4-star review of Beacon by Leigh Lennon
Beacon is a well written, entertaining story that drew me in and quickly had me invested in the story that Leigh Lennon wove. Beacon is Sandra and Dominics’s story and I found the characters easy to relate to and engaging.
I don’t often read stories where the woman is older than the man as it is not a trope I am drawn to. However, I have read numerous books by Leigh Lennon, so I decided to dive in. I fell hard and fast for Dominic Torano, my idea of a book boyfriend, a man who knows what he wants in a relationship and isn’t afraid to go after it.
All it takes is one night to change a person’s life and that is what happens with Sandra and Dominic. When they run into one another again, months later it appears that the attraction they felt is still there. However, what happens when one wants more than the other is prepared to give?
This story, had me smiling, laughing and crying at times and the secondary characters such as Mrs Winslow were entertaining and added an additional layer to my enjoyment.

A new trope that I’ve quickly become obsessed with is, reverse age gap romances! I like an age gap romance too, but seeing it in reverse is something pretty intriguing as well. Seeing the younger counterpart, the guy, being the one who is younger is fascinating especially when compared to the older woman who is at a different point in their lives compared to someone younger. For Sandra and Dominic, it was a hot, steamy, and passionate filled romance that grew more and more as the story continued. When Sandra and Dominic shared a night together, it became the starting point for their relationship to later become more. Sandra was the older on, and Dominic was younger. Sandra and Dominic’s story was definitely one that didn’t shy away from the spice so if you’re in the mood for a spicy, reverse age gap, then you’ll enjoy this book.
If you don’t like spicy books, then unfortunately this book won’t be for you, BUT! If you do like spice in your books then I have a feeling you’ll enjoy the steam. While there is still some plot in the story, the spice gradually increased over the course of the story. Within the first few chapters, you get plenty of spice, and there was one spicy scene that down right made me blush like, “OMG!” Yes, I’ve read a fair amount of romances that had spice in it, but Dominic and Sandra were the kind of couple that couldn’t get enough of each other, and were certainly comfortable in exploring different kinks together as well as being open in what they wanted in their sexual intimacy. In a way, it felt like the story had an element of sex positivity especially when it came to Sandra expressing her desire to try certain things she’d always fantasized about.
This story leaned more towards the spice as opposed to the storyline. Again, there wasn’t a heavy, deep plot line, it was more character driven in my opinion. I will say that, with the amount of spice in this story, there were some tender moments in Sandra and Dominic’s perspectives that revealed that it wasn’t just about sex, it was about them feeling comfortable, safe, and wanting a future together that was actually quite lovely to see.
As fun and lighthearted moments were sprinkled throughout the story, there was also the differing issue in Dominic and Sandra’s future together when it came down to kids. Everyone has their own views and wants when it comes to the possibility of having a family of their own, and Dominic was very much in the mindset that he wanted a family with Sandra, his dream woman. Sandra on the other hand didn’t want children, and she was totally right in wanting what she wanted. Even though Sandra and Dominic’s relationship was fast and quickly became an all consuming love, there were still things they needed to talk over especially since their views on having kids didn’t match up. I guess in a way, this was the conflict that shook up Dominic and Sandra from their honeymoon bliss and made them really consider if they could either compromise or let go of the relationship they had wanted for so long in order to make the other person happy.
I went into this book just expecting a spicy, reverse age gap, but my goodness was I in for some surprises. This story was fairly straightforward, and easy to read, but I felt like getting towards the end of the story it felt like one thing after the other happened that it felt kind of rushed to me. In terms of having conflict and drama, it had a shocking effect and I was definitely caught off guard, but I still feel like maybe it could have been rearranged differently so it wouldn’t have happened suddenly if that makes sense. Regardless, this was a good reverse age gap, definitely touched upon little bits of different kinks that I wasn’t use to reading about, and Dominic and Sandra had a passionate love for one another. There was even a sense of found family in the storyline which was heartwarming. I think aside from all the spice, there was still moments that showed how much Sandra and Dominic cared for one another, and how much they truly wanted a future together. The ending was really nice for Sandra and Dominic and without giving away spoilers, the ending and epilogue were really sweet and romantic that perfectly tied up Sandra and Dominic’s story together. If you’re looking for a semi short, spicy, reverse age gap with found family, and lots of spice then you’ll like this story.

What a page turner! Age gap-female older, must read! This book will have you laughing and ugly crying. Dom and Sandra in my opinion were end goals from the beginning. What was just one night between them seemed impossible that they wouldn’t run into each other again.
Six months later, Dom and Sandra run into each other at a get together. Both with someone else on their arms. It’ seems the attraction is still there between them. Dom doesn’t want Sandra with anyone else. Well, their friendship/relationship takes off from there. The sparks fly and they just gel so well together. Could these two fall deeply in love or are they doomed? Sandra and Don’s view on what they want in life are quite different. Will Sandra tell Dom what that is? If she does how will he react? Wait til you see what happens! Some unexpected surprises are in store for these two. You will be mind blown! It could bring them closer or tear them apart forever.

