This one was the epitome of an emotional rollercoaster, I had to have a bath to decompress 😂

The relationship between Callie and the twins was beautiful and so well written, I felt like I endured every emotion they did from start to finish 😫

If you’re after something that will break you down and put you back together again along the way then this is the one for you. If Mia can produced this as her first book then I’m really excited to see what else could come in the future. A great debut novel from such a young author.

This is a dark why choose romance. It will not be for everyone and you MUST check the TW/CW before starting. The content will not be suitable for everyone. This covers very dark topics that may be triggering.

Well… this packed a punch that was totally unexpected!

This was less spicy compared to the books I usually read and definitely more on the emotional side to what I would expect from a why choose. That being said, the spice that was present was quality. The way Mia laid the foundations for the story with the spice intricately woven in was brilliant. It was a heart wrenching read. I felt like I was playing emotion roulette with every chapter I read; I never knew which one would ruin me. It kept me on my toes, that’s for sure.

To say this was a debut novel; what a book! It had a well structured plot; it was full of crippling conflict that broke your heart and gave you all the feels alongside beautifully written characters with tragic back stories. I loved how Mia gave each character the same level of detail and attention so you felt like you understood them all on the same level. Mia painted the most beautifully tragic picture with this story. The level of empathy seen in the characters and their development throughout the story was brilliant. I connected with this book on an emotional level and loved how Mia dealt with the trauma scenes; it showed a great level of care and love.

This story follows the life of Callie, her three brothers Callum, Connor and Cameron and her father Derek. Callie is currently living the most horrific nightmare alongside her two twin brothers. Callie and the twins start college and their lives slowly start to blow up and the secrets they’ve held on to for years start to unravel.

Callie is such a brave, loving soul. It was hard to not fall instantly in love with her. Watching her endure the things she did through the book seriously played with my heartstrings. She never deserved any of it but yet she took the brunt of it to protect those she loved. Every. Single. Day.
Callum and Connor were instant hits; their protectiveness over Callie was endearing. Mia did an excellent job with the polar opposite characters in the twins, one grumpy and one sunshine. It made for a fabulous duo.
Kat was super loveable, the best friend any girl could want. I loved how their friendship grew and it goes to show, you can find friends even in the darkest times of your life. This was a relatable friendship, I loved it.
Ryker, Nate and Brad; what a trio this was. All three were completely different and the group dynamic worked really well. You had the typical traits you see in why choose, the sexy one, the soft one and the funny one; but you also had compassion and empathy thrown in there visible in all three characters. It was a feel good group but I wish I could have seen more of how the polyamorous relationship developed.

A very dark RH romance, packed with violence, trauma, drama, vulnerability, action, suspense and passion.
This follows Callie and her twin brothers and the abuse they have to endure at the hands of their cruel father.
Across multiple POV we follow Nate, Brad and Rkyer as they come together to help Callie and her brothers, and how they fall in love with her. This story explores a polyamarous relationship, healing after trauma, and protecting the ones you love in a very emotional way. I loved the chemistry, found family, passion, and bonds of friendship weaved throughout this.

***take a 👀 at the trigger warnings ⚠️***

From the start you are drawn into the story of Callie and her twin brothers, what they go through is dark and disturbing more for our FMC but not distracting from the guys. We also have an ex Ryker who disappeared when she needed him most who makes a re-appearance. To make up her RH we are introduced to Nate and Brad with their sister, Kat who quickly becomes BFFs with Callie. They find their lives intertwine through their father and everything Callie and the twins have gone through comes out but it doesn’t stop there 😬🖤🔪🩸

Well written and kept you reading.

I was given an opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Our FMC is a very strong character, she had moments of doubt, but no matter what she had constant support of her friends & family throughout her story to get her to her happily ever after.

This was a dark romance, light on the why choose. It was a great debut novel and would be a great starter for someone that is new to dark romance. There are some heavy themes throughout the book that are handled very delicately but ‼️PLEASE check your TW’s‼️

Ahh let tears dry, the book was amazing I had to pause a little to enjoy it and savour it(well except the blurry eyes here and there)
The book didn't drag and that's my favorite part, no unnecessary miscommunication, no unnecessary scenes that drags too long and it makes the book more amazing to read🤭. And no errors which was also perfect.

