WHICH YOKAI CAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?Meet more yokai cats! The itsumade can talk, but only knows how to say "how much longer?" And the kanadama finds all of the coins in the house, especially the ones that get lost under furniture. Maybe they'll come to your house too!
A collection of comics about pet cats that are part cat and part Japanese mythical creature.
Most of the cats in this collection have been introduced before, but there were at least 2 new ones: itsumade (says “How long” in response to everything) and kanadama (finds loose change). Yokai Cats books are such a cozy, relaxing, feel good read. This week has been crazy busy and stressful with lots of event planning, and this was just what I needed to help unwind at the end of the day. And I know it isn’t just me that feels that way. This series is insanely popular with the students at my school. Now the long, eager wait for volume 10.

Overall, more cute stories. There are some more yokai cats that have not been featured much in recent volumes, though many get only one or two comics. For whatever reason, the author seems to like (or have an easy time writing) comics for the Azuki-arai (which in certain lore is less a specific creature and more a mysterious sound heard in the wilderness) and the Konaki Jijii, neither of which are my favorites.
