It is almost the marchioness Shuri von Neuschwanstein’s nineteenth birthday, and love is in the air…for everyone else, at least! Jeremy is preparing for his upcoming marriage to Ohera, which will make him the new head of the Neuschwanstein family. Elias is off with a new girl seemingly every other day. Even little Rachel has a budding romance of her own with a foreign prince. But Shuri mustn’t let her guard down, because ever since Cardinal Richelieu voiced his suspicions about Shuri’s reincarnation, he’s been plotting. The Church isn’t yet done with the Neuschwanstein family, but instead of targeting Shuri or Jeremy, this time they’ve set their sights on someone much more vulnerable.

Norra is in loveeeeeeee. The prince is creepy. And I hope the stepson isn’t in to her like that. Elias be honest she loves you and will be there to help you. I can’t wait for the next one to come out.

The art is always so beautiful, and I just love Norra so much!!!! I always loved the beginning of the festival scene, and am almost caught up the what I had previously read so I look forward to seeing how everything continues to develop.

Oh dear, it seems like there's new drama, especially coming from the crown prince and possibly Elias. Meanwhile Jeremy and Norra still seem to be rivals, but also oddly friendly in some ways, especially when it comes to protecting Shuri. There may be some foreshadowing given Shuri's thoughts on what would truly strengthen the crown rather than the price cozying up to the church and how they both look up to her. Elias may be in much deeper than he thought as well, though we can only really wait to see how that all unfolds. Cardinal Richelieu is also making waves again, both directly with Shuri and using the prince, not that the prince realizes he's only really overhearing what they want him to in order to use him to their own gains.

More of a 4.5 ⭐
I honestly love this family and Nora so much, but authors love to make their characters struggle and I suspect there is still a long journey ahead, before we can fully end and avoid heretical priests, the crown, and everyone that disturbs our Shuri!
Elias is making serious mistakes and doesn't appear to realise that Shuri would do anything for him, just as she would for any of the children, and it's disappointing that he's believing the smear campaign. Fortunately our girl has Jeremy, Nora, the twins, and all her gathered allies to help her. Also, Shuri's sleepwalking is heartbreaking.
I took a half star away because of the anxiety. 😭

At times I think this story is really good, and then there are other parts where I'm confused reading. Anyways, the art is beautiful as always.

Quite a creepy ending to the volume. Now I have to wait for the next one to come out. Or… should I read ahead on Tapas?
