➦I always get excited when I get to read a new to me author and I get even more excited when I actually end up loving the book. These days, unfortunately, it doesn't happen as often as I'd like it to. This book, however, delivered! I was hoping for a fun and sexy read with feels and I sure did get it!
➦The heroine works for an agency that has women trap men into cheating. --are they hiring, I wonder?-- If you want to know whether your man would give in and go home with another chick, hire this gal and she'll be sure to check for ya. It sounds super ridic, imo, but for the sake of fiction... methinkes it's like putting bread in front of a dog and wondering if they'll eat it. I only say that because my dog will do anything for bread. Anything.
➦So yeah, once this heroine gets hired to trap a very high profile man -and a very hot one, if I might add- she can't help but feel attracted to him. Once she gets close to him, she realizes that not all things are as they seem. But she has signed a contract and she must go through with it.
➦The scenario here is improbable, however, described in a way where you can't help but feel bad for the characters. I was rooting for these two from the start. Their chemistry was good and, while they were immediately attracted to each other, their relationship was first that of friends. The transformation to lovers was slow and I love that in my romance books. I might even go as far as saying that this was pretty slow burn.
➦Do give this book a chance if you like friends to lovers tropes and second chance romances full of fun banter and some angst. Oh, and men in suits.

HOLY FREAKING SQUEEEEEEE!!!! I'm in love!!!!!
YAS. YAS. YASSSSSSS!!! I got sucked in right from the start. It had the perfect mesh of sexy, steamy, laugh-out-loud humor and that romance we all desire in a book. This is one of those books that will have you living in your own little bubble and blocking out everything else while you're devouring it.
First of all... the heroine...
Sophia is not your average heroine.
She is not a blushing virgin.
She is a HONEY TRAP!!!

Second, she has cool friends. Hello, LORI ♥.

Add to that the hero, well heroes. Mason and Buzz.
I guarantee you that they are going to win your heart. They already have mine and I don't want it back.
So, Sophia is not a believer in fairy tales or love and is looking to expose her new trap for the cheater he truly is. Or is he? But soon enough, Mason & Sophia got tangled together in a complicated romance that readers will be definitely rooting for.
I am so happy that I took the chance on Sophia and Mason. And Lori and Buzz. To be honest, I had some nagging doubts about Mason, his relationship status wasn't the ideal one, so that got me a little nervous. But the more Mason revealed about his life, the more I understand where he was coming from. My only issue was that I felt the ending was a little bit rushed. I wanted more from them. Those last chapters were not enough.

I want. No, scratch that. I NEED an EPILOGUE!!!
And please, can Buzz and Lori get their own story!

Sophia is working as a honey trap. She flirts with married guys and if the guy is willing to cheat on his wife, then she's trapping him for her. A new case, different than any other she has encountered so far and her client is Mason, a well known young and gorgeous businessman. Instead of a one time trap, she has six weeks to find out if Mason is the cheater his wife claims to be. Six weeks that will bring them together and many things are about to get discovered in the way.
The Honey Trap is a contemporary novel and it's always a challenge and a joy to discover new authors. I'm so happy that I fell about a scene from this book which led me to the author's way and I ended up with a copy in my kindle. I can't tell you how many laugh out loud moments I had with this one!! There are some truly hilarious scenes and I think I won't forget about them anytime soon.
I loved how well written were all the characters in this book and I have a soft spot for Buzz, who is Mason's best friend. I can't wait to read his book!! I think he has an interesting background and his storyline along with his funny character will be amazing!
I have to say that even though I truly enjoyed reading this book, especially the slow burn throughout the book, what actually bummed me was the last 10% of the book. I felt like it was rushed and I don't like rushed endings. Everything happened so fast, their actions didn't make sense and generally the wrap was rushed. I feel like there's something missing now, so yeah I would rather have the ending more extended than it was. I needed an epilogue to keep me happy.
Other than that, this book is great! The characters are awesome, the dialogues are precious and if you need something light, sweet and funny you should definitely pick this up! I'm definitely looking forward to reading more by Karli! :)

