Is there a forgotten spiritual tool that offers each one of us the ability to heal ourselves, our relationships with others, and even our endangered planet? On The Lost Mode of Prayer, Gregg Braden--the author of the phenomenal book Awakening to Zero Point--examines evidence from both modern science and ancient texts to shed light on a secret lost to humanity in the year 325. According to Braden, this knowledge was relegated to elite priesthoods and mystery schools in the fourth century, leaving a crucial gap in our understanding of the world. Now, through newly translated texts preserved by the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls, Braden reveals the inner workings of this powerful force sleeping in the mists of our ancient memory--and how to use this inner technology to create profound changes in ourselves and those around us.
New York Times best selling author Gregg Braden is internationally renowned as a pioneer in bridging science and spirituality. Following a successful career as a Computer Geologist for Phillips Petroleum during the 1970s energy crisis, he became a Senior Computer Systems Designer for Martin Marietta Defense Systems during the last year of the Cold War. In 1991 he was appointed the first Technical Operations Manager for Cisco Systems where he led the development of the global support team that assures the reliability of today’s Internet. For more than 22 years, Gregg has searched high mountain villages, remote monasteries, and forgotten texts to uncover their timeless secrets. To date, his work has led to such paradigm-shattering books as The Isaiah Effect, The God Code, The Divine Matrix and his 2008 release, The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits. Gregg’s work is now published in 17 languages and 27 countries and shows us beyond any reasonable doubt that the key to our future lies in the wisdom of our past.
Gregg Braden is a new age spiritualist. Disclaimer: I'm more dogmatic than he but I like to reach books from different people with different view.
Braden outlined other modes of prayer: praise, requests for things, etc. but was coy about the 'lost' mode for much of the book. Ultimately, he said the lost mode of prayer was praying as if something is literally happening, already happened, must happen in the future.
Gregg Braden is a fantastic author and speaker. I really dig his pragmatic perspectives bridging science and spirituality. Lost mode of prayer discusses an additional mode of prayer lost during the Council of Nicaea 1700 years ago that is unlike our traditional four forms (blessing and adoration, petition, intercession and thanksgiving). This mode uses a synthesis of thoughts, feelings and emotions to imagine your prayer has already been answered and giving thanks for it. Many examples are given. I’ve begun to incorporate this into my own spiritual practice. I’m looking forward to reading more of Gregg’s books in the future.
Kaj sem se naučil? Ni pomembno kaj moliš oz. prosiš, ampak kako. Kaj to pomeni? ZANIMIVO!!!!
Absolutely Love this book! How he travels around the world to research; and intertwines science and religion/spirituality. I find the Essene, the missing books of the Bible, the many other spiritual and scientific studies intriguing.
