The only life Dove McKenna has ever known has been one of the open road. She lives with her parents and brother in a show wagon, traveling from town to town performing. While people are happy to pay them for their entertainment they dismiss them as 'gyppos' and 'thieves' behind their backs. After her mother's death, Dove finally gets the chance to go to school, only to encounter prejudice from pupils, teachers and parents.

What a little treasure this book was . I picked it up in a local bargain homeware store for a fraction of the usual price and what a treat
I loved the story of Dovina the travelling entertainer and her life from her early teens onwards with her brother in their ornate gypsy waggon
It's a fictional romance but there were some chapters that were particularly graphic and harrowing to read so a warning to anyone of a sensitive nature to be prepared
All in all a thoroughly good read and recommended to any lover of romantic fiction
