Trials of a Morta

To Crave Truly

Rate this book
Have you ever felt responsible for the fate of the world?

I did and it was sitting heavy on my shoulders. The end is coming and I don't know whether I will save the world, or destroy it. With the help of my lovers and friends I was on a journey to discover my fate and I'm not 100% sure that I'll survive.

Join Lori in the last instalment of the Trials of a Morta series and find out what becomes of her and her men. This is an RH story which means that the FMC doesn't have to choose between her love interests. There is foul language, steamy scenes and some kickass characters who stand up and do what's right. To Crave Truly

First I want to say...absolutely loved the recap, I appreciate it so much. I have enjoyed this world so much. It's bittersweet saying goodbye to characters, this story will draw you in. I couldn’t put it down.

It's been a long wait for this final book in the series but it was worth it.
The author included a little recap at the beginning of the book but for me personally it wasn't enough. Because it has been a long time between the last book and this one I needed more of a refresh so I had a re-read (skim read) of the first three books and it did help, I enjoyed this book so much more because I took the time out to do that.
Mordecai now has Lori in his clutches and he has a plan to take down Lucifer. Lori is central to that plan but will she be able to resist Mordecai's orders as he is now her sire and compelled to obey her sire's orders?
This book was amazing! The characters have all evolved so much during this series and as the story unfolded I was glued to the pages willing for everything to turn out alright for Lori, her men and her friends. There is a heartbreaking moment near the end in the battle of the Blood Moon and yes I did cry and I am still crying now writing this review! Despite the heartbreak it was an amazing end to an epic series and one that I would be happy to read again and again

This book is the worst one in the series. Some of the tenets laid down in the other books no longer matter. For example every time Lucifer wanted to come to Earth the FMC had to consume a soul. In this book he just has to go to the portal room in the castle and badda-bing he's on Earth.

In book 2, it comes out that an angel was behind the missing witches/mages/magic. In book 3 the FMC inadvertently freeing some people from the pit of hell one of which has big revenge plans.

In this book, one of the big bads who supposedly is in cahoots with the angel and thereby responsible for all the problems could NOT possibly been able to do that. The person was locked in the pit of hell and therefore had no part in anything that happened in book 1 or 2. There are some serious rewriting of history in this book.

The ending is really lame and a total let down. The epic battle was in fact not an epic battle.

What an ending!

The wait is over and the rest of Lori's story is here. First, I want to give a huge thanks to the author for giving us a recap at the beginning of To Crave Truly. It helped to refresh the characters so I could jump right in and enjoy this book.

Lori whole world has been upended. Mordecai has changed her and now she has to deal with the consequences. Lucifer and the other are determined to do whatever they can to find her and free her from his grasp.

I love that there is plenty of suspense and action to ramp up the ending to this series. It really added to the determination that fills Lori and the others. And the way these characters love and support each was amazing. This was a very satisfying book to read and I really enjoyed these characters.

To Crave Truly is the fourth and final book in the Trials Of A Morta series by Bailey Grayson.

💜 mysteries
💜 fated mates
💜 why choose
💜 PNR
💜 🌶🌶🌶 spice

Lori is so confused when she wakes up. She doesn’t recognize her surroundings. In her effort to avoid any plans made by Mordecai, she seemed to have put herself unknowingly in his path. What is going to happen next? What about all of the crew? Are they ok? Where is Jasper? Why can’t she feel Lucifer?

This was a good ending to this series. I can’t believe it’s actually over. There were still so many twists and turns throughout the whole book that it definitely kept me on my toes. I liked how it wasn’t predictable and kept me pulled in. If you’re thinking about this series, pick it up and you won’t regret it.

This is a suspense-filled, action-packed, rollercoaster ride read! Nobody knows why, and we as readers are also wondering why, but Lori has to deal with Mordecai.. and boy it all comes out in the end!!

This book was a fantastic read. I have to say it was great to have a catchup at the beginning of the book- I always love having a refresher in a book series. The characters are amazing as always, the writing flows so well, and you can picture everything as the details are there and ring the story to life.

A fantastic book/series that I would recommend so much!! Bailey Grayson, you should be so proud of this!!

I have really enjoyed this entire series and was all too happy to dive back into it with this last story. Since it had been a while the recap was a fantastic refresher and I thought it was a great idea. It was mixed feelings going into this book knowing it was the last, but I was still excited to get into and see the ending these characters would get. I loved everything . I loved the growth and development we as readers got to see in the characters. With plenty of suspense, drama and action, the book wrapped things up fairly well and I look forward to seeing what this authour treats us with next!

