My father disappeared into the old gods’ realm more than a year ago… and even though I hate him, my family needs him back.
Getting into the Leprechaun’s domain means chasing rainbows. Gaining my father’s freedom means making a bet with a god who thinks he can break me. But when my bet is placed and his games begin, I start to wonder if he wants me to lose at all.
Railed by the Leprechaun is a monster romance and is darker in tone than most of the other books in this series. Please read the CW/TWs.
Dalia Davies fell into monster romance--almost by accident--and loves it here. She drinks her weight in tea every day and has been told on numerous occasions that she “knows too much”. She pairs old gods, monsters, and aliens with human women who get exactly what they want and maybe a little more than they came for. Brought up on fairytales read while hiding in the back stacks of her small-town library and sneaking in creature features at friends' homes, she always wanted a way to meld two fantasies into one. When not writing, she plays the banjo poorly, dreams of traveling the world, and avoids large crowds and loud noises. Living in the southwestern US, she lets the outside heat permeate her stories and hopes they leave you panting.
This is, of course, a pen name. It is one of many I write under. You can find my other works as: Andi Simms - Contemporary Romance Ava Lunaria - Paranormal Romance
I liked the FMC in this book and her history of oldest sibling syndrome and the joy she got from ceding control to the leprechaun. I did not like the leprechaun. I had nothing against his deals, and I get that every kink isn’t for me. But I felt like his character was so underdeveloped and unexplored. Like, when did she fall in love with him when almost every convo was during sexy time? It just seemed a bit half baked.
Spice: 5/5

This was atrocious. There’s no storyline, just smut. Lots of spelling errors & the writing style is juvenile. Overall, just super weird and not something I would ever recommend.
If you know me personally, I only did this for book club please don’t judge me😂
3.5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ this based off of what this book is (a short spicy novella). Is this god-tier writing? Heck no, but if you want a slightly demented- basically no plot -spicy read- then here you go. There were quite a few spelling and grammatical errors (author: it is “writhe” not “write”) BUT again FOR WHAT TYPE IF CATEGORY IT IS- 98% smut, 2% plot. For my book club counterparts reading my review- I promise I am of sound mind- this was supposed to be a funny “jk” option 😭😂
Yes just everything about this book is a big fat yes from me!
I absolutely devoured it just like Greeves devoured the f*ck out of Lucky 🥴🫠
I’m not sure if I should have dived in at book 8 of the series but the author paints a good enough picture of the world for me to not be lost. Honestly I was here for the smut anyway and oh lord did it deliver!
I think this was my first snake smut and I will definitely be looking for more 😏
Safe to say I will be reading every book from this author 👏👏
Also I will never think of “eggs” in the same way again 🙃
Railed by the Leprechaun By: Dalia Davies Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.5/5 Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I saw this series on a Facebook booktok group I’m in. Showed my wife and then got curious about the rest of the books.. that’s when I stumbled upon Railed by the Leprechaun. It sounded out there and is only 115 pages long so I figured I’d give it a shot. I’ve never read a book where the God goes into a non-human form to do spicy things. That caught me off guard and isn’t something I necessarily want to continue reading but the spice is definitely spicy. Overall the story is good. Lucky uses a rainbow to try to save her father from the Leprechaun. She has to make a deal with him and if she wins this deal she will get her father back. The storyline is fast. From the beginning you could tell how the book was going to end but it was still a good book.
“The best treasure knows when to sing and when to stay silent.”
“You look like a wallflower. So timid… and yet, you have thorns.”
4⭐️Forked tongues are really underrated! And adding some piercings and five slithering fun time appendages?! Like this God surely has it all!
“Everyone loses something in the Leprechaun’s domain.”
I really enjoyed this version of a leprechaun and the old god tales. I haven’t been in this world for a while, since make Easter last year actually and it was nice to recall the other stories as character overlaps played out in this book. I forgot about the bargain elements which really enjoyed.
I picked up this book for a book club meeting coming up in March. I will say the theme is spot on. This is my first monster smut read and I've only read a handful of books with explicit sexual content. I have to assume this book is as advertised and will satisfy those into this genre. The grammatical errors post publication felt preventable. Typically a few slips is understandable as we are all mere humans, but there were too many blaring ones for me to not take notice.
DNF at 25%. The writing is good and the world is interesting, I’m just not feeling it. I don’t like pain play/bdsm romances, and I wasn’t into the snake body. I would’ve tried to finish it anyway, but I have too many other things I want to be reading right now.
(His “god form” is a snake) As a “normal” sized snake he goes up inside her and eats her ovaries to prevent her from getting pregnant after shes tells h she never wants kids. Enough said. 🫣🥲
The title of this is misleading if you’re not familiar with the series. Once I got past my initial icks because of the snake factor, this wasn’t that bad.

It's funny that I was ready to give up on this series yesterday and now I am eagerly awaiting the next book again 😂 I've said in previous reviews, that I find Davis' writing compelling even if I struggle with some of her plots and that remains true but this was an exciting addition to the Valley of the Gods.
For one, this is much darker in tone than the rest of the series, which works nicely for me. For another, I found this round of weirder kinks to be more up my alley and they fit well into the character dynamic she was going for. We get a little bit of backstory on Lucky before she journeys into the Leprechaun's realm to strike a bargain to get her father back (more for her family than for herself, but that's not a problem - yet). Greeve is only all to willing to bet against her and make her forfeit before the month is over. In a twisted turn of events, his form of "torture" appeals to Lucky more than even she expected. They jump straight into the deep end, venom, hallucinations and shapeshifting games included. Some of it's wacky but it worked somehow. Again, these stories lean much heavier into the erotica than the romance so I can't say I buy the "I love you now" moment in the end but I could definitely see the vision. That HFN can turn into an HEA in their future. Not to mention Diyo and Jovie's cameo, loved that and how it brought back the best parts of this world.
I am still championing for Davis to write an aromantic character and I still don't understand why all their ~fluids~ gotta be random flavors but this right here is why I kept picking up her books.