And if caring about a girl is a book this will pass for it. The chemistry they developed all, their friendship, and the twins, oh God the twins, the cuties. Their obsession with their sister is always my Roman empire lol.

Cameron what should I do with you ugh- I feel like puking whenever he sort of appears or I think about him ew

I really enjoyed the book it was amazing, it was perfect and, it was 😭😭😭😭😭, tears every seconds which i also find appealing.

My thoughts: Thank you to @authormiasian for allowing me to be part of this incredible ARC team & providing an ARC copy of your novel!

1. I truly loved every single part of this book from start to finish, despite its gruesome and dark themes, there was also so much light, love and warmth in this book. I truly appreciate the contrast between Callie when she was happy and content to when she was overridden with the devastating trauma she had to face - she was such a complex character and you could tell why she was so special to the other characters.

2. I’m not a big reader of polyamory novels - let alone having 3 different options - but wow! I feel like my life has absolutely changed - it was not only raunchy and sexy but each man brought out a different strength in Callie, and their different approaches with her gave her everything she needed to find that strength within herself. I’m afraid Brad is the top favourite for me though!🤭

3. Can we just talk about what an amazing friend Kat is 💞 just absolute best friend goals - she had a both a protective nature but she also didn’t restrict Callie from making her own choices and decisions and was constantly by her side throughout!

4. Callum and Connor 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 Big brother goals x100 - I would really love to learn more from their perspectives and have books centred around their stories in the future - Callum is the light while Connor is the dark in their twin partnership and they were often the juxtaposition of one another; however as a team they worked well to look after and protect their baby sister!

5. I was incredibly heartbroken hearing the tragic backstory between Ryker and Callie and you could truly appreciate why they still held so much love for one another 😭♥️

Important reminder ‼️
• Please read the trigger warnings and be sure this is a book for you before reading!

This book is such an emotional rollercoaster! You just know right from the start that it is going to be a heart wrenching story but would ultimately end up being extremely heart-warming.

Callie lives with her father and three brothers, but her home life is far from normal and loving. Except for her relationship with her twin brothers Connor and Callum who she has a very close bond – it is really beautiful to see this between the three of them even in. the middle of the darkest moments of the book.

The three boys that come into her life or in one case back into her life are Ryker, Nate and Brad, who all offer something different that Callie needs in order to survive and heal from her past trauma. The boys are all wonderful in their own way and have many special moments with Callie, but I was drawn to Ryker and the more special connect he has with her and was nice to see that grown between them.

Due to the themes and nature of the story the spice was minimal but very well done and in keeping with the journey of the characters.

The villain is one you will just loath, and Mia has done such a great job of making you hate them with a passion with no redeeming qualities at all, while also providing some great twists to the plot.

The nature of the story and the dark themes it covers were handled very well. The FMC was such a strong character after everything she goes through, she was still positive and pushed for her HEA. Such a strong role model.

This was such a great debut novel and I would definitely recommend to others, but please check the TW’s before you do.

What a debut! I love a why choose so I was really interested in this.

Bound by Secrets starts off dark and really quite horrific. Callie goes through so much in her life, my heart broke for her.

I love the fact the author put a statement at the start about the spice scenes to explain and it makes sense. After what Callie has been through, she needs to heal and recover from her trauma before jumping into bed with people. It ended up being more about trauma, healing and the power of friendships than a spicy book but I actually did not mind that one bit.

But when the spice hits.. oh my! I 100% need more MFM scenes! I loved how there was a bit of humour in with it as well. I laughed so much at the slap in the face (IYKYK!)

There were a couple of things I wasn’t 100% on which is why I have given this book 4 stars and not 5.

Although this book is 1st person (and I love 1st person!) it read like a diary in parts.

The other thing was throwing in that one of the characters is gay right at the end. It felt like a tick box rather than actually part of the character. If an author is going to have LGBTQ representation, I think it needs to be woven throughout and not stuck in right at the end to say it’s been done.

But. That being said, this was an amazing read and I was thoroughly invested in the story! I would recommend picking this up.

Thank you to Mia for my copy.

