DIRTY, RICH ONE NIGHT STAND. That's all it was supposed to be. Her. Him. Pleasure. And then a fast goodbye. He's a stranger. And yet, he's not. She knows him even though he doesn’t know her.
He's the powerful attorney, now world-renowned after coming off the trial of a century which was publicized across the country. And I'm one of the reporters that sat in his courtroom.
I watched him, studied him, got to know him from afar which isn't hard since I know his exact brand of confidence, arrogance, and wealth.
I know his type. I've dated his type. Which is why when I happen to come face to face with him, when sparks fly and heat simmers between us, I know what happens if I say "yes" to Reese Summer.

Oohhh... This one is a must read that has courtroom dramas and a sultry affair between a hot shot attorney and a reporter, both with strong personalities. As this one was previously a duet, as such we have two parts in this whole book. But the entire ride is filled with delicious legal battles and a couple crazy for each other. 🔥
If you're a fan of courtroom dramas, then this one will hit the nail on the head. But what has impressed me about this one, is how beautifully the Reese and Cat love drama is interspersed with a thrilling ongoing court case.
Reese Summers is cutthroat and one brilliant lawyer but he was definitely not ready to meet the sassy reporter when they clashed in the coffee shop.
Cat hates Reese's guts right from the start but also can't deny that spark of flying embers like chemistry between them.
Reese Summers too can't deny the pull of desires he feels towards Cat but when he's amid the case of his career, the 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 reporter can't be a distraction to him.
Yet these two come together like fire and so begins a hot affair that starts slowly turning into a blazing fire of feelings and affections.
I freaking loved the Courtroom preps and all the legal drama we get to see. Especially seeing a brilliant attorney like Reese in action, had me glued to the pages.
There are many complications that are cleverly tangled along in the story such that everything seems to be interlinked and could affect the relationship between Reese and Cat.
I really loved how Reese is with Cat. Right from the start, even though, Cat was reluctant and understandably because of the way her family is, yet you can clearly see that REESE IS ALL IN WHERE CAT IS CONCERNED.
I love a man who owns his decisions and knows his mind and once set he doesn't back out but stays and that's what Reese was like. Never mind the many curveballs and complexities they face especially that last incident towards the end, when the stakes reach an all time high.
But Reese is a strong man and someone who always stays and keeps his word.
Ahhh.... I loved Reese and Cat and I can't wait to read the next part of this duet. Loved this one.
Ooohhh.... We are back to the delicious courtroom dramas and a couple who're madly in love and get to see and experience that bliss first hand along with them with loads of 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 times as bonus.
After reading the first book, I was oh so overjoyed for this follow up book where we continue life with Reese and Cat, two years later and now leading a happily married life.
But there's another huge case that Reese has taken on and once again we find ourselves smack dab in what might be the second biggest trial case for Reese Summers.
Reese is under a lot of pressure right now as he finds himself a twister when the night before the case starts, an exposure comes to light which might force Reese to change his entire game strategy.
And if this wasn't enough, Cat now has to grapple with keeping a secret of her own from Reese lest he gets distracted from his high profile case and she doesn't want anything to take away from her husband's focus now.
Add to this pile, comes a blast from Reese's past that might test the strength of the bond that Reese and Cat share.
We have a lot going on in this one but I feel everything that happens just keeps you engrossed and intrigued to know what will happen next.
Once again, seeing this master Attorney in action was amazing and I just loved the magic that Reese and Cat create through their mutual knowledge of the legal matters which shows in their work and also the way they expertly twist the current happenings to bring forth the truth no matter what.
The gang of friends were amazing in their support of Reese and Cat. We have the besties of Cat - Lauren and Lori and also their respective husbands Royce and Cole being there for Cat and Reese both in the trial and helping find evidence and also emotionally.
My most favourite was getting loads and loads of Reese and Cat times together. Ahh... Watching them and getting to witness the kind of love and bond they share has my entire heart. That's how a husband and wife should be who are madly in love with one another and also stand by each other no matter what. They trust implicitly and are each other's strengths.
The 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 times were hot also but more so beautifully intimate and gorgeously special. Ahhh.... I need me, a husband like Reese and would like to have a marriage like they have. Absolutely loved loved this one.
