Again, I liked the new release. Lighthearted stories with humor and a serious message at the side. Very well performed. Great, fun characters. However, this time, I thought that the plot for the two new stories was not quite as refreshing as in the previous two releases, but this might just be personal taste. On a personal level, I liked the call-back to the movie "Silent Running", which left quite an impact on me when I watched it in my youth.
Very half and half on Part 3 of The Eternity Club. Episode 5 (or 1, if you prefer to go by each release) was atrocious filler in my opinion, while Episode 6 (or 2) was pretty fun with some great worldbuilding.
"The Terrible Shame Of A Tree" was genuinely one of the least interesting, boring stories I think to ever come from Big Finish. Half-an-hour of uninspired claptrap.
However, "Mr Pym Has An Adventure" I found to be surprisingly enjoyable. Hitherto to this part, Secretary Pym had been quite a cold and closed-off character, so I liked seeing some bonding between him and Bernice and the welcome beach scenery around them. Furthermore, the cliff-hanger ending set up the fourth and final release of The Eternity Club nicely. If only it hadn't been spoiled in Vortex Magazine ahead of this one's release.
