Oh my

Dying to love her is exactly what Andre had done for two years. I felt bad for him and the situation he and the love of his life faced. I wish there was a little more to the story, as I needed to see this couple grown.

Ava and Andre, sweet love

This was a quick read that I mostly enjoyed. I took off one star because of the writing. It wasn't bad, it was just a little jarring, making the flow difficult for me as a reader. Ava's POV was in first person present tense and Andre's POV was in third person past tense. It was confusing at first, and then became a chore for me to continue. And the head hopping made it even worse.

And I took the second star off because, if I'm being honest, I thought Andre was far too aggressive and brutish with Ava (even though it was somewhat warranted). And Ava's reason for keeping their son from him was ridiculous (I mean, if you're sick and dying wouldn't you want your son to know the only parent he'll have left?).

But with all that being said, I did like the story overall. Don't know if I'd recommend this, though.

Andre Rockwell fell forever in love on the beach of Nassau with Ava Flowers. They married, and she high tailed it back to her hometown and refused his calls. Little did she know she brought back a gift from her stay on the Island. One day at a local restaurant, Andre spots his beloved Island wife and almost freaks out. He had to get answers on why she refused his calls and why she has this package that looks exactly like him. He’s currently engaged but he doesn’t even like the woman he’s engaged too. He just wants to purge Ava from his heart. But nothing is working; she belongs, to him and he’s tired of playing that game. He’s going to lead with his heart.

Love Regardless

This novel was very very heartfelt and heartbreaking in numerous chapters. I loved Andre because his love continued strong even when he found out the truth about Ava. Tina is one of. my favorite authors because she brings her characters to life with realistic issues. Well done.

true love wins the race

This was a great read for it took me to the lows of Ava’s life how she suffered with her condition but still managed to survive a pregnancy and lived to take care of her child and gain her relationship with the man she loved and did not think she could keep

So good 😍❤️

I enjoyed this book. It held my attention, and it never let go. The story flows seamlessly. Ava lived a sheltered life she's finally able to take a trip. Andre is a workaholic. This doesn't leave much time for Romance. This book is definitely worth reading. On to book two. It's always a pleasure reading your books 🥰.

Loved the story of love lost and found.

It was wonderful love and survival story. Never give up on love and love one's. Love how love was found by incidence and see a child you know is yours immediately

Couldn't put it down!

As always Tina Martin does not disappoint. Health issues can break a relationship that spans months or even years what will do to a love at first sight relationship?

Living to Love

This was a very sweet story. Ava and Andre met in Nassau, got married and lived separate with no contact for 2 years! Imagine the reason and surprise when they see each other again!

Aw.... So cute

Andre took it to heart when the marriage vows says "in sickness and in health". He really love Ava. This was a good book. It shows true, loyalty, understanding. A deep abiding, never ending love. Loved Ava's mom.

At Last!

It took some time for Andre to convince his lady love Ava, that he truly loved and cared about her. She didn’t want to be a burden due to her heart problems. In the end, she believed that this man truly loved her.

Let's be honest Ava was a trifling bitch. You knew you had health issues but you still thought to keep your son from his father. So what would of happened if you had of died before getting back in touch with each other. She was extremely selfish. I so hate these hiding baby trope books.

Sad story, good plot. Some love can be a challenge, but its always worth a try. Love and health can put struggles in your way and future, but hang in there.

Dying To Love Her

Short and sweet with powerful emotions. Andre proved there is such a thing as love at first sight. Ava had to learn to live and plan to die.
I recommend this book.

Exceptional & entertaining!

The author is quickly becoming a favorite, she writes so plain and intelligently. The books that I have read could be real life scenarios, and she brings the stories to life. Looking forward to reading the next two books of the series.

This was a great story and a good example of how we can be our own worst enemy.

Plagued with a heart condition for most of her life, and sheltered (READ "forbidden") from doing the things girls her age do, Ava finally gets fed up with being careful and cautious and hearing about how she's DYING, and decides to do some "real living" - which leads her to a one week tropical vacation.

Enter wealthy, self-made millionaire,Andre Rockwell. He's also taking a week off from life after spending more than a decade achieving his dream - building his company into an industry leader. Andre is super hot. Andre is also more than a little cynical about matters of the heart.

A chance meeting on the beach leads Ava and Andre to drinks, dinner, drinks, drunken sex, and more drinks. Oh, and they end up married - which neither seem too overly concerned with at the time, but by the end of the week, they are in love. Andre freely admits to wanting to continue the relationship when they return to the states. Ava...not so much. She feels she has nothing to offer Andre but heartache and sadness because she is DYING. So, after agreeing to getting together when they return home, Ava engages in just a bit of deceit about her personal details, which hinders Andre's desperate search for her.

Here's where my "Ava-issues" begin. First, she's hiding and avoiding Andre, but SHE DOES NOT CHANGE HER PHONE NUMBER! And he calls several times a day for months. Soooo...she doesn't want to be found, and doesn't even block his number, much less change hers; and he hires people to track her down, but no one can trace her phone number? Even Gus & Sean from "Psych" would have figured this out! Heh-heh!

Next "Ava-issue" - as a result of her time with Andre, Ava does get pregnant, and despite everyone reminding her she's DYING, she gives birth to little Andrew. Ava is determined to be a good mother and care for her son on her own, which leads her to move out of her Mom's home and relocate to another city. All very commendable and maternal. But, she still refuses to contact Andre to tell him about his son, even though she's looked him up online and finds out exactly who and where he is. I became angry with her because of all the talk of staying away from Andre because she is DYING, what about her son? If she's so convinced she can't live long enough to have a lasting relationship with the father of her son, what's going to happen to Andrew when she DIES? Shouldn't his father be informed of the "matter at hand"? (You know, she's DYING!) This made her pity party a bit disingenuous, but I won't call her on it because she is DYING.

The inevitable "meeting" happens and everything blows wide open. Ava's afraid, Andre's pissed off, and no one's talking in complete sentences. It was awesome! I thought Andre was overly mean, but again, I'll back off because he didn't know yet about her heart condition.

My favorite scene is when Michelle gets the big kiss-off! Read the book - you'll love it too - although it seemed she went too easily and quickly. I don't trust her.

Ava's Mom seems overbearing...and she is...but you'll grow to love her, and she is key to their story.

Do Ava and Andre make it? Does Andre's Mom make Ava cry? Does Ava die? Read-the-book! It's a great ride!

Wow, the heroine, the focus of the hero's undying love was a completely selfish, short sighted whiner. And I got how being told all your life that you were dying, would do irreparable harm to your psyche but geez Louise! This chick was just taking that woe is me to a level too far. Especially since even though she's dying, there are no real symptoms described, she works two jobs, had a baby, with zilch problems, and still wants to go on about how the hero shouldn't love her because she could go at any second? My real problem with this story, other than the author being vague with the illness, is that after resolving the whole, I'm dying, so don't waste your time loving me situation, guess what book two's plot revolves around?

The exact same thing. Sigh. I am so unbelievably annoyed right now....

So unless you love hassle, and almost throwing your kindle down in frustration, do give this one a pass.

I thought this was a lovely story but the author at times did not seem focus. The errors in the story was noticeable but still a sweet story.