I need Mason Hunter NOW!!!
I just loved this book so much. I 've been looking forward to this book for a while and I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all. The story was brilliant i liked how it went there actually isn't a paper that I didn't liked it flowed really well. I hated putting my kindle down. I was gripped from the start. I was dying to meet Mason Hunter and omg he was amazing this guy can do nothing wrong.
Mason is a very wealthy man he is the owner of Hunter Hotels. He as worked his backside off to get where he his he doesn't take anything for granted. Life is pretty good. The only thing that is Ricky is his marriage. Emily his wife is just horrible and it hard to see them as a couple they just don't fit at al. She is devious and is just with Mason for the life his money can give her. As I said she horrible I hated her from the start. She didn't deserve Mason at al he can do so much better. A woman like Sophia is what he needs but he just didn't know who she was.
Sophia is a great character. I understood why she worked as a trapper. After finding you boyfriend in bed with someone else it's going to do something to you. Trusting again is never going to be easy. So her job was perfect for her at this time in her life. Until a big job came up and she saw the face of Mason Hunter. This is where it al changes. Sophia hasn't been attracted to anyone in a long time. But there is something about Mason that is different and it was goin to make this Trap a lot harder.
The sexual tension in this book was just crazy. It was hot from the time Sophia and Mason meet till the very end. I was dying to know how it would work out for them. They just fit perfectly they were so cute together. There banter was so funny they just got on so will.
I would highly recommend this book. Like I said there is nothing I can say that was bad again this book well bar Emily but there as to be a devious horrible woman somewhere in the story. I thought the story was excellent and the main characters were just great. I even loved Lori and Buzz they are Sophia and Mason's best friends who get a lil close in this I was so happy (Karli I m really hoping for there story so please tell me I m getting it) but they are hilarious. Buzz had me crying laughing thoughout this book. The things that would come out of mouth he just didn't care and Lori was just made for him. I luv them. Overall I just loved this book.

What an unexpected GEM this story turned out to be. I absolutely loved the plot of this story.
This was my very first book by this author, I had no idea what to expect and by the ending of chapter one I knew I was locked in.
These characters will suck you in with the humor and giddiness. These two are so complicated and so perfect. Does that make sense? It does to me.
ADDICTED.
You meet the main character Sophia the trapper, I mean it's in the title. Her job is to set the men these wife's or GFs think may be doing them dirty. As the story progresses you see what really comes with her job, the obstacles, and also the trapped.
Mason ahhhh loved him even though from the beginning I wasn't sure I was suppose to. Don't get any ideas about him, just see it through you'll understand later.

This story was a winner, not only the plot was interesting, the author did a great job creating interesting and hilarious characters as well.
I can't stop grinning like a toothless baby reading Mason and Sophia's scenes. Their best friends were hilarious too. Mason and Sophia were so cute, comfortable, respectful and playful towards each other.
Mason was a total heartthrob, he was the example of cool,calm and confident. A self made millionaire but quite different from the usual millionaire heros I've read before. Sophia, despite being cheated by her boyfriend, wasn't an anti male. She took the job to honey trap Mason but after meeting him a few times, she knew that he was unlike her previous traps and there was something shitty about Mason's soon to be ex wife. She wasn't comfortable being on the job anymore and tried a few times to release herself from the contract + trying to stay away from Mason to protect their hearts from more damage [woa, cheesy much?]
Loads of good stuffs in this book, pick it up and enjoy

It's been a looooong time since Karli came out with her next book (life got in the way) but she comes back with an amazing book!! Yes, I am one of her beta readers but no, this review isn't because of my love her. It's because this book is truly freaking amazing!!
The Honey Trap is a unique and enthralling read. I was immediately taken in from the start of this book and loved every bit of it til the end. And I have to say that Karli's writing has improved greatly since her last book.
This book truly took me by storm. It was nothing like I expected and the characters were so easy to fall in love with. The Honey Trap is a company that people use to hire women to try an gauge if their husband is cheating on them. Sophia and her best friend, Lori, not only work for the company but are roommates. And these two are so awesome together - they make me laugh - ALOT!!
We meet Mason when Sophia is set out to trap him. But things don't go down the way everything is planned during that first meeting - at least not how Mason's wife think they should go down. And Mason's best friend, Buzz, oh he is a hoot to boot.
I really won't say much more about this plot. Karli's has an interesting take on this plot and I love how she plays everything out. Sophia, Lori, Mason and Buzz are characters that I find myself loving so much and wanting them in my life.
Everything about this book, rocks - the story, the twist (never saw coming), the characters and everything in between is just perfect. Everything fits together like a puzzle and that's what makes this story so good. This story flows beautifully and flawlessly.