Ryker, Nate, Brad & Callie

Please I highly recommend reading the Trigger Warnings before reading!!!
This book was an emotional roller coaster ride for me from the very beginning of the book I was already crying 😭😭 The abuse that the Fmc and her twin brothers go through at the hands from their older brother Cameron and their father is so fucked. But the love the Fmc has with her twin brothers of each protecting each other is a relationship I would love to have ❤️❤️ I’m glad that Callie gets her HEA with Ryker, Nate & Brad and they support and love her scars and all. Mia Sian I’m honored to have read your debut book and can’t wait to see what else you write ❤️❤️

I received this as an ARC in return for an honest review. These are my honest thoughts and opinions about this book.

Check trigger warnings before going into inks book, it is dark and contains themes some readers may find triggering. It is an 18+ book and contains spicy scenes as well as the dark scene.

This is so well and the plot was perfect. This book had me crying it had me giggling at their banter, it was such an amazing read. The traumatic experiences Callie, Connor and Callum had as well as the other characters were written perfectly, I love when a book can make you feel for characters and the author did an excellent job at this in this one. I would definitely read this again.
I loved being able to watch as the friendships and relationships formed and I loved how solid they were. The character development was so so good. I cannot recommend this book enough, I loved reading it and if you like dark romances, this could be the read for you!

A very emotionally charged book about an extremely abusive family dynamic based around the Father figure who is involved in nefarious behaviors and how his 3 children who were left behind after their mother was forced to leave and ended up in protective services.

The daughter is the main character along with her twin brothers as they survive tortuous situations by chance making friends at college with the children of the officer who is lead on their father’s investigation.

A second chance at young love and introducing two more guys into the equation as she falls for them all they become her safe place amidst the terrible circumstances and fates that they face along the way.

Be sure to check your trigger warnings on this one but if you’re willing to take the dive I think you will love this story! It was a roller coaster of emotions and relatable for anyone who has been through an abusive relationship.

This book was an emotional rollercoaster for me.

Callie lives with her 3 brothers and father, but it is not your typical loving home infact it is the most horrific family home you can imagine.

I have a strong admiration for the FMC Callie, despite the horrific things that has happened in her life, she refuses to let it define her and maintains a positive mindset on what her future could possibly hold.

The bond that Callie shares with her twin brothers Callum and Connor is heartwarming, they are quite the pair, fitting the description of sunshine and grumpy perfectly.

The hatred I felt for a particular character was overwhelming (and I don't mean hate to love) the way mia portrayed this villain was powerful and I truly felt utter hatred for him.

I feel the spice scenes were quality over quantity due to the traumas that the Callie experienced, making for a more realistic storyline.

The story is well paced, with captivating details which have you eager to read on.

Congratulations on your debut Mia, I look forward to reading more from you.

✨ 4.5 stars ✨

This book 🥹 after finishing it, I had to walk away from my kindle for a moment to gather my thoughts. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from this book going in, but this book exceeded my expectations ❤️

At the start of the book, we meet Callie. A girl who’s been abused by her father and his evil men for years. Although she’s been through a lot, she still stands strong and pretends that everything is perfect. Which I find really admirable.

I loved the family dynamic between Callie, Callum and Connor. They supported each other through everything and always picked each other up no matter what happened. It’s rare to see such a strong family bond in a book so I loved it a lot!

Nate and Brad had my heart from the moment I met them. The fact that they were concerned about her wellbeing straight away and wanted to make sure she was okay? They stole my heart 🤧 They couldn’t have been more perfect even if they tried.

Now Ryker 😮‍💨 he was incredible. He was such a caring soul and I loved that he never gave up on Callie 😭🥰

To anyone wanting a book rec, PLEASE read this book. You will not regret it 🤧

✨ Thank you Mia for the ARC ✨

This book truly was an emotional rollercoaster. There were a lot of really heavy and dark moments but also some funny and lighthearted ones.

I loved the bond that the FMC had with the twins and how they always took care of each other no matter what happened and how difficult things were. Also really enjoyed the found family aspect with their new friends.

The chemistry between FMC and the MMCs was so good. I loved how their relationship developed and how gentle and understanding the MMCs were towards her.

The pacing of the book was good and stayed consistent throughout the story. Even though there was a lot happening, the story never felt rushed.

Overall a well written, emotional and engaging book.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.