What a great book about a wonderful, fully committed couple with awesome chemistry. Lisa is a fairly new author to me, and she can really tell a story. You get so engrossed in her books that you can't put them down!
Reese and Cat meet in line at the local coffee shop when he jumps in front of her, and she goes on to tell him about himself and he loves it. He is instantly attracted to her. Cat doesn't know who he is, but she knows he is tall, very attractive and rude and has no problem speaking her mind. Cat is on her to court as she writes a column about crime stories and court cases. When she later walks into the court room to cover the high-profile trial of the year, she finds out Mr. Tall, Sexy Asshole is none other than the guy from the coffee bar. These two run into one another again and this starts off a great romance. Cat comes from a family of Attorneys, gave up her law career and in addition to her column, she is a best-selling author of crime novels. Cat wants a one and done night with Reese, but Reese wants Cat, and plans to have her long term. He is not only drawn to her beauty, but her sharp legal mind. He was all in and told Cat that as well as told Cat, not to run from him or their relationship, if she did... he would run after her. Reese appreciates her take on his court case and calls out the prosecution and their lack of evidence in her daily column.
This couple goes on to stay the course and I just loved reading about them. I love that Reese was not afraid to show Cat how he felt and just the basic holding hands, was something he did when ever they were together… LOVED IT! While the romance did not have too much angst, there was some family drama from both sides.
My favorite line from Reese, “You are my woman now, Cat. I will protect you and I won’t apologize for that, and I don’t know why you would want me to. But I’ll communicate better.”
This couple knew what they both wanted and wouldn’t settle for less, but they also knew they had to be honest, faithful and communicate with one another. Past relationships and family showed them what not to do to have a successful relationship.
Part 2 of this wonderful book is two years into the relationship, and we have a new trial that Reese is defending. Cat is still writing her daily column as well as being a best-selling crime story author. They are still hot together and for one another. The epitomize what a super couple is, and I love it! We get a blast from Reese’s past who causes all kinds of drama, but our couple stays strong, and it only brings them as well as other family members closer. You can’t go wrong with Lisa’s books, they are captivating, and the court room drama is so interesting, with all the legal stuff going on, you don’t get bored, and this couple as a legal powerhouse is all that!.

4.5stars--DIRTY LAWYER is the fourth instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult SCANDALOUS BILLIONAIRES erotic, romantic suspense series. This is attorney Reese Summer, and attorney/writer/columnist Cat Maxwell’s story line. DIRTY LAWYER is interconnected with the author’s Walker Security and the Tall, Dark and Deadly series. Several characters cross over.
==> NOTE: DIRTY LAWYER was originally released as a two-part duet: DIRTY RICH ONE NIGHT STAND and DIRTY RICH ONE NIGHT STAND-2 YEARS LATER.<==
Told in two parts from dual first person perspectives (Cat and Reese) DIRTY LAWYER follows the building relationship between attorney Reese Summer, and writer Cat Maxwell. Cat’s latest assignment is to cover the ‘trial of the century’- coverage that will earn Cat another book deal but a deal she refuses to due to the terms presented. Enter defense attorney Reese Summer, the man with whom Cat will fall in love, and the man who wants more than a ‘dirty rich one night stand’. What ensues is the building relationship between Cat and Reese, and the potential fall out when several conflicts of interest cross over to threaten our couple’s happily ever after.
Cat is a former attorney; a reluctant attorney whose interest now lies in covering and reporting about some of the sensational trials. Attracted to defense attorney Reese Summer, their back and forth, acrimonious relationship hides a continuous simmer of palpable sexual energy and attraction. Burned in the past, Cat doesn’t do relationships and isn’t the one-night stand kinda girl but she is willing to push her emotions aside for a chance with the dark and brooding Reese Summer- a chance that could threaten more than her heart.
The relationship between Reese and Cat is one of immediate attraction but an attraction that is caught between the heart and the head. Cat knows to get involved with Reese Summer could quite possibly be a conflict of interest but Reese is willing to risk it all for a chance with our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate, intense and seductive.
DIRTY LAWYER is a sexy, sassy and sultry story line; an erotic tale as one couple must navigate a world that now threatens their relationship, and potentially changes the dynamics of their continuing love. We welcome the return of Cat’s brothers and fellow attorneys Reid and Gabe Maxwell, as well as Royce and Lauren Walker, and Walker Brother security specialist Savage. We are introduced to defendant Dana Warren, and her boyfriend Reginald Hicks, as well as prosecuting attorney Milton Wicker. The requisite evil has many faces.
