More Monster Cats. Some of the panels seemed familiar, like they were in volume 1 as well. But it's still a fun time.

A collection of comics about people who own or know mythical cats, and the unique issues and joys they face housing/knowing such a creature.

Another delightful collection of imaginative cat breeds, from dryad cats to mandragora cats to nessie cats. When I have a new book from Pandania, I like to save it to read right before bed as a nice, chill, calming, cute, entertaining end to the day.

Notes on content:
Language: None
Sexual content: None
Violence: None (unless you are sensitive to cat toy or snack destruction)
Ethnic diversity: Humans are mostly only partially depicted, but appear to be Japanese.
LGBTQ+ content: None specified
Other: There is a demon cat, but it just does typical mischievous things any cat would do and the human owner lovingly calls it a demon for doing things like knocking things off the table or making a mess.

I really enjoyed the first volume and the second one did not disappoint. Adorable, humorous slice-of-life moments between mysterious monster cats and the humans in their lives.

See what's happening with some of the cats from the first volume, and meet new monster cats including a gnome, a banshee, and a gremlin. I especially enjoy the slime, demon, and mandragora cats, and of course Marquis, the cat-sith.

As always, the artwork is adorable.

An entertaining collection that is so much fun. Another great cat series from Pandania.

Like Yokai Cats, every volume is more of the same. And this is not a bad thing at all. It's cute, funny and comfortable, which is great for a book series once in a while.

Another entry from my manga-loving daughter.

This is a comic collection of cute cats, inspired(?) by monsters. Not as good the second time around, many were similar to volume one, and some of the panels were repeated on multiple pages.

This volume is a good continuation of the series, such as it exists so far. In particular, it both introduces new monster cats and gives them each a decent number of comics, and also has more creative and varied scenarios for some of the cats from the first volume.

Haven’t read the first one, this is very creative, just one chapter made my kid laugh a lot out loud- the sphinx. Some of the type is so small that even with reading glasses I can barely make it out. My partner struggles with the type size as well.

Werecat, my beloved.
I know Pandania seems to prefer cats, but I wouldn't say no to a series with dogs. They're always super adorable whenever they show up in these mangas. :D

The monster cats are back! This volume adds mandragora and gremlin cat, plus more from volume 1. Again, a great read for any cat lover or anyone looking for a light read.

Monster Cats Vol. 2 was an excellent follow-up to the first volume where we get to see even more species of monster cats.

Life with cats is always an adventure but what if your cat isn't just a cat? What if your cat lives in a coffin or sleeps in a pond? From vampires to unicorns to gargoyles, Monster Cats are a new breed of furry friend mixed with the supernatural. Monster Cats delves into what life is like for the people who live with these supernatural companions.

After picking up and enjoying the first volume of Monster Cats, I knew I wanted check this volume out to see more of these adorable cats. This volume includes twenty-six different types of monster cats, some of which were in the first volume and some that are new. The premise continues to be a lot of fun and I enjoy getting to see how the owners of these cats react to their pets' unusual qualities. My favorite of the monster cat species continues to be the Dryad as I love that it blooms flowers when it's happy. Of the new species of cats featured this time around, I really enjoyed the Kelpie. The author's illustration style is growing on me as I didn't love it in the first volume. I do appreciate how adorable the cats are though and that the author uses simple backgrounds so the cats stand out.

Overall Monster Cats Vol. 2 was another fun read from this author and I would highly recommend it to the cat lover in your life that also enjoys spooky stuff.