In the beginning it took me a while to connect with the characters but i am so glad i stuck with it and kept reading because... ! This book took a turn that i didn't see coming. Dom and Sandra spent one night together that they can't forget about. Sandra has never experienced that feeling of complete freedom, letting go of control and feeling save, Dom gives her everything of that and so much more. But there is quite a bit of drama in this book. What do you do if you both have different dreams, .... It made me sad for both characters. I have to admit my heart sometimes skipped a beat, thinking, hoping they would get their happy ending, because the love these two have for eachother is incredible. That connection, passion, intimacy on more then just surface levels was so beautiful to read. Also i got connected with the others charachters aswell like i wanted to know their story and ofcourse i can't forget about Otis he literally stole the show. That pug together with Dom, my heart melted!
Oh and if you're looking for spice, yeah this one have 5/5 spice. It's very hot and heavy right from the beginning but we get more of their story towards to end along with incredible spice.

It has been a hot minute since I last read a Leigh Lennon book and I always enjoy them when I get my hands on a new story. Dom and Sarah were a refreshing age gap story with the female being the older of the 2. I can say that being a woman who is older that if I had to date during this time of my life, I would consider myself lucky to find someone like Dom. Yes, there is a lot he is giving up with dating an older woman but sometimes love it all that matters.
Having a strong female lead is always refreshing when dealing with the younger men in her life. She was the mom, confidant, friend and caretaker for many. She was feisty but knew what she wanted in life. Dom knew he wanted his life different than how he grew up and always show loved to those closest to him but also, he would give up his biggest dream for love, the love he never felt growing up.
I also loved all of the interconnected books with the other friends or family that I have read in other books. I can't wait for more words from this author, and I have loved the other books from leigh Lennon, but I really liked this one and it seems to come out at the perfect time for me.

This is a reverse age gap but with the way Ms Lennon writes it everything falls into place and the characters are everything.
Dominic Torano is the brother of a previous character that we see plenty of in this story. He owns his own landscaping business with Bodhi (again a previous character) and they have made a name for themselves.
Sandra is a very independent women who knows what she wants. She has to be when she works with a bunch of over grown, trust fund, man children (really though all of them seem like great guys). She will do anything for anyone that she loves.
What will happen after a one night stand that both Dom and Sandra want a repeat of? Will they be able to have a HEA if they want different things in life? What happens when the one thing Sandra didn't want in life happens? Will the love of her life be there to help her through it or will she have to do it all alone?
I really love how Ms. Lennon brought in so many of here previous characters into this story. I can't wait to read more of her work.

I just love the cover art and it captures Sandra beautifully 🥰
I’m going to be honest , in the beginning I was ready to give up reading but I couldn’t give up Otis 🐾🤣🥰 he’s the sweetest 4 legged by far ! Dominic and Sandra just didn’t grab me it seemed they just wanted to grab each other all the time , the whole time 🙈BUT BE PATIENT I promise you Sandra and Don will grow on you and you’ll see them as people and who and what they are and you’ll laugh with them. , cry with them , root for them and you’ll have their backs 🥰
Mrs Winslow is a real hoot ! Otis loved visiting her and she loves having him over , just because she’s older doesn’t mean she’s cold and she had me in stitches 🤣 she has a real love for both Sandra and Otis as well as Dominic, I think she’d try and charm if she were younger 🥰🤣

The intrigue, the mystery, the suspense, the angst , the humor , the witty banter , the romance, the love , the passion , the twists and turns, the heartbreaking , heartfelt and oh so steamy moments, age gap , swoony alpha hero’s , a heroine you cannot stop yourself from falling in love with . Sandra and Doms story has it all and so much more . It’s the type of journey that just has the ability to suck you right in from the very first page , that grabs onto your heart so fast and refuses to let go . And the emotions you’re going to feel while reading well it’s like being on the wildest ride at the amusement park . One minute you’ll be speechless, the next you’ll be screaming outta pure frustration, your heart will break , you’ll smile , you’ll laugh and you’ll be glued to the edge of your seat rooting so freaking hard from start to finish. What start off as a very unexpected meeting between Dom and Sandra turns into so much more then either ever expected

Another great read from one of my favorite authors.
Sandra and Dom have hot hot chemistry, they know from a night spent together six months ago; they 'run' into each other a party, each has a date.... when they ditch their dates, they spend another night together. They can't deny their attraction, they are so compatible,, in bed and out.
Sandra has a great family, first time I've read of this type of romance, really enjoyed those characters. Dom's parents are a train wreck, but his siblings are great.
Love is in the air, but down the road, do they want the same things.... can they compromise.
Throw in Sandra's dog Otis and her neighbor and fellow Otis lover, really rounds out great characters.