DIRTY LAWYER is an intriguing, character driven story. The premise is impassioned, the ; the romance is provocative; characters are desperate yet spirited
Lisa Renee Jones's book "Dirty Lawyer" includes two previously published novels, "Dirty Rich One Night Stand" and "Dirty Rich One Night Stand: Two Years Later". This book offers both a passionate romance and a gripping legal drama, making it the perfect combination for fans of romantic thrillers.
The first novel, "Dirty Rich One Night Stand", grabs the reader from the first pages with the intense attraction between the main characters. The meeting of Cat Maxwell and Reese Summer sets off a strong chemical reaction that permeates the entire story. As their relationship unfolds, the romantic thread gradually becomes a deeper, emotional journey where each tries to understand and accept the other's past and present. Reese, who is working as a defense attorney in a high-profile murder case, is as confident in the courtroom as he is in his private life. Legal drama and personal conflict are masterfully intertwined as Cat takes an active role in the investigation through her own crime column, 'Cat Does Crime'. The legal thrills and the unfolding romance complement each other to keep the reader's interest, keeping every aspect of the story exciting and emotional.
The second novel, "Dirty Rich One Night Stand: Two Years Later", also strikes a strong balance between romance and thriller. Two years later, Cat and Reese's marriage is on solid ground, but they face new challenges. Reese is once again embroiled in a complicated trial that receives considerable media attention, while Cat's unexpected pregnancy adds another emotional layer to the story. The family relationships, especially Cat's relationship with her two older brothers, further deepen the story and bring the reader even closer to Cat's world. The legal thread also plays an important role in this section, as Reese's profession is central to the plot, but the dilemmas in their personal lives are equally prominent. The tense atmosphere of courtroom scenes alternating between personal conflicts ensures that the reader is immersed in the story throughout.
Royce Walker and his team at Walker Security play a key role in both novels, as they help to unravel the mysteries and the true background to the crimes. Their presence helps to keep the story exciting as Cat and Reese's relationship deepens.
Overall, "Dirty Lawyer" is a book in which legal drama, romance and crime mystery are perfectly intertwined. Lisa Renee Jones has once again proven herself a master of character development and plot management, making both stories an emotionally satisfying and exciting read. If you are a lover of books that offer both heart-warming romance and gripping legal drama "Dirty Lawyer" is definitely worth the read.
I received a free copy of "Dirty Lawyer" by Lisa Renee Jones via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Part One: it’s a good story. I like the dynamic between the two MCs. I like the way the story developed. And I think it overall was quite good. If anything perhaps the ease in which these two fell into a relationship and the way his cases go and how he knows if they’re innocent is a bit fantastical, but it’s a fictional book where I want a good story, so I can deal. There were a couple of minor typos, and one strange one (where Royce states he’s taking Cat to Lauren, and then explains it again as if she didn’t know a page or two later,) threw me off a bit, but it’s not a huge issue, just needs better editing perhaps.
Part Two: Cat is quite annoying with the whole baby news. The fact that she will be annoying about it through pretty much the entire Part Two was frustrating. I get it, but she’s also so focused on it being “perfect” and life isn’t perfect so she’s setting herself up for disappointment and more stress. And she immediately was so scared about miscarriage but really doesn’t seem concerned about it as she does things like drink coffee constantly. And how stupid are these men (Reese, her brothers) that she can say she has food poisoning and needed to see a doctor but only gets sick sometimes and otherwise is perfectly fine. That’s not how food poisoning works. No one goes to the doctor for food poisoning unless it’s super bad. And clearly Cat was fine. This was a huge plot hole which just made Reese seem like an idiot. If you’re trying to convince us that these two are so in sync that they basically can feel if the other is keeping a secret or holding back even during a trial, how the hell would Reese be so obtuse now?! Makes no sense. Then there’s the fact that Cat immediately recalls her bout with flu and why her birth control probably failed. Then when she finally confirms her pregnancy to Reese (what seems like 5 years later) she says she has no idea how this happened.🙄 again the editing of this book needs better. Then it would be that much better. It’s potentially a 4-star story, but issues like these make me take away a star.
