My father disappeared into the old gods’ realm more than a year ago… and even though I hate him, my family needs him back.
Getting into the Leprechaun’s domain means chasing rainbows. Gaining my father’s freedom means making a bet with a god who thinks he can break me. But when my bet is placed and his games begin, I start to wonder if he wants me to lose at all.
Railed by the Leprechaun is a monster romance and is darker in tone than most of the other books in this series.
Dalia Davies fell into monster romance--almost by accident--and loves it here. She drinks her weight in tea every day and has been told on numerous occasions that she “knows too much”. She pairs old gods, monsters, and aliens with human women who get exactly what they want and maybe a little more than they came for. Brought up on fairytales read while hiding in the back stacks of her small-town library and sneaking in creature features at friends' homes, she always wanted a way to meld two fantasies into one. When not writing, she plays the banjo poorly, dreams of traveling the world, and avoids large crowds and loud noises. Living in the southwestern US, she lets the outside heat permeate her stories and hopes they leave you panting.
This is, of course, a pen name. It is one of many I write under. You can find my other works as: Andi Simms - Contemporary Romance Ava Lunaria - Paranormal Romance
I liked the FMC in this book and her history of oldest sibling syndrome and the joy she got from ceding control to the leprechaun. I did not like the leprechaun. I had nothing against his deals, and I get that every kink isn’t for me. But I felt like his character was so underdeveloped and unexplored. Like, when did she fall in love with him when almost every convo was during sexy time? It just seemed a bit half baked.
Spice: 5/5
Triggers: Betrayal by a family member (Father) Broken bones/physical harm caused by MMC Dubious consent (no safe word) Exhibitionism/Voyeurism Explicit human/non-human sex (god in various different snake forms) FMC Drugged by MMC Knife play Physical abuse by foliage Self-mutilation of a tertiary character Threat of forced pregnancy (no resultant pregnancy)
This was atrocious. There’s no storyline, just smut. Lots of spelling errors & the writing style is juvenile. Overall, just super weird and not something I would ever recommend.
If you know me personally, I only did this for book club please don’t judge me😂
3.5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ this based off of what this book is (a short spicy novella). Is this god-tier writing? Heck no, but if you want a slightly demented- basically no plot -spicy read- then here you go. There were quite a few spelling and grammatical errors (author: it is “writhe” not “write”) BUT again FOR WHAT TYPE IF CATEGORY IT IS- 98% smut, 2% plot. For my book club counterparts reading my review- I promise I am of sound mind- this was supposed to be a funny “jk” option 😭😂
Yes just everything about this book is a big fat yes from me!
I absolutely devoured it just like Greeves devoured the f*ck out of Lucky 🥴🫠
I’m not sure if I should have dived in at book 8 of the series but the author paints a good enough picture of the world for me to not be lost. Honestly I was here for the smut anyway and oh lord did it deliver!
I think this was my first snake smut and I will definitely be looking for more 😏
Safe to say I will be reading every book from this author 👏👏
Also I will never think of “eggs” in the same way again 🙃
I’m so sorry but…wtf did I just read 😬 a leprechaun that’s half snake erotica with all the smut, a barely there plot line and so so many grammatical errors. I am not trying to yuck anyone’s yum that liked this book, but it 100% was not for me.
Weirdly, I actually really enjoyed this story overall. There were quite a few typos that brought me out a few times. Overall though, this was a fun read.
