Crimes on the coast require a different type of justice!
After nearly twenty years of service, Sheriff Jack Harrington is moving down to Key Biscayne, Florida; a lovely slice of paradise right off the coast of Miami, where he can take it easy, live the good life, and be closer to his daughter.
When one of his old friends is murdered, though, Jack finds himself thrust into a cyclone of danger, death, and intrigue that stretches farther than he ever could have imagined as he hunts down his friend’s killer. It almost seems like too much to handle alone, but Jack isn’t on his own for long.
Headed up by his old flame, The Coastal Crime Unit is a covert team of people uniquely qualified to handle the sorts of crimes that always seem to wash up on paradise’s shores. They want Jack to join them, and together, they just might find the answers he’s been looking for. Or they’ll die trying.
One Bridge Too Far is Book Number one in the all new Coastal Crime Unit Series by bestselling Sea Adventure author Mark Stone. If you like the works of Wayne Stinnet, Matthew Reif, and Matt Lincoln, you’ll love this pulse pounding adventure set against Florida's beautiful Atlantic Coastline. Grab it today!
Quick easy read. Light on mystery/plotline but not bad enough to DNF. Kat is not particularly a likeable character especially with her history with Jack but perhaps she gets better in future books.
I read several books a week & I'm always looking for a new author; someone that writes well. This book & author? Not. I seldom write a review, unless the book is very good...or very bad. It's not just the editing & misspelled words. The characters are one dimensional. The dialogue is stiff & trite. The story line is predictable. In truth, I couldn't finish it. I'm not annoyed that it has taken hours of my time that I will never get back, but I have to give some credit, where it is due, and so: this book is a stinker. I hope the author makes a few bucks from it, but doesn't quit his or her, "day job."
Really enjoyed the story. I suspected the mayor halfway through the book, but I love to have they handle it. Kept my interest the whole time. I can’t wait till I read the next book. Thank you for sharing this book with me Mr. Stone. Everybody should read this book.
Ah, Mr. Stone - overlooking the unique grammar, another enjoyable journey
Only the wonderful story-telling keeps me coming back for more of Mark Stone’s scribing; after one grievous loss after another, the latest occurring on the job, Jack Harrington forsakes Connecticut and relocates to Key Biscayne.
Despite his best intentions, havoc somehow ensues.
I barely got through this book. There are so many punctuation issues, missed spaces, wrong letters, incorrect capitalization. Whoever proofed this needs to go back to school.
The story was pretty good but I won't be reading any more of your books because of the above.
Not gonna be whining about the punctuation or the grammar, just wanna say I enjoyed another good book by a very entertaining author. It’s all about the escape you look for in a book, personally I read books instead of watching tv & this was far better than some lame ass reality show. Great job my man -thank you and keep em coming 🤛🏼🤙🏼🙏
I am sorry, but a crime unit office located in a greenhouse - the implausibility was a bit much. The story got better and more believable towards the end, but I very easily guessed who the crime boss was (much earlier in the story). I enjoyed the characters, but not quite sure of this series.
Why is it that all the crazies show up in Florida? (Actually...this time it's a Cuckoo) Shortly after moving to Florida to be closer to his daughter, the retired Sheriff witnesses a shooting in a drugstore.
Absolutely outstanding read. Couldn't put this down. Very good suspense as well as entertaining. Hid the Cuckoo well and some amazing characters of interest. You won't be disappointed.
Another great book from Mark Stone. So nice to have him back writing again after his family's loss. I love Mark's writing style and have enjoyed reading this book as much as his previous writings.
I enjoyed the way the lives of the characters are intertwined. Good plot that made me want to keep reading. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Character development is excellent. Story is creative. Drug users drive the suppliers. There will always be corrupt politicians, but seldom are brought to justice.