Lastly overall, the author really likes overkill. ‘We’re so us, it’s just him and I, our us is so perfect because we’re us.’ Okay, yeah that’s an exaggeration, but only slightly. Some of the repetitive overkill of descriptions was just too much.
So good story (for the most part). Lots of heat. Good characters along with MCs. Romance, definitely. No cheating (at least between the MCs). HEA, yes.
This is a rerelease of a duet, Dirty Rich One Night Stand, and Dirty Rich One Night Stand Two Years Later. I received a review copy and enjoyed it, but it taught me to be careful of what you wish for. All the times I thought a duet should just be combined into one book—well it makes for a nearly 600 page book which isn’t a one night read.
This is also my first read from this author, but the book has tie ins to other series—some characters seem to have more story than we get in this book. I think I may be getting Savage’s books after I finish with the review books I have ;). The rerelease puts this as book 4 in a series. I haven’t read the first three, but the characters in the blurbs on Amazon don’t seem to show up in this book. It’s definitely ok as a stand-alone. Looking ahead, the 5th and 6th books do involve many of the same characters, so I’m reading them next.
So, all that being said, this isn’t as much of a romance as it is a drama with a lot of spicy scenes. I’m not sure the title is right yet, because the lawyer here, Reese, isn’t a dirty lawyer. Maybe dirty refers to all the sex, which would be fair. And although the characters aren’t hurting at all, this is not a billionaire romance. This is a story of lawyers. Reese, the mmc, is a criminal defense attorney who has never lost a case and never takes on a client who is guilty. Cat, the fmc, is a Harvard law grad who gave up practicing to become a true crime columnist and author. So if you like legal drama, you’ll love this book, because each half centers on a murder case that Reese is defending and Cat is reporting on.
Our main characters have a fair amount of family drama, and some baggage, but overall are a pretty darn solid couple throughout both halves of the book. I liked Cat and Reese, and enjoyed the drama of their court cases enough that it wasn’t a hardship to read such a long book. The legal drama wasn’t too mysterious, but that was ok for me. Basically it’s two smart characters who fit well together and have a lot of sex. Works for me!

Dirty Lawyer is the fourth book in Scandalous Billionaires series. It is a standalone in an interconnected series. Dirty Lawyer is a captivating story filled with intricate storylines, detailed emotions, suspense, intrigue, and intense romance. The compelling characters navigate family dynamics, drama, reconciliations, and legal wranglings. The plot includes two politically motivated high-profile murder cases, a crazed stalker, blackmail, and various members of the Walker Security team. Dirty Lawyer is a spectacular and engaging read.
The story is centered on attorney Reese Summer and writer Cat Maxwell. Cat, a former attorney who has transitioned into a columnist, has been assigned to cover Reese's high-profile trial and their ongoing relationship. Despite their initial attraction, Cat is reluctant to become involved due to potential conflicts of interest. Reese, a successful defense attorney, is determined to pursue a relationship with Cat, even though she is wary of commitment. Their dynamic is filled with sexual tension and emotional complexity, leading to intimate and intense moments. Cat is drawn to Reese, tempted by him yet despite their acrimonious relationship, she is willing to risk her heart and potential pain. The story delves into their intense attraction, complicated by their professional lives, with intimate scenes adding depth to their relationship. The storyline explores the challenges and external factors they face as they navigate a world that threatens their love and the future of their connection.
Reece is a criminal lawyer & Cat who is a writer meets in a coffee shop when Reece cuts in in line. She feels he's rude and arrogant and even though she angered him, he never met anyone he wanted to be around so much.
They eventually end up spending a night together with Cat telling Reece that it's only one night but Reece thinks differently. He knows he wants more with her but she is afraid to commit as she doesn't want her heart broken. With Cat writing a book on his court case she is always at the trial which means that they are always in the same area. Reece makes a point to find Cat and pushes her to go further and they end up getting close.
I did feel that the book could have been shortened a little as it was a little repetitive and in some areas, it was a little drawn out. I also felt that it had a lot happening and I felt a little confused trying to keep sorted who everyone was.
In saying that, I enjoy books with court cases (especially criminal trials!) as there's mystery and suspense throughout the book, and this one keeps you waiting until the last minute!