The final book in Lori's story ties up all the loose ends, shows true characters, and generally offers a rich story full of twists and emotions. From Mordecai's puppet to her own powerful, united self, Lori proves what she is made of and how much love can one single person pack in their heart. For me it was a little difficult to recall all the details of what happened in the previous books, since substantial amount of time passed since I finished the previous book in the series, however it was still enjoyable and emotional read.

We are back with the last installment for Lori and her men in the Trials of a Morta series! To Crave Truly truly was an exceptional finish for these characters with edge-of-your-seat intensity. We still get tons of steam between Lori and all her guys throughout, which I of course adore, but it has all been leading up to this final confrontation. I also love that everything that has been left hanging eventually is all tied together to give us a powerful finale. It was really all a reader could want. All in all, I really enjoyed this series and this final read.

I love that there is a little recap at the beginning - it helped me remember where we were in the story!

This book was everything I wanted to be, it had those absolutely heart-wrenching moments that make the journey that much more intense.

Seeing the characters grow and evolve from the beginning to the end is an experience and the fact that it is paired with an action packed thriller of a plot pushes it to be absolutely fantastic.

After the ending I want to go back a re-read and see whether there are any hidden gems that I missed.

The end of Lori's story has been a long time coming, but it was definitely worth the wait. First off, thank you to the author for putting a recap at the beginning of the book! LOVE THIS! Lori definitely has some struggles to overcome in this book and still has a lot of pieces to put together to figure out exactly what Mordecai is up to, but this book will answer all your questions and wrap up everything nicely. Excellent world building and character development with a side of steam.

The end of this series has been a long time coming! Lori had it all hit the fan when it comes to Mordecai, her life, and her loves. Thinking to save everyone, her worst nightmare has come true and Lori has no idea how she’s gonna stop Mordecai.

I was happy to dive back into this world and see how things would play out and I was not disappointed. Some comeuppance was dealt out, and we get to see some much needed closure for many of Lori’s guys. I can smell a spinoff or maybe two…

Lori’s story finally comes to an end and it fit her very well. The author did put a recap at the beginning which helped me remember a few key things. Lori has gotten herself into a lot of trouble and can’t see a way through it. The story had so much action and serious suspense. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the story. The end worked very well and I’m happy with how things worked out. Lori and her guys have a lot to deal with but it’s a fun wild ride.

We have reached the end of this incredible series and what an ending it is. Lori our kick ass FMC has been through so much as have her guys and this final instalment was action packed and full of romance, steam, drama, danger and was so worth the wait! The author does an incredible job pulling it all together and giving us the answers to our questions and it has been one hell of a ride but it was wonderful to see Lori accept the changes and get the ending she deserved.

It is a bittersweet moment that this is the last book in this series…sad to see it end but satisfied with how it finished. I think it is great that there was a bit of a recap at the start of the book as it really helps you get back into the story. This book really had it all…action, drama, heartache and love. It grabs you as soon as you start and has you feeling all the feels as you go from scene to scene. A brilliant conclusion to an epic series by a very talented author.

beautifully painful ending

Lori story finally comes to a close in this story. It’s was rough going at first with her being sired by the original vampire. Of course this was the book that the big fight was leading us to from the beginning. I was so happy that she had all of her men with her. Once the battle is over, you get an abrupt jump to the future and get to see how the group is doing. I did feel like the ending was slightly rushed but I enjoyed the series regardless.

And it was every bit as satisfying I wished it would be!
It's the end of the road for Lori and her men and tough challenges are always Her's to confront and confront Lori will. I am pleased that the business with Mordecai was wrapped up and questions have been answered.
A satisfactory closing to this story. Finish this story! You will not be disappointed.

To Crave Truly is the last book in Lori’s series and I thought it ended on a beautiful note. I really enjoyed these characters and the author did a great job building them all into people that I would love to know IRL which is the best way to suck me into a world. Kiddos!
Side Note: absolutely loved the recap at the beginning of the book! More authors should do this!

Finale book of series and did not disappoint.

Lori has been to hell and back throughout the series but proved she is a survivor and strong as hell with her guys by her side.

The story was so easy to get lost in and not able to put down for hours. There are alot of answers that we get in this book and the author did an amazing job closing out the series.

This was amazing world building and the characters were so life like. Lori is an awesome FMC and I love that she finally makes peace with all parts of who she is in this book.

Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.

The Battle of the Blood Moon has taken a heavy, heavy toll. For all her power, Lori was helpless against Mordecai's evil, and the price paid was beyond measure.

But they rose...

Not bad

The last book wasn't bad, but maaaannnn I didn't see that coming. The series a a whole for me was so fairly average. Nothing for me to get too excited over. I'm happy I managed to finish it.
