Showing how Scripture addresses the issues we face today, author and educator Alice Matthews examines the lives of New Testament women and explains how each of these disciples became a woman Jesus could teach. The author's unique portrayal of each woman's faith, courage, and understanding will challenge you to become a disciple of the Master.

This was an inspiring book for young and older women alike. We see in society past and present where women are not valued for anything but their looks, having children, and keeping house. But this shows that Jesus loved and see women was equally important to shaking the gospel, that they had more to offer if they were willing and obedient.
I highly recommend this book! There is so much "meat" to this book; Alice Matthews puts out a lot of information and even more help. I gained a deeper understanding of God's Word and look forward to how God is going to use this book to make me more like Him!
An easy read, a personal fave of mine as the author enables the readers to glean wisdom by drawing insights from the lives of various women from the bible. May your soul be nourished.
excellent little book as it takes the reader on a teachable journey where there is a lesson to be learned in every chapter, makes you ponder, meditate and go to the Bible to read the chapters examined. It gives you a different outlook on New Testament women's encounters with Jesus and how their lives were changed forever and for the benefit of the woman who encountered the teacher. It explores the change in Mary, Mother of Jesus, the Samaritan woman at the well, Mary and Martha during the dinner party, Mary and Martha during the death of their brother Lazarus, the two widows, the Canaanite woman and how she persisted in her query, Mary Magdalene, the isnful woman, the Hemorrhaging Woman and how Jesus dealth with each one in a different way, but always leading to the same purpose, to recognize the Son of God, believe in Him and determine his unique purpose for each and every woman He met. Great book to discuss in Bible Study, monthly devotionals or to just grow in your daily walk with Him...highly recommended...the lessons are amazing, simple and the message is eternal!!! love this little book...
Great book for any Christian women. This book was a very quick, easy read. It showed the interactions between Jesus and women in the Bible and gave a great dipiction of how as women, we can be taught and we can follow Jesus.
Also, excellent book about the women of the New Testament. Author does good research into customs of the day and has spiritual depth in her current-day application of the lessons from these women's lives.