The steamy scenes are descriptive and go on for a few pages which I enjoyed!! The two of them never really had any crazy drama and always had each other's back. Reece & Cat were pretty down to earth and you could tell that they cared for each other.
Overall: 3.75 out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐.75 Spice/Heat Intensity: 3 out of 5 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Main Characters: Reece & Cat Type of book: MF, Duel 1st Person POV Reading Order: Standalone within a series Title: Dirty Lawyer -- Scandalous Billionaires Series: Book 3 Epilogue: Yes Ending Type: HEA

Cat Maxwell comes from a family of lawyers. Her father is one and her two older brothers are also lawyers who work with her father. So, it was expected that Cat become a lawyer as well. She graduated from Harvard with her law degree and is still licensed to practice. However, 2 years ago, her fiancé, also a lawyer, cheated on her with his secretary. She broke off the engagement and decided to do what she wants which was to be a crime reporter. She has a column called “Cat Does Crime”. She was assigned to “the trial of the century”. A young pregnant woman who was being abused by her boyfriend is killed. The man on trial for the murder is wealthy and married. He and his wife were trying to help the young woman get out of her toxic relationship and get ready for a baby.
On the first day of the trial, Cat goes into her favorite coffee shop to grab a drink before court. She has a run in with a handsome man who has no manners and cuts in front of Cat in line. She decides to call him “Mr. Arrogant Asshole”.
Reese Summer is the defense attorney in “the trial of the century”. He also happens to be the guy from the coffee shop. When the trial is in recess for a break, Reese see Cat waiting in the back row to exit court. He was instantly attracted to her in the coffee shop and is curious about why she’s watching the trial.
Loved part one of how Reese and Cat navigate their feelings for each other. They also deal with their family drama and past relationships that formed who they are now. Part two starting two almost three years into their marriage was brilliant. Love that their rituals are still the same. Plus in part two, there is another exciting trial with twists and turns.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cat is an author who is writing a column about a high profile trial. Reese is the attorney for the accused in the high profile trial. Their chemistry is instant. Their relationship grows quickly and naturally. They have to keep their budding romance under wraps because they don't want it to become part of the case that the press talks about. Oh and some other stuff happens. (Disclaimer: I am a fan of Lisa Renee Jones' books. I'm a bit of a fan girl.)
Cat is an interesting, multidimensional character. She is a licensed attorney and successful author. She has broken from her family to live her own life. I really like how smart and self sufficient she is. I also enjoyed reading her journey from feeling alone to learning that she deserved her family's love and support. Reese is a high power attorney who doesn't lose cases. He is immediately drawn to Cat. His family has issues that he avoids by keeping his family at a distance. He has a journey to learn to open up to Cat and dealing with his family. I liked that the Walker crew showed up in this book. I like the mystery of who done it. I really liked the fact that the characters actually had logical and normal thoughts about their relationship. It was refreshing!
I didn't totally understand the stress at the end of the story. It felt a little rushed or added on. I wanted to know more about Cat's brothers and Reese's siblings. I know this was a stand alone story but I was left wanting more!
I would recommend this story to anyone that is already a fan of Lisa Renee Jones' work. This is a contemporary romance written in alternating first person POV. If you like straight forward romance with a little legal action, this story is for you!.

There is nothing about Lisa Renee Jones' writing I do not love: the intricate storylines, the finite details, the depth and breadth of emotions, the suspense, the intrigue, the white hot romance and the compelling characters. Add in family dynamics, drama and reconciliations, legal wranglings, two politically motivated high profile murder cases, a crazed staker, blackmail and assorted members of the Walker Security clan and you've got an absolutely spectacular story start to finish in Dirty Lawyer.
I loved this pair from the beginning. They're intelligent, successful, driven and richly layered. They've had their share of bad relationship experiences so finding that they immediately click puts them on guard. Neither could have imagined that a brief encounter while standing in line at a coffee shop would lead them to find the love of a lifetime. Reese Summer is a highly successful defense attorney, runway model gorgeous and wears a suit like nobody's business which is why he's known as Mr. Hotness. He's a workaholic which has negatively impacted his relationships. Cat Maxwell is a former criminal attorney turned widely read legal correspondent. She's reinvented herself by distancing from a toxic family environment and pursuing her own dreams. She's prickly as a cactus, sharp as a tack and unafraid to speak her mind. The love is there almost immediately but it takes time to build the trust to go along with it. They seem to be challenged at every turn and while they are strong separately; together they're unstoppable.
