One fateful night, Sway's life took a dark turn when her brother was tragically killed. Fueled by grief and a burning desire for revenge, she sets out on a path of vengeance, determined to uncover the truth behind her brother's death. She finds herself encountering a man with striking good looks and piercing green eyes.
Despite her determination to stay focused on her brothers death, she can't help but be drawn to this dangerous man who seems to keep crossing her path. His presence is a distraction, but Sway refuses to let anything or anyone deter her from seeking justice for her brother.
When thugs target her business, leaving her wounded and terrified, Sway realizes that she can't face this danger alone. In a moment of desperation, she makes the decision to reach out to the dangerous man with the green eyes, hoping that he can provide the protection she needs.
But as she becomes entangled with Vicious and the Royal Bastards MC, Sway finds herself caught in a web of emotion she wasn’t prepared for.
Will her decision to become involved with Vicious lead to even more chaos and violence? Or will he prove to be the one person who can keep her safe amidst the storm of darkness closing in around her?
Vicious
Vicious may not fit the conventional definition of a "good man" in the eyes of society, but perhaps there's more to him than meets the eye. While he may be ruthless and uncompromising in his actions as the VP of the Royal Bastards MC, there's a side to him that few ever see—a side driven by loyalty, protectiveness, and a fierce sense of justice.
When Sway is kidnapped, Vicious's primal instincts kick in. He leaves a trail of blood and chaos in his wake as he tears through the streets of Old Town, fueled by a single-minded determination to find her. Nothing and no one will stand in his way when it comes to rescuing the woman he sees as his own.
Despite his reputation Vicious's actions speak volumes about the depth of his feelings for Sway. In her, he sees something worth fighting for, worth risking everything for. And as he races against time to save her, he proves that beneath his rough exterior lies a man capable of great sacrifice and unwavering devotion.
HELL BENT is the first instalment in Roux Cantrell’s contemporary, adult RBMC:MONTREAL CHAPTER dark, erotic, MC romance series set in the multi-authored RBMC world. This is RBMC: Montreal VP Mason ‘Vicious’ Lapointe, and twenty-seven auto mechanic Sabine ‘Sway’ Roussin’s story line.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise including graphic violence, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Vicious and Sway HELL BENT follows in the wake of the death of Sway’s brother Tesh. Tesh Roussin was beaten to death, and in the aftermath Sway made it her mission to uncover the truth but Sway never expected to come face to face with RBMC: Montreal VP Vicious Lapointe, the man with whom Sway will fall in love.As Sway continues to follow the clues including the possiblity of involvement by the RBMC, information comes forward from a questionable source, information that places our heroine in the direct line of fire.
The world building follows several paths:the building romance and relationship between our story line couple; the friction between Vicious, and the MC president Teller; a potential war on the horizon with the Bloody Scorpions; the possibility of betrayal from within; and the search for the people responsible for the death of Tesh Roussin.
The relationship between Sway and Vicious begins as Sway struggles to come to terms with her brother’s death. Threats to her life and her livelihood bring Sway up close and personal with our story line hero, a man who is willing to die to protect the woman he loves but Sway has pissed off some powerful people, and will pay the price for uncovering the truth.
We are introduced to several members of the RBMC: Montreal including their new club prez Teller, a man who wants to make changes, and continues to butt heads with our story line hero, as well as Tail Gunner Player, Road Captain Joker, club medic Razor, and Sway’s best friend Lottie. There is something developing between Razor and Lottie. The requisite evil has many faces.
HELL BENT is a story of betrayal and vengeance ; secrets and lies; obsession and madness; acceptance and love. The premise is dramatic, dark and emotional; the romance is provocative; the characters are determined and charismatic. My only complaint is there is more telling than showing...and in this I felt a little bit disconnected.
This was an ok read for me. It was a bit slow, and I had a hard time getting into it. I'm also not a fan of 3rd person pov. It reads more like a narrative, and it felt like it jumped around a bit. Sometimes, I wasn't sure who was supposedly saying what. That being said, the book did pick up for me around the 28th chapter. The 2 main characters went through hell one when they were young and the other during this book. I feel this book could have been epic if it was from their pov. I'm sure I'll be reading the next book in this chapter.
I love the RBMC books and this one was no exception. This one was more on the dark side than the stories usually are but it was a darn good story. This is the story of Vicious and Sway. I wouldn't really say it was romantic but their journey to their relationship is a solid one. There are rough patches, angst and threats. But there is also plenty of steam. This is the first time I have read this author's work but it most certainly will not be the last.
That was pretty good but sad in a few spots. It was hard 4 her 2 come 2 terms with her bros murder and the cops didn't do anything about it. Vicious is the VP of the RBMC and he takes his job seriously but when he meets her they both try 2 figure things out. Is it good or bad thing 2 find the truth and punish the bad? When things get bad they will do whatever it takes 2 save her from a fate worse than death. Can they find her in x though?
She was lost when her brother was taken from her, but she started to find her way when he entered her life. His story is not an easy one, but she gave him the peace that he had been missing. Two broken souls brought together. Definitely read this book as you won’t be disappointed. I was new to the author and didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.
This may cause triggers for some, the abuse and everything Sway suffered are horrendous. Vicious noticed her before and was interested, but when he found out who her brother was, he was there to help her. There are a few funny parts pertaining to some of the brothers, but it was pretty much emotional. Danger, heat and retribution. HEA.
This book was ok. I’ve read many from the author and this one did not hit me as well as her other books. Of course we have suspense and action in it, but I felt like the story was just disconnected in some way. I’m thinking the next book will definitely pick up and take off more like her other books.
Sway in on a mission to find her brother killer. Along the way she makes many enemies that don’t like her poking around and asking questions. She meets the Vp of the Montclair Mc. Vicious falls hard for her and helps her find the killer. Now both their life are in danger. With his brothers at his back nothing will stop him from protecting his girl with everything he got.
This was a nice introduction to a new RBMC chapter. The author is a new to me author. I found the story to be very exciting and fun. Sway and Vicious, were an unlikely couple to begin with. But they formed a bond throughout the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a found family and somewhat of a slow burn.
This book was good. Good characters and storyline along with lots of twists and turns plus action and suspense. The only negative thing to me was it read a bit disjointed. Still enjoyable.
I have been a fan of Roux Cantrell's books for a while, but I think this RBMC Montreal, Canada chapter might be my fave! I loved seeing the brothers from RBMC Provo chapter-always shenanigans with them!
Very nice story introducing more people into the RBMC universe. Looking forward to seeing how Lottie and Razor's story plays out, along with Teller, Joker, Player, and the rest.
