Tajima's amazing photographs of dinosaurs at large in the contemporary landscape include a 20-ton triceratops trundling along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, the streets of Los Angeles assailed by a massive tyrannosaurus rex, and a pteranodon circling the skies over San Francisco. 45 color photos.
Very special book--my personal favorites are "Ankylosaurus on the train tracks", "Brachiosaurus at Monterey Beach", and "Diplodocuses on the shore." The digital photo manipulation looks unsophisticated nowadays, though. I'd love to see what the artist could do with today's technology! I think any boy or girl interested in dinosaurs would love this book. I first saw it when I was five. I rediscovered it a couple years ago. And I still think an ankylosaurus on train tracks is one of the coolest things ever.