Hold on to your hats & chair for this one. I went in expecting a normal length novel, but this story is epic… like prepare your life for it in imped on it! I really loved the Dirty Lawyer, known as Reese Summers, the man is legal royalty. He chooses his cases, kills it in the courtroom oh and has his sights set on a certain woman who blew him off and away the day of his biggest trial. Cat Maxwell follows the big trials, had her own column in the press and a best-selling novel. While she is a trained attorney, she refuses to follow her family and serve herself. Instead, she’s writing her own path, and right now she’s set on a certain lawyer who she calls Mr Hotness. The cat and mouse story of Reese and Cat is amusing, hot and full of legal jargon. Set in 2 parts, the first half follows their getting together, the trial of a man who is charged with killing a woman and her unborn baby and how much Reece cones to rely on the one woman who pushes his boundaries and buttons, but together they are an incredible duo. They find themselves doing everything together.
Part 2, is the continuation of Reese and Cat’s love story and another court case to make the perfect whodunnit. I loved that this pair are 100% in each other’s corner, even when the world throws everything at them, they always come together as one! Who would have thought Cat and Reese’s beginning started with a fight in a coffee shop now they fight the world together. This ending is perfection, to an amazing story and couple!

Reece is a criminal defense attorney and the best at what he does. Cat is also a lawyer, but uses her law degree to write columns based on ongoing trials. When Reece cuts in line at the coffee shop he is automatically an a**hole and what starts their story.
This book is the combination of Dirty Rich One Night Stand and Dirty Rich One Night Stand Two Years Later. I will admit it too me a while to realize Dirty Lawyer was two books put together, which I didn't know until book 1 ended and I started reading the second book, but even 500 pages into this book and I was still hooked. I was happy to see characters that we have seen in MANY of Lisa Renee Jones' books and they are always so great to see. It was fun to see the relationship between Cat and her two brothers grow and become stronger.
Reece and Cat have drama they have to get through, which in someways makes them stronger, but they are always there for each other. They are each others' rock, confidant, and other half. This isn't my favorite book by this author, but it is definitely high up on the list of my favorites. I would love to see more of Reece and Cat and I cannot wait to see what is in store for us next in this series.
Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review from Lisa Renee Jones.
What a lovely surprise! I feel like I got two books in one. Part one, where there is a great meet cute with Cat and Reese in a coffee shop that was the beginning of great romance. Part two, almost two years into the relationship. I didn't think I was going to like it, but I really did.
Reese knew. He knew from the very beginning Cat was exceptional and he never deviated. This man is a serious contender for best book boyfriend ever. Cat knew. She knew but she didn't trust her instincts. She was perfect. She was so smart and actually stayed smart to the end, and had strong ethics all the way through. She was such a partner to Reese without sacrificing who she was independently. Even more wonderful, Reese supported her as well.
I do believe my favorite part was how they built their relationship into something truly exceptional. If you're lucky, you've met a couple like this, who are completely in sync and devoted to each other. I have, once, about 25 years ago. They are just as in love today as they were then. These two reminded me of them.
Really, such a good read. I can definitely recommend this book.

The book is number 3 in Scandalous Billionaires Series and is a standalone. It's the story between lawyer Reece and writer Cat that writes a book on a case of his. They have a one night- well that is what Cat wants but Reece has other plans- and they end up being around each other all the time bc of that, and finally Reece pushing her further they end up getting close.
It's a big book, that in my opinion could be a little shorter, taking into account that in some points and areas is a little repetitive and it was a little drawn out. It has a lot of information and a lot going on that found myself struggling to remember or understand who is who....
Buuuuuuuut if criminal law cases and court cases are your thing and excite you like me, then you will find it thrilling, suspenful and keep you on your toes till the last page!
No bid drama between mcs(thank God!), on the contrary they stand for each other, the smexy times between them are quite discriptive, which I enjoyed a lot and our mc are not cocky or anything but rather down to earth and caring for each other.

