This book didn't do it for me. In my opinion, there was no character development. Lydia is a prostitute and one of her johns have fallen for her. Max is a successful stock broker. It seemed like they had been hooking up for a while. I don't remember if the exact time was told that Max was her john. All of a sudden he loves her and wants her to stop being a prostitute. He takes her in after a horrible event because he is so in love with her. There is a rehab for prostitutes to go to so they can rehabilitated. That is where we meet the owner Pastor Passions. Now he is a character. He has a 12 step program to help the prostitutes.
I struggled to finish this book. I said I wasn't going to finish it. I decided to came back to it a day later just to finish it. It was truly a struggle. I don't think I would recommend this book to anyone.
I am here to read erotica, but if you know anything about me, you know that I love a really good belly laugh. This book was so funny, over the top, and over done. I would say this book is very much a parody. Liken it to one of those Scary Movie type deals that makes fun of all of the big name movies in the genre. I don't know if that was the exact aim of the authors, but that's what I got out of it.
I couldn't take one thing out of this book seriously. It is fully cliches. I shook my head continuously and had to hold in my giggles throughout. I just can't get over the fact that someone actually wrote this. I'm impressed and thoroughly pleased, because I detest romance books. Baby, you don't even know.
