열악한 환경임에도 꿋꿋하게 살아가는 수영은 겉으로는 무심해 보이지만 연약하고 소심한 성격을 지녔다. 자신에게 벌어지는 일련의 불행한 상황들을 받아들이고 헤쳐 나가려 하지만 왜인지 자신에게만 불행의 그늘이 드리우는 것 같아 서글퍼지기만 한다. 열입곱, 무모한 호기심으로 인해 누구에게도 말할 수 없는 아픈 상처까지 갖게 된다. 트라우마를 갖게 된 수영은 위험한 분위기를 풍기는 지환이 불편하기만 하다.

수려한 외모에 재력을 갖춘 집안에서 자란 지환은 눈빛만으로도 긴장감을 불러일으키는 묘한 매력을 지녔다. 비밀스럽고 의중을 알 수 없는 태도에 거침없고 제멋대로인 지환은 오래전부터 수영을 지켜보며 그의 곁을 맴돈다.

고등학교 3학년 둘은 같은 반이 되고, 그후부터 지환은 보다 적극적으로 자신의 존재를 수영에게 각인시키기 시작한다. 마치 속내를 다 아는 듯 웃는 지환의 모습에 수영은 본능적인 거부감을 느끼고 그를 멀리한다. 하지만 언제 어디서나 지환의 눈은 수영을 향하고 있는데….

I just finished reading this season 2, and the ending was very cute. But I feel like I don't trust the relationship to end happily. I can't wait for season three.

I didn’t expect the season to end that way and Jihwan needs to be locked up and mentally treated. I have no idea how their relationship would progress at this point because Soo Young hates Jihwan so much—though he’s hurting and having conflicting emotions because it seems he’s caught feelings for Jihwan—and I would give the author a cookie if they managed to justify Soo Young and Jihwan endgame.

I really felt for Sooyoung, he had so much trouble in his life. His finances weren’t the best, his mother was sick, he’d been SA’d. No room for happiness on Sooyoung island. Jihwan seems like he’s the thing Sooyoung needs for everything to be alright. Unfortunately I wish this was how it ended but it doesn’t.

I knew it, the ml is manipulative and toxic and surely in needs of therapy (scared for his therapist)