What a fantastic tale about two souls that are meant to be together. Lisa Renee Jones brings these wonderful characters to life and pulls you in from the very first page to the very last. I was so pleased that there were two parts to Cat’s and Reese’s story that were included in one book. The story has love, intrigue, and absolutely wonderful characters! If you love romance, suspense, and incredible steamy scenes, you’ll love this! While this is book 4 in the Scandalous Billionaires series, you can read this standalone.
Cat is a strong independent woman that is Reese’s everything: Smart, funny, sexy.
Reese is a charismatic lawyer who falls for Cat and when he wants something or someone he stops at nothing.
I so enjoyed their journey together and couldn’t put this book down. Cat states it perfectly, “I want to come home. It is home. You are home.” Isn’t it everyone’s dream to find that special someone that is home? It just reminds us to hold on and never take each other for granted, which is perhaps the best lesson we could learn.
Another great book from Lisa Renee Jones!. A rollercoaster of emotions and 2 great characters in Reese and Cat. A real page turner which makes you want more and more and to know it Reese and Cat will get their happy ever after. A great story line running throught the book will want you wanting to know how it is going to end.
A hot shot lawyer and a former lawyerr turned colomnist - what can go wrong??! Cat and Reese don't get off to the best start - she calls him Mr Arrogant A - to his face and he thinks that she is just some blonde in the coffee shop more interested in her phone than anything else. The tension and chemistry between them is hot and off the scale - watch out for those steamy bedroom scenes (not that they all take place in the bedroom!)
As they struggle to trust each other and work together on the trial of the century, they must make sure that all secrets are revealed so nothing can come between them, both at work and in their private life.
I love the cameo's from Royce and Savage from Walker Security.
A definite recommend and I can't wait to read the next one.
Dirty Lawyer by Lisa Renee Jones was an exciting, suspenseful, drama filled and off the charts spice romance. I love this author writing style she really keeps me on the edge of my seat while reading her books. I never know what’s going to happen next and it keeps me turning the pages just to see. I loved this storyline it was original and had me hooked by the first chapter. The characters were complex and had a undeniable chemistry. I loved their banter and wit. I laughed, cried and fist-pumped a few times while reading this book.
Cat is a strong, independent and loyal woman. I loved her quick wit and determination to make it on her own. She was sassy and knew exactly what she wanted. Reece was intense, dirty mouthed, and a total Alpha. He never backed down and always got what he wanted. Their chemistry was unreadable and explosive. I loved the angst and spice in this book. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the Scandalous Billionaires series!!!.

Dirty Lawyer by Lisa Renee Jones is the fourth book in the Scandalous Billionaires series. Honestly, the story captured my attention from the very beginning and held my interest until the very end! It's a murder trial ("The Trial of the Century"), and the defense attorney is Reese Summer ("Mr. Hotness"), while Cat is a true crime author, and she's a journalist with her own true crime column in the New York News, and happens to be covering the trial. She is also a non-practicing attorney.
Reese and Cat have an instant connection that neither one knows what to do with. Reese is a life-long bachelor at thirty-five, and Cat is a twenty-nine year old with trust issues due to her bad breakup two years earlier.
The story is so realistic and very well-written. It is very thought-provoking in the legal world. The author did an amazing job telling this story, not only from a romantic perspective, but also the murder trial. An excellent read that deserves way more than five stars!
What a ride! This a duet of the lives of Reese, a criminal defense attorney and Cat, a lawyer who prefers to use her expertise in reporting about courtroom drama. They have an incredible and beautiful relationship that I couldn't get enough of. From their tumultuous start to their "perfect" life together it is an edge of your seat intense portrayal of two intelligent, sharp and dedicated people who find they can't live with the other.
This book is a legal romantic drama that has many supporting characters that I found confusing in some points keeping everyone straight as to their roles. It also emphasizes the point of innocence until proven guilty and ethical behavior that I found refreshing. I highly recommend this book for its entertainment, for justice and for a happy ending.

The author managed it to paint the characters with impeccable, sizzling chemistry from the get go, the two spark electricity wherever they meet... Embedded into an interesting story, with big court cases going on, the story between Reese, the lawyer, and Cat, the former attorney changed to columnist and book writer, find their way from that instant spark they feel upon their first meeting all the way through to their happy end. The nice part being that they always find a way together, believing in each other and working to overcome the hurdles as one. Though there are a few parts which are slightly repetitive, this book has great world building, connections to other books you get a strong urge to also read, characters who are realistic, funny and loveable, intimate, intense steamy scenes and a great story all along.
