Thank you to Good Reads and Iris Cannon for the Ebook that I won in a giveaway.

This was not for me at all. It was inconsistent, the pacing was off, the writing was clumsy and the misogyny was beyond even for a mafia rom.

Once you start Vicious Souls, you won’t be able to start. This is book one in the Sinners of Seattle series and it starts with such a bang. Dante and Kingsley are great characters, they have so many layers and amazing chemistry. The story is phenomenal and has twists and turns, as it dives into the desire for power and greed.

This was really good, i've signed up for the arc to the 3rd one and thought it was a good idea to read the 1st two.

I loved Dante and Kingsley. I really like the fact that it wasn't a case of them jumping into bed together within the first few chapters, it was sweet the way he held back because she was so sweet and innocently sheltered her entire life.

There was also a few tears. When Dante has to redecorate the house and what he says about his late brothers room. It might just have been the mood I was in because the proposal was so cute.

I would say this is for fans of slow burn mafia, friends to lovers. If you are looking for a lot of between the sheets action your not gonna get it here.

Iris is a new-to-me author, who I discovered last year (and adore) and since then I have been actively "chasing" her newest works.
Oh boy... she did not lie when she said she had something wicked in the pipeline. Vicious Souls was just utterly mind-blowing 🤯 Filled with secrets, betrayals, deception, retribution and scorching hot chemistry... I was literally sucked in from the get-go 💗

Kingsley has always led a sheltered life away from his father, Maddog, as much as he can remember. When news comes that he was gravely ill, Kingsley is escorted back to Seattle by Tate (second in command) in preparation to take over the reins of his father's dynasty that he's built over the many years... One in the underworld.
Dante finds out that his rival, Maddog, is on his deathbed and that he secretly has a son stashed away from the world. Noone knows what he looks like or his location, but Dante is confident Kingsley will reveal himself for his father. He needs something vital from Maddog and will stop at nothing to get it... That is, until he cross paths with Kingsley and discovers his true identity 👀

I loved both Kingsley and Dante as individual characters as they just worked so well together. Dante is such a unpredictable character and I never saw his past life being revealed! To say it was a shocker was an understatement 🫣
Kingsley has had to readjust to his new life, thrown in the deep end and not knowing who to trust. It was beautiful to see their character development throughout the story and I could not love him more!

I don't want to reveal too much about the book (there's a plot twist I can assure you) and spoil the fun but you definitely don't want to sleep on this one! Highly recommended!! 🫶🏻.

3.5 stars rounded up.

it started off a bit slow. i was about 30% done when it started to get me hooked. up until the 70% mark, I was having an EXCELLENT time. It was super intense, written extremely well, and felt like watching an action movie.

But then it got slow again. There also were way too many “not like the other women” moments from that point on. It seemed too stereotypical and felt extremely unnecessary. I understand why the fmc actually won’t have the same life experiences as a typical woman, but instead of it being shallow stuff, like how long it took to get ready or how differently they ate, I wish it was more of the deeper and more emotional stuff. It was also implied a few times that men have better thinking skills than women; that women let their emotions cloud their judgment.

The ending also seemed way too rushed. It was built up so much that just 1.5 short chapters as the epic climax didn’t feel enough. I wish the ending was a bit longer and explained more as a lot of stuff happened.

It was definitely a slow burn. It took a long time for the mcs to get together and it was honestly refreshing to read a mafia romance without the insta-love trope. It also wasn’t really that spicy to me. It might be the only mafia romance book where I found that to be the case and it wasn’t bad at all.

I really liked the author’s writing style though. Would absolutely read the next books in this series!

The action packed scenes were genuinely so good. It reminded me why I love books like this in the first place. Overall, it was a fun read. Would recommend it if you’re looking for a low (but present) spice level mafia book.

Once you start this book, you cannot stop it. With its page-turning writing and suspense, you will be at the end of your seat wanting to know what is going to happen next.

Vicious Souls is book one in the Sinners of Seattle series and it follows Dante and Kingsley. Dante is a mafia boss who works for his dad. He does all the dirty work for the most part however, his dad is out to get his enemy dead because he wants something they have that will grow their business more. So when his father gets word that his enemy is in the hospital he sends Dante to kill Kingsley the enemy's son. However, no one knows what the enemy's son looks like because the enemy has kept him away. But will he be able to do what he is asked of or will he turn away after finding out the true identity of Kingsley?

Kingsley gets word that his father is ill and in the hospital. He is escorted to Seattle to go see him and to take over the family business. Kingsley has been kept away from most of this new life he will need to lead. But will he ever really get a chance to do so?

This book had so many twists and turns, suspense, and shocking moments that I did not see coming! I was sitting at the edge of my seat wanting to read more and find out what was going to happen. This is my first book from this author but will NOT be my last. I look forward to reading more from this author and more from this series.

I received this book as an ARC from Booksirens. I was excited to read this book because I haven’t read a good mafia story in a while.

