Hello!

My name is Hunner Ricketts aka HR Jones. I'm a registered vet tech (RVT) for the state of Ohio turned housewife and stay-at-home mom. I've had a love for reading since I knew how and a love for writing since I realized authors were just people with ideas who decided to write them down. So here I am- a person with an idea who wrote it down and uploaded it somewhere, calling myself an author.

When I'm not writing (or drowning in editing), I spend my time reading dark romance novels myself, hence my pull to write one. I have a love for Penelope Douglas, Runyx, HD Carlton, Shantel Tessier, Avina St. Graves... You name it, I've likely read it.

That is when I'm not chasing after my rambunctious 2 year old. She's usually chasing our cat, Keanu (Reeves), and we're all chasing my soon-to-be husband, Jacob Jones. AKA my motivational powerhouse and biggest cheerleader.

I do my marketing (and editing, cover design, blurbs, etc.) myself and have platforms with my pen name for TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram if you'd like to follow for updates there!

This is the 2nd book in a series and the way it flows perfectly from the first book to this book is AMAZING! the plot was EPIC! the spice was 🥵🥵🥵🥵 soooo soooo spicy! I loved seeing the characters from the first book and the interactions between the main characters from this book. I related soo much emotionally with the fmc in this book and i love how its not always sunshine with her. I love that she knows she is the darkness. AMAZING job HR!

I’m really enjoyed reading this book. HR definitely had me emotionally invested and all over the place with this book! The ending really threw me for a loop and I can’t wait to read what happens next.


This book is Everly and Leo’s story, from love to heartbreak to finding love in each other again, with drama and twists that have you frustrated but still wanting more and knowing what happens next.
