PLAGIARISM. This author is known for plagiarising! Don’t support them, they’re fraudulent and have no sense of respect or a shred of dignity. Imagine stealing someone’s work they’ve poured their whole being into. So despicable and it’s shameful that GoodReads has not caught wind of her deceit and acted on it. The book that she’s plagiarised is under the name ‘Devil in a Suit’, the real book is ‘Knox’ written by an amazing and dedicated author (@TheFeveredBookaholic) on a platform called Wattpad. The real author generously allows us to read her work for free and this abomination of a species has stolen her hard work whilst charging people for it. They’ve undermined the love, support & respect, we as a fanbase have for TheFeveredBookaholic. Keep reporting and support the real author!

Wow! I just discovered this Author 😍 and I'm in love with her work. I can't wait to read more of her books. This book was 🔥, I got to listen to the audio book for free on YT.

It was okay but mid tbh. I didn’t hate anything but I didn’t love anything either. I’m also not a fan of the he left his empire for her trope. I much rather prefer the mafia aspect to continue all the way throughout. Granted he was planning on leaving prior to meeting her to begin with but still. Not my cup of tea. Also I was more in love with Ryan than I was with the love interest. There were a few random errors like Dove would be referred to as Isabella(or isabelle i don’t remember which) as well as Andres being called Rafael sometimes too. Just some edits need to be made. Also would appreciate if his nickname for her could be explained, I tried searching it up and translating but nothing helpful came up on my end. Not a huge deal I’m just nosey. So overall not a bad book but I’m not gonna go around recommending it to everyone. Though the book was short so that’s a plus I can add to my reading goal.

2.5 stars. I am a bit lost. I listened to this book on youtube. I am not lost as in I didn't understand but I'm lost as in - what the fuck. Like the love was way too quick and the switching of POVs was also a bit confusing. the romance was WAY too quick but honestly I quite enjoyed the writing. The story was not bad, it was just a bit muddled up and too quick. I think this author has LOADS of potential and I think this book just needs to be worked on a bit and it can even go up to 5 stars. It was definitly niot a BAD story, I wish we had a true villian (like martin) and focused on them a bit but I liked the storyline. 3 STARS!

Quick update: defo not 3 stars, bumping it down to 2.5

It's not THE best book out there. But it's not the worst.
Dove characters really contradicts with my own at times. The fact that she wanted him even after knowing there's already another woman he loves... that just irked me.

And the way the author keeps going on and on about him still thinking about his first love...Lord im not mature enough for that.

The only reason I have it a 2.5 star and not one is because well there's worse books outthere. Plus this one gives me the nostalgic sense of wattpad era.

This “author” has been accused of plagiarism (word for word) by more than one author (on wattpad). A many number of this Alessa Steel’s books sold on Amazon have changed to currently unavailable.

If Alessa Steel is selling plagiarized works, this author ought to be banned permanently from here in goodreads, in Amazon, and in anywhere online books/stories are sold.

Making money out of other people’s work is Despicable! Just despicable! I’m beginning to wonder if this book is also a plagiarized work 🧐🤨😒

Disliked the intimacy between them. Disliked him being dictated like an animal instead of a human. Liked the humanity aspect of the book when disclosing backstories of characters. Wouldn’t read again. Didn’t hate nor like the book

Due to a book slump I DNF-ed this book. Not to say that it was bad, because it wasn’t. It was just mediocre.

Everything was cliche and predictable, but it was enjoyable while it lasted.

For anyone wanting Mafia Dark Romance books then give this author a shot! A bunch of her book have audio on her own YouTube channel if you like listening to books while you go about your day!

The story was an obvious mafia romance but it was good, no matter how many mafia romances you read, the trope is always a top tier!
