It's interesting how a mystery captures you sometimes. A dead girl later seen alive (hint: she's not a twin). And a mysterious blonde heroine saves the day several times.

What was fun about this book is it connected with another one of his books. "Save Me Twice" covers many of the same situations from Jamie and Bae's perspective. This book is from the perspective of a police detective, Cliff Ford. I enjoyed reading about situations from two different directions, plus different details were provided with each book.

An Interesting Twist!

Very interesting twist of characters and plot. I kept wanting to know more about the blonde haired woman, not realizing that I had already met her in another one of Mr. Toler’s books. Really looking forward to reading more about these characters!

A ride I couldn’t get off of…

…Until I finished the whole thing from beginning to end in one sitting. This was an exceptionally exciting book. Jamie from the Jamie Austen series crossing over to participate in this one. Awesome strategy. Now I’m hooked on two series. You will be as well.

Anna

Never have I read a book with this kind of twist. Back and forth action, questions...I thought I had it figured out then BOOM another twist. Loved the characters and the story!

I liked the storyline but it was a little too neat.
I could have done without the romantic element but the book is a romance suspense so what should have I expected? Will not read next book in series.

Awesome mystery!

This is one of the best books I've read this year, full of mystery and action with romance and it had no foul language. A perfect book for me!

Can't get to excited about Toler's writing it's a bit sophomoric and predictable. I'm glad I got it on Book Bub for 1.99 because that's the right price. I'm not trying to be cruel just truthful.

Good story....but

Don't like all the repetition......... Things repeated over and over again in this story......NOT TO MENTION.......several chapters basically word for word from a Jamie Austen story I recently read.
I do like Mr Tolet's vocabulary in all his books which basically eliminates all profanity. Thank you.
Maybe a little less repetition in the stories would be nice........I'm reading ALL of them !!!

ANNA - Good vs. Bad on the streets of Chicago

I always enjoy a good cops vs. bad guys action book. "Anna" by author Terry Toler definitely fits that description. Detective Cliff Ford is still recovering from the brutal murder of his wife. The same gang continues to terrorize the citizens of Chicago. Ford wants justice. A mysterious woman begins to anonymously provide the edge he needs to take down the gang. Added to this, he becomes acquainted with a beautiful lady who says her name is Anna.
I enjoyed the story and the interaction between characters. It had plenty of action and twists to keep me engaged in the story. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, "Mr. & Mrs. PLATT." -Mr.Bill

Enjoyable read with a quirk of nature, identical triplets, or are they twins now? There's plenty going on with the Strikers and everything and Cliff trying to sort out his personal life. He makes a few iffy decisions but seems to wriggle his way out of the consequences and comes out with some great results (and a girlfriend ?)

I feel I’ve read a different book to other reviewers.

I got approx 10% of the way into the book, but I wasn’t hooked.

I did flick through it and go further on in the book, the bit I read was predictable and so I marked it two stars, as it quite possibly is me and not the book.

As always, read yourself and make your own mind up.

Excellent!

I love this book. It was fast paced and there were twists to story almost every chapter. I liked how invested one can get in the characters. I highly recommend this book. Now I have to reread the Jamie Austin book to put her side of the story in proper perspective.

Amazing Read

Hooked all the way through! Kept wondering where it was going! A true mystery/ thriller with a touch of romance. Has the authentic cop atmosphere with people who keep breaking the mold! Needs to be made into a film! Read it before it reaches the script writers!

Got my interest in the first chapter as. Opposed to Nance who bored me with facts. Toler writes a bang up story with her character Cill Ford. Naturally you are pulling for him as he is the good guy who has lost his wife and meets a girl that arouses him. I really enjoyed the read. 5