I usually don't write reviews unless I feel the need to express my feelings. I was approached by the author to leave one. So here goes
I liked the second characters more than the actual MC. The hero for me didn't do it. Especially since he was a self made business man that means he gets things done (I like my heroes/heroines to know what they want and go for it) If I found out my wife cheated on me and I tried before to help save my marriage but nothing worked I wouldn't wait around to divorce her based on her feelings getting hurt. I have feelings too lady.
He meets the heroine and wants to be with her. more reason to leave and get out but still he doesn't. Finds out the heroine was keeping info from him and instead of talking about it goes all the way across country. Then comes back and everything is peachy.
He acted more of the woman in this. Ok I was fine with that but that is it THE END. What happen to the ex? Is he divorced now. ????
I felt like we deserved a epilogue after everything but I suppose we have to wait for second characters book for that. And I'm not a fan on waiting for a HEA in another book since I usually don't like the second characters to begin with. 🙃

I'm one of the people who found Karli Perrin when she first released her debut novel (actually, I think it was just before she released it..? Anyway...) and I've read everything she's released (for those only just finding this author, make sure you check out her earlier work) and I remember when she first announced that her next book would be The Honey Trap. I was already so excited to read it and she hadn't even started writing it yet. And then she made me wait 3 years. Yep. Three long years I waited while the author took a break from writing to start her family, but now she's back, and I finally have the book in my hands!!
So anyway. Was it worth over 1,000 days of waiting? Hell yes!! Mason Hunter is a dream boat! Seriously. He will have you swooning from beginning to end, and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to not fall in love with him. Sophia was a great and feisty character, and I loved how strong and independent she was. And holy heck I need to take a minute to recover from all the intense sexual tension! *phew*
As much as I loved Mason and Sophia, Mason's best friend, Buzz, was without a doubt my absolute favourite character. He was just HILARIOUS! His reasoning behind everything he did had me in stitches, I was forever laughing whenever Buzz was around, and I heard a whisper that he will eventually be getting his own book *squeals like only a true fangirl can*
The Honey Trap is heavy with dialogue which helps to make it a pretty quick and easy read, my only slight critique would be that I felt there could have been a bit more descriptive writing in some places, but that doesn't take away from how great the book was at all.
It's so great to have Karli Perrin back in the author world again, and I really can't wait to see what she brings us now.

I freakin' LOVED The Honey Trap!
I inhaled the words from the pages, totally ensconced in this all the feels story that had me snared in its trap before chapter one was over.
It's the kind of fluid, flawless writing that allows a book addict to just fall into the pages of a story & know instantly they are in for a good time.
The plot is clever, multifaceted and unwinds at a perfect pace to keep you engaged from start to finish. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll yell & you'll seethe - and a whole lot more in between.
You'll quickly fall in love with the good guys & you'll loathe the bad guys with equal measure - a testament to how well written and human they are.
Smart, funny, sassy, snarky - Sophia is my favourite kind of book heroine. She even has my favourite kind of bestie in Lori, and these two together are sisterhood perfection. Their conversations left me full of laughter, joy & reminded me how thankful I was that I had a couple of my own Lori type besties IRL.
Not to be outdone, Mason is what good book boyfriends are made of. Sexy, successful, adult and loyal (to a fault), I was cautious at first because of the premise, but quickly learned all is not what it seems. The more to got to know him, the harder I fell. I'm also going to admit that I fell hard for Buzz, Mason's loud, obnoxiously confident, hopelessly womanising, heart of gold BFF for life. I can't even with him.
I absolutely recommend this read to anyone who loves a contemporary romance with a few plot twists, laughter & lots of feels.
Personally, I would've loved an epilogue, because despite being thoroughly satisfied, the greedy book addict in me still wanted more!

I inhaled the words from the pages, totally ensconced in this all the feels story that had me snared in its trap before chapter one was over.
It's the kind of fluid, flawless writing that allows a book addict to just fall into the pages of a story & know instantly they are in for a good time.
The plot is clever, multifaceted and unwinds at a perfect pace to keep you engaged from start to finish. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll yell & you'll seethe - and a whole lot more in between.
You'll quickly fall in love with the good guys & you'll loathe the bad guys with equal measure - a testament to how well written and human they are.
Smart, funny, sassy, snarky - Sophia is my favourite kind of book heroine. She even has my favourite kind of bestie in Lori, and these two together are sisterhood perfection. Their conversations left me full of laughter, joy & reminded me how thankful I was that I had a couple of my own Lori type besties IRL.
Not to be outdone, Mason is what good book boyfriends are made of. Sexy, successful, adult and loyal (to a fault), I was cautious at first because of the premise, but quickly learned all is not what it seems. The more to got to know him, the harder I fell. I'm also going to admit that I fell hard for Buzz, Mason's loud, obnoxiously confident, hopelessly womanising, heart of gold BFF for life. I can't even with him.