Bound by Secrets was a phenomenal debut novel by Mia Sian. It will absolutely wreck you emotionally. Prepare yourself by checking the TWs, but if you like dark romance where the FMC is saved from her tr@ümå by the men in her life and you like why choose romance, definitely check this book out.

Callie is the sweetest FMC who just wants a normal life and to be happy, but she has been tormented for years by her father, her father's best friend, and her eldest brother. Her tr@ümå runs deep and she is still in the thick of it. She has a close bond with her twin brothers and their relationship was so heartwarming. They are trying to save each other from their home life but are struggling.

Callie crosses paths with her childhood sweetheart whom she thought had abandoned her in her time of need, but as secrets unravel, she learns more about her past and how she found herself to be in the position she is in. Callie and her brothers also start college where she meets two other guys who all work to protect her.

This was a great read that had my emotions going up and down from start to finish. The secrets that came out and the twists kept me turning page after page as quickly as I could. While there were a few quite spicy scenes, I'd say this book has a medium spice level while the story overall has a dark theme. I definitely need more of the twins in my near future!

This book affected me in so many ways. First off, let me just say to please check the TWs because there are some really heavy topics covered in this book. That being said, Callie Conrad, our FMC has my whole heart. She is one of the strongest FMCs that I’ve come across. She has and continues to endure so much pain and trauma throught the book, that my heart was breaking for her the whole time. But even after everything she has gone through, she stands back up and fights. I love that she had so much support from her brothers, Connor & Callum, her new friend Kat and her brother Nate, their bestfriend Brad, and finally her ex/current boyfriend Ryker. She couldn’t have asked for a better circle of support because she litrally has the best one to ever exist. The character development was on point with this one. The pacing was on point as well. We imeadiatley get into the plot in the very beginning of book. speaking of the plot; it was AMAZING! There were twist and turns and revelations that i never saw coming. I was on the edge of seat throughout the whole book. The spice was minimal, but quality spice. I really apreciated the fact that the author kept the spice to a minimum, given all the trauma that Callie had been through. For me, I feel like she did right by her characters in making that choice and I loved that. This book was emotional, suspensful, inspiring, infuriating at times, and heartbreaking. it basically makes you feel all the feels which is why I 10/10 recommend!

To find out that this was a debut novel completely blew me away. The writing is top notch and you really get pulled into the characters as they deal with trauma from the very beginning.
Callie broke my heart with her traumatic backstory. She and her brothers had been abused by their father, brother and a family friend and were still able to get up and fight every day. Honestly I would not have had the fortitude to do so.
Nate, Brad and Ryker are friends they meet in college. They immediately suspect something is up and work to find out and help the siblings while also falling for Callie in the process.
I’m not going to spoil it, but suffice it to say this is a why choose book so you know where that goes and the bad guys don’t win.
I honestly was not prepared for how dark this book was. It was very hard at certain points not to just put it down and take a walk for a while. If you enjoy dark romance then this is a great book for you to read. I do recommend reading trigger warnings, but other than that the writing was impeccable and the character development was top notch. If you like to feel the characters as you read, this is certainly going to do that.

Bound by Secrets- Mia Sian ⛓️🌹

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½/5

This exceeded all expectations, I didn't really know what to expect. With Arc's I don't tend to read anyone else's reviews as I want to make up my own mind and wow. Just wow. I am struggling to believe this is her debut🫣

All I can say is Callie🥹 The awful things that she has been through, I am so glad it ended the way it did. She got her happy ending, which may not be the norm, but she got everything (well, everyone🥵) that she wanted. The character development in this was brilliant, Finding out about her twisted family, which really were sick and twisted and the reasoning behind their psychotic behaviour (if you can call it reasoning) Then the the bond she shares with her twin brothers which you see throughout, really was beautiful, her own protectors💜 and then the development of her relationship with the three guys was done so well and so respectfully of Callie and her feelings aswell🥹

This really made me cry, my stomach churn, laugh out loud (obviously at Brad, he is my favourite🤣 He is so witty🙈) and genuinely gasp.

There was so many twists and turns in this, you think the story is going to go one way and it goes another, it really did keep me interested the whole way through. I can almost always figure out what's going to happen within a book and this was one of those that I couldn't, which is amazing.

