Meanwhile in Garderon the priestess Althea must unravel a conspiracy to prevent enemies from overthrowing her King. She and Winteru find their feelings for each other growing, but she ressists the attraction because her heart belongs to Prince Devaron. Kazen seeks a Riftblade, and must outwit the heroes to get it. Kazen traps the heroes in a no win situation, and all seems lost. Can they defeat the demon ninja, or will his machinations trap them, and elevate him to power.
