Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
I was so sad to reach the end of this story - purely because it's the last of the Leira Chronicles, as yet but, in some ways, because I've really loved the characters within the stories, especially our favourite Troll, YTT! Lol
This series never stopped surprising me - in a good way - and I got to love seeing outcomes I hadn't thought of.
But this last three books, and especially THIS last one, surprised and delighted me, in the way in which Leira developed so wonderfully, with the new use of her magic, and how it interacted with Nature.
I really loved this concept!
This story ended up in a believable fashion, and I'm hoping that Martha and Michael DO come back to Leira and Correk again, in the future although, considering the very long line of books that I still have to read, written by Michael, Martha, and others, I can't see them having the time to, frankly! Lol
Anyhoo, now that this book is finished, I can start to read a couple of books that were published yesterday.
The first one is by Sarah Noffke, and Michael Anderle, and is Book Six of their wonderful 'The First Beaufont' series: ' The Altruistic Crime Lord', and I'm really looking forward to reading it right now!
The second book, was one I was going to read first, only to discover that it's actually Book Three of a series - I've been so busy trying to catch up with my reading, that I hadn't realised that the newly published book was the third and, as I haven't yet read one and two, after I've read The Altruistic Crime Lord, I'll go back to this, and read all three books together.
Once I've finished book Six, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
And off course YTT. How clever was Yumf@ck this time? I think he must be maturing. There were quite a few hurts in the book and I shed a few tears, but there were also a few instances that has cause for rejoicing. I really hope Martha returns to these characters after she has had a little rest. 10 stars at least.
An extremely entertaining and enjoyable series!!!!!!
Congratulations to Martha Carr and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such intexresting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories.