This was a fun read, the story flowed easily and it had a plot that was interesting to follow. At the beginning I loved the FMC, she seemed strong minded and confident in her abilities, but as the story progressed I got confused when all of a sudden she became a lost person who didn’t know how to be a girl. Also the whole speech that the fact that she thinks like a man is going to help her in the business world (because her emotions won’t be in the way?!?!), it rubbed me the wrong way.

The relationship between the MCs were not rushed, they communicated beautifully and I absolutely loved that, it’s refreshing to encounter that in a romance book.

I liked the book, the only thing keeping me from rating it higher is that the character development went backwards in my opinion.

The twist at the start of this novel was so unexpected that it had me blinking in surprise. It was brilliant! In fact, there were so many twists and turns that it will have your head spinning. I loved both of the main characters and how you got to know more about them as the book progressed (wait till you learn what Dante wanted to be “when he grew up”). Kingsley’s naivety was endearing, while Dante’s reluctant ruthlessness made you realize that not all mafia bosses are born to be bad. I can’t reveal much more without spoiling all the surprises you have in store, so grab a copy because you certainly won’t regret it.

Wow, if this is book one I cannot wait for the next book, the story was captivating and the characters were really sensational. This story was about Dante and Kingsley, Dante is a ruthless Mafia man with the biggest empire. Kingsley is the daughter of his family's enemy. His father wants her killed the father is just as ruthless, except the chemistry between Dante and Kingsley was hot, will the father win with Kingsley dead or will Dante keep her knowing they are getting closer.

This new to me author brings us an intense, intriguing story in Vicious Souls. These characters are fantastic as us the storyline. It's fascinating as the secrets, lies and betrayals come to light and the Accardi's find out that nothing is as it seems. Maddog Murray was brilliant in his deception and
Kingsley Murray, his daughter, brilliantly played her role. Dante Accardi, son of Durian Accardi, and Kingsley are enemies before they even meet. His role is to infiltrate the Murray family and boy is ever in for a surprise. I completely enjoyed my first read by this author and am excited for more

This is the first book in the Sinners of Seattle series, we are introduced to Dante and Kingsley. Dante is very much in control, strong, intelligent, and determined. Kingsley is the "son" of Muddog, kept isolated, alone, and a chameleon of sorts. When Muddog dies, it is up to Kingsley to take over the reins but an MC biker gang, the price of their head, and Dante are making things more complicated.
Its a great start for a Mafia novel, and I can't wait to read more.

If you are in the mood for slow burn mafia romance this book will fill the void. I really liked the relationship between Dante & Moneybags and think it was well done. The storyline is one I have read before but this one was unique in its own way which I appreciated. I did think the book could have been a bit shorter without taking much from the story but overall I did enjoy this one.

Oh my goodness I absolutely loved this book! I couldn't put it down! Everything was perfect: the action/drama, the suspense, the slow burn, the bit of spice, the characters just perfect! Kingsley was a powerful independent FMC that also had room to learn about life from the amazing and protective MMC Dante without making him a complete jerk. I can't wait for the second book in the Sinners of Seattle series!

Vicious Souls is a dark, intoxicating thrill ride packed with fiery tension, fierce love, and all the high-stakes danger you'd expect from a mafia romance done right. Iris Cannon delivers explosive chemistry and heart-pounding drama in an enemies-to-lovers tale that’s as addictive as it is unforgettable.

I loved Dante and Kingsley's story. Very interesting from start to finish. I don't want to give too much away because a plot twist happens in the beginning that changes the rest of the book. But it's a lot about not knowing who to trust.

But definitely a good read and I can't wait for the next book!!

My first by this talented author in a trope I absolutely love! Why? The angst, the intensity, the usual steaminess!

I am so attracted to dark mafia romance and love morally gray, so, this fit right in!

Possessive alpha, strong MFC, and yep, blockbuster material!

I loved Dante and Kingsley together! Hotttt!

I will definitely read the next book in the series!

Vicious Souls – Dante has a job, find and protect the heir of his enemy… Little does he knows how hard that will be. Kingsley is wanted by multiple people and she's not as easy to tame as he once thought. Such a fun enemies to lovers, I really enjoyed this one. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

Kingsley was hidden because her father wanted to protect her by making the world believe he was a guy instead of a girl. The dad wanted her to live a normal life but enemies in the same families were their downfall. She loved her father and wanted to do right by her father. Dante only got close to her to get to the dock's property. They fell in love with each other.

This is a solid slow-burn mafia romance. There were a good number of twists and turns throughout, however, I felt that some of the plot points were drawn out and then resolved quite quickly. Overall a good start to the series, interested to see what Cannon puts out next!

This book was so good until the last 50 pages. The climax was drawn out and broken up into 3 mini climaxes and by the end of it, I was ready to be done. Overall the story was good and the twists and turns were decent, but the ending really put me off.
