The story was as you would expect from this author. Haunting, ghost tied to an object. However the ending was a bit different and I guess sets it up for more books perhaps.

I wanted to like it...

I really wanted to like this story. Unfortunately I didn't feel it was well written. Splotchy is how I'd describe it - not enough details and the story happened in blobs. Sufficient short story but I wouldn't recommend it.

Not good. The only reason I finished it was because it was only about 100 pages long. Super fast paced but not in a good way. Also the dialogue was very strange and I had to go back and check what time period the story was set in (present day) because it read very strangely and old time-y.

The side characters gave away wayyy too much information wayyy too quickly, like as soon as they met the main character.

The ending also happened very quickly and it honestly felt rushed. Spoiler - the main character is told that the demon in the house is tied to some specific objects. Instead of taking the objects and putting them back where her and her sister found them, like the medium told her to do, her solution was to burn her whole house down.

An interesting ghost story!

This was a quick paranormal read which is right up my alley. The story itself was good and so were the characters but I felt like something was missing and was hoping for a little more with the big ending. Like I said, the book was interesting and I'll look forward for the next book.

Novella

The synopsis of this book made me want to read it. Unfortunately the synopsis was the best thing about it. Short sentences drove me nuts and lack of flow plagued the book. I felt like I was reading a book my middle schooler had written. The story definitely had potential.

Well. That was a book. The reviews warned me by saying it was splotchy and the storyline was blotchy. Boy they were right. The plot was spurty here or there. Blows my mind this is book one. Absolutely not.

Evil does live

An evil entity in a stone and jar. It made for the most frightening inheritance for one young woman who had just lost her sister.

I really enjoyed this book. I like how short the story was too. It was easy to get into and follow along with. The message at the end had a more powerful message for me than I expected.

Good story

Very interesting read, I enjoyed reading a good old fashion horror story. Nice change of pace. Recommend reading if you're looking for a good book.