If you’re here for wild monster smut with a darker edge, then this book absolutely delivers! If you’re craving deep emotional romance, this one may leave you wanting more. This novella follows Lucky, who ventures into the old gods’ realm to win back her estranged father by making a dangerous bet with a cunning leprechaun god. What starts as a high-stakes bargain quickly turns into a twisted game of control, temptation, and power with plenty of darker spicy moments 🥵🌶️ The premise of the story is undeniably creative and weird in the best monster-romance way. The spice is plentiful and very on-brand for monster smut romances 🔥 👹 The romance though felt underdeveloped compared to the heavy focus on spice. Though I enjoyed it for what it was, I know the darker elements (dubious consent, pain play vibes) won’t work for every reader. Overall, this was a quick, spicy, slightly chaotic read that leans much more toward erotica than emotional romance. Bottom line: Fun, bizarre monster smut with a darker bite, but not the strongest in emotional payoff. Perfect if you know exactly what kind of ride you’re signing up for 🐍 🌈 🖤
Railed by the Leprechaun By: Dalia Davies Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.5/5 Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
⚠️ALWAYS CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS⚠️
I saw this series on a Facebook booktok group I’m in. Showed my wife and then got curious about the rest of the books.. that’s when I stumbled upon Railed by the Leprechaun. It sounded out there and is only 115 pages long so I figured I’d give it a shot. I’ve never read a book where the God goes into a non-human form to do spicy things. That caught me off guard and isn’t something I necessarily want to continue reading but the spice is definitely spicy. Overall the story is good. Lucky uses a rainbow to try to save her father from the Leprechaun. She has to make a deal with him and if she wins this deal she will get her father back. The storyline is fast. From the beginning you could tell how the book was going to end but it was still a good book.
Yesssss! I don’t care what anyone says, this book was fucking awesome. This was my first real “monster” erotica. And I found out quick, this shit is right up my alley. It’s always the monsters and gods that fall in love with mortals. I wonder if this can happen in real life 😈😉 this was the 8th book in the “series” but they don’t have to be read in order. I read this because I picked a number at random in my reading group (lucky number 13) and this was the book under that number. Number 13 has never let me down, and it surely didn’t this time either! This book has just opened up my possibilities to soooo many books that I have always passed up. Can’t wait to start this journey.
This was just a good time,it’s basically all smut but also I loved it? It was a little hard to follow at times just with how choppy the writing was & the whole “ bet / bargain” thing wasn’t really ever explained or why they are offered. Greeve was an interesting MMC he was a little psycho but I loved him and honestly lucky was so down which is different to what I normally read and ya know what I loved it
I’m not really sure what else to say it’s basically snake smut but festive pot of gold
This one comes in hot right from the start—like zero buildup, just straight into the smut 😂 It’s definitely on the ridiculous side, but in a way that feels intentional and kind of hilarious. I found myself laughing more than once at how over-the-top it was. It’s a quick, spicy read that’ll have you blushing, but don’t go in expecting depth—this is pure chaotic, shamrock-flavored fun. If you’re in the mood for something unhinged, steamy, and a little absurd, it delivers.
“The best treasure knows when to sing and when to stay silent.”
“You look like a wallflower. So timid… and yet, you have thorns.”
4⭐️Forked tongues are really underrated! And adding some piercings and five slithering fun time appendages?! Like this God surely has it all!
“Everyone loses something in the Leprechaun’s domain.”
I really enjoyed this version of a leprechaun and the old god tales. I haven’t been in this world for a while, since make Easter last year actually and it was nice to recall the other stories as character overlaps played out in this book. I forgot about the bargain elements which really enjoyed.
I picked up this book for a book club meeting coming up in March. I will say the theme is spot on. This is my first monster smut read and I've only read a handful of books with explicit sexual content. I have to assume this book is as advertised and will satisfy those into this genre. The grammatical errors post publication felt preventable. Typically a few slips is understandable as we are all mere humans, but there were too many blaring ones for me to not take notice.
DNF at 25%. The writing is good and the world is interesting, I’m just not feeling it. I don’t like pain play/bdsm romances, and I wasn’t into the snake body. I would’ve tried to finish it anyway, but I have too many other things I want to be reading right now.
(His “god form” is a snake) As a “normal” sized snake he goes up inside her and eats her ovaries to prevent her from getting pregnant after shes tells h she never wants kids. Enough said. 🫣🥲
This will get you in the right mind for st Patricks day for sure , 100% smut -1% plot hahaha , but in the best way. 100000/10 did recommend! This is definitely not for the faint of heart lol, first off he got 4 extra d I c k s , like what! And he goes inside her to eat her damm ovaries wtf!
Well this was something. I felt like this is the way I would write a book. That is not a compliment. The story itself is pretty interesting. It was definitely a different take on the leprechaun.
The title of this is misleading if you’re not familiar with the series. Once I got past my initial icks because of the snake factor, this wasn’t that bad.
