Elora Dahill lived among humans because her powers of talking to animals was considered mundane. But when she's kidnapped by a vampire who wants to exploit her powers, she knows she needs help. Her call out gets the attention of a wolf king who's more than just a good man. He's hers. Her wolf.
Bastian Threwold is a wolf king. During a run, he hears a plea for help coming through telepathically. Something primal pushes him to find the woman and help her. It isn't until he sees her face to face he realizes how important she is to him. The woman he meets is like none other he’s met. She’s beautiful, powerful… and his mate.
Bastian saves Elora from the vampire’s clutches, and vows to keep her safe, but will her power’s advantages in battle be too much temptation for the King to ignore? Or will the passion that ignites between them be the real temptation?
Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
A captivating read that I am sure other readers will enjoy immensely Elora is regarded lowly on the grade of the witch’s power and so with this in mind she is fully aware that she is regarded extremely lowly by those that consider themselves above her. She unfortunately finds herself to be abducted by a vampire that is all powerful and manages to have her cries listened to via the Wolf King. Bastian rescues Elora and he knows that she is in fat his mate and he is determined to keep her as safe as possible, Elora is determined that she not have moved from one prison into another and wants to ensure that Bastian is aware of this. I guarantee that you will enjoy reading this wonderful story and am sure that you will be enchanted by the characters and the situation which are both remarkable. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
Elora is a witch with the power to converse with animals and one evening she is kidnapped by a vampire who wants to make her do what he wants and is trying to make her bend to his will. While she is being tortured she calls out for help. Bastian King of the Wolves is out for a run early one morning he is far from his lands when he hears a woman cry in distress he rescues her and realizes there is something special about her and he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe and keep her with him. The steamy fated mate adventure and suspense will keep you turning pages. I read a review copy without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.
Aadly this is a DNF for me. I have been in a reading slump for months now and this book sounded like the right book to get me out. But... It was like INSTA INSTA lust. Immediately after being rescued they get into it. Talking about kids and stuff. And it's just pages of s*x. So I really did want to finish the book because I would like to know what happens especially with Eloras ability to speak to animals. That is so freakin cool. But for now it's not for me. If you're looking for some very smutty reading with a shaman, shifters , vamps and of course witches then give it a go. But be aware that this is definitely a more smut than plot book.
King of Moon and Claws (Wildwood Shifters Book 1) by Milly Taiden. Elora is a witch and telepathic but only speaks to animals. She is kidnapped by vampire Vasilis so she can control all the animals and shifters to do what Vasilis wants. Elora refuses and is tortured. Wolf shifter King Bastian hears her telepathic cries for help and he is rescues her causing a war between wolves and vampires but they have all been played by one person. Can the war be stopped before everyone is killed.
Great beginning into the world of the Wildwood Shifters. This was a page turner right from the start. Elora is a very untethered witch not knowing her full powers. Her only strength is communicating with animals. When she is kidnapped and tortured by vampires her silent pleas are heard by a wolf shifter. Bastian doesn’t know where the voice in his head is coming but he is strongly drawn to it. Loved it.
I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Thoroughly enjoyable start to this series. I love the way Milly writes, it has everything to make a great story. The witch and the wolf king, who has found his mate, but was between wolf shifters and vampires is coming, but who is the enemy setting them up. You'll just have to read it for yourself 😁
I found this was an absolutely page turner right from the start. The plot is set around a wolf alpha king and his mate who he rescued from a vampire who was up to no good. Great drama action and romance with plenty of steam. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
The idea this story is built around is great and has fantastic opportunities. Unfortunately, the author was unable to keep my attention. Moving directly from being tortured for months to falling into the hero's bed is too unrealistic.
This was a great start to a new series. The character work and story line were well written and kept me coming back for more. I can't wait to see what Milly has in store for us next.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
I love this book. I loved the characters, the plot, and the author's writing style. I had the best time and I can't wait for the next book. Great start to a new series.
As a new series goes, this is I did receive this book as an ARC, but this is my honest review.a great start. With a slightly different plot style to usual.
Don't bother. This book isn't worth the trouble. Sorta hard to get into the story when you really just want to smack some sense into the main characters.
Elora is considered to be a low-grade witch with little power other than being able to talk to animals. Then she is abducted by a powerful vampire and manages to get her cries for help through to the Wolf King. When Bastian rescues her, he realizes that she is his mate. Now, he is determined to keep her safe. Elora doesn't want to trace one prison for another, even if this one is a palace and no one is torturing her. But something more insidious is going on than just a power hungry vampire, will Elora be able to figure out what it is before Bastian's kingdom is destroyed from within? I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