I could go on and on about how good this book is, honestly🤣 I highly HIGHLY recommend you give this a read, and she has other books lined up for the next year and a bit! (Which I am super excited for🫣)

"Your name is etched across my heart because you own it; it belongs to you, and I know it always will"

"I vow to myself in that moment that I will always do whatever it takes to see this goddess laugh."

"I’m the problem. I’m broken. I can’t even enjoy myself with a guy that I’ve started to like because disgusting men have destroyed my mind and my body"

Bound by Secrets by Mia Sian is a why choose, dark romance novel. As I always say check your TWs because this book is very heavy. If you are good to go this book is definitely worth reading. It is heavy on the heart strings and the emotions but after you pull back the traumatic layers there is so much love and hope.
Callie and her twin brothers suffer years of issues under the thumb of their father. Luckily they have have each other and the friends they have met. Also entering the picture is Brad, Kat, Nate and Ryker. As you can imagine they are here to spice things up.
I enjoyed reading about Callie as she faced her trauma. Sometimes it’s hard to read these stories but so worth it in the end. I can not wait to read more from Mia Sian!

Get ready to ride an emotional rollercoaster. Check the TW before reading.

Was so good! Thank you Mia, you brought me to tears. I did have to put it down a few times just to gather myself so I could continue.

Callie is so strong and of course has some self doubt, but she has an amazing support system to help her along. The things she endured are horrific.

Callie, Nate, Brad & Ryker. Relationship goals! The spiciness was perfect amount for Callie’s traumatic background and the guys depth of love for her.

FU Cameron, Derek and Fraser 🖕🏼it has been a long time since I’ve wanted to junk punch a fictional character, but I really wanted to. 100% horrible human beings.

I’m always brutally honest about my reads and I usually go for LOT spicier books then this one BUT Mia did such a job at setting the stage for this heart wrenching story that you cannot NOT fall in love with Callie Callum and Connor. Heads up, make sure to read the list of triggers and if you’re a victim of sexual violence, it might not be the book for you. The amount of trauma Callie experience is a little hard to deal with but the exploration of a polygamous angle is just perfect for her recovery. I really liked it.

This book had me hooked from the beginning, it is a dark romance, so there are obviously dark themes, but they are so well written and so are the sensitive topics Mia covered.
I fell in love with all of the characters, who wouldn't fall in love with Ryker, Nate and Brad! This is the perfect why choose and their ending is absolute perfection.
Obviously spicy scenes are a must and although there may not be scene after scene, the scene's Mia has written were 🥵🥵🥵🥵

Why choose isn't my immediate go to trope however the blurb really intrigued me and ultimately put that aside and dived right in. It didn't take my long to finish the book as I didn't want to put it down.

Whilst it is a why choose story, it's not as in your face bam as others I have read, which I loved. I really liked Callie - I thought she was well written and a great character.

Some scenes are hard hitting but again, very well written.

Highly recommended ❤️

Mia,

I am so proud of everything that you put into this book.

There is nothing that I could write, that could convey how proud I am of you for putting yourself out there and living your dream.

This is a perfect first book, and you should be immensely proud of yourself for all that you've achieved! From wattpad to paper, it's finally here!

There is so much raw emotion in Callie's story and I can't wait for the world to read it!

This is a why choose, dark romance and not at all for the faint of heart. Please read triggers and take them seriously.

Happy release day, Queen! 👑

Really well written book, can I just say how obsessed with Brad I am?! 🥲 I mean, I love everyone obviously but Brad really has my heart with his jokes and loving nature. 🥰
Beautifully written and it really tugs on your heartstrings. All of the spicy scenes were done perfectly and really fit into the plot and seeing just how strong Callie is and so ridiculously resilient.
Can’t wait for the next one!! 🖤

Great book, great debut novel. Loved the story, although heart breaking at times, loved the bond she has with her twin brothers. My little heart really broke for Callie, tears were definitely shed.

She had such a great connection with Nate, Brad & Ryker, piece by piece they along with her brothers put her back together. A story of hope, justice… love. It really touched my soul.

5 star. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m looking forward to seeing where everyone lands in the future because Callie and the twins deserve so much better. Im dying to see how things pan out with Brad and Ryker in this new group dynamic ❤️‍🔥