Where has Karli Perrin been my whole life?!?! I have never laughed so hard reading a book as I did in The Honey Trap! This book is hilarious, sexy, and full of witty banter that I devoured it in a day!
Sophia, a scorned lover, that her current career track feeds her past relationship horrors has quite the interesting job.
MASON, our Hotel CEO extraordinaire, is mega hot, fit of course, and always the gentleman! These two meet under false pretenses, but Mason of course thinks its by chance...
Pick up this book I promise you will enjoy it - just look at all the reviews - everyone that has read it has loved it! Sophia & Mason are quite the match, but you will have to pick it up to see what prevents/stalls/curtails their Happily Ever After. One of my favorite parts is that Karli Perrin includes so many of our great Book Series in the book, like I need to go learn what Chapter 55 is all about in A Court of Mist & Fury!

I LOVED this book, Karli really brought it to life for me, I laughed so hard at one point i hurt my side, Sophie and Mason were great and this is a story line I've never read before, I would totally recommend this as a must read.

This is one of the BEST books I've read this year! I very HIGHLY recommend this book! It's hilarious, had fantastic characters and the supporting characters are even more hilarious! The story of "honey trapper" Sophia and a very unique case that involves a wealthy businessman Mason Hunter (swoon alert!) is one interesting and wild ride! Karli is a phenomenal author and I enjoyed her writing and the storytelling of Mason and Sophia was a beautiful, fun, enjoyable read! Karli keeps you on your toes with this story and this one plot twist you didn't see coming will have your jaw on the floor! I can't say enough great things about this book and again very highly recommend this!!!!

This book is so cute! I love it and I loved reading it! I had a constant smile on my face. It is so good!! It had me laughing out loud on multiple occasions. The characters were so fun to read about. I love Mason and Sophia and the side characters were so amazing Buzz and Lori are great additions to this story!! A really cute and fun read. It was a great slow-burning romance.The build up of the relationship and the time it took to get to know Sophia and Mason was wonderful. You can feel the attraction between these two on every page. Sophia and Mason are really great characters that you will love! Sophia is strong willed and kind of a bad-ass. She was awesome. Mason is so sweet and caring and such a wonderful guy. He is defiantly Book-Boyfriend material. I loved this!! The characters were so sarcastic it was so freaking amazing! If you are hesitant to read this because you hate cheaters don't be. Mason is not a cheater. This book was so great and I definitely say you should read this book!

Reading an author you've never read before for the first time is always exciting. Reading a new author you've never read before and absolutely falling in love with their book brings all sorts of amazing emotions within you - I can't wait to read more of their literature, this book wasn't just great, it was outstanding and that's just only touching the surface of its originality.

I can honestly say that The Honey Trap is officially one of my new favorite reads of 2017. This book is chock full of stimulating, compelling, engaging, and provocative story telling. The main plot to the story is so unique and creative that nowadays I strive to find books that have versatility, this is that book - I had no idea (even from the blurb) what a "Honey Trap" is and then I found out - BRILLIANT!

The characters in this book, including the supporting characters create the chemistry that makes reading this book addicting. I will guarantee that anyone who reads this book will join in " The Perrin Trap" that Miss Karli created with this book. She is on fire. What a refreshing and well needed book to read throughout all the heavy and depressing things that are going on in this world. I, personally needed this and I can't thank the author enough.

This was my first book by Karli Perrin and I loved it. This book reminded me so much of a romantic comedy movie and I ate up every page. I was envisioning this book in my head the whole time and it definitely played out like a Katherine Heigl movie.
The Honey Trap follows the story of Sophia and Mason. These two come from two different completely words and are cut from a different cloth. Sophia is the honey trap. She traps men, cheating men. Sophia gets paid to go out on dates with men and see if they will cheat on their wives. And they normally do.
Mason is a business man, a rich business man, and a married man. Though he hasn't been happy in a long time, he's tried to make it work but he just can't. But now his vindictive wife is after him. Little does Mason know is that Sophia has been hired to trap Mason. The more she gets to know him, she knows that he is a game changer. He's not a cheater. But it's her job and it's what she gets paid to do.
Will Sophia's feelings get in the way of trapping Mason or will she trap him simply because it's her job? This book is so fun and I enjoyed every page. If you love a light hearted, easy, fun read then this is the book for you. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This was light with a fun plot that had potential, but the build up took the greater part of 90% of the story then BAM - THE END. This story didn’t feel complete and left a lot open at the end. I was not a big fan of the MCs. This was not slow burn but very much felt like snail burn... Mason - he seemed like a good guy but he was dull, dull, dull and did not align with what his persona was. He needed to be more proactive and motivated.
Sophia - she was just okay, annoyed me at the end.
Needed another quarter more to complete the story.