Quickie Review: This book absolutely broke my heart before it was tenderly pieced back together. I loved the build up of the relationship between both Dom and Sandra. Showing us everything we knew they could be together before it all got torn apart. And that was the kicker of it all. Knowing something bigger was about to rip this beautiful couple to nothing. But Lennon did their story justice and gave us readers such a beautiful, thoughtful and even suspenseful tale. Now days it’s so easy to give characters the mindset that they must fall in love and have babies. And the way Lennon tackled this was perfect. Beacon was a fantastic read that really pulled at my emotions. 5 Stars.

Ive read plenty of age gap books. I really enjoy them, but it's not often I read when the Female is the older of the two.. This was quite refreshing. Sandra is older and she knows what she wants.. I loved Sandra and Dom's relationship!
Dom and Sandra meet one night.. have a little fun, and think, that's it.. it was fun but didn't think they would see each other again... till they did!!
This book was so fun to read.. its got that spice I like..

Beacon is a hot and steamy reverse age gap with lots of familiar characters. There is no shortage of steam and heat in this book. Dom likes his control and Sandra has no problem giving it to him. After they finally start communicating with each other what they want they seem to have the perfect relationship but that quickly implodes when they don't see eye to eye on the future. Forced proximity helps rebuild what they had but then a whole series of events threaten to tear them apart again. There are lots of familiar characters from previous books that I loved and their HEA was even better!

Dom and Sandra just fit. This is a steamy age gap angst read. Sandra and Dom hooked up once and then nothing until they are in each other's orbit. Together these two heat up the pages while they internally figure out what they want from each other and their lives Dom is a self made alpha man through and through but Sandra brings out the soft. Sandra is older and driven in how she lives. She can't deny that Dom fits so nicely into her life and her heart.

Dom and Sandra had me glued to this book which I read in just one day. I laughed and cried and was just so caught up in their story. I enjoyed that Sandra was older than Dom and knew what she did and didn't want, Dom was desperate to not make the mistakes that his parents made. This story had some mystery to it which I always enjoy and all the wonderful characters from previous books in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for my honest opinion.

A fantastic story from Leigh Lennon. Reverse age gap, he has commitment issues and past trauma, what more could you want?
Well, as an added bonus let's throw in some past favourite characters showing up in important cameo roles. This does not detract from the story if you've not read their books, and this can definitely be read as a standalone if wanted.

4-star review of Beacon by Leigh Lennon
Beacon is a well written, entertaining story that drew me in and quickly had me invested in the story that Leigh Lennon wove. Beacon is Sandra and Dominics’s story and I found the characters easy to relate to and engaging.
I don’t often read stories where the woman is older than the man as it is not a trope I am drawn to. However, I have read numerous books by Leigh Lennon, so I decided to dive in. I fell hard and fast for Dominic Torano, my idea of a book boyfriend, a man who knows what he wants in a relationship and isn’t afraid to go after it.
All it takes is one night to change a person’s life and that is what happens with Sandra and Dominic. When they run into one another again, months later it appears that the attraction they felt is still there. However, what happens when one wants more than the other is prepared to give?
This story, had me smiling, laughing and crying at times and the secondary characters such as Mrs Winslow were entertaining and added an additional layer to my enjoyment.

I really enjoyed Dom and Sandra's story - I liked the older woman age gap trope! Dom and Sandra had loads of chemistry but each had their own issues they needed to work through before they could come together as a couple. I loved getting to see what the characters from the other books were up to and her neighbor Mrs Winslow was a hilarious addition. I'm looking forward to the next in the series!

Wow! This book is a powerhouse of wicked sharp emotions that pummels your heart and twists your feelings into knots. Dom and Sandra's romance is sinfully steamy and filled with a raw honesty that you don't always get. Their challenges felt very raw, poignant and relatable. What an incredibly moving read.

This is a good story all the way through. I really enjoyed all the characters from previous books that show up in the story giving glimpses of their lives from different perspectives. Dom & Sandra have an epic romance and a very HEA.

Sandra and Dom are everything! I have never rooted for a couple more! What was supposed to be a one night stand turned into so much more! The passion and the fire will burn your kindle! Sandra’s sweet little Pug Otis absolutely stole the show!

A great story with two people who are made for each other. Sandra and Dom start off hot and heavy, then back off, then are on again. This story makes you go through a roller coaster ride of emotions. Loved it!!

Such a good book!! Dom and Sandra's love story has it all. They had different things in mind, but in the end they're there for each other.
If you're looking for a really good romance you'll need to read this one. It has some drama and suspense to it and the storyline flows well. All of the characters are loveable and I can't wait to read more about them.
