After trying to read this thing I must say it has nothing but ornamental value, and I will put it on a shelf in my school room to add a nice pop of colour.
A different approach to writing about movies. Don’t write about the movies, write about the character types, sets, props, costumes, and other themes and patterns within the movies. That is this book. It’s different, but, like the works of Wes Anderson, each part is enjoyable, though odd, yet part of a coherent whole.
I do not think I have watched enough of Wes Anderson’s films to fully appreciate this book. I did however really enjoy how it was written and the formatting; it feels as if they did right by Anderson and like he would have approved. I especially enjoyed the ties to J.D. Salinger and The Catcher in The Rye.
