FAMILY PRIDE AT RISK

Cordelia and Leonhart work together to reveal Katricia’s scheming. With one scandal avoided, Leonhart works to help Cordelia avoid another. The prince talks with Cordelia’s father about how Priscilla’s continued interference with Cordelia’s engagements has left both sisters with a stained reputation. To let the family name regain its polish, Leonhart and Cordelia must meet without Priscilla’s interference. But Cordelia’s not the only one with sibling troubles. Leonhart’s brother Zayd has a grudge against his younger brother. How far will he go to settle the score?

Meh. Too much happened in too short of time and I’m really tired of the perfect MC h whose milk shake brings all the boys to the yard.

3, not bad but I’m not going to continue with this series, stars.

The pace sped up and got ludicrously intense and soapy towards the end, as if the adapter was trying to cram the rest of the first light novel into the book. Still fun, but the melodrama...!

Book 1 and two have some interesting pacing. The story is currently a bit slow, and there is quite a bit of exposition. It’s a pretty okay story overall, and very typical of the genre with some fun twists.

I feel like vol 1 & 2 should have been reduced to a single volume with some editing. It dragged quite a bit and places and so much exposition.

Rushed. Everything, the whole thing, was rushed
To the point that a volume after this one makes absolutely no sense. This is the true ending. After this, it's just dragged-out nonsense

Definitely not as good as the first one with a lot of random drama that doesn’t really move the actually story along at all.

Well, that escalated quickly. Prince Zayd went from just being a little creepy to being outright dangerous. While Cordelia ma not like the increased attention, Prince Leonhart seems perfectly happy with this turn of events, though at least some initial sadness when it becomes clear just how far Zayd has gone and how much he now hates Leonhart. With some well placed allies and unique abilities along with Cordelia's quick mind, they're able to find a rather unique way out of a tight fix and turn the tides for the better. With the exception of perhaps Cordelia's mother, it seems in most regards things are looking up, with those who would be the most trouble decisively dealt with or no longer a risk. It's also heartening to see Cordelia has some other relatives that are kind and know of her plight, even if they weren't around for much of the story, and her father at least can be made to see sense.

Super cute

I do think that the prince's older brother is a little nutters and it's almost a point of breaking believability. Although if you put that to the side, and the delusions that cordelia's little sister has, the story is quite simple and easy to go along with. I was surprised to see a preview for a volume 3, I felt that the conclusion of this volume 2 was a satisfactory conclusion to the overall story. I'm not entirely sure if there is a need for a to be continued. That being said, I do like the characters enough to want to see more of the setting developed with new story plot. I think there's a lot of potential and now that the fairly formulaic template of a romance story has been settled and the foundation of a bigger story is established that now we can actually start getting into a really good story. Of course that depends on the author's talent.

Cordelia and Leo end up embroiled in a scheme cooked by his brother Zayd, who fears for his claim to the throne. It doesn't end well for him.

Priscilla gets her just desserts when she also involves herself in that scheme but ends up losing her beautiful hair and scars her face, which shocks her into losing her memories.

Cordelia decides to accept Leo's marriage proposal and she ends up moving to his castle.

Solid work

Good artwork and layout. Easy to follow dialogue. Fast paced story with a satisfying conclusion. I know there is supposed to be more about Cordelia and the prince in future volumes, but for the record, I want to know more about Halruth and his travels. I wonder if the novels explore that….

Fully shocked at how fast this one is moving in some directions (I very expected them to draw out our leads respective sister/brother issues) but it's a pleasant shock! Interested to see where things go from here since I fully expected them to take 2 to 3 more books to get to where they are. A fun, light read over all with a pleasantly smart FL.

pacing was wild lol. definitely some great drama but I'm starting to get tired of 'the prince magically shows up to the rescue' literally every time. also I'm surprised we got a conclusion to so many plot points at once!! too bad the brother really was the worst :/

6/25 Wow everyone but the MCs is uncomfortably and rather unbelievably deranged. If I didn't already have volume 3 I would let the story end here but since they're relatively easy reads I'll see how the story continues.

3.5 I enjoyed this. The central couple is well matched. The antagonist are as absurd as ever, though.

This keeps a pretty steady pace of storytelling and romance until it DOESN'T! AND A LOT HAPPENS AT ONCE! But it's messy so I like it.

I enjoyed this but it didn't have as much of the humor as the first one did so that was a bit disappointing.

the pacing is interesting, a bit too fast for my taste 🙈 but overall it's a cute story and I love the main couple!

This probably does not deserve 4 stars, but the art is pretty and I’m a sucker for the lion man, okay. 😂 There was soooo much talking, and the bad guys were so cheesy, and the resolution was very “really? we’re doing it that way? okay, I guess…”

I truly love this volume. Cordelia took the time in this volume to find herself and trust into Prince Leonhart and herself. In the beginning, I struggled because her parents angered me so much that no one deserves how they treated her. But the way the story went, it could have ended with this volume, so I am excited to see what adventures Cordelia and Prince Leonhart will encounter next.
