telling. Can’t wait for Melissa and Briggs’ story!

Curses, Mayhem, and Spice and Everything Nice

I can always count on Deann Chase and the witches of Keating Hollow to leave me with all the warm puzzles we all could use right now. There is always a little drama, a lot of passion and some magic that causes chaos in each book. All of those qualities are present for Sadie and King's story. I was cheering for them from the beginning. Since I know I will always get an HEA I just had to ride out the rollercoaster of emotions and what a ride it was.

Heart wrenching childhoods with a side of a youthful budding romance lost before truly began. The art & magic of music bringing the lost loves back for an additional try with a sprinkle of drama mixed in. The characters are likable and believable and the story is interesting and entertaining. The narrator did a good job with bringing the story to life! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was such an awesome book! Sadie and King quickly jumped to my favorite couple spot. The heat, passion, respect they have for one another, is amazing. Watching them work through the problems that spring up, while balancing work and their rekindled romance has you cheering them on every step of the way. I love the Keating Hollows series, everything is so real that you feel like you're right in the middle of the story, you know the characters personally. Can't wait for the next book!

A Siren's Song

King and Sadie are magic together, my only complaint about this book is it was too short. The characters are pure magic together, each Deanna Chase story, each Deanna Chase character weaves their own spell on each page you read to pull you into the world of Keatings Hollow by your heart strings.

I loved the book about Sadie and King. A story of love torn apart by a Father and a Evil Mother had me on the edge of my seat. Add in a curse and it was quite a ride. Watching them bond over very sad youth and re find the love they shared was great read. Looking forward to the next book in the series. This is a must read book.

What a great book. Love the cover. We back visiting our friends in Keating Hollow. This story is about Sadie. Her empathy skills work for and against her. The town is cursed. There are people who don't seem to be great for Sadie and a whole lot of drama. At the end will Sadie be able to find happiness with the choices she has to make?

I have enjoyed every addition to the keating hollow series. As a middle aged adult I would like the spice rather than just the general references but I will continue the series regardless. I did feel this one got a little rushed towards the end. It definitely had the potential to be expanded a bit more. Hopefully Briggs’ story will slow down a bit.

Incredible Series!

I have loved this series from book 1 and book 16 did not disappoint! I love the style of writing, the couples who have history and find their way back to one another, the storylines and just the characters that make Keating Hollow what it is. I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone looking for a good read with a HEA!