If you do one thing this year, read this book.
What an amazing book! It had me grinning like a Cheshire Cat, laughing out loud and crying happy tears.
Sophia and Mason are such great characters that are hard not to love! Their best friends are also quite hard not to love.
Sophia and Mason have such a great connection from the very start right up until the very end.
What a flawless book! I've never read a storyline like it!
I couldn't recommend this book enough!

I have been a big fan of Karli Perrin’s writing ever since I read her books April Showers and April Fools. Naturally I was very eager to read this one and I loved the sound of it from the start. And yes, Karli Perrin didn’t disappoint me, I was hooked!!!!
This story follows Sophia Hamilton, who works as a honey trapper. She is getting paid for exposing cheating men and she is a pro at it.
A unique trap comes up with and with it comes hotel owner Mason Hunter. He is 27 years old, drop dead gorgeous and very attractive.
The first time the two of them meet is electric and you can literally see the sparks fly between them. The more time they spend with each other, the more feelings they develop. Sophia however, finds out what his wife Emily really wants from the trap and is caught up in the whole thing. Lies, misunderstandings and more things follow and her feelings for Mason don’t make it any easier.
To make the story even more exciting there are Lori (Sophia’s best friend) and Buzz (Mason’s best friend). They are there for their friends, but also have a little story to tell themselves.
What I love about Karli Perrin’s writing is her unique style. It’s sexy, short, on point, addictive, engaging, fresh and exciting! I was hooked from the start and on top of that there are some LOL moments as well as romance.

I loved this book! It was so different from all the books I read (and I read a LOT of books)! Sophia is a honey trapper. Essentially, she gets paid to trap men that cheat on their significant others. She’s one of the best there is, but a unique job comes along and it changes her entire focus. Two words people!! Mason. Hunter.

And he comes with a super full of himself and hilarious best friend, Buzz. (Who justtttt so happens to be having his very own book released soon!)
But this book was sooo good! I absolutely adored the hilarious banter and laugh out loud moments that Karli creates for you in her writing. It makes the story all the more engaging because not only is it a swoon-worthy read, but it’s funny and makes you feel good!

I've waited 3 years for another book from this author. Karli you didn't disappoint but next time don't make me wait so long.
Mason Hunter....the name alone is sexy as hell. This man is every girls dream a true alpha gentleman. So beautiful to see a leading male with such morals.

This books gives you them feels. I laughed so hard I had tears. I cried so hard. I wanted to throw my kindle. I abuse (in a good way) this author in messages. I wanted more and that how I determine what a great book is, once you stop you wish for more.

A fantastic read!
Karli is a new author to me, so I didn't know what to expect, but I absolutely loved it!
Mason and Sophia are so funny and likeable, i was rooting for them right from their first meeting. They had such a great connection and the banter and texts between them gave a good balance of humour against the more emotional side of the situation they were in.
I also LOVED their best friends! Im hoping there will be a second book for Buzz and Lori!

This book was so well written it was easy to read and flowed from start to finish. The chemistry between Sophia and Mason was off the charts and that elevator scene was HOT!!!! But my best bits had to be all about Buzz, everything that came out of his mouth was inappropriate and hilarious, please can Buzz have his own book? Karli, this book ticked all my boxes and made me smile on a dreary day. THANK YOU 💗💗💗

To anyone who is worried about the cheating - it is not what you think. Give it a chance, you won't regre it. And to anyone who thinks Sophia's job is unfair - you can't force a guy to cheat. She is dangling the carrot. She is a strong, badass woman. A guy can say no.

There wasn't a thing about The Honey Trap that wasn't perfect. The perfect H&H Mason & Sophie,
The perfect best friends - Lori & Buzz ( can't wait to read their story - just saying) and a story line that has you cheering for all.
I don't put any spoilers in my review - but I will say that I found the book to be a perfectly written, the pace bang on.
