Everyone knows how to make basic cupcakes. I got this book not for the recipes but to kick it up a notch when I do make cupcakes! This book gives me some easy to follow directions on how to do just that! I love the idea of filling cupcakes with a cream filling or even candy. I have made ice cream cakes before and never would have entertained the idea of making ice cream cupcakes. NOW!! It's on my list of things to try to make!

This would be a good jumping off point for someone new to the world of baking. There aren't many recipes that require you to cook from scratch, so it isn't as daunting for beginners. The instructions seem very detailed. I think more experienced bakers wouldn't benefit much from this. But like I said, if you're new to the world of baking, this would be an informative cookbook for you!

This is nothing more than a platform for selling their products. Every recipe calls for their cake mix and their fillings and their frosting. So lame.
