Despite the castle gag order keeping Claude's illness a secret, rumors begin to spread among the aristocrats about the emperor's indisposed state. With Claude unconscious, Athanasia must serve as the emperor's proxy, though she struggles to contain the rumor mill while caring for her father and also managing the affairs of state. When a parliamentary meeting veers terribly off course and Duke Alpheus acts in a manner unbefitting his usual self, a shrouded figure reveals himself before the gathered nobles. The shocking true identity of the visitor revealed, Athanasia must stem the beginnings of a coup!
Yes yes yes! They are going to save Claude and get rid of the imposter and save the kingdoms. And Athy is going to fall in love with Lucas. I can see it all now!
This book from the series is almost my favourite. Still love the 4th volume the most.
One really gets it that it's the middle part of the plot as lots of things happen. It's tense and emotional again and as always my favourite when reading so I was thrilled for every page I read.
Lots of new information and plottwists. One definitely needs to read actively to understand everything. I disliked a bit that it got slightly repeated and the crying part from characters got a bit much even though it had good reasoning and wasn't just random.
Anastacius was an interesting character to get to know. Bit disappointed how it turned out, but we all need some character who carries the plot to make it fun for the readers.
Lastly, Athanasia was very cute in her proxy uniform and the switch from showing everyone that she isn't just a kid to getting vulnerable and fragile again as soon as everyone left and couldn't see her. That hits deep as some people really live like this day-to-day. Athanasia stay strong!
Anastacius is handsome tho not much than claude. but i still hate him. he tried to destroy the life athy created by very doing very cringey stuff. i really really hate him.
i absolutely loved this. athanasia was executed by her father in her previous life and now that she's back, she's trying to find a way to survive. somehow, in this life, athanasia got closer to her coldblooded father and they actually develop a father-daughter relationship. it's heartwarming to see how protective he became.
Dang. I was not expecting this seemingly simple story revolving around a girl who just wanted to stay alive finding a cherishing, (if distant) father only to have it all go to chaos around her, with visions of the literal world ending??
And somehow, she has a level head. She is sad and emotional over some hard things, but otherwise logical and keeping an actual empire afloat.
I need to know what happens in the next volume! I just binged 4-7 throughout the day today and don’t have 8 on hand. 😫
I just love this story and the artwork is amazing and Lucas is literally the BEST. The plot is moving forward and the end of the amnesia arc is in sight!
I read this series online and now need to collect the physical copies. I’m curious if the epilogue/side stories will ever come to be as the creator notes stated that they would but I haven’t seen anything.
As a review of the completed series and not just the one volume I think this sits as a 4.5 ⭐️ if I could give halves.
I enjoy the twists/explanations of reincarnation into a novel verses regression plot that’s more similar to something like Dr Elise.
This one was tagged as romance along with the childcare isekai trope but honestly any romantic storyline for the female protagonist is very secondary to the plot and I personally don’t feel is concretely settled at the end of the main story. As the main plot is that of the FL and her relationship with her father I don’t think we need a solid romance. In something like Father I don’t want this Marriage that is a very good balance between her romance arc and her father daughter relationship arc. While there are a lot of similarities in the father/daughter arc between the two stories, this one doesn’t put as much weight on the romance but then the majority of this story is told while she is in the body of her childhood self. It would be icky if there was more weight on the romance.
I’m not sure why there couldn’t have been a more concrete conclusion to the love triangle as the story definitely favours the one ML as the end game but alas we are left with a “who knows what the future will bring” scenario.
As for the father/daughter relationship I think the backstory/explanation for his cold behaviour that resulted in her death in the novel is well explained and a justifiable one as me the reader to accept why I forgive him in the current life as redeemable. I think others I’ve read have the FL forgiving the father (or other family member) too easily because it wasn’t “them” that was mistreated in the previous “life” when I’m left unsatisfied because it looks like the only reason they are liked and survive in this life is because of luck or they made theirselves interesting or useful when really the father is trash and should just live the kid regardless. Thankfully we get more in this one.
I do wish that we did get a bit more in character development from the father when the plot switches him from cold to caring. We get the why and even some of his awkwardness as he adjusts and while HE doesn’t know that his actions led to her death in the novel he could be a bit more remorseful about the first 5 years of her life in this life where he was nonexistent. Its still good though and worth the read
Things are getting tense and intense in the palace with the ex-emperor finally making a move, except it seems he's not just the ex-emperor that everyone thinks he is with all this talk of stealing powers and possession. At least Jeanette seems to still honestly be good, even if a bit naïve and innocent in everything. Hopefully Anthy is correct and her plan here works, though it would probably make for a rather short story given the title if she were to meet her end suddenly. As usual, a bit of a cliff hanger where we know something is coming, and in this case even have some ideas what with the world tree, but no real clear indication if it will truly work and if it does, what state Claude will be in when he wakes up. Will he remember Anthy? Will he still try to avoid her or completely forget her again? Will his famous anger make an appearance? What about the other curse? So many questions and so few answers.

4.5 stars Oh mein Gott.
Let me just say this is my favorite cover so far. It's just an absolute masterpiece. As for the story, I'm still kinda missing the cozy vibes we got from the first few chapters but I also kinda like seeing Athy grow into her own power. Claude would've been so proud of watching her shut the men down. The twists are so interesting yet still kinda stressful but overall I'm still hooked in the story. Also, I've always loved Ezekiel and Athy more but Lucas being the "I'll burn the world and turn everyone to ashes if anything happens to her" type just made me realize he might be better for her afterall. Haha.
I couldn’t put those books down… it was so good I wish I could reread all of it all over again for the first time and fall in love with every details hidden within the pages of this story. I’m speechless! I will dearly miss all these characters BUT I will definitely revisit them in the near future. The novel shall also be read thoroughly very soon and I just can’t waittttt!!😆💖✨✨✨✨

I can't believe everything that happened in this part, I was quite surprised. Artie is no longer a child and is trying to save everyone and Lucas just wants to protect her. He had so many signs of affection towards her that sometimes he himself questioned why but in the end he understood it, my favorite chapter without a doubt the 97.

This has what I like. The reveals, twists, and resolution were all so satisfying to read. I wish I had a father like Claude. And I also was surprised of the romance between Athy and Lucas. If in the previous volumes/season it's just a mere suggestion or hint, in this one, it got way more focus and screentime and I love every second of it.
Lucas is definitely a morally gray romance character for manga 😲 "in my anger I would kill everyone and I may just burn down all of Obelia myself" oomph character development has just skyrocketed and I need the next volume 8.

This is such a cute story. There is a romance but I like that the story line is focused on the relationship between Athy and Claude. I love how cute the relationship is between the father and child. Athy is also smart, especially on how she use her knowledge about the story to her advantage.
(84-97) LUCAS IS BAAAAAAAAAACK. Lo extrañé mucho :ccc<33333333 "i'd burn down everything until every living being on this land has turned to ash" Me enamoré.
