There was a lot of in between missing… but I had a good time 🤷🏾♀️ and everything don’t need more than one part! Why was I left with a cliffhanger?!

Weak foundation
There are too many misspelled words and grammatical errors and some so severe I couldn’t decipher enough to know what the author was trying to say. What’s worse in the ridiculous characterizations. Gio’s mother is described as a strong single mother who sacrificed so much to pour into her only child. She even changed her profession so she could ensure he received the educational opportunities. Gio excelled even had a 4.0 GPA and participated in multiple team sports. Girls flocked but he had his eye on a girl who had a model body type who was showing him interest. He orchestrated a public production out of asking her to prom to only be shot down by her. He is so embarrassed that he dropped out of school with a few months left until graduation. He vows to not be in a relationship with a woman ever so he can protect his heart because women can’t be trusted. Such a generalization about women discounted the example of a woman that was set by his extraordinary mother. He raved about how much he loved his mother and how much he owed her then figuratively spits in her face because he got embarrassed. He worked so hard to excel but through it all away because he was rejected the first time he shot his shot.
Ivy is in a relationship with her partner for over a year but his sex is so wack because he’s a fine, well built, minute man with no length who was to have sex every day multiple times a day. They not married, don’t live together, have no children, so why is she still there.
Isiah is Mr. Red Flags. He’s childish, throws temper tantrums, makes sexist remarks, possessive, obsessive, hates kids while Ivy loves children. He discounts Ivy in favor of his own desires resulting in them arguing regularly. He’s a cheated but can’t stand the thought of Ivy cheating on him. Why are they together? Because he has decided that she is his ideal woman.

I can’t wait for part 2
This book was so good. Gio has his heart shielded based on a high school embarrassment that he still carries with him into adulthood. Therefore he doesn’t take relationships too seriously.
But once he meets the beautiful BBW Ivy, that all changes. They meet while she is undercover at his school working to see who is giving narcotics to kids. In addition to Gio being a teacher, he also runs his own PI business.
Ivy is in a failing relationship with Isaiah, a fellow cop and detective as herself and when Isaiah feels he’s losing Ivy to someone else he seeks a PI, ironically being Gio.
I hope Gio doesn’t let what he thinks is going on with Ivy deter him from furthering a relationship with her. Ivy needs to hurry up and drop Isaiah’s loser behind.

Ivy is stuck in an unfulfilling relationship with Isaiah and is considering moving on.
Isaiah doesn’t want his relationship with Ivy to end even though he is hiding a betrayal of his own.
Giovanni was traumatized in high school by a female he had a crush on and it caused him to hate women and only use them for sexual gratification until he meets Ivy she has him actually considering being in a relationship but of course there is some drama on the horizon as we can see by that cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see what happens next in part 2.

The story is about a couple that works together. They were not on the same page when it came to the relationship. The story moved very quickly, and I realize it is a novella, so there was a limited amount of space for world building. That being said, I do feel that the rushed relationship after only sharing a few sentences prior to copulating threw off the flow a bit . I feel like I missed something. I’m hoping that in book 2 the characters develop chemistry, and the story starts to flow a little bit better.

I regret listening to this ish in Audible, I can Imagine the second hand embarrassment from the voice actors. This seems written by a teenager. The men on the stories have female behavior. No men would talk like that. The way the story is developing, makes me think the author has never being courted before and that there is no masculine energy around her. Also, the story serms to be all over the place. I'm just 1 hour in and I already know I won't finish it. I definitely would like my money back but I guess I'm taking my L.

Loved this story. There was a part that had me laughing so hard (he was inside me but I couldn't feel anything). Anyway what's done in the dark always come to light and Isaiah had the nerve to be angry with Ivy stepping out on him when he had been doing the same thing and got caught up with his sneaky link, but Ivy needed to close that chapter before she moved on so there wouldn't be any confusion.

I feel like I missed something with this first one but I am pretty sure I read everything. Maybe it was over too quick but honestly it didn't take away from the storyline. Interesting plot...
Ivy can do better than Isaiah. His hands aren't as clean as he portrays, and his attitude is horrible. Tee is wrong for using TJ as a pawn to get closer to Gio. She's a sorry excuse for a mother. Who's dealing in the school? Could it be the soccer players?