This book is so good. Lisa Renee-Jones has a way of making all her characters come to life in her books. This book is a testament to that. Cat and Reece are both against relationships until their fate filled meeting. This story has so many twist and turns that make it a page turner that I could not put down until I finished it. It is an epic love story but it deals with darkness and light of being a criminal attorney and a lawyer that writes about court cases and the judicial system. They have personal struggles that they have to overcome. Those struggles makes Cat and Reese have a stronger bond. I really enjoyed reading story. I would give it more than 5 starts if possible.

Dirty Lawyer Book 4 By Lisa Renee Jones Main Characters: Cat and Reese I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 5 out of 5 stars Wow, I just love any and all of Lisa's books. This was no exception. Reese is a criminal defense lawyer and Cat is a writer who has her own following. Cat sits in the courtroom and analyzes the daily happenings in cases. They happen to meet in a coffee shop and Cat basically tells Reese off, finding him too rude and lacking manners. There is plenty of steam in this standalone book with a HEA ending in this series. Reese has never lost a case and Cat finds him gorgeous and completely understands why he is called Mr. Hotness which of course Reese hates.
I really enjoyed Dirty Lawyer. Part one had an interesting meet cute, but then the chemistry between Reese and Cat was unremarkable. Reminiscent of a couple of other instalove, popular romance novels. 😊 I loved their banter about the court case, and how he asked her for advice. And more so how she gave the advice through her column. Part two, was not as good. I think I missed some thing where Laurie and Cole came into the mix, maybe there’s another book I mixed. The courtroom part of it was entertaining, I got sick of all of her contemplating on whether she should tell him her news though. You still see their intense love for each other. Overall highly recommend. Standalone . Super sexy. MF.
Reese Summers, hotshot "Mr. Hotness" sexy lawyer runs into Cat Maxwell a journalist waiting for coffee. Her collum is a trial blog called Cat Does Crime. I love their witty banter; their sexual tension is off the charts. He's an arrogant lawyer out to win his case. He finds himself attracted to Cat, but once he knows what she does for a living he's livid and thinks he's been played. I love these two together especially when we see Cat's insight into his law cases and her brilliant analytical mind of a criminal lawyer past. They are the perfect pair, but can they trust each other? They both have a past that keeps them from trusting and believing in their newfound romance. Another gripping read in the scandalous billionaires series. Loved Cat and Reese. I loved their first meeting even though it did not go well. They don't know who the other is. Reese is the defense lawyer for the trial of the century and Cat is a journalist with her own column and she is following the case. She also has a law degree. The chemistry between them is hot. They both want each other, but know they cannot give into their chemistry. They do eventually get together. There is so much mystery suspense, twists and turns along the way. They get to their happily ever after. I am so glad that whole story was in one book as it was originally a duet. Cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Dirty Lawyer is the fourth book in the Scandalous Billionaires series. This book was originally released as a duet, Dirty Rich One Night Stand in 2017. As with the other books in the series I had not read this one so I was looking forward to cracking it open and jumping right in. I fell for this story about Cat Maxwell and Reese Summer. She is an author and he is a defense attorney. They meet when she is writing a column about a high profile case and he is the defense attorney. They have an instant and hot chemistry that sizzles off the pages as you read. But they also share something deeper, and the author draws that out nicely. Highly RECOMMENDED read and a great addition to the series.
I loved the story(ies), I truly did but there was no depth to each scenario which is why I say stories. The book starts flowing nicely then after the author starts to develop the characters and storyline, we hop to the future again and again. I'm happy to know what the future of Cat and Reese are but the transition was rough for reading and ended up like more of a synopsis rather than a nice flowing book.
Now about the story. The book is about Reese, a high profile criminal attorney who desires Cat, a crime blog reporter/author and is also from a family of elite lawyers. Her blogs are about cases that end up in a courtroom which she sits in on to give her perspective. A chance meeting leads them to an unexpected reunion in court and the drama that overflows from it.
The story is about their growing romance, what happens in and out of the courtroom as well as to them as a result of his cases. Let's not forget the family drama that could leave them questioning their future together.
