Mutuals please read the blurb to this book because it is the most unhinged shit I have ever read.

For context, I had just purchased kindle unlimited and was scrolling through the books to rent for during my travels when the first book in this series popped up. It sounded like ur usual trashy romance and out of curiosity I looked at book two. The fucking juxtaposition between these two books is what the actual fuck.

I chose to read it purely because at that point I needed to be in on the joke.

It was about as awful as I imagined. Even the sex scenes were awful one liners. No characters were likeable and I literally cannot understand where the main protagonist is coming from when Hank is mad at her for sleeping with people. Yes she is single but also she literally tells him she will for him THE NIGHT BEFORE SHE FUCKS SOMEONE ELSE!! No one has redeeming factors.

Also the confrontation with the stalker is the dumbest shit. If this guy is smart enough to find her but then forgets she has a taser after nearly being hit the first time he deserves to get caught. Its like a one page climax.

This book sucked and honestly I nearly didnt even finish it but pushed through because I thought how could it get worse.
It was um… certainly an interesting one

Not my cup of tea.
First of all, this is labeled as a reverse harem which is not what I would call it. She slept around with a few different guys who all just happened to inexplicably fall head over heels with her magical vagina. In the end she does choose only one fella.

Also, most of this book is either just describing her day or sex scenes. There is some action but this book could be much shorter if you cut out the repetitive fluff.

Second, I just didn’t care for most of the characters or how they were written. I didn’t feel the connection they had with each other.

All in all I will say this, I did finish this book but it was more chore than pleasure, and I will not choose to read this author again.

Tw: cheating, s.a.

Well… I made it through, but it was totally cringe.

This is absolutely not RH - this is a “trophy wife” (what an awful term!) who accidentally kills her horrible husband who has lost his mind, then loses her mind and when her high school crush (she’s only 22… also extremely cringe) denies dropping everything for her goes off on a sex spree with every man who looks her way. That is absolutely not RH! It’s complete trash behavior.

Oh - and she’s also “hiding” from a stalker while authorities try to find the bad guys her hubby had been teaming up with, but throwing giant parties splashed over social media…

It’s just truly bad and I regret not DNF at 33% like I was considering.

What a journey!

I received a free copy of this book and I'm leaving a voluntary review.

Where do I start? Josh is bat**** crazy! That was my initial thought when I started reading the book. Also, which nineteen year old keeps the photo a fourteen year old gave him because she had a crush on him? A creepy one. "I’ve loved you since we were kids Sally". Ew. Don't you mean when she was a kid? You were 19. I suppose it caters to an teenage fantasy for some people that gets fulfilled in fiction, but it was a no for me.

Javier was hilarious. Clint was sweet. And the guy with the P name was stable, a real catch. Peter, I think his name was.

I appreciated the introduction of different romantic partners that she actually sleeps with in a story that has a monogamous ending. I was told that an audience can get iffy about the main characters' heads being turned sexually by someone else unless it's a poly relationship. And even then. It was refreshing to have a character like her. I think that's what kept me reading at first. The suspense held me captive though, both in terms of the danger she was in and wanting to know who she'd end up with. Read it in less than a week.

There were moments in the middle where I was wondering what the point of it all was, when she first moved, but I understand it was a set up for her new life and the introduction of new characters.

I enjoyed her best friend, Amber, though there were moments when I rolled my eyes at her, e.g. in Chapter Thirty-eight. Like girl?! Your best friend has just told you she's on her own when that's the last thing she should be and you're like, "Sorry… so about this guy who's been texting me…" Hello?

There were other moments I rolled my eyes, like when she was able to break free from her bodyguard by elbowing him. Haha. She must have some pretty strong elbows.

Chapter thirty-six? Hilarious.

“Are you on a sex spree to the highest bidder? Have your parents disowned you?” That couldn't have been a reporter. Had to be paparazzi, because there's just no way they asked that question seriously. 😂

All in all though, I enjoyed the story and even though I didn't want her to end up with who she did, I found myself defending him at one point, when she went cold and angry at him. That was strange for me. And when he apologized after her getting angry at him, I was like, "what are you apologizing for?"

I mean, I get she's been through trauma and all, but I have to say, "You think I’m a sociopath. That I have “a mental health condition in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others.” That was a pretty good read on her personality.

I like her, but toward those final chapters I was growing frustrated with her, and even though he's grossed me out since they introduced their history, I found myself empathizing with him for a tiny moment, before being grossed out by him again. I'm sorry. I just couldn't get past their history.

The story itself and the way it was told would've gotten a 4.5 from me, real close to a five. But because of who she ended up with and their history? I had to knock it down. Tempted to knock it down to 3.5 but I don't think that would be fair, because the writer is talented, most of the story has been told well, had me in my feelings: triggered, angry, scared, the suspense was great. It's just that bit that I couldn't get over, along with moments that were rushed and those that were dragged out, but those weren't enough to take away from the very entertaining story. It's a worthy read.

From the very first sentence, this book had me hooked straight away. Sally Jones is a trophy wife her older husband has gone off the deep end into a conspiracy theory. He has kept her handcuffed to a bed for three days while he plots a major act of domestic terrorism and has his sexual pleasure with her. She has had enough and strikes back she only wanted to escape but things don't go as planned.

She is on the run for her life with the help of her childhood neighbour crush Hank Bridger who is now a police officer she getting out of town. As she starts afresh her sex life does the same but the fight to keep herself and others safe comes to an end when her stalker finds her new home.

This is an action-packed hot and spicy read that will entertain you and keep you reading to the end.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

4 1/2 stars - This was a very enjoyable story to read. This quirky romance story that's about Sally Jones a trophy wife who got infamous and the consequences that changed her life was a well written story that I couldn't put down. Sally our wife who married a famous conspiracist/terrorist and Hank Bridger, our police man, neighbor, childhood crush, and love interest were personal and entertaining characters with chemistry. The drama and the romance builds. Can Hank protect her from her husband's supporters? I volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received via Hidden Gems.

OMG ok so when I read the blurb on this one I knew this was going to be a wild and hopefully run read. Boy was I right. The situations that Sally finds herself in were out of this world lol. The beginning it felt a little chaotic but towards the middle and end things definitely calmed down to a point that you really got to see the personalities of the characters especially Sally. To be fair not a fan of her when the book first started but boy she grew on me as you see her mature.

Oh boy! Sally Jones is a hot mess! Literally! On the run from paparazzi and a terrorist because she accidentally murdered her husband. On her journey to safety she collects lovers. Unfortunately danger catches up as well as regret for her behavior and loss of Hank who not only was helping protect her but she realizes she loves. Sexy, mesmerizing hot story.

I'm an Anna Alkire fan, because of her gifted storytelling and usually I can overlook the sexy scenes--not my thing so I skim them quickly, but holy guacamole there's a lot of sex in this one!
I liked the twists and turns and the danger, but I almost stopped reading it because of all the sex. I kept reading, because I just had to know what happened and if everything turned out ok.

This is not your typical love story and that’s a good thing. I happen by this author and book by accident and am so glad I did. Not your average story with so many different possibilities. I couldn’t put it down. Will have to find more by this author.

I really wanted to love this book but I think the author could have done so much more with Sally. Sally starts off the book as a trophy wife to a deranged rich man. When he exits the picture she is left as a target for terrorists! The book did have a lot of detail but it did seem to drag. While I wanted to like Sally’s character her inability to commit to someone left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall it was a decent book but just wasn’t something I was able to get into.
